KoRn announce huge summer 2024 UK shows in London, Scarborough and Halifax

The London date will be the biggest UK show of the band's career

KoRn have announced a trio of huge summer 2024 UK shows, including their biggest UK gig to date in London.

New music from KoRn will be arriving this year , according to guitarist Brian ‘Head’ Welch. The band’s last album, ‘Requiem’, came out in February 2022, and around the time of its release, Davis revealed they had already begun  working on its follow-up .

Head then shared more of an insight in his appearance on Joe Rogan’s The Joe Kingdom Perspective .

He didn’t go into particular detail about how the band’s 15th album might sound or how it might be released, but confirmed it would be happening nonetheless. “Yeah, new music coming out next year. I don’t know, we’re just kind of in hiding right now, just doing our own thing,” [via Loudwire ].

Korn are playing a huge outdoor show in London this summer, and they're bringing a stacked bill with them!

Korn 2021

Korn are returning to the UK this summer for their biggest ever headline show in this country - and they're bringing an absolute humdinger of a support bill with them. The nu metal legends will be topping a stacked lineup at Gunnersbury Park in London on Sunday August 11 - a gig which will mark their first UK show for over two years following their appearance at Download 2022.

Joining Korn on the day will be alternative hip hop trailblazer Denzel Curry, rising metalcore stars Spiritbox , genre-smashing nu-punks Wargasm and boundary pushing modern metal four-piece, Loathe .

"We couldn’t be more excited to be bringing an incredible line-up to Gunnersbury Park this summer," say Korn on their official social media channels. "We’ll be joined by Danzel Curry, Spiritbox, Wargasm and Loathe and for a historic night in London."

“We’re really excited to play a big show for our London fans in a different kind of setting," says Korn frontman Jonathan Davis. "It’s been 7 years since we last played London, so we’re ready to bring it to Gunnersbury Park."

Tickets for the show will go on sale this Friday, January 12, at 10am local time.

Wargasm and Loathe will support in Scarborough, and Loathe will also support in Halifax. The announcements mark the latest additions to Korn's upcoming European tour, which includes dates in Poland, Bulgaria, Greece and Germany. 2024 also marks a huge milestone for Korn's career, as it's the 30th anniversary of their game-changing, nu metal-defining debut album . Though the band performing the record in full for its twentieth anniversary a decade ago, don't expect a repeat celebration.

In 2022, Jonathan Davis explained that performing the album in its entirely was an emotionally turbulent experience for him, particularly when it came to performing the track Daddy , which deals with child abuse.

"I felt like I robbed the world of doing that live for so long," he told Metal Hammer . "I felt like I owed it to our fans that were hardcore enough to come and see us on the 20th anniversary of that album, but I don’t wanna do it again. Going out and touring that record, I realised how dark it is – it’s some depressing shit. As we got into  Follow The Leader , it became more about groove. The emotion was there, but it wasn’t that particular darkness we captured on that first record. In a few years, it’s the 30th anniversary and… I don’t think I wanna go through that again. It was difficult, and I think I was proving to myself that I could do it too."

Coming out of California, USA, Korn are one of the most influential bands of the past thirty years. Since forming in 1993, they effectively created the genre of Nu-Metal and are one of the biggest heavy metal bands in the world to this day.

The band was formed out of three members of the experimental thrash metal band L.A.P.D. When that band broke up the remaining members, or at least the ones still talking to each other, drafted in vocalist Jonathan Davis and guitarist Brian “Head” Welch and heavy metal history was made.

They instantly made a splash, legend has it that they even drew a crowd outside the studio they recorded their demo tapes in, since their music was so thrillingly different to anything being released at the time.

By 1994 they’d released their self titled debut album, which remains one of the most influential rock albums of the 1990’s and has sold 10 million copies in the years since. This is especially astounding considering that in terms of lyrical content and musical style, Korn were up their with Nirvana in terms of sheer darkness.

The music can get very difficult to listen to at points, with Davis bravely opening up about childhood traumas with unflinching honesty, all the while backed with Welch’s dissonant, wrenching guitar riffs. With that in mind, their astronomic sales and influence becomes a testament to their ability to connect with the lost and distraught more than anything else, and if that’s not a truly inspiring thing then I don’t know what is.

Korn might not be the most critically acclaimed band around but the figures and the fans speak for themselves, and no matter what Pitchfork might think, they speak louder than anything else in the world of rock and roll.

Live reviews

Korn: a full circle experience, crop or otherwise and on beyond! When I first saw Korn my husband suggested going to their concert back in 1998. Neither one of us knew much about them or their music at the time and what I knew did not make me feel stoked about going at the time other than to keep Steve company. I was certain I would be bored to death and how happy I am to say how wrong I was! I did a complete about face within the course of one night and now want to see them every time they come to our area. Up to now we have seen them about thirteen times all told as well as singer Jonathan Davis on his solo tour when I won our way in to it with a meet and greet! Davis knows how to work the crowd encouraging audience participation. Not only that, but I enjoy his soulfulness and expression and how his voice alternates between singing, whispering and shouting during different songs and moments. His bag piping intro to "Shoots and Ladders" is one part of any given concert of theirs I look forward to at the concerts. As we have been to their concerts on and off over the years, we have seen them in different forms with a couple members coming and going over the years, one of whom returned to the band within the last year. Before his departure after the first seven albums drummer David Silveria provided the band with his funky back beat and style. After he resigned from the band Davis whose main instrument was originally drums, contributed in that department along with tapping Terry Bozzio from new wave band Missing Persons for Korn's 2007 album "Untitled." While on the road Korn borrowed now-former Slipknot's Joey Jordison whose thrashy, cacophonous sound provided the perfect rhythm.

In 2008 Korn searched for a new permanent drummer during which former Army of Anyone's Ray Luzier auditioned and was subsequently hired after nailing multiple drum solos from their repertoire. With Korn's constant shape shifting of their brand of nu metal over the years, Ray with his highly versatile style was and is the perfect match for them. Bassist Reggie "Fieldy" Arvizu with his slap bass technique has said that he regards himself as a second percussionist within the band, thus complimenting Ray's drumming. Furthermore I get a kick out of how Fieldy sometimes seems to dance as he's playing, as if he were doing the cha-cha!

Prior to leaving in 2004 and later rejoining the band in 2013, Brian "Head" Welch was one half of the guitar section along with James "Munky" Shaffer. In 2004 Welch left the band to raise his daughter during which time he also became a Christian. Throughout those interim years Korn experimented with other styles and sub styles including dub step and Shaffer expertly played both guitar parts on recordings and the road, although Korn also used hired guns in both areas to play the second guitar part at times. When listening both in concert and to albums from different points in their career, though, one notices that the guitar passages are more nuanced with two in the lineup. Furthermore, diehard fans across the board welcomed Welch back with thunderous applause and loud cheers when I saw Korn last year. Through the years at every concert I have attended Korn have always delivered the goods whilst firing on all cylinders. In addition to amazing props and backdrops used show by show, they put slightly different spins on their performances whether they are in a smaller venue with a more intimate setting or a bigger arena where getting caught up in the hoopla becomes highly infectious! It is interesting to note as well that Davis does not tend to chat up the audience to a high degree; rather the band segue their way into songs one by one all but nonstop. And nothing could be better than a meet/greet opportunity with the band to make for a grand night out!

The first time I saw Korn was at Slipknot's Prepare for Hell Tour in January 2015. Unfortunately, I'd arrived late for the first band but made it in time just as they walked off stage and twenty minutes later, the Kings of nu-metal took over the stage. I'd been getting into Korn a few months before, and we honestly more excited to see them than Slipknot - and they didn't fail to disappoint, blaring out all their hits for 40 minutes. I remember wanting/needing to see them at a full concert and a few weeks later, I was giving the opportunity to see them again at Brixton. I snatched the tickets up and counted the days down until they day arrived.

And arrived it did.

We arrived an hour before the doors opened, and the que was already bending round the corner of the building. Finally, an hour and 10 minutes over the opening time later, we were allowed inside.

My friend and I were in the unreserved seating. As soon as we cleared through all the checkpoints, we made our way to the front, climbing over rows. Three rows from the front, we found our seat with a good birds eye view of the stage. We waited with anticipation through the first two starter bands, eager for the main event to start. Finally, and after a few teasers, Ray Luzier came on stage to start of the night with Blind. The crowd cheered, and adrenaline pumped through everyone's veins as Fiedly appeared on the bass. Finally, the three words growled out from Davis's mouth "Are you ready?" and the unforgettable night begun.

Korn blasted their way though their first debut album, released 20 years ago and tonight was all about celebrating the release of an album that changed the world. Every note was perfect, and Davis's voice boomed through the speakers and pierced through our souls. The album ended with the emotional 'Daddy' before Davis slammed the microphone down; walking off the stage. The lights dimmed and everyone cheered and clapped.

A minute later, the iconic microphone was brought on stage and the band reappeared to play us two hits (Falling Away From Me and Here To Stay) before ending the night out with Freak On A Leash.

Out of 10, I'd give this concert a 1,000. One of the best bands I've seen live to date, and it defiantly won't be my last.

I went to KoRn with my dad. I promised him every time KoRn plays in the Netherlands we would go.

So I was happy I found out they were playing in Utrecht. I go to school there so I knew it wasn't that far away.

This was my first time in TivoliVredenburg. I read some bad things about the service. So I was a bit worried.

The service was good! I've never been treated so good as a person in a wheelchair. They helped with everything!

So as we say in dutch: "petje af Tivoli!"

The band before KoRn wasn't that good. I actually hated it. There was a little moshpit, someone got hit, everything stopped.. boring..

Then KoRn started! It was a great opening, very intense..

They played some songs they didn't play for a long long time, like 4U. Of Course the bagpipe solo was amazing and Ray's solo as well!

The only thing I didn't like was seeing Jonathan Davis wearing an oxygen mask.. I don't know how he's feeling right now.. I Hope he's okay and is enjoying the rest of his tour!

KoRn thank you for the great show, this was really the best show I ever been to! (4th time)

My husband and I attended Korn's show, October11th in Tampa, Florida. They played for 2 electric hours and played songs they knew the fans would love to hear and they hit their mark. In the mix of their song set, they played 3 of their new songs from their upcoming album, The Serenity of Suffering due out October 21st and if that was a small taste of what's to come....our taste buds are sure to be satisfied for sure! This group has been together for over 20 years and they keep making amazing music. JD was clearly having as much fun on stage as we did as fans, dancing, interacting with the crowd and guitarist, Munky, Head and bass player Fieldy. Ray is a master on his massive drum set and I dare you to try and keep up with your eyes and his hands as he's pounding those skins. If your a true fan, you wait and hope to hear that first note of JD breathing air into his magical bagpipes, and as witnessed at last night show and shows of the past, it was no exception. Once you hear that first note from his pipes, there's only one thing you need to ask...Are You Ready!!!!

Seen Korn many times in the past. Thinking it's been 5+ times so far. I'm a big fan , no doubt, but each time the playing time has dwindled to 45 minutes and getting smaller. Granted they weren't headlining and Slipknot was, but still... The production and music was great, but its seems that ever since the old bass player came back they have been playing mostly songs off the first couple of albums. I definitely like those songs, don't get me wrong, but I think it would do them good to take some statistics from Spotify or the like and determine what the top 15 songs being listened to are. Also, I love loud music. Love it! BUT you will be deafened by this concert. For once I brought ear plugs and it saved me. Sounds stupid , but consider yourself warned. I mean the "Marshall stacks" and the speakers hanging on either side of the stage looked like arena side burns. Think they may be growing! ha!

Korn was Great as always ,I was kind of suprised that they place wasnt packed. The deadest Korn concert I have ever gone to.But it could be the Venue .Not the best venue in my opnion .One dont dare forget to get your ticket from your spouse or they wont let you back to your seat ..and 2 if you go out one way you wont be able to get back the same way necessarily like what happened to me.They wont let you. .Knotfest was packed and alot crazier then this place but I never got asked for my ticket to get back to my seat.Considering people were seat hoping all night anyways and they upgraded a bunch if not all the lawn area to seating ..Pretty damn dumb .I figure if I own a seat and someone sits in it.I just get it back .Pretty damn strict for a place that has never really been a popular venue and sure wasnt packed last night .

With their sound system and great instrumentation all locked into a great groove, Korn are better than they ever were before! As to any wild antics, the one that stood out that was unfortunately unfavourable entailed a nasty woman whom I called out after she attempted to shoehorn her way up to the front where I'd staked out a spot and then subsequently attacked my husband. Hiccups of that nature along with a moderate delay with no explanation nonetheless paid off, in particular with Jonathan Davis as he serenaded us on the bagpipes upon kicking off 'Shoots and Ladders'! Not only that but the pre-concert meet/greet was super as was a little recognition in the form of a point and smile from Munky Shaffer up front toward the end of the night!

Terrible show and a massive disappointment.

There were no warnings before entering the venue about use of strobe lights, and I didn't see any signs indicating use of strobe lights at all. As a result, I was caught off guard by the use of the strobes and felt sick for a couple of days afterwards.

The show itself used a lot of strong coloured lights to illuminate the stage too, which combined with the smoke machine, as someone who is colour blind meant that I could not see the stage for 80% of the show. The times I could, my eyes were hurting too much from the strobes to see anything.

So overall, it was a massive let down for a band I have wanted to see live for many years.

Korn is a teenage crush, and a trip to the good old years everytime I listen to them.

I saw them around 2005 in Portugal in a festival, and it was an amazing experience. Easily one of the heaviest concerts I've ever been, the mosh pit was insane if that's what you're looking for. The look of the band is great, with Jonathan's signature microphone, and with cages with dancer girls in, creating a really cool atmosphere.

Their music is as good live as it's on album, and their sound matured to be more eletronic and more new age, but for me this is still focused on getting back to the classics and listening to those really heavy songs they had, that made me in part who I am today.

Wow. What an amazing concert! The venue was decent (The Fillmore) but there is little seating available, so be aware.

As for Korn, it was the twentieth anniversary of their debut album and they played it in its entirety. There are some sound bites of out takes on the album that they included, as well. It was kinda cool because they replicated the album exactly as you hear it. After they went through that playlist, they did another 4 or 5 popular songs, so it wasn't just the album. You can search the set list online. Apparently it changes from concert to concert.

It was my second time to see Korn )first time as a headliner) and it was definitely worth it!

It’s been a great couple of months for metal fans; with Slipknot announcing their 25th anniversary tour, Download festival tickets going on sale, and now Californian rockers Korn are touring the UK, which includes their biggest show to date at London’s Gunnersbury Park.

Korn will be joined by American rapper Denzel Curry, Canadian heavy metal band Spiritbox, electronic duo Wargasm, and Liverpudlian band Loathe. Speaking about the upcoming tour, Korn frontman Jonathan Davis said: “We’re really excited to play a big show for our London fans in a different kind of setting. It’s been seven years since we last played London, so we’re ready to bring it to Gunnersbury Park with our incredible supporting artists: Denzel Curry, Spiritbox, Wargasm, and Loathe”.

Spiritbox shared the enthusiasm, saying: “We’re excited to be back in London, playing with some of our favourite artists. To come back to London in 2024 in such a massive way is a huge honour for us”.

The current Korn line-up includes, of course, Davis, as well as founding members James Shaffer on guitar, Reginald Arvizu on bass, and Brian Welch on guitar, plus Ray Luzier on the drums who replaced the band’s original drummer, David Silveria, in 2007.

Since their self-titled debut album was released in 1994, Korn has led the way for nu metal music. Following their commercial breakthrough with the album Life Is Peachy in 1996, Korn gained even more popularity after headlining Lollapalooza in 1997.

The band went on to gain mainstream success with the 1998 album, Follow the Leader, which produced two of Korn’s most famous singles Freak on a Leash and Got the Life. Did you know Freak on a Leash won a Grammy award for Best Music Video, and received a Grammy award nomination for Best Hard Rock Performance?

With 40 million records sold worldwide, multiple global tours, and two Grammy awards under their belt, Korn have more than justified their biggest show to date at London’s Gunnersbury Park — following in the footsteps of Limp Bizkit and Boygenius, who performed there last year.

As well as Gunnersbury Park, Korn will be visiting other UK cities in 2024. Here is the full list of UK tour dates and venues:

  • 8th Aug 2024 — Scarborough, Scarborough Open Air Theatre
  • 9th Aug 2024 — Halifax, The Piece Hall
  • 11th Aug 2024 — London, Gunnersbury Park

How much are Korn UK tickets?

At the time of writing, tickets for the Gunnersbury Park show start from £60 (£67.20 if you include the booking fee). It looks like pricing for the Halifax and Scarborough shows will be priced similarly, too.

Alt-metal pioneers  KORN  have announced they will return to the capital to perform for the first time in seven years, with their biggest UK headline show to date at  London’s Gunnersbury Park on   Sunday 11 August.

Joining them at the mammoth outdoor event are special guests  Denzel Curry, Spiritbox, Wargasm  and  Loathe . This is undeniably one of the best line-ups of the summer, and fans are encouraged to buy quickly to avoid disappointment.  Tickets go on general sale 10:00AM Friday 12 January  from  www.ticketmaster.co.uk .   KORN  has sold  40 million albums worldwide , collected  two GRAMMYS,  toured the world countless times, and set many records in the process that will likely never be surpassed. Vocalist  Jonathan Davis , guitarists  James “Munky” Shaffer  and  Brian “Head” Welch , and drummer  Ray Luzier , have continued to push the limits of the rock, alternative and metal genres, while remaining a pillar of influence for legions of fans and generations of artists around the globe.   KORN  changed the world with the release of their self-titled debut album, which along with the band’s formation, celebrates its 30th anniversary this year. It was a record that would pioneer a genre, while the band’s enduring success and growth points to a larger cultural moment.

Jonathan Davis:  “We’re really excited to play a big show for our London fans in a different kind of setting. It’s been 7 years since we last played London, so we’re ready to bring it to Gunnersbury Park with our incredible supporting artists: Denzel Curry, Spiritbox, Wargasm, and Loathe.”   Florida rapper  Denzel Curry  emerged as a trailblazer with his 2018 debut,  TA13OO , igniting a brash new wave in the scene. His latest acclaimed album,  Melt My Eyez, See Your Future , has seen Denzel has continue to garner a fervent fanbase with his versatility and reinvention of sound. Headlining at O2 London Brixton Academy and 2023’s Outbreak Festival marked a defining moment, solidifying his force in both rap and rock, embraced by both worlds.   Denzel Curry:  "Me & KORN about to slaughter sh*t when we get back in the UK. Be Ready."    Spiritbox  are one of the most impressive and hyped young bands of today. Fronted by the dynamic vocal powerhouse Courtney LaPlante, they’ve propelled the genre ahead with their forward-thinking, technical metal and recent collaborations with artists like Megan The Stallion have further catapulted them toward crossover stardom.   Spiritbox said:  "We’re excited to be back in London, playing with some of our favourite artists.  To come back to London in 2024 in such a massive way is a huge honour for us."    London-based duo  WARGASM , a rising force in the global rock scene, recently unleashed their anticipated debut album  Venom  to widespread acclaim .  Leading the new wave of genre-blending metal, they have dominated festival and arena stages. A recent headline at O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire underscores their unstoppable ascent.   Wargasm: “ Having the chance to finally be on a lineup with Korn after having received so much love and support from Munky and Jonathan in the past feels great. The day is going to be relentless and we’re very happy to be a part of it.”   Liverpool metalgaze outfit  Loathe , rose to prominence with their second album and instant scene classic  I Let It In and It Took Everything .  Their continued evolution on the acclaimed follow up  The Things They Believe  saw  them embark on extensive headline USA and UK runs, as well as standout sets at Download Festival and Outbreak.

KORN Announces Summer 2024 European Tour Dates

KORN has announced a short run of European tour dates for the summer of 2024. So far the following shows have been confirmed:

Jul. 22 - Athens, Greece - Ejekt Festival Jul. 25 - Plovidiv, Bulgaria - Hills Of Rock Festival Jul. 29 - Prater, Austria - Metastadt Open Air Jul. 30 - Katowice, Poland - Spodek Aug. 01 - Berlin, Germany - Zitadelle Spandau Aug. 14 - Munich, Germany - Zenith Aug. 15-17 - Sulingen, Germany - Reload Festival Aug. 18 - Charleville-Mezieres, France - Cabaret Vert Aug. 19 - Bonn, Germany - Kunst!rasen

This past September, KORN guitarist Brian "Head" Welch said that fans can expect to hear new music from the band next year. Brian — who rejoined KORN a decade ago, eight years after leaving the band and at the same time announcing that he kicked his addictions to drugs and alcohol by becoming a born-again Christian — went on to say that there will likely be "a celebration" of the 30th anniversary of KORN 's debut album in 2024.

Welch officially returned to KORN in 2013, one year after joining the band onstage at the Carolina Rebellion festival in Rockingham, North Carolina to perform "Blind" .

Both Welch and KORN bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu have had highly public, though separate, conversion experiences, ones that have been greeted with a certain amount of skepticism.

Fieldy announced in June 2021 that he would sit out KORN 's tour in order to "heal" after "falling back" on some of his "bad habits." He has since been replaced on the road by SUICIDAL TENDENCIES bassist Roberto "Ra" Díaz .

Released in February 2022, KORN 's latest album, "Requiem" , which was produced by Chris Collier and KORN , entered Billboard 's Hard Rock Albums chart at No. 1. The band sold 23,000 equivalent album units in the February 4-10, 2022 tracking week, according to Billboard . Of that sum, 20,000 units were from album sales. "Requiem" also landed at No. 2 on the Top Rock Albums and Top Alternative Albums charts. On the all-format Billboard 200, it arrived at No. 14.

Despite the fact that he hasn't performed with his KORN bandmates for nearly more than two years, Fieldy did play on "Requiem" .

Korn Announce 2024 North American Tour With Gojira + Spiritbox

After a day of teasing, Korn have revealed that they'll be hitting the road later this year with Gojira and Spiritbox .

Earlier this year, the band announced a stadium show in Los Angeles to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their self-titled debut album . But it appears that was just the beginning of their 2024 plans as the group issued a teaser on social media on Monday (March 25) that something else was on the horizon.

The short video featured a group of silhouetted figures standing on a mountain top watching an avalanche occurring on a neighboring mountain. The brief clip was soundtracked by dark and ominous sounding audio. Was it new music? More tour dates? Or something entirely different?

What Were Korn Teasing?

It's now official. Korn will be hitting the road in September with Gojira and Spiritbox. The tour will kick off Sept. 12 at MIDFLORIDA Credit Union Amphitheatre in Tampa, crossing the country before wrapping up in St. Paul, MN at Xcel Energy Center on Oct. 27.

Tickets will be available starting with a Citi presale (details below) and artist presale beginning Tuesday, March 26. Additional pre-sales will run throughout the week ahead of the general on sale beginning Friday, March 29 at 10AM local time at ticketmaster.com . You can also access ticketing through the band's website .

Citi is the official card of Korn’s 2024 Tour. Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets beginning Tuesday, March 26 at 12PM local time until Thursday, March 28 at 10PM local time through the Citi Entertainment program. For complete presale details visit www.citientertainment.com .

What Else Is On Korn's 2024 Schedule?

As previously stated, Korn have booked Los Angeles' BMO Stadium for Saturday, Oct. 5, with plans to celebrate the 30th anniversary of their self-titled debut album. This stadium show is a jam-packed day filled with sets from Evanescence, Gojira, Daron Malakian and Scars on Broadway, Spiritbox and Vended all playing before the headliners.

"Reflecting on 30 years of Korn fills me with such immense gratitude for our journey, the growth we've experienced, and the incredible bond we share with our fans," said singer Jonathan Davis . "It's humbling to see how our music has touched so many lives across the globe. From our small club beginnings to now headlining stadiums, it's been an unforgettable ride, and we owe it all to our amazing, undying, loyal community that's made it possible. I’m really looking forward to this incredible night to celebrate together."

Korn Sold Out a 30th Anniversary Concert, and Now They’re Hitting the Road

By Kory Grow

Arrre youuuu readyyyyy? ? … to celebrate Korn ‘s 30th anniversary? The pioneering nu-metal group already announced — and sold out — a commemorative concert in L.A. this October. Support for that show includes Evanescence, Gojira, System of a Down’s Daron Malakian with his Scars on Broadway side project, Spiritbox, and Vended.

But if you missed out on tickets — or you just couldn’t get the time off from your crusty, old boss who keeps asking you to work on your days off (but you’re sweet and obliging anyway) — you’ll still get to see Korn this year. The band isn’t specifically billing the trek as a 30th-anniversary tour since that’s just the one show, but it’s safe to assume they’ll acknowledge the milestone as they wind their way around North America. Plus, Gojira and Spiritbox are booked to open for them.

Incidentally, Korn don’t have a date scheduled on the actual 30th anniversary of their self-titled debut album, which ripped heavy music wide open in 1994 with its hip-hop beats, shoulder-breaking seven-string guitar riffs, and frontman Jonathan Davis’ throaty neuroses. Maybe they’re taking Oct. 11 off to celebrate.

The band acknowledged the anniversary of the album a decade ago in an in-depth oral history of Korn for Rolling Stone , recounting how they came up with the revolutionary subgenre nu-metal — paving the way for Limp Bizkit, System of a Down, and Mudvayne, among others.

“I guess people say we invented this nu-metal sound or whatever,” the band’s former drummer David Silveria said. “I never really thought of it like that. I just thought we were doing our thing. That’s just what came natural from all our influences as musicians. I never really thought, ‘Hey, we’ve invented this new kind of music, this is going to be huge.’ Thought never even crossed my mind.”

Korn announce 30th anniversary concert and tour to kick off in August

Mar. 31—Nu-metal pioneers Korn sold-out a 30th anniversary commemorative concert in Los Angeles scheduled for next August.

The band is also set to hit the road for a Europe/North America tour which has also reportedly sold-out tour.

The tour is expected to commence July 22 in Greece and finish Oct. 27 in Minnesota.

Korn will be making two stops in New Jersey at the Prudential Center in Newark on Sept. 23, and Freedom Mortgage Pavilion in Camden on Sept. 20, with special guest Gojira and Spiritbox.

Vivid Seats still has tickets available for many of the dates.

While additional tickets for the Los Angele concert may be difficult to come by, Vivid Seats is frequently an option for buying concert tickets.

The band also recently announced that they're hard at work on material for their 15th album. A follow-up to 2022′s "Requiem."

Korn Announces Massive 2024 North American Tour to Celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Their Iconic Debut Album

The nu metal band's self-titled, debut studio album turns 30 this October

Korn is hitting the road in celebration of a huge milestone.

On Tuesday, the legendary nu metal band announced that they're setting out on a massive North American tour in 2024 to coincide with their self-titled, debut studio album turning 30 on Oct. 11.

The group will be playing 25 dates at arenas and amphitheaters across the U.S. and Canada throughout the fall. They'll also be bringing along fellow metal stars on the road, including the Grammy-nominated French group Gojira and Canada's Spiritbox .

The "Freak on a Leash" band will kick off their live dates on Sept. 12 with a show in Tampa, Florida. They'll make stops in major cities like Toronto, Detroit, Chicago, Phoenix and Houston, before eventually wrapping up with a final show in St. Paul, Minnesota on Oct. 27.

The Grammy winners confirmed their string of shows several weeks after they announced a special, 30th anniversary show. At the time, the group — fronted by Jonathan Davis — revealed that they were playing a single concert at Los Angeles' BMO Stadium on Oct. 5.

Korn took to social media to tease the gig with a trailer featuring footage from some of their most iconic music videos dating back to the '90s to get fans excited and show how far they've come. They also revealed that the show would feature an A-list lineup of supporting talent, including Evanescence , Daron Malakian , Scars On Broadway , Vended , as well as their tourmates Gojira and Spiritbox.

"Celebrating 30 years of #KORN," the "Coming Undone" group wrote in the caption. "Join us at BMO Stadium in Los Angeles for this historic, once in a lifetime event."

Fans proceeded to sell out the L.A. anniversary show, shortly after it was announced.

Korn was originally formed in 1993 by Davis, 53, guitarists Brian "Head" Welch and James "Munky" Shaffer, bassist Reginald "Fieldy" Arvizu and drummer David Silveria — all of whom remain in the band's lineup today, save for Silveria, who was eventually replaced by Ray Luzier.

One year after their formation, the California-bred band released their debut studio album, which featured songs like "Blind" and "Need To" and helped to pioneer the nu metal genre. Although the rockers found more commercial success with their sophomore release, 1996's Life Is Peachy , their debut established them as sonic purveyors and inspired a handful of other acts who followed and exuded a similar heavy, hip-hop-inspired rock sound.

Live Nation

Korn last released a full-length LP with 2022's Requiem , their 14th studio effort. The project debuted at 14 on the Billboard 200 .

The "Falling Away from Me" band is hitting the road shortly after Welch, 53, founded  Atlantic Behavioral Health , a treatment center that provides intensive outpatient treatment in Massachusetts and New Hampshire.

In late 2023, the musician announced he was launching the facility — which addresses anxiety, depression, and various mental health disorders through individual and group therapy and medication management in an outpatient program — due to his own experiences dealing with depression.

Tickets for Korn's 2024 tour will kick off with a presale for Citi cardmembers, running now until Thursday at 10 p.m. local time. The artist presale also began today, which fans can gain access to on the band's website .

General ticket sales commence on Friday at 10 a.m. local time on ticketmaster.com .

Korn Ferry Tour

Georgia native Steven Fisk wins Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club

Daily Wrap Up

Change Text Size

SAVANNAH, Ga. – Steven Fisk is Georgia through and through. He was born in Atlanta and grew up on a par-3 course and driving range his father built (and still operates) in his childhood hometown of Stockbridge. He played college golf for Georgia Southern University in Statesboro, a little under 200 miles from home. He and his wife, Edith, wed last month in Augusta. And Sunday evening in Savannah, roughly an hour drive from Georgia Southern, the 26-year-old Fisk earned his first Korn Ferry Tour win.

Fisk birdied three of the final four holes of regulation and defeated Rob Oppenheim in a sudden-death playoff, capturing the 2024 Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club with a two-putt par on the Deer Creek Course’s par-5 18th hole.

“Such a long day that somehow went by really fast at the same time,” Fisk said. “To get my first win right here in Savannah, so close to where I went to school, is kind of crazy. I haven’t had much success here in the past, but to get it done today is extra special to be this close to what’s kind of my adopted home.”

Fisk began the final round one stroke off the lead but trailed Oppenheim by three strokes with four holes to play. Back-to-back birdies at the par-4 15th and 16th, followed by a clutch par save at the par-3 17th, opened the door for a tying birdie at No. 18. Fisk came within inches of a hole-out eagle from the greenside bunker, but tapped in for a bogey-free 4-under 68 and matched Oppenheim at 14-under 274.

Steven Fisk nearly holes bunker shot at Club Car Championship

For the fourth consecutive event, the winner would be determined via a playoff, tying the Korn Ferry Tour record for consecutive events with a playoff. The previous instances occurred in 2004 and 2019.

In the playoff, Fisk found the right side of the fairway, while Oppenheim drove it into a fairway bunker up the same side. Both had chip shots from behind the green, with Fisk’s rolling out to roughly 12 feet. After Fisk’s two-putt par, Oppenheim had a 7-footer for par which would have extended the playoff. It grazed the left edge of the cup but never fell, sealing the win for Fisk.

“Definitely could feel the crowd on my side,” said Fisk, whose gallery included his wife, parents, as well as his former head coach and several members of the Georgia Southern golf program. “I had a great group of people following me all week, and for them to come out and continue to support me is so special.”

Fisk’s victory in his home state was more than two decades in the making.

When Fisk was 4 or 5 years old, his father, Christopher, built Rum Creek Golf, a nine-hole par-3 course with a driving range and putting green. Even in its infancy, when there was more dirt than sod laid, young Fisk had a club in his hand. By the time he turned 8 years old, Christopher said his son’s hands looked as though they belonged to a bricklayer. As he grew up, Fisk played the par-3 course four or five, maybe even six times a day.

Fisk developed a strong iron game and a unique grip, with the latter eliciting a wide range of critiques through the years.

“If you ask anybody else, my grip probably sucks,” Fisk said. “But I’ve always done it this way. I’ve tried to tinker with it over the years with my coach. It’s just not something I’ve ever been able to get comfortable with. I figured if I’m going to have success in this game, I’m going to do it my way and be stubborn, and do everything I can to make myself the best player I can be and rely on some of my natural instincts.”

Steven Fisk holes lengthy putt for birdie at Club Car Championship

Unique grip and all, Fisk racked up nine career wins in four seasons at Georgia Southern, including six as a senior in the 2018-19 season. Fisk capped his collegiate career with a runner-up finish at the 2019 NCAA Championship and turned professional.

After an undistinguished 2021 season on the Forme Tour (a one-year substitute for PGA TOUR Canada amid the COVID-19 pandemic), Fisk earned Korn Ferry Tour membership and guaranteed starts with a T19 finish at Q-School. A year later, Fisk was right back at Final Stage of Q-School, as he finished No. 119 on the 2022 Korn Ferry Tour Points List with 13 missed cuts in 21 starts.

The second time around was much different for Fisk, who spent nearly the entire 2023 season inside the top 75 and finished No. 64 on the Korn Ferry Tour Points List, earning fully exempt status for the 2024 season.

The flexibility of fully exempt status was a blessing for Fisk, as the Korn Ferry Tour events in Argentina and Chile bumped up against his and Edith’s wedding plans. Without fear of reshuffles or a significant setback on the Points List, Fisk skipped the two events and hardly worried about the results.

Although the newlyweds were only able to vacation for a few days in Florida following the wedding, they discussed a proper honeymoon. Edith had her heart set on Cabo San Lucas.

“I told her we’d see how the year went,” Fisk said. “I think she’s looking pretty good right now.”

Final-Round Notes

  • At 14-under 274, Fisk (first, 14-under) totaled the highest 72-hole score by a champion of the Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club (previous: Dan McCarthy/272/2019).
  • Korn Ferry Tour winner Oppenheim (second, 14-under) records his third career runner-up finish on the Korn Ferry Tour (2017 Utah Championship presented by Zions Bank, 2017 DAP Championship); he also posts his first top-10 on Tour since May 2022 (T6/Visit Knoxville Open).
  • Pak, who finished No. 1 in the inaugural PGA TOUR University Class of 2021, entered the week with one career top-25 (T17/2022 LECOM Suncoast Classic).
  • Korn Ferry Tour winner Max McGreevy (T3, 12 under) records his third top-10 of the season (sixth/The Bahamas Great Exuma Classic at Sandals Emerald Bay; T8/Astara Golf Championship presented by Mastercard) and has not finished lower than T15 in his three starts at the Club Car Championship at The Landings Golf & Athletic Club (T15, 2020; second, 2021).
  • Kang, who earned guaranteed starts for the first eight events of the season as a Second Stage medalist from 2023 PGA TOUR Q-School presented by Korn Ferry, entered the week without a top-10 in his previous 12 career starts on the Korn Ferry Tour, with his career-high finish being T20, 2024 Astara Chile Classic presented by Scotiabank
  • Philip Knowles (T3, 12-under), who shared the 54-hole lead with Kevin Roy (T6, 11 under), posts his third career top-10 and his highest finish since a T2 at the 2022 Albertsons Boise Open, which earned him a PGA TOUR card in the 2022 Korn Ferry Tour Finals.
  • Open qualifier Mason Williams (T9, 10-under), who played five seasons at Georgia Southern University (2018-23) and entered the week with one previous start in a PGA TOUR-sanctioned event (2019 Military Tribute at The Greenbrier as sponsor exemption/MC), earns a spot in the LECOM Suncoast Classic with his top-25 finish this week
  • Sponsor exemption Dalton Ward (T25 , 8-under) earns an spot in the LECOM Suncoast Classic with his second top-25 in three starts this season (T3 as open qualifier at 117th Visa Argentina Open presented by Macro).

Tiger Woods, over par, aims to just make the cut at the Masters

Woods is not on the leaderboard, but as the second round started, he was among the top 50

AUGUSTA, Ga. (AP) — Tiger Woods is chasing more history at Augusta National, just not the variety he prefers.

Woods can set a Masters record  by making his 24th consecutive cut, a task made more challenging by having to play nearly as many holes Friday (23) as he had all year (24).

He was  among 27 players  who could not finish the weather-delayed first round. In the five holes Woods completed, he failed to birdie the par-5 15th and twice made bogey from the fairway. That give him a 1-over 73, the sixth straight round at Augusta National that he has failed to break par. He still was inside the projected cut when he started his second round.

The top the leaderboard didn’t change.

Bryson DeChambeau , who opened with a 7-under 65, has a one-shot lead over Scottie Scheffler. the world’s No. 1 player and the only one who played bogey-free in the first round.

when will korn tour uk

The large gallery following Woods at least saw some good golf. That came from Max Homa, who got within one shot of the lead when his approach to the 17th came inches away from going in for an eagle.

But his approach to the 18th leaked just enough to find the right bunker, and Homa failed to get up-and-down to save par. He finished with a 67 and was tied at 5 under with Masters rookie Nicolai Hojgaard of Denmark.

Homa said the restart didn’t quite have the same energy as the previous afternoon.

“I don’t think you can get the same vibe, but it helps playing with Tiger,” Homa said. “You’re very excited to wake up and go play.”

The first round ended with 26 players under par. The top 50 and ties make the cut, and Woods was inside that number when he made the quick turnaround and teed off for the second round.

DeChambeau and Scheffler played in the afternoon, facing troublesome gusts of wind, even if they weren’t quite as strong as Thursday.

Woods didn’t look quite as limber, likely a product of having 12 hours from the time he walked off the 13th green after play was suspended by darkness until he hit his tee shot to resume the round. And it was cooler than it was Thursday afternoon.

He came well short of the 14th green and chipped too strongly some 20 feet by the hole leading to bogey. On the par-5 15th, his wedge went over the green and he had to save par. And then he missed a 12-foot par putt on the 18th.

It could have worse — something Jordan Spieth and Dustin Johnson know firsthand.

Spieth’s hopes might have ended with one hole. He was still 2 over for the round playing the 15th when he went just over the green. Spieth chipped back toward the front pin and watched it roll all the way off the green, down the slope and into the water.

He had to go back across the pond, went long again and wound up with a quadruple-bogey 9. Spieth also missed a 2-foot par putt on the 17th hole and shot 79. In his previous 10 appearances, Spieth had never posted worse than a 76.

Johnson was 1 over coming to the scoring part of the back nine when he went the other direction. He missed a 6-foot birdie putt on the par-5 13th. He got stuck in the trees left of the 14th on his way to double bogey. And then he hit wedge into the pond on the 15th for another double bogey. That added to a 78.

British Open champion Brian Harman found water on the 13th (double bogey) and the par-3 16th (triple bogey) and shot 47 on the back nine for an 81.

The forecast is good for the rest of the week, and the Masters already was back on schedule with the second round starting on time even as players were finishing the first round.
