Fabulous Trip Margaret River

My cousin arrived from Ireland and we decided to do the full day Margaret River Trip with Adams . From the very second we arrived at the Perth Convention Centre , we we greeted with a warm welcome and directed to our coach . coach Captain Wally and Gordan were our tour guides for the day . We were in our comfort zone straight away and the commentary was excellent ( being from WA myself , I learnt so much . ) After stopping in Busselton , we went onto Margaret River for a great lunch at Bootleg Brewery which went down with nice beer tastings . We visited the caves and then headed towards Augusta where the Southern Ocean meets the Indian . We had a rainy day but it certainly didn't stop us from enjoying ourselves , on the way home we stopped for dinner at Abby Beach Resort before heading back to Perth . The scenery was truly beautiful and the trip really highlighted WA"s beautiful South . Thanks for such a fabulous day trip . We will certainly be booking more tours through ADAMS in the future . A Truly fabulous tour

Hi There Thanks for taking the time to leave a review. We are so pleased you enjoyed your trip with us and thanks for the great photos. I hope you can do many other great tours with us in the future.

One of the best things about joining one of these tours is that you don't have to do the driving especially on a long drive to the Pinnacles. Peter was our driver and he did a very good job on explaining all the sites we were going to see for the day. Great commentary and never felt rushed.

Hi There BayAreaTraveler6338 Thanks for your review! Glad you travelled with us and you enjoyed your tour. I hope your time in Western Australia was worthwhile.

We recently had 4 days in Broome and toured the West Kimberley Coast with Adams to take us up to Cape Leveque. It was the first time we had visited this region and I highly recommend taking an Adams day tour to get a taste of what the region has to offer. We started at 7am with pick up from the visitor centre and enjoyed a tour up to Beagle Bay to see an aboriginal community and chapel with a superb Pearl alter. Then into another Bardi settlement to gain a greater understanding of indigenous communities. The highlight of the tour was a visit to Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm with a superb barramundi lunch and then up to the pristine coastline of Cape Leveque. Stunning! Our driver Brenden was a dinky dye Aussie with a great sense of humour and did an excellent job keeping us on time and on schedule. Highly recommend this tour.

Hi There Billie12GoldCoast Thanks for taking the time to write a review on your experience with us. Its great to hear you enjoyed your day tour to Cape Leveque. The Kimberley region is amazing and offers such a great range of authentic experiences you just cant get in a city. We will pass on your thanks to Brendan.

Pardon me for the lengthy review as I want to make it as clear as possible. I booked a day tour for 13th June, Monday from ADAMS Pinnacle tours via Students flights on 11th June (Saturday). My wife and I were there at Students flights (a travel group agency) when the sales personnel, James, called Adams tours on my behalf to make the booking. So, I'm pretty sure that James, from Students flight did convey the following important details to Adams Pinnacle tour: 1) We will be picked up from our hotel at Mantra at Murray at 0800. We will have to down at the lobby 10 minutes earlier to wait for the pick-up. 2) We have top up one of our meals to a lobster lunch, at an additional 20 dollars. An itinerary was issued to me at the end of the booking. The above special request made was also printed in the itinerary. The itinerary carries the logo of ADAMS pinnacle tours, NOT student’s flight. MY FIRST ENCOUNTER OF BAD SERVICE FROM ADAMS. - Unfortunately, I fell ill a day before the departure of the day tour on 12th June, Sunday. I was having a high fever and I was really quite sick and had to get a doctor to see me at my hotel despite knowing the high consultation fee it would cost. The doctor advised me that I am unfit for the day trip. My wife called Adams' hotline and spoke to a customer service officer, Julie. However, she was rather unsympathetic towards my circumstances and insisted that I cannot cancel my trip. Worst, she advised my wife that if I am really that unwell, I should just claim the damage from my travel insurance company instead. That is totally unacceptable as she was plain rude towards my wife (the speaker was on) and she sounded she just wanted to close the case abruptly. Eventually, we managed to request to postpone my trip a day later, from the 13th June to 14th June instead. SECOND EVIDENCE OF POOR COORDINATION On the 14th June, because of the arrangement made earlier, we were expecting to head down to the lobby only at 750am (10 minutes before the pick up at 8). However, at 7.31am, I received my first call from Adams' tour and the phone operator shouted at me, "Where are you sir. The bus is already here." I tried to explain that I was told that pick up was at 750. Worst, she continued, "The bus is here and we are going to leave Perth Convention centre. I was shocked as the convention centre is not exactly very near my hotel, at least 3 streets away. I asked for a grace period of 10 minutes to make my way as I was still in the hotel. She again, shouted at me, "No, I can't give you 10 minutes. We will leave soon. You need to make your way NOW!" As this was our first trip in Perth and considering we didn't head out for the past 2 days as I was sick and resting in the hotel, I decided to rush, hoping to bring my wife for the day tour. We managed to catch onto the bus in time after running crazily down the streets. However, upon boarding the bus, the driver said, "Okay, we managed to pick up the strays." To be honest, I was really mad at the driver but I didn't want to say something nasty and hold up the time of the rest of the tourists. But, seriously, that's the kind of service standard that ADAMS tour was trying to provide? THIRD ENCOUNTER OF POOR COORDINATION. The tour commenced and one of the highlights was the lobster lunch that we were looking forward to. All participants who upgraded the meal to the lobster lunch will have to collect the vouchers from guide. When I went up, I was told that it doesn’t show that I had upgraded the meal. I took out my itinerary, with ADAMS' LOGO and it stated CLEARLY, "P3L WITH optional lobster lunch upgrade. However, the guide insisted that there are no records on his side and advised me to purchase my own lobster lunch from the counter. In the end, what was served to the 2 of us was a pathetic chicken SALAD. We paid $450 AUD in total for this 1 Day trip. Speechless. 4th ENCOUNTER of poor service. - My wife and I were very upset with how ADAM's is operating and we are very shocked by the services provided. We called in the hotline to provide feedback and all it always ended was denial from the customer service officer on the phone. All I wanted initially was to get back my 20AUD for the meal top up because it was a fact that I paid to top up and I did not receive the right product! It’s not about the lobster meal but I am totally disgusted by the service provided by the staffs in general. I went back to Students flight since they helped me coordinated with ADAMS. Again, ADAMS's staff denied about EVERY mistakes made (And it’s really everything because I was there when James made the call). I am not referring to just one staff because I managed to speak to quite a number of ADAMS’ staffs (3 different operators and the guide). It’s a pity I didn't catch the rest of the customer service officers' name other than Julie. I was told by Students flight that the best ADAM's could do was to offer me another tour. To the owner, Adam, I believe it is not your fault because I saw the replies you gave to each of your customers and I really believe you are serious in this field of tourism. However, sadly, your people on the ground are really bringing the name of the company down and as a tourist, I have very bad impression with the service provided by your staffs. Not only they are rude, but they passed too many demeaning comments to me. I'm not totally not interested for any subsequent tours. If recent reviews are bad, it is time to reflect and see the direction you would want for your company. I really hope tourists reading my review can be more cautious and I pray that you guys will have a better experience in Perth than I did.

Hi Khengloon Appreciate you taking the time to detail your experience with us. Apologies it has taken so long to respond as I had ordered a full investigation to all of your claims. I have received and reviewed the findings of the investigation and whilst I can see some areas we can improve there are certainly things that are unfortunately outside of our control. In relation to what started your day off poorly was that your pickup is 7.15 am which it appears you may have misinterpreted at 7.50am, Obviously with a coach load of other travellers any delays can have a huge impact on our other guests. I wont go into all aspects of your complaint as you appear to have so many however I will say our Management team will be discussing everything and if there is any way to improve we will do so. I know my team is very distressed to receive this feedback but I am confident that perhaps this is just an extraordinary situation. I am unable to ascertain your attitude with the staff but as humans they would likely be displeased if you were not polite due to your frustrations. Anyhow I do hope you enjoyed your time in Western Australia and this day did not define your time in WA. I sincerely apologise and as you can see by other reviews with over 100,000 passengers a year we almost always deliver a high quality experinace.

I was only in Perth for 26 hours so I chose the tour on the spur of the moment. Their name was on the map that the hotel had given me. What a great choice. The concierge booked this for me. The pickup bus was on time. The bus was clean and the driver was very friendly and my name was on the list. All the pickup buses arrive at a central pickup point and then everyone is dispersed to their appropriate drivers and buses. Our driver was extremely professional. He addressed me by my name and took care to ensure that we were all safe and happy. The bus has toilets on board. The seats were like travelling in first class. The bus was clean and well maintained. The tour itself was great fun and informative. Lunch was included. The lunch was fresh and well presented. We had time to stop at the attractions and I never felt as if we were rushed. The driver was knowledgeable and answered all questions that were put to him. I would recommend this tour and when again in Perth will probably do another Pinnacles Adams tour.

Hi Helen Thanks for your wonderful review, I have no doubt my team will be delighted to read this! So glad you enjoyed your time with us.

Our review, we did 2 different Days Tours & Airport transfer pickup from Pensione Hotel to T1 Airport On 30 May 2016, we did Pinnacles & Caversham Wildlife and it was good and enjoyable. On 3 June 2016, we did Margaret River and though the journey was long but yet not disappointing cause we covered all places in the itinerary - very scenic places. Most importantly, Coach Captain Bryan Johnson is a very friendly, professional and experienced guy, and he knows the Margaret River region very well to ensure our main safety on the road. On same day, we also booked our airport transfer pickup on 5 June 2016 at 4.30pm from Pensione Hotel, at the Perth Convention Hall via Adams Manager thru Coach Captain Bryan Johnson. Of cos, Bryan saw and witnessed the whole incident that I paid $50 in CASH to Adams Manager for 2 persons. Adams Manager confirmed that they will send me an email that I provided to acknowledge the payment but I never received any email. Since we already did 2 tours with ADAMS, so it is not our concern on the Airport transfer pickup on 5 June 2016 at 4.3pm with NO SHOW UP. On 5 June 2016, there was NO SHOW UP of ADAMS on our airport transfer pickup from Pensione Hotel. With the great help from staff from Pensione Hotel to check and talk to ADAMS , finally confirmed our booking earlier. Finally, we were so relieved that we did not miss our plane that day. Guess what! Bryan Johnson came to pick us to airport. So, we hugged good-bye and really big thank you to him as our SAVIOR! 😊 I have rated Very Good is because of the day tours. In the final analysis, ADAMS should investigate the ADAMS Manager who took my cash and did not make my airport transfer pickup on 5 June 2016 at 4.3pm.

Hi Missyjl2016 Thanks for taking the time to write a review, Firstly I am very pleased you enjoyed your day tours with us in Western Australia. I will make sure your feedback is passed on to Brian and I'm sure he will be very happy. In regards to the airport transfer I have investigated this and I'm pleased to say your money was sorted and the booking made by our City office. Unfortunately it was incorrectly processed at our other office and the wrong date entered into our system. The good news is that nothing untoward had happened and I realise we managed to pick you up and get you to the airport. So please accept my apologies for the delay but I'm pleased you enjoyed your time with us.

We have a powerful computerised telescope and astro binoculars for your use so that you can see the planets and our moon in great detail. The Pinnacles Desert is well renowned for it's ancient landscape and dark skies. The Australian Aboriginals are considered to be the world's first astronomers.

The tour runs all year round, the night sky changes throughout the seasons and although it is a bit colder, autumn, winter and spring are some of the best times of the year to see the Milky Way and Planets in the Southern Hemisphere.

Sand Surfing in Lancelin

Experience the thrill of sand boarding at one of Australia’s premier sand boarding destinations, the Lancelin Sand Dunes. You will be impressed by the pure white sand and be awestruck by the giant sand dunes that can be up to three storeys high. We have our own custom made sand boards for you to use. It is also a great spot for photography.

Nilgen Lookout

We now head north along the Indian Ocean Drive. During wildflower season, we stop at The Nilgen Lookout, a beautiful picnic spot overlooking the surrounding nature reserves and the Indian Ocean to do a short walk to see wildflowers.

Bushtucker/Bush Medicine Walk

There are over 5000 native plants used by the Australian Aboriginals for food and medicine. Your guide will stop at one of the bays near the Pinnacles Desert to show you some of the local plants that were used by the Aboriginals when they lived off the land.

Pinnacles and Nambung National Park

Our last stop, The Pinnacles desert, a very unique Australian landscape. We get there late in the afternoon which is one of the best times to photograph the Pinnacles where the shadows of the Pinnacles create remarkable patterns and shapes that ripple over the desert sands. There are walking trails and an observation deck overlooking the Pinnacles desert. There will be plenty of time to walk through the Pinnacles landscape and we will have a Barbeque dinner on the observation deck under the stars.

  • Star Gazing

After dinner, it’s now time to slow down and unwind under the stars of the stunning outback night sky. We have a large computerised telescope and Astro Binoculars which will allow you to get a close up view of the stars and some of the planets. You can even attach your smart phone to the telescope to take some stunning photos of the moon when it is visible. Using a laser pointer your tour guide will point out items of interest in the sky and you can hear stories of the Aboriginal Dream Time relating to the night sky. Look out for the Milky Way and see if you can spot the giant scorpion, the kangaroo or the emu in the sky. You may also see planets such as Saturn and Jupiter depending on the time of year and if you are lucky, you may get to make a wish upon a shooting star.

We provide dinner under the stars where you get to sample fresh produce from Margaret River and the Swan Valley including our famous Western Australian wines. Please let us know if you have any specific dietary requirements.

Tour Commentary

Your tour guide has an extensive knowledge of the local wildlife and vegetation as well as some of the history of the areas you will see.
