“Bait and Switch with Horrible Customer Service”

We booked a hotel room studio suite. The sales cart took us to the payment with no place to confirm the room type. When we paid, the confirmation was for a standard size room at the studio rate. When we called to correct, we were told that it was our fault for not confirming the room before payment. Therefore, we booked the standard room. We then asked to cancel the reservation and they hung up on us. Use at your own risk.

Basically this company need to be short down. It's an organized criminal syndicate stealing from people. First they have the worst customer service and secondly they just steal directly from customers. I called them severely to change my booking and all they could do it to tell me that the FLEX I bought could not be changed 72 hours prior to departure. The reality is they purposely delayed my request just to tell me when it's less than 72 hours they can't change it. I am requesting for their address to sue them and put them out and. End their criminal company.

Absolute worst customer service I've ever experienced. Wont refund my money. I had to do his job for him. We had free cancellation and yet that still won't give us our money back. I booked a couple of different hotels and every single place has successfully given me my refund except this stupid company. Furthermore, when I called in regards to my refund the Operator begins to raise his voice. Every time I call he says ‘I can't do anything to help'. I had to call the hotel myself and get them to write an email stating that they're willing to give us a full refund and even with their support this pathetic excuse of a company won't give us our money back the greedy pieces of $#*!. There is a reason why so many people have given them the worst reviews. Please beware. I now have to take things to fair trade to see if they can help retrieve my money.

Absolutely STAY AWAY! From this travel company! They do not answer their phone line, and they refused to assist in any way via email. They are impossible to contact, and Absolutely useless as a travel agency I needed to change my flight and they would not even look up possible new flights for me. They told me to look them up, and then they refused any of my suggestions. Then the airlines told me the date switch was free, and lol.travel wanted to charge me the full cost of another flight, even though it didn't cost them a cent! In the end it was cheaper for me to book an entirely new ticket through another agency, and trash my ticket with lol.travel DO NOT BOOK YOUR TICKETS THROUGH lol.travel! Worst company I have ever dealt with. If I could give them a lower rating, I would. STAY AWAY!

Don't buy tickets from them. They will charge extra money. Which is a scam. They charged me an extra AED 153 from the original price they show on their website, even though they have not confirmed with me or made approval for the payments, it is show something on the website and the bank deducts other amounts. Every other booking was simple with other third-party websites. All other websites show the amount they are going to charge you. But Lol.travel showed different prices and added extra. Without telling me. So be very careful, not a trustee website at all. Don't buy through them. I already tried to call them many times and emailed them and later on they answer my email with no appropriate answer.

I booked the Central Park West Hostel…

I booked the Central Park West Hostel just because of the very low price and was very surprised about some negative comments. Price/value relationship is excellent. Of course you should not expect luxury for $40!! I had everything I needed, the room was clean, my bathroom did not have a sink, but right next to my room I could use another bathroom. It suited perfectly to my needs. The staff were awesome and extremely helpful, the location with a few Metro lines around the corner, supermarkets very close, a few Restaurants, bus stops ver near. What else would you expect?

Avoid this site at all cost

We use kayak which is the main host for travel bargains hunting. We were directed to loltravel and bought 4 tickets to osaka. To our horror, the reference PNR is not able to check in. We have to make a trip to the airport to do a manual check in a day before the travel. The pnone number provided only get a computer response and always busy with no one available to answer any query thus wasted our overseas call. Wrote an email and worse, replied was in some funny language that we don’t understand. Our opinion is avoid this site at all costs

Avoid at all cost or it will cost you!! Was due to travel to Turkey on Sunday three weeks ago, flight was cancelled on Saturday due to adverse weather conditions. Contacted lol travel to change my tickets. They told me my new tickets had been emailed to me(still waiting for them to this day) and charged me 55€ for that "favour". Tried to contact them by phone and email, couldn't get through to anyone. Eventually heard back from them on Monday afternoon when my rebooked flight was on Monday morning. They're now saying I'm only eligible for a 25% refund, and they'd charge me another 55€ handling fee. Those people are crooks, clowns, not there to help their customers. Disgusting!!!!

What a brill 50th Birthday I had!

What a brill 50th Birthday I had! I went for my 50th birthday, great surprise in hotel with a bottle of champagne and a birthday card. Lovely big room, very clean, great food amazing view (sea). Also, very good Restaurants couple minutes walking. Quick check in, good and helpful receptionist. Fab time! Definitely we go back again! I rate ***** hotel, definitely I recommend for a very good holiday, I will return again. Love it!

Worst customer service ever.

Worst customer service ever. I purchased tickets to copenhagen and by mistake I mistyped one letter in my son's name . I promptly send an email and they refuse to help me to modify one letter . They keep stating that I need to contact KLM agency to correct the letter . therefore KLM agency said that we need to contact lol travel as they are the agents . Will not use your service again watch out do not trust them Of course was done with a charge of 55 euro disaster

We had booked a room in playa del…

We had booked a room in playa del carmen for march 1 2023 and when we arrived at the hotel, they said we had no bookings with them even though we had prepaid LOL and we had the reservation number and the hotel voucher but they had no information on us and would not honour the voucher so we had to leave and find a room 2:30 am when most hotels were closed. **Update** After speaking with an agent, we did receive a full refund for our accommodations. Due to this we have now given 3 stars.***

I booked a ticket from Singapore to Korea with LOL, it was suspicious as the website did not ask for a code pin when I made payment. Still decided to go thru with it (BIG MISTAKE)!! Error for the hotel location in website

The hotel selected was indicated in the website as near to Sestriere (we were going there); in real this hotel Italia is in Valle D’Aosta far more than two hours by car. Thanks for your reply below, but when I have tried to have support from your side, the answer was that they accept room’s reservation erasing but the whole amount paid is the penalty. It means that due your error I am going to lose all money spent (only 30 minutes before).

Charge failed to align with company name

Had quite a glitch with the booking. My principal card company rejected the charge, so I used a second credit card to make the reservation. The principal credit card issuer also blocked that account as potential fraud because the company name came up as Easy Market Spa of Italy. I recognized the charge and the time I was trying to place it but had to go online to learn that lol.travel is a part of Easy Market. All fixed now but it really screwed up my morning. Grrrrr.

flight cancellation due to Covid

I had a flight cancellation due to Covid and booked through Lol Travel. Emirates cancelled but Lol Travel offered a travel voucher instead of a refund. I've emailed numerous times over the last two years with an automated response with a ticket number, but that's it! The voucher expired last week and no assistance offered. I suspect that they had no intention of helping.

Very disappointed

Very disappointed! I tried to cancel a hotel reservation during the cancellation period by putting in the PNR#. That number never worked on their site after many tries. I informed them of what happened and requested a refund back in October 2022. Several months have gone by with no refund. Stay away! They're not worth the headache.

I am facing problems getting help from Customer Service to Reschedule

I am facing problems getting help from the customer service based in Italy (ref #1475687). Need to reschedule to 27th Jun 2023 same time after the airline rescheduled me. Just so you know I had to get my italian friend to reach out for me. I just need help to reschedule my flight. Terrible Experience - Avoid at All Costs

I recently had the misfortune of booking a flight with LOL.TRAVEL, and it has been the worst experience I’ve ever had with a travel company. The service is shoddy at best, and the level of incompetence is staggering. Firstly, during the checkout process, I noticed a significant increase in prices, a clear indication of their questionable business practices. It’s disappointing to see a company resorting to such tactics. To make matters worse, after paying a hefty sum, I find myself in a situation where I have been waiting for my tickets for days. The customer service is practically non-existent, and my numerous attempts to get a resolution have been met with empty promises and delays. If you are considering using LOL.TRAVEL, my advice is simple: don’t. Save yourself the frustration, time, and money. If you’ve already booked, I strongly recommend canceling your ticket and seeking a more reliable and legitimate travel agency. At this point, I have serious doubts about the legitimacy of this company. In summary, LOL.TRAVEL has proven to be nothing more than a waste of time and money. Warning,keep away!!!! Lol travel is completly useless for others than italian speaking people,proberly not them eather. Refund for lol travel initiated flight cancellation.

Booked a flight and credit card has been charged even though the flight wasn’t confirmed. Ending, lol travel cancelled out our flight and suggested another schedule however we didn’t accept the suggestion since it would require connecting flights from US airports and requires transit visa that we don’t have. Up until now, charged amount hasn’t been refunded so we can’t book for another flight even though it’s really urgent. I don’t know if the company cares about it’s customer but we’re still hoping to get a refund soon. Downside is that, the plane tickets gets an increasing value each day and we can’t do anything about it since the charged amount hasn’t been returned yet. I hope that you’ll be able to read this and take action since it’s really exhausting.

My ticket was issued after one day and lol.travel answered me trough email enough fast. Not recommend buy flexible ticket, because it cost about 105eur to change ticket.

Be careful! Lol can‘t afford to refund high amount orders!

I booked Hotels with full refundable rate. Unfortunately after the cancellation within the free cancelable time I still can’t get all my refunds back after almost two weeks. Only one booking with 100 Euro has been refund immediately. Two bookings over 15000 Euro have been blocked. After several emails back and forth, I got always the following answers „already done, please be patient and wait more days“ I will wait for some more days and then ask my credit card directly for „chargeback“. This is a really bad experience with lol.travel. And I want to share with you for not running into trouble with them again!

Their website doesn't work

Every time I tried to do my check-in (within the time period they mention) I got a 500 error message. Then I tried to download my proof of payment and then again I got the 500 error message. Whatever I was trying to do I was getting error messages. Then I proceeded to the airport to resolve this in person and they told me that if I can't do an online check-in then I have to pay more money. I explained and I demonstrated the issues with their website and they told me that the company is not responsible for malfunctions of the website!! What the heck!!!! are you kidding me?

I would like to share my negative experience with the travel agency lol.travel. It was my first time using their services, purchasing tickets with a flexible option and the ability to cancel. Of course, I had to pay extra for this flexibility. However, when the need arose to change the departure date, I was met with unexpected and unfair conditions. I was informed that I needed to pay an additional 55 euros for service fees to make the transfer, and the new ticket price suddenly doubled the original cost. Attempting to cancel the flight also ended in failure. At the time of my inquiry, I had three weeks until the supposed departure date, and despite timely attempts to resolve the issue, I faced refusal. The flight was not canceled, but I never received my money back for the tickets. I can confidently say that my experience with lol.travel left a sour taste. Their actions seem extremely dishonest, and I was left without my money and the ability to use the purchased services. I recommend being cautious when choosing this company, as their practices closely resemble fraudulent behavior.

warning take care do not trust this company I made a hotel reservation and paid full amount and after 2 weeks from booking and 10 days before check in they asked me to cancel my booking due to hotel overbooking or assign another hotel, for sure less category than the one I booked. They didn't leave me a choice but to cancel my booking they spoiled my vacation because it was a national holiday and time was very limited to find what I need. they even refused to compensate me for their mistake.

Misleading prices

The price you see probably won't be the price you can buy the flights at. I tried to buy a return ticket but whenever you click on the flight, the price changes and you get 'Ops.. The offer you selected is not yet available. We have selected other offers for you that you just cannot miss.' Or if you redo the search, the price suddenly goes up. I ended up buying ticket from a different company, at least they couldn't try to charge me more.

Quick and cheap price

Quick and cheap price. The booking process was fine but the hotel didn’t receive the booking from Lol Travel. I had to show the email and voucher, this took a while to checkin as a result. Nevertheless, will be using the website again for bookings again.

Flight time change by the airline - Lol.travel tries to charge unlawful fees

I received a flight time change by the airline, which made my connection flight impossible. Lol.travel contacted me offering to re-book my flights on a new connection. However, they keep trying to charge me fees for re-booking my flights, which is unlawful as the airline changed the flight times so an alternative needs to be provided to me free of charge. Issue is still not resolved. Very bad customer experience and unlawful business practices, not recommended at all.

No free cancelation

I called lol to cancel an hotel reservation but this was not free. There was a fee corresponding to the stay amount. It was more than 2 wees before the stay. Other sites (booking, hotels.com, trivago, ...) and the hotel itself would have accepted free cancelation. I won't recommend your site from now on nor re-engage myself with your site.

In your booking's details you can see that your reservation doesn't allow free cancellation and it is noticed the following condition (you can find it on Terms and Conditions of your reservation). Disgusting treatment from this company

Disgusting treatment from this company. Turns out they are based in Italy so don't have to abide by UK Laws. Quoted a price online, booked it, got the confirmation, got the hotel voucher. A week later I get an email to say the hotel is now £1000 more expensive and my options are to pay it or cancel. Was told my money would be refunded on the 27th. Still not arrived. And even on comment below stating, this was not their mistake.... You sent me a hotel voucher! How can you do that without actual confirmation?? And no offer to help or a discount towards another hotel! Absolute crooks! Hope you all enjoy being jobless soon

Caution! unreliable Booking website

I booked a hotel in Istanbul through lol.travel and fully payed it. However, after more than two weeks, the booking has not yet been confirmed by the hotel! I’ve been contacting lol.travel almost everyday to receive a bare-minimum update on the status. But the only thing I hear is “we’re working on the problem”. I kindly asked them to refund my payment so that I directly book the hotel, but they are not willing to support and would like us to wait forever. My flight is due in a few days and lol.travel is causing us extra stress as we do not have our accommodation confirmed. Absolutely unreliable Not recommended!!!

No room at the inn

We booked thought we booked a hotel through Lol in September for a wedding in February in Preston UK ( the priory). Just contacted the hotel with a week to go to be told they have no record of the booking as they dk not use Lol - we are now stuck with no rooms available and waiting for a refund. Good service and prompt refund

I made a booking for an eight night stay at at a hotel in Alanya, Turkey with lol.travel.The price was hundreds of pounds cheaper than their closest competitor. Due to my becoming unwell I had to cancel ahead of leaving England. I had a partial refund per the booking terms and had great support from the customer service department. I had also checked with the hotel that my booking was valid. I would happily book again with lol ....and, hopefully, be able to avail of said booking.

Follow up review

This is my second review of lol.travel, actually more of a follow up to my original review as I had booked the hotel but had not actually stayed there at the time of writing so didn't really know the outcome. I'm very pleased to say that if I could give lol.travel ten stars I would! The hotel is amazing and everything was booked and organised exactly as lol.travel promised, all at an amazing price - far, far cheaper than any other booking agent could offer. Don't buy with them

Their form in the website doesn't work. The telephone always says "all of our agents are busy" and then they hung up. Also, they will never give you back the money in case of illness.

Check your currency before purchasing!!!

Clicked a link to a promotion which took me to Lol.travel. When I was satisfied with the offer I moved to purchase the ticket. For some reason, and I'm not saying that it was lol.travel's mistake, but the currency changed to euro without any request or clear indication! Needless to say I spent money I didn't have... I immediately e-mailed and requested a cancelation and a refund. Explaining my situation in detail. They then replied asking me to explain the situation in detail.... which I did again. I then later received an email which stated that I should confirm my decision and that I have till 7pm Italian time to do so... This was at 11 pm Italian time. I was very emotional and frustrated by how they could feel justified by giving such a small window which they claimed was 24hours for such a weighted decision. After nagging they agreed to: "We inform you that cancellation of your ticket outbound + inbound, before departure*, is possible with a penalty of € 92.00 for every adult passenger (2) + € 55.00 for our management fees) I know to some people this isn't much but my country that's almost a months rent....

I booked a trip to Cairo (two transits) with this website. First flight, Air Canada, was delayed by 4 hours and the next flight would be missed. They tried to scam me by asking to pay 300 USD to give alternative flights. Air Canada did it all for me and gave a meal voucher on top.

Administration fees in the last step of booking appear!

I booked a plane ticket with them through scyscanner. They offered the best price. Second best price was 30€ costlier then lol.travel At the very last step of booking confirmation an additional administration fee of 60€ was revealed. So in the end I payed 30€ more then I would have if I chose the second best price which was with kiwi. I do not appreciate hidden fees on the last step when you already put in all your private information ect.

Avoid such blurry travel agents

Avoid such blurry travel agents. I booked through them. My travel schedule is adjusted 2 days before departure due to insufficient transfer time. While an acquaintance of ours was on the same flight to our final destination on a later flight, so with a short transfer time. Whether I want to transfer 55EURO, otherwise my booking will not be confirmed with the airline and I will therefore not fly! If you want to speak to someone, forget it, everything is done by email.

Scam on the rate used for booking ?

Total disaster

Very lousy service! After booking tickets in value of 2080 Euro I was expecting confirmation email. Never received, later it turned out it went into spam, but the content was - I shall pay by 300 Euro more! Without knowing I have the mail I tried to contact via their web page twice, via chat at least 3 times and tried to call on phone - no way to get a comprehensive answer. Just the same "you have in your email". After 9 days now I found out the tickets are not booked. Never again... such a stress. Good, at least the money was returned.

I ask because they seem to be so new that I can find no questions/reviews/comments on their service at all online. Booking a room for our chosen hotel in Mexico in 2018 works out at around £800 cheaper than anywhere else I can find so you will see the reason for my interest!

I booked directly on the page of lol.travel. it was a link on the page of tripadvisor to lol.travel, same as booking.com or agoda.

Booked with LOL travel. Paid in full and they issued a voucher. When I emailed the hotel directly, it turned out, LOL Travel did not book the room at all. Luckily I found out before getting there. So at first they just denied there was someting wrong. 4 emails were needed. It took weeks! I was (3 times) unable to contact them by phone. Time, money, frustration dealing with LOL travel.

So than they agreed they did not book the hotel. And they are not going to! First because they claimed there were no rooms aviable. That (again) was untrue. Now they only offer a far worse accomodation or return money.

I would never recommend doing any business with LOL travell. In my experience it is a scam.

I think it's always going to be better to book directly with the hotel if at all possible.

Well, I travelled with ETIHAD and ALITALIA through LOL.TRAVEL from KL to Madrid (via ABU DHABI AND ROME) and any problem at all. 150 € less than the normal price and everything just perfect.

AVOID AVOID AVOID, Joke dealer the website processed my booking incorrectly and they will not refund although the hotel concerned acknowledges that the error is LOL travels. Their customer service is precisely what their name is LOL shambolic and terrible. Do not use this provider. 5 days contacting them and not once have I been called back please do not use them.

Booked with LOL twice this year. Last time I was suprised with an additional € 40 which was only clear after creditcard payment. Until then I never saw that amount advertised anywhere on their site. After sending 4 emails for clarifying what this €40 was for, I never got an explanation from their curstomer support. Won't use this broker ever again.

Are Your Solar Eclipse Glasses Safe? Here’s How to Know If They're Real and OK to Use

The American Astronomical Society (AAS) is warning Solar Eclipse enthusiasts to be aware of counterfeit glasses.

A deluge of counterfeit and fake solar eclipse glasses have flooded the market, putting some unsuspecting space enthusiasts in danger just days ahead of the total solar eclipse.

The fake solar eclipse glasses, which have popped up across the United States, are no darker than ordinary sunglasses and unsafe for solar viewing, according to the American Astronomical Society (AAS).

“Solar filters are at least 1,000 times darker than even the darkest regular sunglasses,” Rick Fienberg, the project manager of the AAS Solar Eclipse Task Force, said in a statement. 

The warning comes just days before the total solar eclipse on April 8. The event, which has been dubbed the Great American Eclipse, is expected to cross the country from Texas all the way to Maine and is an especially big deal since the next total solar eclipse won't be visible from the contiguous U.S. until 2044, according to NASA .

Travelers are making their way to destinations within the path of totality in droves so it’s imperative to know what makes solar eclipse glasses safe since viewing the phenomenon with the naked eye can cause severe injury (even causing permanent blindness in some cases). A safe solar eclipse viewer blocks “all but a minuscule fraction of the Sun’s ultraviolet (UV), visible, and infrared (IR) light,” according to the AAS.

It’s not exactly easy to tell if the glasses are 100 percent safe right off the bat, according to the group, but thankfully it’s easier to tell if they’re not safe. In fact, there are three tests you can use starting with an indoor test in which you shouldn’t be able to see anything except maybe very bright lights, very faintly. 

The same goes for the second test: trying them outside on a sunny day. Then, only something as bright as the sun’s reflection off a shiny surface should be visible — and faintly at that.

A final test is to glance at the sun. If you see a “sharp-edged, round disk” that is “comfortably bright,” the glasses are probably safe, the group noted. Still, stare at the solar eclipse sparingly.

“Staring at a partial solar eclipse for more than a few seconds at a time, even through perfectly safe solar viewers, isn’t much fun anyway,” Fienberg said.

And to help eclipse enthusiasts ensure their glasses are safe, the AAS has put together a list of vendors selling safe solar viewers.

Tens of millions of Americans will watch as the moon passes between the sun and the Earth on April 8, completely blocking out daylight for minutes for those in the path of totality . The celestial show has launched a frenzy of paper glasses purchases and hotel reservations , and it serves as a perfect case-in-point for how scientists know the Earth, moon and sun move through space.

But it hasn't stopped some skeptics from continuing to believe the Earth is flat, a conspiracy theory experts say dangerously feeds into paranoia and spurs an unhealthy skepticism of all science and credible authorities.

The USA TODAY Fact-Check Team has debunked an array of flat Earth-related claims, including that Antarctica is really an ice wall around a flat Earth and the related conspiracy theory that space – and space travel – isn't real.

Based on my experience with lol travel, I came to know that you do not have ample amount of inforamtion about hotels, which you listed on your webpage, the hotels showed on your website absolutely different inforamtion about the accommodations then the reality, which not onl harm the image of your plateform, but the local people. I have had a terrible experience and would never ask lol.travels to book any hotel for my in future.

Extremely unreliable

Extremely unreliable. They sent us confirmation of reservation and took the money from our bank account. Then the next day they cancelled the flight and claimed refunding the money but nothing was refunded and didn't give us the transaction number by which they refunded the money. I hope the problem is resolved or else I would request from Skyscanner to stop collaborating with this agency!

Not trustable at all

Its has been 14 days for now and they didnt refund my money, the reservation was done th 6th of Feb, they reply that the airlines is not confirming and I have to pay 700 euros more to confirm, and told them not interested and to refund the money, and no money refund until now. I tried other sites booking, they just from beginning doesn't accept the booking on the same flight, and doesn't take your money and then don't refund it. This is not profissional at all, and they are not recommended at all. Be a ware of booking anything with them, they are not serious trustable.

Very poor experience

Very poor experience. This is an Italian company with no customer service support by phone. I called the helpline and just got a recording in Italian. We communicated by email and they provided no assistance.

The cheap flight is a bait!

This is how it goes with this website; you think you have a confirmed flight ticket but you don’t.. Read below what will happen after you confirmed your payment: Hello Maria We thank you for your patience. Within 24 hours we shall to verify your reservation. DON'T WORRY: we are waiting for the airline to confirm the flight you have chosen. As soon as we receive the confirmation, we will send you an email containing your issued ticket. Then this; Dear customer, We received your reservation attempt. We inform you that the airline didn't confirm the reservation. If you are still interested in the reservation, we can rebook the flights for you. Flights are available, at the moment, at the following fare: € 1388.24 Now charging me double the price. I can even find a cheaper flight from that price they give. A huge waste of time! I hope to get my money back without a fight.

Biggest mistake to book ticket with Lol travel

Booking ticket with lol travel is the biggest mistake I have ever done in my life! I had to extend my holiday and so my flight date. I contacted their customer service which might be the worst customer service in the world. After days, they replied me with charges that I need to pay to extend my ticket. I replied my confirmation. But maybe 1/2 days later, they replied me saying the charge has increased by almost €180. And so on and so on. Very very very very slow and poor customer service. I had to book another ticket for $1300 in this December month. Biggest mistake man biggest mistake! You guys are true to your name! Laugh out loud!

Scam Warning - Worst travels LOL. travel

This is the worst experience we had ever. It not even worth a single star. We booked 3 rooms for the company executives in Park Inn Gurgaon, 282 civil lines the booking details below. 1. 7th of Dec Registration No 20221220453062 2. 7th and 8th of Dec Registration No 20221220453035 When the executives went to check-in on 7th Of December, the hotel desk people told that there is no booking form such a website(LOL.travels). We have prepaid the full amount of Rs.4383.42 and 22283.82 for this booking. There is no way to contact this lol travels except email that to they never reply. As last hope we are suing them in consumer court. Don't fall for this fake travels.

I had a problem with a changed ticket and it was very hard to get them to reply and solve it. However, ultimately they did solve the problem and I got a new ticket and a due refund.

UNLAWFUL AND OFFENSIVE BUSINESS PRACTICES

In my 20+ years as a travel agent, I have never ever come across an agency which charges 55 Euros in order to "update the reservation" for a flight which has been cancelled at the expense of the customer (supposedly by the airline; TK 1056), except a short-lived attempt by some agencies during the pandemic. Such practice is unlawful among reputable agencies, not to mention presenting extremely bad customer service. Additionally, lol.travel is the only so-called travel agency in the world which provides absolutely no information as to their place of business, contact information, or any identifying data (my research shows that they are based in Rimini, Italy). There surely must be a reason why they are 1-star rated on several review sites. I intend to pursue this matter further, and contact my European partners and the EU supervisory agencies.

Dont buy ticket through lol.travel

Don't buy ticket from them. They will charge extra money showing European tax. Which is a scam. They charged me 245.00 euros for carrier imposed fee for Europe when my flight was direct from Canada to India. Every other booking was simple with other third party websites. All other websites show the amount they are going to charge you. but Lol.travel showed different price and added 245 euros extra. Without telling it to me. So be very careful. Don't buy through them.

This agency or this office, call it whatever you want, does not deserve even one star, so how can they give it more? Because when you book accommodation with them or through them in a hotel, they decorate this hotel for you and do not mention to you its disadvantages. For example, they do not tell you that this hotel is at night, and when you want to sleep, the hot water pipes start disconnecting. Or air heating devices, as if you hear the water of the swimming pool running over your head, and this only happens while you are sleeping during the best hours of sleep until the morning. As of writing these lines, I still hear water or air running through the air conditioning pipes above my head at 08.05am, and when you ask the officials in the hotel, you find The response is ready (this is a normal thing that happens sometimes to clean the air in the central heating ducts) and they do not care that you paid your money for this hotel to enjoy your vacation and not to sleep in the air conditioner and water pipes repair room. this is the worst hotel I have ever entered in my life. You book a double bed, they give you two single beds. They tell you there is cable satellite television. You find the television without satellite or cable, only two news channels for the same country. There's not enough hot water when you go to the shower before you finish your shower hot water cut you finish it with cold water, i don't know how this Coral hotel got 3 stars. After what I went through with them, they don't deserve more than a star. As the lol. travel agency which I booked this hotel with them, a quarter of a star is enough for it.

Worst company ever

Worst company ever. Have searched for flight from Melbourne to Bali return Business Class. It was clearly advertised as business. After making the purchase the airline company sent me an economy class. Have raised the dispute with Lol.travel and this is what they reply was: “Dear customer, we are not responsible in this case for the error made form the Kayak webpage, you paid for the ECONOMY CLASS, not for business. However we are not able to provide you the full refund, if you need an upgrade you can double check with the airline directly.” They Claim that Kayak have made the mistake but Lol.travel is the one who is taking the money and misleading customers. 0/10 not happy. Transaction have been frozen on my end with the Bank.

Worst agency ever- not worth it- worst customer service- you will waste your money if something does not go as scheduled

Worst agency ever, i usually book my trips through different operators such as edreams or booking.com and they both have work perfectly and have responded to me when i had a problem with my trip. lol.travel on the other hand didnt help at all, we had a long flight with 2 stop connections in between and our first flight was delayed 1h(connections where made in different airports and we didnt even noticed when booking the flights, and with different airlines because they would not clearly warn you about it), i have tried to call lol.travel customer service many many times and write to them to find possible solutions or to understand what happens when something like this happened. They would never answer the phone or respond emails. Finally they replayed my 5-6 emails 3h later just to say “ Dear customer please talk to the airline office to help you find new alternatives, thanks” and obviously when we asked the airline they would tell as to talk with our agency. To make the story short, now we filed a complain against lol.travel asking them to refund for all these inconveniences, and… no reply. Please make yourself a favor and do not book anything through this agency (or whatever they are)

I paid lol travel for my 14 year old daughter to fly to south Africa. I paid extra money to get premium service and also $100 for the airline to look after her. She ended up getting stuck in Kenya for 14 hours and lol did NOTHING to ensure she reached South Africa safely. She ended up having to sleep in Joberg as the flight did not get in till 1am and all connecting domestic flights had finished for the day. Luckily I was able to get a friend to come and collect her so she has somewhere to sleep whilst waiting for the new domestic flight the next day, as lol travel did nothing to help push the airline to revise connecting flight tickets, arrange food for her (as she had been travelling by then for over 24 hours, nor provide accommodation, or protection, even though I paid an extra $100 to look after her as she is a minor). The company likes to take your money but when you actually want them to provide the service which you paid for, they go quiet. I contacted lol a number of times yesterday, but they said they can do nothing to help even though I paid them extra money to help in the event of travel issues. Will never use this travel company again.

It was not great

It was not great. Lol travel charged me taxes after presenting me with a lower price on their site, so I feel that I was deceived about the real price they would charge. They advertised $381.67 and charged me an additional $108.96 for "sales tax". The legitimate VAT on hotel rooms in Spain is 10% so they effectively stole about $70 from me. ACTUALLY THE WHOLE $108.96 IS SHADY AS THEY NEVER SHOWED IT TO ME BEFORE MAKING THE CHARGE AGAINST MY CREDIT CARD.

    6 years ago. It is a scam site! It does the job, but not as it should! It show lowered prices and charges at least +20 EURs. I saw their offer in scyscanner radar for 150 EUR, it showed 160 on lol.travel website and on the last payment page it was still 160 EUR, but in my bank statement it showed as 170 EUR.

    lol.travel are scammers and it is a front for a scam company in Italy. I made a booking recently via Trivago, who I have used many times previously with no issue. The moment the payment processed, the fraud department of my bank contacted me to say that lol.travel was a scam company.

    Lol was the only booking agency that did not have the additional fees and, although they were more expensive than booking directly with the hotel for the the room, Lol had no additional resort fees indicated that would be payable. Directly booking would have been $5 more expensive per night including the resort fees.

    Booked with LOL travel. Paid in full and they issued a voucher. When I emailed the hotel directly, it turned out, LOL Travel did not book the room at all. Luckily I found out before getting there. So at first they just denied there was someting wrong. 4 emails were needed. It took weeks! I was (3 times) unable to contact them by phone.
