I was here last 2014 when it's still called Imperial Palace. The place is just simply magestic! It's amazing! We didn't stay in the hotel but just for day tour. I can't remember how much because my cousin paid it all and I can say it's damn expensive. I think the price is quite reasonable because the place is exquisite! When we got there, we go for a ride on one of their yellow submarines, then my favorite, the amazing buffet. The food was great. I remember not wanting to stand up even with the fullness I felt, because the food is awesome! The beach is so beautiful and for the Kpop lovers out there, you're going to love this place. It felt like I was the tourist in my own country because it is dominated by Koreans. This was indeed the best time I had in Cebu and the reason why I want to keep coming back. More

The villas we got had outdoor jacuzzis that didn't function. Wifi connection was very good and accessible anywhere in the resort. Breakfast became my favourite (loved everything in it). Key cards were password protected but they don't get reactivated immediately even after you pay for the extension of your stay. Yep, we discovered this on our own coz after paying for the extension, no one told us about what should be done to our cards for them to work again. Needless to say, we tried getting into our rooms to no avail. Would I come back? Maybe for breakfast.

Dear Guest, Thank you very much for your feedback on your stay with Jpark Island Resort & Waterpark, Cebu. The resort is fabulous..having a big pool and a water park is what every children will ask for.. My kids definitely enjoyed this resort. The crew are all compassionate with their job. Guillermo from Abalone Restaurant never failed to give us Mango and Chocolate drink for my little one, Kudos to him and he remembers it all the time.. The crew at Aquos bar, are all cool guys.. Service are absolutely amazing.. The only thing I'm not satisfied is the bed, we have 2 twin bed( kids ok - certain age) so I feel like it's so small for us. Being a 5 star hotel , they need to change their bed to bigger size. It's quite expensive to be in this hotel so, It is the hotel's responsibility to provide a restful sleep after long hours of swimming. Also they have an online website but apparently when we booked it on their website , we were directed to directhotels.com which only offered airport transfer .. But even if , owing to the fact that it is a 5 star hotel, and I'm pretty sure there are some tourists that will come from seaport , the hotel should make arrangements to pick and drop their guests in seaport , free or of minimal charge.. Everything is quite on high end price.. It is therefore expected to be treated as such.. It's a Korean resort, so during our stay ,the guests were 95% Korean and remaining are mixed. I don't know if it's just me, but I felt that most guests are mean to the crew/ staff. Overall the service is very good.. There are downfalls , and I'm hoping that they will do something to change things..also the activities need to change every night.. Looks like it's just the same thing every night ..

Dear Elisaden S., Thank you for leaving us a beautiful review. We are happy that you enjoyed your stay with us. It is heartwarming that you have appreciated the service of our staffs specially Guillermo from our Abalone Restaurant. We will commend his goodness towards our guests and we'll let him be an inspiration to others. Your comment about our room, transportation and safety is very much appreciated. At the same time, we acknowledge your negative comment. Rest assured, we will look into the matter. Your statements will definitely help us improve our Hotel especially the service we extend to our guests. This will be an inspiration to continue serving good food and quality service. We hope to see you soon. Best, Sean Noh General Manager

Upon booking here I was expecting a huge resort. Yes, it is big, but just thought it would have had a couple more slides and maybe another pool that could be used by adults or more for swimming. It is not quite and all inclusive resort either. All extra activities need to be paid for. Putt putt, go karts, chess (100 peso each) and kids games or pool table (50 peso). Would have thought for the hefty price you pay to stay here these minor things would have to be included. Aside from that. Room was a tad dated but big and we really enjoyed our view of Cebu city off the balcony. Breakfast was very good. Good sized gym. Great staff (helped us out with a problem on our booking via 3rd party) and off course the water park is great to have on site. We choose to eat out on the street to save some $ and found many choices. We did have 1 lunch by the pool which was actually decent food. If we didn't have our 4 yr old son with us I would not have stayed here. And would we come back and stay here, probably not unless we get a real good deal.

Posting this review just now after having visiting the place last year , and also couple of years back when it was under different name. First time I went there I was not yet fully accustomed with those huge resorts they have in Philippine, and I was literally astounded.. a little bit like when I went to Plantation bay (another brilliant resort). It is a pricey place, even by foreigner's standard, but well worth a stay or day visit just to dream a bit. The place is huge with scenic views and feels like piece of heaven on earth: if you have kids they are catered for with all the swimming pool and water park things (if raining there is also indoor entertainment/play zones). The food is incredible - don't go there if you are on a diet there is too much temptation!- The buffet restaurant for breakfast and lunch is amazing: huge place with incredible amount of choice... to the point it becomes hard to choose, and you end up eating loads and loads (especially if like me you are adventurous with choice of food). Last note the place seems to have some kind of relation/partnership with Korean as there are lots of Korean apparently staying/visiting, and also food seems to be adapted in consequence. overall highly recommended especially for special occasions. Finally as usual in Philippines the hospitality/friendliness of staff is excellent.

So this review is about their day use (pool plus lunch buffet), not including the rooms as I haven't tried it yet. We decided to avail their day use last summer, April 2016 and it costs 2500 for a day use of their pool and waterpark plus lunch buffet. It also includes free locker and towel. The food is great; it's intercontinental thus a lot of choices. Jpark is a 5-star hotel so as a payer and guest you expect good service and in fairness, they did not disappoint. However, their pool I think is not free-flowing and during our visit, the water is SO hot. We we're like dipping in sauna basking under the summer sun. GREAT. It would be less-warm if it's a free-flowing swimming pool, like in Be Resorts Mactan and Movenpick. But the place is one to visit especially for local Cebuanos. There are only few waterparks in Cebu and Jpark is a must-visit. Also, if you're done with the pool, they have a beach but not that great and they also offers different water activities but sort of expensive.

JPARK Island Resort & Waterpark Travel Guide

(📍Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu)

day tour jpark

JPARK is the biggest island resort in Cebu by Justin Uy of Profood International Corp. famous for the Philippine Brand Dried Mango and Mango Juice Nectar. More than just a waterpark, it continues to evolve from their core Korean market to more local tourists as the Cebu market opens up. This was our home for 5 days during the recent Cebu Food & Wine Festival 2022.

Here is our Jpark Island Resort & Waterpark travel guide for your vacation in Cebu.

JPARK ISLAND RESORT & WATERPARK M.L. Quezon National Highway, Maribago, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu 📞 +63 32 494 5555. 📩 [email protected] FB : Jpark Island Resort & Waterpark. Cebu IG : @jparkislandresort 🌏: https://www.jparkislandresort.com

Mactan Suite Ocean View Room 1017

day tour jpark

We absolutely loved our Mactan Suite room because it is spacious and well-maintained, with an awesome view of the sea from the balcony. The suite room has a bathtub to hang around in, a big sofa lounge area for relaxing moments, and comfy beds and pillows.

day tour jpark

You can feel the warm Cebu hospitality upon your arrival, and I know that, despite all the difficulties dutring this pandemic era, they are back to give a warm welcome.

Currently, there are limited dining options until the rest of the restos open, like their famed Korean restaurant at Jpark.

Coral Seafood Restaurant   |  A la carte  |  11 PM to 11 PM  |  Open daily Check out Coral Seafood Restaurant Menu

day tour jpark

This is our favorite restaurant in Jpark because of the clean-tasting soulful seafood broths, a wide selection of fresh seafood, and their pasta dishes that are worth the calories.

Havana by the Sea   |  A la carte  |  11 PM to 11 PM  |  Open daily Check out Beverage Menu Alcoholic | Drinks

day tour jpark

Weather permitting, make sure to hang out at night at the Havana which has the same menu as Coral Seafood Restaurant but with a happy hour and romantic vibe under the stars.

The Abalone   |  A la carte and buffet  |  7 AM to 9 PM  |  Open daily Budget about ₱1,500/head

day tour jpark

We loved the grilled meats, Japanese sushi selection, the soup options and halo halo for dessert. I liked that the buffet was big and that there was not a lot of people crowding in one station even during peak hours. Also, you have to wear plastic gloves for added safety when getting food from the buffet.

Jlounge   |  A la carte  |  10 AM to 10 PM  |  Open daily Check out J Lounge Menu | Drinks Menu

day tour jpark

We would hang out here for drinks while waiting for pickup. Also a good meeting point with friends and family.

We were amazed at how fun the Pororo Park was even for us adults so I could just imagine how much the kids would enjoy the 2-level park.

Our favorites included Eddy’s Sliding Car, Digital Sketch, Pororo Train Ride, 5d Simulator and Duckpin Bowling in the arcade.

Best to go first thing in the morning for smaller crowd, better sanitation. Also for setting the day right with a good wholesome play. Two hours is enough to enjoy all the rides and interactive activities.

Make sure to bring your socks, mask and budget for tokens in the arcade game.

The service and hospitality of every crew and staff

the staffs very courteous and helpful. kudos to all.

fast service. friendly staff. It has a lot of facilities. Their garden view deluxe room is better than the ocean view deluxe room.

Our stay was awesome except it was raining every single day and we have a cabana which is we never enjoy it because of the rain, I hope they give us something because when we check in our first day it was raining already the whole time we are there the weather is not cooperating, it’s not the Jpark’s fault but I hope they will think to make our stay more memorable we never had time to enjoy the pool because it was raining, but over all it was good.

Water park your kids will surely love. The staffs were super friendly and helpful. The food was great. We loved the seafood platter at the Coral Restaurant. My kids had so much fun. The room is clean and spacious. The whole resort is clean and spacious. We have an extra booking outside booking.com the pororo suite, best room ever specially for kids.

Grate place to stay I have fun like ever and also the staff was generous. I want to came back again. I love it

It’s the best known of the Russian Kremlins – citadels or fortress’ protecting and dominating a city. During the early decades of the Soviet era, the Kremlin was a private enclave where the state’s governing elite lived and worked.

The Kremlin is outlined by an irregularly shaped triangular wall that encloses an area of 68 acres! The existing walls and towers were built from 1485 to 1495. Inside the Kremlin museum complex, there are five palaces, four cathedrals, and the enclosing Kremlin Wall with Kremlin towers.

The Armoury Chamber is a part of the Grand Kremlin Palace’s complex and is one of the oldest museums of Moscow, established in 1851. It showcases Russian history and displays many cherished relics. Definitely make sure to check out this museum while you’re here!

The Moscow Kremlin

The churches inside the Moscow Kremlin are the Cathedral of the Dormition, Church of the Archangel, Church of the Annunciation, and the bell tower of Ivan Veliki (a church tower).

The five-domed Cathedral of the Dormition is considered the most famous. It was built from 1475–1479 by an Italian architect and has served as a wedding and coronation place for great princes, tsars, and emperors of Russia. Church services are given in the Kremlin’s numerous cathedrals on a regular basis.

The Grand Kremlin Palace was the former Tsar’s Moscow residence and today it serves as the official workplace of the President of the Russian Federation (Vladimir Putin seems to have bagged that title for life) .

The cathedral was built from 1555-1561 by order of Tsar Ivan the Terrible. It was designed with an iconic onion dome facade and enchanting colors that captivate all who see it. Fun fact: If you’re wondering why Russian churches have onion domes, they are popularly believed to symbolize burning candles!

This iconic cathedral has become a symbol of Russia due to its distinguishing architecture and prominent position inside the Red Square. It’s one of the most beautiful, wonderful, and mesmerizing historical cathedrals in the world!

St. Basils Cathedral

The interior of the church surprises most people when they visit. In contrast to the large exterior, the inside is not so much one large area, but rather a collection of smaller areas, with many corridors and small rooms. There are 9 small chapels and one mausoleum grouped around a central tower.

Visiting the inside is like walking through a maze, there are even small signs all around the cathedral tracing where to walk, and pointing you in the right direction! The walls are meticulously decorated and painted with intricate floral designs and religious themes.

The church rarely holds service and is instead a museum open for the public to visit.

The park is beautiful and well maintained with paths to walk on and benches to rest on. The park contains three separate gardens: the upper garden, middle garden, and lower garden.

The Alexander Garden

Located in the upper garden, towards the main entrance to the park is the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier with its eternal flame. This monument was created in 1967 and contains the body of a soldier who fell during the Great Patriotic War!

The park stretches along all the length of the western Kremlin wall for about half a mile. Due to its central location in the city, it’ll be easily accessible when you’re out exploring The Red Square.

Next to the Kremlin is the Izmailovo open-air market, which dates back to the 17th century! The market is connected to the Izmailovo Kremlin by a wooden bridge. Pick up all your Russian souvenirs here, including traditional handicrafts, paintings, books, retro toys, and Soviet memorabilia!

You will find many hand-made and hand-painted options available at higher prices, as well as mass-produced souvenir options at lower prices!

Museum of Soviet Arcade Games

  • Closed on Mondays
  • Filled with old arcade games that visitors get to try out!
  • The museum also includes a small cafe and burger shop

For something a little different, check out the Museum of Soviet Arcade Games! The museum features roughly 60 machines from the Soviet era, including video games, pinball machines, and collaborative hockey foosball! The machines inside the museum were produced in the USSR in the mid-1970s.

Museum of Soviet Arcade Games

The best part is, most of the games are still playable! Purchase tickets and try the games out for yourself! The museum also has a neat little screening room that plays old Soviet cartoons and an area with Soviet magazines! This unique attraction is a fun addition to a 3 day itinerary in Moscow, and an attraction that all ages will enjoy!

Whether you’re spending one day in Moscow, or more, safety is an important thing to keep in mind when traveling to a big city! Overall, Moscow is a very safe place to visit. However, it is always recommended that tourists take certain precautions when traveling to a new destination!

The police in Moscow is extremely effective at making the city a safe place to visit and do their best to patrol all of the top Moscow, Russia tourist attractions. However, tourists can still be a target for pickpockets and scammers.

Moscow has a huge flow of tourists, therefore there is a risk for pickpocketing. Simple precautions will help eliminate your chances of being robbed. Stay vigilant, keep your items close to you at all times, and don’t flash your valuables!

If you’re planning a solo Moscow itinerary, you should have no need to worry, as the city is also considered safe for solo travelers, even women. Stay in the populated areas, try and not travel alone late at night, and never accept rides from strangers or taxis without a meter and correct signage.

The threat of natural disasters in Moscow is low, with the exception of severe winters when the temperature can dip below freezing! Bring a good, warm jacket if you visit in Winter.

However, please note that Russian views on homsexuality are far less accepting than those in Western Europe. Likewise, Non-Caucasian travellers may sadly encounter racism in Russia .

Don’t Forget Your Travel Insurance for Moscow

ALWAYS sort out your backpacker insurance before your trip. There’s plenty to choose from in that department, but a good place to start is Safety Wing .

They offer month-to-month payments, no lock-in contracts, and require absolutely no itineraries: that’s the exact kind of insurance long-term travellers and digital nomads need.

We only visited for the day and at P2,500 for locals and P3,500 for foreigners, I would say you're getting a good back for your buck. Although, I still think it's unfair to charge locals and foreigners a different rate. I mean, they come to the Philippines because it's cheap and yet we charge them higher anyway? Anyway, that's for a different debate. Haha JPark has so many beach chairs around the property that it can be confusing as to which ones will give you the best view. If you're here for a day like we were, be sure to arrive early as it can get crowded especially on weekends. That way you get the best seats. Lunch was great, especially the grilled meats and seafood. The selection is pretty decent without compromising quality. Beer on the tap is also available which is nice. Haha If you're going to pay like P1000 for a mid range buffet, might as well come to JPark and enjoy all the amenities. They provide beach towels, showers provided with shampoo and body wash from a dispensers and there's so many activities to choose from! We spend two days and a night in the waterpark. It is a fund place to be especially if you have family with kids. The rooms were very nice, staff friendly, the water park a lot of fun and the Chinese restaurant excellent. Sometimes I thought that smokers were allowed to much freedom, they really spoiled the fun a bit.

Greetings from Jpark Resort & Waterpark, Cebu! We are delighted to receive a feedback from you! We glad you enjoyed your stay here at our resort. Visited jpark with my 13 year old son and fillipino partner. My son loved the pools and water slides. The hotel is aimed at koreans and only a couple of westerners and this is reflected in the style of food at breakfast. The resturants are i think a bit expensive Staff as you would expect from fillipinos were very friendly. Rooms are a bit dated but very clean. The beach to be honest is not very nice All in all was a pleasant stay

Dear darren000000, Thank you very much for your feedback on your stay with Jpark Island Resort & Waterpark, Cebu. We appreciate and value your comment in line with our efforts to provide each and every guest a delightful and enjoyable stay. Again, thank you and we look forward to your next visit. Sincerely, Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark, Cebu

Very nice hotel for families with children. We enjoyed our stay at JPark Island Resorts. It was a nice hotel with a lot of Korean people. I'm not complaining just stating the facts. My husband was probably the only black brother there. The room was clean and service was excellent. Everyone was kind and the kids had an awesome time. Kids club was also nice to have some grown up time. The swimming pools and slides were a lot of fun. The morning buffet was awesome! There was just so much food! We were at the hotel for a week and didn't want to pay for laundry per piece so across from the hotel, there was a laundry service 40/ kilo. Which was a big save. We also went to the casino there. The casino was beautiful! New and cleaner than the other famous ones and we didn't need to wait until 14:00 to play blackjack! We really enjoyed it there. Especially with young kids, they will go wild and tire themselves out. We chose this hotel over Shangrila because for the same price we got the Mactan suite and it was a 1 bedroom with a mini kitchen and included pickup from the airport and all these small gifts that add up in the end.

Dear Wakako S, Thank you very much for your feedback on your stay with Jpark Island Resort & Waterpark, Cebu. We appreciate and value your comment in line with our efforts to provide each and every guest a delightful and enjoyable stay. Again, thank you and we look forward to your next visit. Sincerely, Jpark Island Resort and Waterpark, Cebu

The place is good for families with kids as the park is a wonderland for the young and young @ heart. There are many options to enjoy. Guests & their kids can go for the river pool. The older kids can enjoy the 3 kinds of slides. The snorkeling is also good although it is in the fringes of the cordon where the fish & corals gets interesting. Try the Mojito @ the Coral.

Very good for young children and an excellent breakfast provided. The breakfast is buffet with a very wide selection with hot and cold food to suit both western and eastern tastes. We had a two bedroom suite on the seventh floor with views of the water park and the sea beyond.
