I’m With Her is a band rooted in a rare alchemy: three celebrated songwriters coming together to create music that reveals entirely new possibilities in their distinct and deep-seated talents. Since forming in 2014, Sara Watkins, Sarah Jarosz, and Aoife O’Donovan have imbued their songs with a sharply detailed lyricism, graceful musicianship, and—perhaps most powerfully—mesmerizing harmonies that endlessly reflect their extraordinary chemistry.

The latest single from I’m With Her, “Call My Name” again shows the strength and vitality of their connection. In a departure from the deliberately insular making of their debut album  See You Around , the band pursued a new creative approach centered on true collaboration with producer Mike Elizondo (Regina Spektor, Fiona Apple, Dr. Dre). Recorded at Sound Emporium Studios in Nashville, “Call My Name” finds Elizondo building a hypnotic sonic backdrop, matching the track’s quietly urgent beat with I’m With Her’s interplay of guitar, Wurlitzer, and fiddle. The result is a song both stark and luminous, perfectly capturing the potent tension within even the most loving relationship. "Call My Name” was awarded a Grammy Award for Best American Roots Song.

“They know how to gather round a microphone and sing directly from their heart to yours. Purity is the brilliance behind I'm With Her.”

NPR

“…when the three women sang together, their voices became one instrument, sharing every breath”

NYT

“…delicately plucked acoustic guitars and loneliness-quelling harmonies”

Rolling Stone

“…a beautiful cohesion of tight harmonies, acoustic brilliance, and fresh songwriting.”

Pop Matters

"Together their sound is both ethereal and purposeful, a combination of searing musicianship and tender vocals."

Pink Reveals How She Finds Balance While On Tour With Her Kids & Family

By Taylor Fields

May 21, 2021

P!nk loves spending time with her family, but with a busy tour schedule, sometimes it's hard to "do it all." In a sneak peek at her iHeartRadio Album Release Party, the superstar opened up about how she finds balance when she has her family on tour with her.

"Trial and error, just like anything else. It was impossible at times, and it was also the most memorable moments of my life. I feel like when I look back on my life, that this time with my kids on tour, that will be the good old days for me," says P!nk. She adds, "Having one child on tour, Willow was sort of my guinea pig, where I learned all the things I could do and couldn't do. I'm a person that wants to do it all. I wanna be on stage until 11:30, I wanna nail it, I wanna come home, I wanna watch all my favorite shows, then I wanna get, like, eight hours of sleep somehow, and then I wanna go to the gym for four hours, then I wanna be with my kids all day, and wake up in time to do breakfast. And you just realize that you can't do it all. So, you just figure it out, and hope your kids come out with all four limbs."

Fans can listen and tune in free for a stream of the exclusive iHeartRadio Album Release Party with P!nk on Friday, May 21st at 6:30pm local time via LiveXLive.com and/or the LiveXLive app. Fans can also listen to the show via iHeartRadio's Today's Mix station. During her iHeartRadio Album Release Party, P!nk will perform, as well as listen along to more tracks from All I Know So Far: Setlist with a few lucky fans who will be joining the star virtually. P!nk will also talk about the new album and documentary during a special Q&A hosted by iHeartRadio's Valentine.

All I Know So Far: Setlist follows 2019's Hurts 2B Human , and includes 16 tracks total. The release accompanies P!nk's documentary and features live versions of many of her biggest hits like "So What," "What About Us," "Just Like A Pill" and more, in addition to new songs like the title track, "All I Know So Far" and her song with her daughter Willow "Cover Me In Sunshine."

Madonna joined on stage by five of her kids on opening night of delayed Celebration Tour

In total, five of the Queen of Pop's six children hit the stage as their mom kicked off her tour celebrating 40 years in music after previously postponing it due to illness.

Lester Fabian Brathwaite is a staff writer at Entertainment Weekly , where he covers breaking news, all things Real Housewives , and a rich cornucopia of popular culture. Formerly a senior editor at Out magazine, his work has appeared on NewNowNext , Queerty , Rolling Stone , and The New Yorker . He was also the first author signed to Phoebe Robinson's Tiny Reparations imprint. He met Oprah once.

Madonna is finally ready to celebrate and she's bringing her family along.

The pop legend kicked off her highly anticipated Celebration Tour , honoring her 40 years in entertainment, in London Saturday night with five of her six children joining in on the fun.

The anniversary tour, featuring four decades of the icon's hits, was supposed to launch back in July, but was postponed following a bacterial infection that left her hospitalized for several days .

In the grand tradition of pop stars bringing their fierce daughters out on stage with them (see also: Pink , Kelly Clarkson , Beyoncé ), Madge brought out daughters Lourdes, Mercy, Stella, and Estere as well as son David on opening night at The O2.

Madonna, 65, and Lourdes, 27, can be seen holding up "10" cards as a catsuited Estere, 11, saunters on by, invoking the ballrooms of the singer's signature hit, "Vogue."

Estere looks to be joining big sister Lourdes in following in her famous mother's stilettoed footsteps. Lourdes, under her stage name Lolahol, recently paid tribute to Madonna's "Frozen" video with her own clip for "Spelling."

At other points in the evening, Mercy, 17, played guitar during "Bad Girl," Estere's twin sister Stella danced to "Don't Tell Me," and David, 17, played guitar duing "Mother and Father." The only one not partaking in the family fun was eldest son Rocco, 23.

The Celebration Tour spends a few more nights in London before hitting the rest of the globe, winding its way through Europe before striking a pose and getting to it North America on December, with her first shows in Brooklyn, NY.

An earlier version of this story misidentified Estere. EW apologizes for the error.

Time to start saving up, Swifties. The news that Taylor Swift is going on her first tour in five years is exciting enough, but once you see the star-studded list of guest artists she’s bringing along for the ride, you’ll really want to purchase a ticket.

The pop star announced Tuesday (Nov. 1) that she would be embarking on The Eras Tour , a celebration of all 10 of the studio albums she’s released since 2006 — at least, that’s what the trek’s title suggests. Swift also shared a poster advertising the tour’s 27-date U.S. leg on Instagram featuring a collage of photos of herself through the years, from the time of her self-titled debut to Midnights , which dropped less than two weeks prior to the tour news.

All the Surprise Songs Taylor Swift Has Performed on The Eras Tour (So Far)

The Cats star hasn’t hit the road since 2018, when she launched her best-selling Reputation Tour. She had planned on performing again after the release of her 2019 record Lover in a concert series called Lover Fest, but canceled the shows due to the global coronavirus pandemic.

For those who are keeping count, this means that Tay has six albums-worth of new material that she’s never played live — if you include the previously unreleased vault tracks on 2021’s Fearless (Taylor’s Version) and Red (Taylor’s Version) . Studio albums Folklore, Evermore and, of course, Midnights , have all also been released in the time between Lover and the Eras Tour.

Though additional international dates won’t be announced until a later time, Swift did also reveal exactly who’s joining her during her highly anticipated return to touring. A total of nine artists make up the supporting act lineup for the tour’s first leg — with two acts slated per night to open for Tay night — and some of them are very familiar faces for the Swiftie community.

The “Anti-Hero” singer brought Williams out during a show on her Speak Now tour to sing “That’s What You Get” in 2011, cast her in the award-winning “ Bad Blood ” music video in 2015, and reveled in her praise of Swift’s 2021 record Evermore .

Taylor Swift Will Have Travis Kelce's Support on Tour, Says Source: 'He's Excited to Show Up for Her' (Exclusive)

It’ll be anything but a cruel summer for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce .

Swift has been a constant presence at Kelce’s Kansas City Chiefs football games over the last few months — and now that he’s a Super Bowl champion (again!), the star athlete is ready to return the favor as Swift hits the road on tour.

“They are making plans for the summer and are excited to travel together in Europe when Taylor takes her tour there,” a source says in this week's PEOPLE cover story.

Swift, 34, kicked off a new international leg of her record-breaking Eras Tour on Feb. 7, performing four back-to-back shows in Tokyo just days after becoming the first person to ever win album of the year for a fourth time at the Grammys.

On Friday, she’ll play her first of seven shows in Australia and will eventually make her way to Singapore in early March. Then, in May, the star will kick off a long string of European dates in Paris — and will stick around the continent for more than four dozen shows through August.

A source close to the Kelce family says that Kelce, 34, is ready to spend time in the offseason supporting his superstar girlfriend, just like she did at 13 games over his season.

“Football is everything to him. He lives and breathes it. But he’s ready for some downtime now and to show up for Taylor the way she has for him,” the insider says. “The attention on them is definitely a lot, but Travis has done a great job deflecting and focusing on what’s important.”

The pair will also head into the offseason with the full support of Kelce's inner circle, the insider adds.

"Everyone is so happy for Travis and the whole family. He really is feeling on top of the world," the source says. "His family is beyond supportive, and they're just along for the ride with him and to be there for him. They all love Taylor and see how happy she makes him."

Swift attended her first Chiefs game in late September, and Kelce later revealed that the pair had actually known one another for about a month at that point. In November, he supported her, jetting out to Argentina to watch another Eras Tour date in Buenos Aires with her dad Scott.

On Feb. 11, Swift was in the stands when he and his Chiefs teammates beat the San Francisco 49ers in Super Bowl LVIII, securing their third victory in five seasons.

“It was unbelievable,” Swift was heard telling Kelce as she headed down to the field to celebrate with a post-game kiss and hug. “That was the craziest thing I’ve ever experienced.”

The Super Bowl win was the cherry on top of an already impressive week for the pair, as Swift took home a pair of Grammy Awards on Feb. 4 and also announced her new album, The Tortured Poets Department , will be released on April 19.

“Man, [we're] on top of the world right now, baby,” Kelce said at a post-game press conference when asked about his and Swift’s status as a power couple. “It’s a good feeling.”

Taylor Swift reveals rare family details about mom Andrea as she performs in Singapore

Taylor Swift has given fans an insight into her dynamic with mom Andrea, revealing during her Eras Tour that "it means the world" to the pair to be back in Singapore, as it is where Andrea spent a lot of her childhood.

The 34-year-old shared: "My mom actually spent a lot of her childhood with her mom and dad and sister growing up in Singapore. So a lot of the time when we'd come here on tour, my mom would take me and drive me past her old house, where she used to go to school. So I've been hearing about Singapore my whole life."

Speaking during the Evermore  segment, while sitting at the 'Champagne Problems' piano and after singing 'Marjorie,' a song about her grandmother, Taylor continued: "To get to come here and play a show this big with so many beautiful, generous people who are essentially honoring my family with what you just did with that song, it means the world."

"I already love you, we're going to have a blast tonight," she concluded.

Taylor was speaking to the crowds on night one off six shows at the National Stadium in Singapore on Saturday March 2, 2024, Singapore time. They are her only Southeast Asia dates, and she will take a two-month break following night six before resuming the tour in Paris, France in May.

Continuing her 2024 trend, the surprise song segment was full of mash-ups as she sang  'Mine' from  Speak Now (Taylor's Version)  with 'Starlight' from Red (Taylor's Version)  on the guitar and then blended 'I Don't Wanna Live Forever from the Fifty Shades Darker  movie soundtrack and 'Dress' from Reputation  on the piano.

"This has become my favorite part of the show," she told fans, "because it's become just very chaotic and it's become a challenge for me to think of new things to do for every single city and just hope I'm doing something that you guys might like."

Andrea is known to fans as Mama Swift, and both Andrea and Taylor's father Scott are icons in the Swiftie community due to their decades-long dedication to their daughter's music career. Scott is known for handing out guitar picks to fans, while Andrea famously used to hand select fans on previous tours to meet Taylor backstage before the shows.

Taylor Swift's parents: Everything we know about Scott and Andrea Swift

Taylor wrote the 2008 song 'The Best Day' about her mom, and the two remain incredibly close; Taylor also wrote the devastating track 'Soon You'll Get Better' about Andrea's 2015 cancer diagnosis which went into remission but later returned in 2019.

A tourist plunged 250 feet to her death in Indonesia after tripping while taking photos on the edge of an active volcano.

The woman, identified as 31-year-old Chinese citizen Huang Lihong, was with her husband on a guided tour of Ijen — a volcano park in East Java — when she tumbled into the crater Saturday, Hongxing News reported.

A photo circulating in local media showed Huang Lihong apparently posing with her leg raised and clouds of sulphur gas behind her prior to the tragedy.

The couple had climbed to the top of the active volcano, which is known for its popular “blue fire” phenomenon, to catch the sunrise.

The tour guide later told authorities that Lihong had initially kept a safe distance from the edge of the crater after being repeatedly warned of the dangers while posing for snaps.

But she then started walking backward to inch closer — then accidentally stepped on her long clothing, tripped and fell into the mouth of volcano.

A photo circulating in local media showed Lihong apparently posing with her leg raised and clouds of sulfur gas behind her just before her deadly tumble.

The victim plunged 250 feet into the crater and it took rescue crews two hours to retrieve her body.

It took rescuers roughly two hours to retrieve her body, according to authorities.

The tourist’s death has since been ruled an accident.

The couple had climbed to the top of the active volcano, which is known for its popular “blue fire” phenomenon, to catch the sunrise.

Her body was scheduled to be transported to Bali before being flown back to China, local media reported.

The Ijen volcano — among a cluster in the region — is known for its “blue fire”, which is caused by combustion of sulfuric gases.

Nelly Korda’s $300,000 Watch (Mostly) Survived Her Celebratory Pond Jump

  • Author: Dan Gartland

Nelly Korda took home a cool $1.2 million in prize money for winning the Chevron Championship on Sunday, but she almost cost herself a fair amount of dough as well.

The win was Korda’s fifth straight LPGA Tour victory, making her the first player since Annika Sörenstam in 2005 to reel off five straight wins. (Take that, Scottie Scheffler. His run of four victories in five starts pales in comparison to what Korda has done of late.)

The Chevron is one of five majors on the LPGA Tour, and it’s customary for the winner of the tournament to celebrate by leaping into a water hazard. The tradition began when the tournament was held at the Mission Hills Country Club in Southern California, and when the tournament moved last year to The Club at Carlton Woods outside Houston, organizers dredged the lake near the 18th green to make it safer for celebratory swims. They even added nets to keep alligators out .

So when Korda punctuated her victory with a picture-perfect cannonball on Sunday, she wasn’ in any danger. Her watch was, though.

Into the pond! #TheChevronChampionship pic.twitter.com/U6IlKJkG2s — The Chevron Championship (@Chevron_Golf) April 21, 2024

One of Korda’s sponsors is Swiss luxury watch manufacturer Richard Mille, which created a signature watch for Korda called the RM 07-04. You can buy one here —if you have $300,000. Korda was wearing hers when she leapt into the pond on Sunday, which gave some people a fright. She was asked in her press conference if the watch was waterproof but thankfully confirmed that it is.

Q. I saw that you jumped in with your Richard Mille. Is it waterproof? NELLY KORDA: Yes, it is. Not the strap, but it'll be fine. pic.twitter.com/8jpUrr58nc — Brentley Romine (@BrentleyGC) April 22, 2024

“Yes, it is,” Korda said. “Not the strap, but it’ll be fine.”

According to the manufacturer, the watch is water resistant up to 50 meters (165 feet). So Korda could go scuba diving to celebrate her next win and it’d still be fine.

What Taylor Swift's new album means for her $1 billion fortune

  • Taylor Swift's new album, " The Tortured Poets Department ," is almost guaranteed to be a bestseller.
  • But no matter how well it does, it won't be the way Swift earns most of her money this year.
  • The remaining leg of her Eras Tour is expected to add much more to Swift's billion-dollar fortune.

Insider Today

Taylor Swift released her new album, " The Tortured Poets Department ," at midnight, and, in what should be no surprise to anyone on this planet in the year 2024, it caused a scene.

Her album garnered millions of streams within hours. There's almost no doubt it'll top the Billboard chart like the 13 Swift albums before it.

But no matter how many platinum certifications it collects or streams it racks up on Spotify, "The Tortured Poets Department" won't be Swift's biggest money-maker this year.

The remaining leg of her Eras Tour — kicking off in Paris next month and running through December — is instead expected to be what contributes most to her fortune, which Bloomberg estimated to be $1.1 billion last year.

"Live music is the engine of the global music business," Clayton Durant, an adjunct professor at NYU Steinhardt's Music Business Program who's the founder of CAD Management, told Business Insider. "Her tour is probably going to earn 10 to 15 times more than her streaming."

Swift's Eras Tour brought in more than $1 billion in ticket sales last year over its 66 dates. By the end of this year, she's set to have played another 86. Swift's cut is unknown, but based on industry standards, she'll surely earn nine figures in 2024 from ticket sales.

Concerts don't only bring in money from ticket sales.

Pollstar estimates that Swifties spend an average of $40 a head on merch at her concerts — that adds up to about $175 million in gross merch sales last year. Swift's camp keeps the majority of that.

Bloomberg estimated that between box office and merchandise, Swift pocketed $225 million, pre-tax, from her first 57 Eras Tour dates. Career earnings from ticket sales and merchandise account for 34% of her total net worth, while earnings from music streaming and sales account for 18%, Bloomberg estimates.

Related stories

Swift isn't alone in making money on the road.

In 2021, the last year Billboard made a list of music's top earners, seven out of the 10 top money makers earned more than half of their income from touring.

But the music industry didn't always function this way. Before the advent of streaming, musicians made most of their fortune selling CDs, cassette tapes, and vinyl records .

"Physical music sales made up the bulk of artists' revenue pre-streaming, and that revenue was what enabled artists to tour. These days, the equation has flipped," Tatiana Cirisano, a senior music-industry analyst at MIDiA, told BI over email.

Streaming made listening to recorded music much cheaper. For less than the price of one CD — or for free, illegally or with ads — people could get all the songs they wanted.

"The moment Napster hit, it changed the paradigm, and it really honestly diluted the value of music," Durant said.

To be sure, Swift is still making tens of millions, if not more, on streaming and record sales each year — more than almost any other artist on the planet.

Streaming services such as Spotify pay out artists on a pro-rata model: There's a pot, made up of subscription and ad revenue, paid out to artists each year. Those with the biggest share of the platform's total streams get the biggest piece of it.

But "if you're an individual artist, you have to have a pretty massive audience to be able to earn a meaningful share of that revenue — which is paid out to you after your label gets its cut," Cirisano said.

Last year, Swift was the most streamed artist on both Apple and Spotify. One of every 78 songs streamed in the US last year was a Swift song, according to the music-data firm Luminate. She'll probably rank at or near the top again, between " The Tortured Poets Department " and a streaming lift from the second leg of her Eras Tour.

Swift is also set to earn more than most artists from physical music sales. Last year, she was responsible for one out of every 15 vinyl records sold, according to Luminate. Cirisano said Swift's rabid followers saw physical records as "a symbol of fandom" and a way to support Swift.

That said, without Eras, Swift would just be a poor centimillionaire.
