Disney’s Beach Club Resort Review
Beach Club is a Deluxe Resort at Walt Disney World in walking distance of EPCOT and Hollywood Studios, with Skyliner gondola and boat transportation to those parks. This hotel review features room photos, restaurant info, commentary on the amazing pool and much more. ( U pdated May 30, 2021 .)
As Walt Disney World’s phased reopening continues, Disney’s Beach Club Resort is now open as of Memorial Day weekend! This belated return comes after the Beach Club Villas reopened last June and Disney’s Yacht Club Resort reopened last August. There are now only a handful of hotels that remain closed–see Walt Disney World 2021 Resort Reopening Dates for more info.
The most noteworthy thing to know right now is that capacity at Stormalong Bay pool, aboard the Skyliner, and on buses is reduced due to physical distancing, which can lead to longer waits and lines. However, since Yacht Club and the Disney Vacation Club wing of Beach Club have been open for nearly a full year, there’s not much at the resort that remains temporarily closed. Most shopping, dining, and recreation are available–let’s start with a list of what’s open…
- Beaches & Cream Soda Shop
- Beach Club Marketplace
- Martha’s Vineyard
- Ale & Compass Restaurant
- Ale & Compass Lounge
- The Market at Ale & Compass
- Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar and Grill (bar only)
- Cape May Cafe
- Poolside Activities
- Pool Cabana Rentals
- Movies Under the Stars
- Fitness Center
- Seaside Retreat
- Sports Courts
- Fishing Excursions
Note: Although the fitness center is available, salon and spa services remain temporarily unavailable.
Regularly lumped together with its sister resort, the adjacent Yacht Club Resort (sometimes even referred to as “Disney’s Yacht & Beach Club Resort”), Beach Club is very different. Most obviously in that its exterior has a light blue color scheme as opposed to the gray of Yacht Club, but also in the more laid back theme. Beach Club is modeled after seaside resort cottages found in New England in the early 20th century, rather than a refined yachting club.
We feel that Disney’s Beach Club Resort is among the most well-rounded hotels at Walt Disney World, with a great location, strong table service dining, great theming, and top-notch amenities. It’s the resort we’d choose for our Walt Disney World vacations if money were no object. While it’s not without criticism, Beach Club fires on all cylinders to rank as one of our top Walt Disney World resort-hotels.
On the exterior, the Beach Club looks great. It was designed by Robert Stern, who also designed the Newport Bay Club in Disneyland Paris, which is strikingly similar to Beach Club. Apparently, Disney was quite satisfied with Stern’s take on seaside cottages.
That, or Michael Eisner was obsessed with his childhood summers in New England and directed the company to build a number of hotels in the late 1980s in this general style. Regardless, the airy Victorian look of the trim against the blue siding of the resort along with the touches of theming give the hotel an element of whimsy.
Both inside and outside, this contrasts nicely with the more stately design of the Yacht Club. While the two hotels are more or less the same, we’ve noticed that the Yacht Club is a tad stuffier (not to the point that it’s actually “stuffy,” it’s just closer to that point than the laid back Beach Club).
Inside Disney’s Beach Club Resort, the seaside motif continues, with paintings of New England and fixtures that evoke the beach feeling. The color scheme is generally cool, consisting primarily of light or pastel greens and blues.
The rooms also continue this theme, but here’s where we think the hotel stumbles a bit. Disney’s Beach Club Resort is attempting to execute an early 20th century theme, so in theory the rooms should always have a timeless feel of that era, but they don’t.
This was true of the old rooms, and it’s still true of the new ones. The problem with the old was that it was as if they’re an early 1990s take on the early 20th century. They felt like something you’d see on the Golden Girls, and most definitely weren’t timeless.
On the other hand, the new rooms are generic and bland it looked. These look like rooms you could find at some random Hilton anywhere in the country for about $400 per night less.
Granted, there’s a certain premium to be paid for the location advantage of a Walt Disney World hotel room, but part of that premium is that the rooms are different than “ordinary” hotel rooms. Or at least, they should be.
With Beach Club, one of the best-themed resorts in all of Walt Disney World, I expected more.
The rooms are devoid of warmth, theme, and charm: the style is totally plain and nondescript, there aren’t any whimsical touches, and the new look isn’t an extension of the resort’s overarching theme.
In fairness, this is a criticism we have for many of the rooms at Walt Disney World. It’s very difficult to balance a themed environment with a modern feel and amenities in the rooms themselves.
However, Disney has done a much better job striking this balance with more recent new room stylings at Riviera Resort, Saratoga Springs, and Polynesian Village Resort.
Let’s turn to dining. There are several excellent restaurants on-site in every category except standard counter service with Beaches & Cream , Cape May Cafe , and Yachtsman Steakhouse (technically at the Yacht Club), putting it right up there with the best of the Deluxes in terms of quality restaurants.
That’s the good news. The bad news is that the counter service options at Beach Club (and all around Crescent Lake) leave a lot to be desired. We’ve managed to have success recently with Beach Club Marketplace , but it’s still a far cry from the options in World Showcase at Epcot or other food courts around Walt Disney World.
Our pro tip: in lieu of the counter service at Beach Club, head to Crew’s Cup Lounge, where you can get a delicious burger for about the price of a counter service meal. Much better food at a comparable price!
Another good option at Yacht Club is Ale & Compass Restaurant or its adjacent lounge. This is a fairly unpopular restaurant, meaning it’s relatively easy to score a last minute Advance Dining Reservation. While it’s design is a bit on the dull side, the food is very good!
Speaking of Crescent Lake, it should be noted that there are three other hotels within an incredibly short walk. Disney’s Boardwalk Inn doesn’t share amenities with the Yacht & Beach Club Resorts, but it’s so close that the restaurants there might as well count as Beach Club restaurants, too. Same goes for the Swan & Dolphin, and arguably even for the World Showcase restaurants.
If table service dining is going to be a highlight of a trip, staying at one of the Crescent Lake resorts is the best option. There are numerous dining options all within walking distance–including a couple of Signature Restaurants.
Walking from Beach Club to Disney’s Hollywood Studios takes around 15 minutes–maybe a tad longer if your room is closer to Epcot. However, you also have the option of taking the Disney Skyliner. That will take about the same amount of time, but the aerial gondolas are a much more pleasant way of getting there!
This distance to Epcot is another major benefit to staying at the Beach Club, as it’s only a 10 minute walk to the International Gateway from the grounds of the Beach Club.
Boat service is also available to both Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, and generally takes just about the same amount of time as walking. It can be a little faster if you’re lucky, or a lot slower if there are long lines for the boats.
If you don’t mind walking, that’s by far your best option. For us, the ability to walk to both of these parks is huge. Disney bus transportation is unpredictable and often inefficient, so being able to avoid buses for two parks is a huge benefit.
The flipside is that bus transportation to Magic Kingdom and Animal Kingdom from Beach Club leaves something to be desired. There is always at least some sort of shared bus service operating, but exactly how many buses share the service depends upon the season.
We have had better bus service when staying at Pop Century for less than one-third the nightly rates of Beach Club. It’s disappointing that the Epcot-area Deluxe Resorts don’t offer better service in this regard than a Value Resort.
Of course, the main draw at Disney’s Beach Club Resort is Storm-Along Bay. I had salivated over this pool for some time before we finally stayed at the Beach Club, to the point that my expectations were probably impossibly high. It did not disappoint; in fact, it’s the #1 pool on my Top 10 Pools at Walt Disney World list.
For those unfamiliar with it, Storm-Along Bay is a sprawling pool complex 3 acres in size with sand at the bottom (for a while, I mistakenly thought “SAB,” the acronym used for Storm-Along Bay, stood for “Sand At Bottom”). Not only does it have sand at the bottom, but it also has a lazy river, an amazing water slide, great places for relaxing, and an excellent poolside bar.
Although it might seem like just a big pool with a dirty floor, in reality, it’s about the coolest thing ever. In fact, it’s so stellar that it cannot be adequately described without making up a new word. Storm-Along Bay is awesometubtacularnesszing!
Some people may tell you that some other pool at Walt Disney World is actually better, but unless that pool is called “Typhoon Lagoon” or “Blizzard Beach,” they are flat out wrong. Storm-Along Bay completely lives up to its hype, and is far and away the best hotel pool at Walt Disney World. It’s not even close.
One of our favorite splurges at Walt Disney World is doing a split stay (see our How to Do a Split Stay at Walt Disney World Hotels post) to take full advantage of Stormalong Bay and Club Level. Book a 1-night stay at Beach Club for the end of your trip and taking a late flight out on your last day. Alternatively, you could do that night in the middle of a three-resort trip, with a couple of relaxed resort days to decompress amidst your vacation. We describe the highlights of this strategy in our Stone Harbor Club Level Review .
Disney’s Beach Club Resort has many other amenities, including a health club, business center, babysitting, tennis courts, and other recreational facilities, but none of these measure up to Storm-Along Bay.
Overall, Beach Club scores highly for us because its theming perfectly conveys the relaxed feel of a seaside resort community, and this theming compliments a Walt Disney World vacation nicely. Like all of the Epcot-area resorts, Beach Club scores highly for its table service dining and convenience to Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This location makes it the perfect place to stay during Epcot’s many festivals.
The biggest downside to Beach Club is its high nightly cost. Anyone wanting richly themed environments at Walt Disney World might also be disappointed by the guest rooms. Then there’s counter service dining, which is so-so at best all around Crescent Lake. Finally, commuting to the two “Kingdom” parks is another downside; guests who will be spending a lot of time at Magic Kingdom and don’t care much about a resort’s pool might want to think twice about Beach Club. Those who enjoy poolside relaxation, nice dining, and Epcot will likely agree with us that Disney’s Beach Club Resort is one of the top hotels at Walt Disney World!

Are the different sections of the pool connected? Like can you go from one to the other while staying in the water or do have to get out of the water? Wondering due to some mobility issues. Thanks!
The Beach Club pool needs more umbrellas we had 4 small children and it was hot we had to leave because there was no shade. Many chairs saved because the whole time no one came to use them. There is some kind of sand with broken shells ground up in it you can’t walk around pool because it’s so sharp so wear your sandals to the ladders and all decks. We had asked for a room for five adults and one child they gave us room with a bed small pull out couch and a smaller pull out child size bed very tight squeezed in room we could get no help with changing it.
We LOVE the Beach Club and the Boardwalk for that matter because of being able to walk to both Studios and Epcot. In terms of theming we like Animal Kingdom the best but have a hard time getting ourselves to stay there due to transportation. AK feels more like an escape when we are not at the parks. We like to go to AK for dinner and hubby usually has to pull me away as I just want to stay and soak it up.
Stormalong bay might be the best pool at Disney but that isn’t saying much to us, unless you have young kids. Our favorite parke fo BC and B is that they have quiet pools. We go to the main pool for the slide but otherwise they are so crowded that they are not relaxing to us. I will say even when we had a 4 year old she LOVED the quiet pool at BC. It was hot when we were there and we would take late night swims after the parks, so quiet and relaxing.
I don’t know about the rooms (we have never stayed at the Yacht Club but our last stay we were walking through there and my Dad said Oh I guess the Yacht Club is the fancier place than the Beach Club. I said I don’t know about that.
After the room changes, I think the Beach Club rooms are more conventional, and thus “stuffier” than the rooms in the Yacht Club.
Nitpicking aside, I’m glad to see the full Yacht Club and Beach Club complex open!
Thebobly problem we found with the pool is because it was so popular, there wee a lot of kids and…we had to get out of the pool twice for poo incidents.
Is it true that Beach Club removed the jetted tubs during the last refurb? One of the reasons we chose AKL as our home resort was for the tubs in the 1 br villas. We’ve been sad to see that Disney seems to slowly removing those from DVC rooms (allthough I think at least some have replaced water jet tubs with air jet tubs, which are less powerful but WAY easier to clean and keep sanitary).
Tom, I totally agree!! Beach club definitely has the best pool on all of Disney property. I got married at wilderness lodge 23 years ago and that was alway our family’s favorite hotel… until we stayed at the beach club. The location and pool can’t be beat!

Disney’s Beach Club Resort is inspired by the grand beachside hotels of the late 19th century and features a New England-style theme with nautical touches. The cream, light blue, and white color palette are reminiscent of coastal homes and evokes a sense of tranquility. In 2002, the Disney Vacation Club (DVC) wing was added to the hotel to accommodate Disney Vacation Club members with larger suites and kitchenettes.
Walking into the DVC building (which is set just off of the main lobby area) is so gorgeous and you’re immediately hit with the soft scents of aloe and clover. Basically, if you could bottle up nautical, fresh, summer air, it would be this.
I was given room number 122, immediately off the hub area of the DVC building, which initially, I was wondering how loud it was going to be. But I won’t leave you in suspense. I heard not one sound during my two-night stay here. You would think with all the foot traffic going back and forth from other guests going to and from their rooms, I would hear something. Truly peaceful and quiet. It was amazing. Additionally, it was a short walk to dining and resort activities. Probably the perfect room with Disney’s Beach Club Villas
Now that you have a general idea of this fantastic deluxe resort hotel, let’s get on with the Deluxe Studio Villa tour!
When walking into my room, the kitchenette is located to your left. Pretty much the same setup as my stay at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge.
And to add a note, this is an actual mini-fridge, not a beverage cooler like I was given during my stay at All-Star Movies.
Your coffee maker is a standard 12-cup coffee maker that holds a basket filter. Make sure to bring some ground coffee and filters with you from home or order some from a grocery delivery company.
The sink area is separated by a door that leads into the toilet and shower area, which I totally appreciate. This makes for getting ready with other family members much quicker in the mornings when you’re rushing to get to the theme parks.
Want to know what I found in that closet that I didn’t find at others? A VACUUM! From what I understand, Disney is trying to get rid of vacuums and brooms from the rooms. Which I just can’t wrap my head around. Wouldn’t you think that would actually help Mousekeeping by trying to clean up the room yourself, rather than having to call them? Especially when you have small children who can leave crumbs everywhere.
If you want to see more, check out my Disney’s Beach Club Resort Room Tour video on my Youtube Channe l!
In the shower area, there was not a shampoo and body wash dispenser as they had at a few other Disney resorts I stayed in. Rather, I was given travel-sized H2O products which I’m totally okay with!
I loved the look and feel of the bed and couch area in my room at Disney’s Beach Club Resort! It was so fresh, clean, and open. The bed is a queen-size bed and the couch turns into a double sleeper sofa.
In my YouTube video oh my Disney’s Beach Club Room Tour, I show that there’s not much as far as storage goes. However, once I turned the camera off, I found one more hidden drawer that could be used as storage that I didn’t initially see!
This coffee table has a fairly large drawer to hold necessities, kids toys, and/or clothes in! This definitely helps out since the drawers on the dresser are small and shallow.
There was a typical amount of outlets and USB ports located in the room itself, but not as much as their should be given the amount of electronics that families travel with. I still think Disney’s All-Star Movies has the best set-up as far as outlets go . Due to the lack of outlets available, I would recommend bringing a power strip with you.
Want to see my “Must Have Travel Items” when I go to Disney World? Click this link to check out my 10 Favorite Amazon Items!
Hidden amongst the dresser and under the TV, is a twin sized Murphy bed. It was incredibly easy to pull down, but not much so that a child can do this himself. There are two buttons on either side, and only one needs to be pressed down to pull down the bed.
And this shows the only Disney touch in the room…a sleeping Donald Duck! How darling is this?
If you want to see how easily this bed comes down, check out my full Disney’s Beach Club Room Tou r on my YouTube channel!
This Deluxe Studio in this Disney resort hotel accommodates 5 guests.
My Deluxe Villa was located on the first floor, which gave me a garden view with a patio. One thing to note about the patios is that there are no privacy screens. You’re able to see everyone else’s patio area, and they can see yours. But hey, that’s a great way to make new Disney friends haha!
it’s truly a gorgeous patio though, and perfect to sip on your coffee in those early morning hours before the heat hits.
My Deluxe Studio was incredibly clean, the location cannot be beat, and I felt so relaxed and comfortable in my room. During this particular trip, it was only my husband and me, however, in our future trips to the Walt Disney World Resort , we hope to bring our 3 kids as they would absolutely love it.
If you’re a DVC member, please note that the Disney Beach Club fills up very quickly. I was lucky enough to snag two nights together only a few weeks out from my trip, but that is a very rare occurrence. One of my tips to getting a Deluxe Studio is by stalking the DVC website. But if you’re paying cash, you shouldn’t have a problem booking any hotel room at Disney’s Beach Club.
Want to see what else Disney’s Beach Club Resort has to offer? Keep on reading!
At Disney’s Beach Club Resort, you can find lots of fun and exciting dining options! One of the best things about staying at Disney’s Beach Club, is that it’s connected via an indoor hallway to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort. That means double the dining options, so I’ll include them here, since it’s only a few steps away from Disney’s Beach Club.
- Beach Club Marketplace – This is the best option for quick breakfasts, lunches, and dinners. They serve everything from the famous Mickey Waffles to Hot & Cold Sandwiches, to fabulous baked pastas. There is also their gift shop if you need to purchase souvenirs or provisions like sunscreen or medicine. They are open daily from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm.
- Martha’s Vineyard – The perfect spot for a quiet glass of wine when you get home from a busy day at the parks. There is a small appetizer to order from like Buffalo Wings, Clam Chowder, and a Cheese plate. They also offer a great selection of beers and specialty cocktails. You can also catch a game here on one of their flat screen tv’s. Martha’s Vineyard is open nightly from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
- Hurricane Hanna’s Waterside Bar – This poolside bar makes great drinks! My husband and I both ordered a Sunshine Margarita, which had Lunazul Reposado Tequila, Cointreau, and Sweet-and-Sour with Orange and Lime Juices. Our bartender really took her time with these and made them perfect! I’m not a fan of overly syrupy cocktails, but she was not heavy-handed on the sweet & sour, which I really appreciated. I do believe Hurricane Hanna’s is accessible to anyone walking along the outside of the Beach Club property, so if you don’t see a long line, make a pit stop here! They also offer a small selection of food like burgers, fries, and salads. Hurricane Hanna’s is open daily from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm.
- Beaches and Cream Soda Shop – Beaches & Cream is a popular restaurant spot where you can overload on delicious ice cream treats like shakes, sundaes, and their famous Kitchen Sink (serves 4). They also serve up delicious hamburgers, sandwiches, and tots. Reservations are recommended and they’re open daily from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm for lunch and dinner.
- Cape May Café – Cape May Cafe offers two different dining experiences. A Minnie’s Beach Bash Breakfast is $45 for adults and $29 for kids and serves Salted Caramel Beach Buns, Eggs, Bacon, Waffles, French Toast, and more. At dinner time, they offer a buffet with flavors from New England such as Seafood pasta, Traditional Steam Boil, Clam Chowder, and much more. The pricing is $46 for adults and $27 for kids. Reservations are recommended and is open daily for breakfast from 7:00 am to 11:30 am, and for dinner at 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm.
- The Market at Ale & Compass – This is your one-stop shop for everything from meals to shopping. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner is served here along with souvenirs and various provisions for your stay. They are open daily from 7:00 am to 11:00 pm.
- Ale & Compass Lounge – One of our favorite lounges on Disney World property is cozy and lively. They offer appetizers like flatbreads and burgers, along with an extensive menu of both mocktails and cocktails. Ale & Compass Lounge is open daily from 12:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
- Ale & Compass Restaurant – This coastal-inspired restaurant serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner and is the perfect place to begin or end your day at. Reservations are recommended and they are open daily from 7:00 am to 9:00 pm.
- Yachtsman Steakhouse – Yachtsman Steakhouse is a very popular dining establishment that serves delicious steaks like filet mignon, ribeyes, and prime rib. Don’t skip out on their sides like truffle macaroni and cheese, creamed spinach, and loaded baked potatoes. Reservations are highly recommended and their hours are nightly from 5:00 pm to 9:30 pm.
- Crew’s Cup Lounge – Attached to Yachstman Steakhouse is Crew’s Cup Lounge, a warm and homey lounge that offers great local beer and yummy appetizers like Lobster Bisque and Steakhouse Wedge Salad. They’re open nightly from 4:00 pm to 11:00 pm.
Another great reason for staying at Disney’s Beach Club Resort , is the resort’s location. It’s within easy walking distance of Epcot and Disney’s Hollywood Studios . It takes less than 5 minutes until you run into Epcot’s International Gateway (the entrance at the back of Epcot) and about 15 minutes of walking to get to Hollywood Studios. This makes for very easy access to these theme parks with no waiting for busses after a long day.
Disney’s Beach Club Resort also offers a water taxi service to their guests, which is a quick walk away once you’re outside the lobby area. While you can use this service to Epcot’s International Gateway and save you a few minutes of walking, its more convenient use is for Disney’s Hollywood Studios. You can board the water taxi at the dock near the resort and enjoy a leisurely ride to Hollywood Studios.
Wanting to go to Disney’s Magic Kingdom, Disney’s Animal Kingdom, or Disney Springs? Head out to the bus stop area, located across from the canal right between the Beach Club Resort and the Convention Center. Bus service begins 45 minutes prior to theme park opening and ends one hour after theme park closing. Travel times may vary from theme park to theme park but this is generally how long it takes to get to each theme park from Disney’s Beach Club Resort:
- From Disney’s Beach Club to Magic Kingdom – 20 to 25 minutes.
- From Disney’s Beach Club to Animal Kingdom – 10 to 15 minutes.
- From Disney’s Beach Club to Disney Springs – 10 minutes.
Additionally, you can also find the Disney Skyliner Station which can take you to other resorts and Disney’s Hollywood Studios, if you don’t want to walk. The Gondola Station is found at Epcot’s International Gateway. I go into more detail about the Skyliner on my Disney’s Riviera Resort Tour.
Stormalong Bay – This is the best pool on Disney property and pretty much everyone can agree on that haha! There is a massive water slide, 3 hot tubs, and the best part is that the pools are sand-bottomed. Did I also mention there’s also a lazy river? It pretty much contends with the official Disney water parks! You can also rent cabanas here if you so choose. While I don’t have great pictures of the pool, I did take a little video of the pool area.
I will warn you, because this pool is so popular, chairs go fast and it gets really busy fairly early. Also, because everyone wants to visit Stormalong Bay , Cast Members will scan your MagicBand or My Disney Experience App to make sure that you are in fact a guest of the Beach Club or Yacht Club. No other outside guests staying on Disney property are allowed in, which makes it that much more exclusive.
Leisure Pools – Want relaxing pool time away from the crowds at Stormalong Bay? Disney Yacht & Beach Club offer 3 leisure pools: Admiral Pool , Tidal Pool , and Dunes Cove Pool . Guests staying at both Beach Club and Yacht Club have access to all of these pools along with the hot tubs.
Ship Shape Health Club – Trying to stay in shape with all the amazing food and drinks Disney has to offer? Check out the fitness center, which is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week at no additional cost. They have ellipticals, treadmills, and strength-training equipment.
Volleyball & Tennis Courts – Want to be active in a different way? Check out the tennis courts and volleyball courts! Using these courts are no additional charge and is included with your stay. Head to the Ship Shape Health Club to check out the tennis and volleyball equipment.
Laundry facilities are available for a small fee (about $3.00 per load of laundry). Washers and dryers are located near the Tidal Pool.
While there is no official business center located at the Beach Club resort, you can go see a cast member at the front desk if you need to print anything out. They are very helpful!
There are several room categories you can book to fit your family’s needs. Here’s a quick breakdown of rooms that you can book at Disney’s Beach Club Resort:
- Deluxe Studio – Shown in my above review, accommodates up to 5 guests, with a queen size bed, double-size sleeper sofa, and pull-down bed. It can be up to 412 square feet.
- One-Bedroom Villa : The One-Bedroom Villas provide more space and privacy, making them great for larger families. It includes a master bedroom with a king bed, a living room with a queen-size sleeper sofa, a full kitchen, a dining area, a washer and dryer, and one or two private bathrooms. This villa can be up to 856 square feet.
- Two-Bedroom Lock-Off Villas : This room type is a combination of a Deluxe Studio and a One-Bedroom Villa together. It consists of a connecting door between a Deluxe Studio and a One-Bedroom Villa, providing additional privacy and flexibility for larger groups. This room accommodates up to 9 guests.
- Two-Bedroom Villas – This villa type consists of 1 king-size bed, 2 queen beds, and 1 queen-size sleeper sofa. This room type can be up to 1,083 to 1,193 square feet. This villa can accommodate up to 9 guests, but no additional linens will be given.
There are several view categories that you can choose from at Disney’s Beach Club:
- Standard View – These views can range from the parking lot to garden views.
- Pool View – Overlooks Stormalong Bay
- Garden View – Overlooks the beautiful and lush landscaped gardens.
- Water View – These offer views of Crescent Lake or Stormalong Bay.

Yes! Disney’s Boardwalk is only a few minutes walk away from Disney’s Beach Club, which gives you even more access to dining, activities, and night life entertainment.
Epcot would be the closest theme park to Disney’s Beach Club at only about a 5 minute walk away.
Refurbishing of Disney’s Beach Club Resort began in January 2023 and is set to be completed by the fall of 2023.
The pool hours at Disney’s Beach Club are subject to change, but currently it is 10:00 am to 10:00 pm daily.

The Beach Club Villas cannot be beat in terms of location, but we could hear people going in and out of their rooms from our bed.

We prefer the Beach Club Villas. At least they are in the same location for easy access from EPCOT at the end of the evening without using Disney transportation.

The Beach Club Villas update was well done. Very nice looking rooms, stylish baths, and plenty of accessible outlets. Including 16 USB ports in a 2-BR villa.

We learned from you about renting DVC points. What a money saver! I plan to always book our trip this way so that we can afford to stay in deluxe villas.

We’ve mapped and taken photographs of the views from every single room on Walt Disney World property! Our Room Finder helps you find the perfect room for you and then request that room from Disney.
The Villas share dining with the Beach Club Resort. You'll find plenty of variety a short walk away at either EPCOT or the EPCOT-area resorts.
Beaches & Cream Soda Shop Beaches & Cream exists mainly to give guests an excuse to eat all the things they’re not supposed to. But hey, it’s vacation—indulge! Seating is scarce during peak hours.
Cape May Cafe Entrées include a seafood boil with shrimp, clams, and mahi mahi, and there’s a “turf platter” with steak and chicken, but none of it is memorable. Better dining options include Ale & Compass at Yacht Club and Trattoria al Forno at BoardWalk Inn.
The Solarium - Afternoon Tea
Beach Club Marketplace Sharing space with the gift shop at the Beach Club, the Marketplace is not the most inviting quick service. The good news is that the food is decent and there is seating available elsewhere nearby that is much more pleasant.
Beaches & Cream To Go The take-out area of the popular Beaches & Cream.
Hurricane Hanna's Waterside Bar and Grill The pool complex at the Yacht and Beach Club Resorts, Stormalong Bay, is widely cited as the best pool at Walt Disney World. Thankfully Stormalong Bay’s pool bar is at a level appropriate of the pool. Hurricane Hanna’s is a New England beach-style structure that fits in with both the Beach and Yacht Club themes. One of the best things about this bar is the wide range of seating options available. There are several chairs under cover at the bar, a handful of umbrella topped tables nearby, many lounge chairs near the pool and above the bar on a large platform, and equally as many chairs across the promenade on the beach. You can get just about any view you want while sipping your drink here.
Martha's Vineyard Lounge
Yacht & Beach Club Private Dining
Refillable Mugs Allows guest self-service soft drink refills from quick-service locations in hotels ( NOT in theme parks ) for $21.99 for the length of stay.
SWIPE TO EXPLORE
Beach Club has Disney World's best pool - Stormalong Bay with a lazy river, fabulous water slide, and acres of water fun. Three other pools are available across Beach Club and Yacht Club resorts, for use by both Beach and Yacht Club guests.
Lafferty Place Arcade arcade is near Stormalong Bay between the Yacht and Beach resorts. It features relatively recent video games of all kinds.
Free Disney Movies Under the Stars are shown most evenings, weather-permitting, either at the Beach Club Beach, or in the Solarium.
The Ship Shape Fitness Center has weights, treadmills, and other equipment for your workout. Hours are typically 6 AM to 9 PM. Joggers will enjoy the 0.8-mile loop around Crescent Lake too.
The Beach Club Beach hosts marshmallow roasts around 5:30 PM nightly. It's really great during the cooler months of the year.
Disney resort guests get into each theme park 30 minutes earlier than off-site guests, every day.
Those staying at Disney's Deluxe and Deluxe Villa hotels can buy Lightning Lane via Individual Purchase at 7:00 a.m. each day. Others cannot make that purchase until the official park opening time.
Disney's Deluxe and DVC resort guests get two extra hours in select theme parks on certain days of the week. The schedule changes, so check with the front desk.
Complete Guide to Beach Club Resort (w/ review)
Disney’s Beach Club Resort is 1 of 8 Deluxe Resort hotels (not including Deluxe Villas) at Walt Disney World.
The New England-style resort is a favorite for many reasons, including that Disney’s Beach Club Villas are on the same property and guests also have access to Disney’s Yacht Club Resort , which guests can simply walk to right next door.
As a Deluxe Resort at Disney World, Beach Club is more expensive and includes different amenities compared to Value and Moderate Resorts.
Here’s everything you need to know about Beach Club.

Preview a Deluxe Studio at Disney’s Beach Club Villas
The deluxe studio at Disney’s Beach Club Villas is a great room option when you’re looking for a few extras that aren’t provided in a standard room.
We’ll preview a deluxe studio at Beach Club Villas in this article. Additionally, we’ll take a detailed look at the studio and go over the amenities it offers.
For reference, Disney’s Beach Club Villas make up a separate Disney Vacation Club portion of the resort. Rooms at a Disney Vacation Club are available for members to rent based on a point’s ownership. Or regular guests can rent these rooms from Disney based on availability.
Deluxe studios are a bit of an upgrade over a standard room at a regular resort. Additionally, here are a few differences between a standard room and a deluxe studio.
For instance, deluxe studios have extra amenities like a small kitchenette with a microwave and mini-refrigerator. And the sleeping arrangements are usually a little different from a standard room.
This article was updated on February 11, 2022.
Below is a photo of our room from a recent stay at a deluxe studio at the Beach Club Villas. My friend Kristen, the owner of Firefly Travels, invited me to come along with her team for a few days at the Beach Club.
Since we planned to spend a good deal of time at Epcot and Hollywood Studios, the Beach Club was an ideal choice. Both theme parks are within walking distance of the hotel.
Not only that, but the Beach Club has the best pool in all of Disney World ! The resort’s pool area, Stormalong Bay, is massive. So if you enjoy swimming, you’ll want to spend some time here.

Anyway, the deluxe studio at Beach Club sleeps up to five guests. Below you’ll notice a table with chairs underneath the television area. The table folds down when it’s not in use.
After folding the table, a trundle bed for one guest pulls out. This style of trundle bed is designed for children under the age of twelve.
I should have taken a photo of the trundle bed in a sleeping position. However, we had a cabana reserved at the pool, and I was in a hurry to enjoy it. So, unfortunately, I forgot the photo.

In the past few years, many of the deluxe villas at Disney World have been remodeled. But unfortunately, the Beach Club’s deluxe studios have not received the updates yet that we’ve seen at some other resorts.
Beach Club’s deluxe studio has one queen size bed and an additional queen size sleeper sofa.
In front of the sofa, a coffee table has a large pull-out drawer offering extra storage.
On this trip, I volunteered to sleep on the sofa bed. Unfortunately, it wasn’t comfortable.
However, I feel like the experience was good to have, and it reiterates my feelings about this kind of sleeper sofa. And that is, you don’t want to have to sleep on one for long.
My advice is if you have someone that has to sleep on a sofa for more than two to three days, don’t reserve one of these rooms. It’s not worth it.
Before I started blogging, my son spent a good nine nights on a sleeper sofa at the Beach Club. He never complained, but he was sore toward the end of the trip, and his neck was hurting.
At the time, he was around 11-12 years old. Over the years, I’ve been careful not to forget the experience and made sure he never had to sleep on a sofa bed again on an extended vacation.
So every time I run across a room with this setup, I try to mention it. Because you may think, oh, my children will be fine on a sofa bed, not realizing the discomfort one might cause.
Now, don’t get me wrong, I love to stay here at the Beach Club Villas. It’s just that the sleeper sofa is something you’ll want to consider if someone in your group will have to use it.
Thankfully, most newer resorts and refurbishments have beds that pull down out of the wall in place of a sofa sleeper. Those beds have real mattresses that provide a stable sleeping surface.
You can preview a few of them in these reviews if you like:

- Deluxe Studio at Saratoga Springs
For many, the most significant amenity of a deluxe studio is the kitchenette area. There is a full-size coffee maker, microwave, and sink. In addition, the mini-fridge is more significant in size than the ones you would find in a standard room.
The microwave and sink are both bonuses, especially for extended stays when you might like to prepare some meals in your room.
You can do oatmeal in the morning for breakfast. And we’ve microwaved hot dogs and Kraft mac-and-cheese more times than I can count over the years.
Some villas resorts have larger bathrooms like the villas at the Grand Floridian. Those guests have one room with a walk-in shower and a separate room with a tub and shower combination.
Related: Grand Floridian Villas Review
However, that is not the case with the deluxe studio at Beach Club. The vanity area is precisely the same as what you would find in a standard room at the resort.
The bath area consists of a tub with a shower combination.
Standard Disney H2O products are available, along with plenty of extra towels. Note they do not have the built-in toiletries here like they do at some other resorts.
You can reserve a deluxe studio through a travel agent or directly through Disney. When you opt for this method, you’ll receive daily housekeeping. However, services are limited during this time, no matter where you stay.
Those who rent points through the Disney Vacation Club will receive a small refresh with trash and towel service on the fourth day. And you’ll receive full service on the 8th day if you’re staying that length of time.
As far as the room goes, there is a closet with the usual items like an iron with ironing board, in-room safe, vacuum cleaner, and extra blankets with pillows.
Lastly, I wanted to mention that all of the deluxe studios at the Beach Club Villas have a standard balcony. Our room was on the ground floor and looked out to a grassy area.
Balconies are great to have, even if you only use them to apply sunscreen. However, this is not the case in the standard rooms at Beach Club. Some standard rooms have tiny Juliette balconies that barely allow enough room to step outside the door.
Related: Disney’s Beach Club Review
For the deluxe studio, I might request a higher floor if you would like a little more privacy.
Overall, the deluxe studio is an excellent option for a variety of guests. And I’ve said it a million times. You can’t beat the location or the pool at Disney’s Beach Club.

Padraig Harrington overcomes double bogey with birdies on final 2 holes at windy Newport Beach
- Copy Link copied
NEWPORT BEACH, Calif. (AP) — Padraig Harrington won the Hoag Classic on Sunday at windy Newport Beach Country Club for his seventh PGA Tour Champions victory, rebounding from a double bogey with birdies on the final two holes.
After driving left into trouble and dropping two strokes on the par-4 16th, Harrington made a downhill 15-footer on the par-3 17th and got an 8-footer to fall on the par-5 18th for a one-stroke victory over Thongchai Jaidee.
Harrington closed with a 2-under 69 to finish at 14-under 199. The 52-year-old Irishman will be inducted into the World Golf Hall of Fame in June. He won British Open in 2007 and 2008 and the PGA Championship in 2008.
Jaidee, from Thailand, also had a 69, parring the 18th after leaving his approach short and pitching through the green.
Miguel Angel Jimenez, the Spaniard playing alongside Harrington and Jaidee in the final group, bogeyed the 17th in a 68 that left him two strokes back.
Stephen Ames was fourth at 11 under after a 67. Jerry Kelly (67) and K.J. Choi (68) were 10 under, and Steve Stricker (70) was another stroke back.

Fun facts from our Moscow Metro Tours:
From the very first days of its existence, the Moscow Metro was the object of civil defense, used as a bomb shelter, and designed as a defense for a possible attack on the Soviet Union.
At a depth of 50 to 120 meters lies the second, the coded system of Metro-2 of Moscow subway, which is equipped with everything you need, from food storage to the nuclear button.
According to some sources, the total length of Metro-2 reaches over 150 kilometers.
The Museum was opened on Sportivnaya metro station on November 6, 1967. It features the most interesting models of trains and stations.
Coffee Ring
The first scheme of Moscow Metro looked like a bunch of separate lines. Listen to a myth about Joseph Stalin and the main brown line of Moscow Metro.
Zodiac Metro
According to some astrologers, each of the 12 stops of the Moscow Ring Line corresponds to a particular sign of the zodiac and divides the city into astrological sector.
Astrologers believe that being in a particular zadiac sector of Moscow for a long time, you attract certain energy and events into your life.
Paleontological finds
Red marble walls of some of the Metro stations hide in themselves petrified inhabitants of ancient seas. Try and find some!

Golf | Thongchai Jaidee grabs first-round lead at Hoag Classic
The former asian tour star uses pinpoint iron play to flirt with a possible 59 before settling for a 9-under-par 62 that was good enough for a one-shot lead over padraig harrington at newport beach country club.
NEWPORT BEACH — Casual golf fans might not be familiar with his name or his game, but a case could be made that Thailand’s Thongchai Jaidee is the Tiger Woods of the Asian Tour.
Tiger is the PGA Tour’s all-time leading money winner with nearly $121 million in prize money and 82 titles in tour-sanctioned events. Jaidee, 54, is the Singapore-based Asian Tour’s leading money winner with $5.4 million in career earnings and 13 victories on that tour.
Apples and oranges, certainly, but that distinction might make Jaidee the best professional golfer you’ve never heard of. Now playing on PGA Tour Champions, Jaidee has a chance to make a name for himself over the weekend in the Hoag Classic at Newport Beach Country Club if he maintains his impeccable ball-striking.
Playing in the tournament’s second group before the galleries swelled to watch the marquee names in the field, Jaidee fired a 9-under-par 62 in Friday’s opening round that was good enough for a one-shot lead over World Golf Hall of Famer Padraig Harrington (8-under 63) and Paul Broadhurst (63). Top rounds by local pros were a 3-under 68 by Paul Goydos of Coto de Caza (T15) and a 2-under 69 by Fred Couples of Corona del Mar (T28).
Jaidee tied his career-low round on PGA Tour Champions on the strength of his pinpoint iron play, hitting all 18 greens in regulation and flirting with a possible 59 until a 3-putt lip-out bogey on No. 16 and a 3-putt par on No. 18 also prevented him from matching the tournament and course record of 60 shared by Tom Purtzer, Nick Price and Duffy Waldorf.
“That’s OK, I’m not upset,” a smiling Jaidee said after his memorable round. “It’s pretty good to be 9-under par today.”
Jaidee’s career day requires another asterisk; he said he’s playing with an aching back because of compressed vertebrae that have periodically bothered him since 2008 and now necessitate twice-daily physical therapy sessions.
What makes his story even more interesting is that Jaidee, who grew up playing soccer in Thailand, didn’t take up golf until 16 and didn’t turn pro until age 30 – after a four-year stint in the Royal Thai Army as a paratrooper in special forces.
How can you feel pressure trying to make birdie putts when you’ve jumped out of planes at night strapped with heavy weaponry during war-time training?
“The golf is completely different than jumping out of a plane,” Jaidee said. “The golf is not dangerous; the paratrooper (duty) is dangerous. … The (war) training is very hard, but it’s good for me … to make me mentally ready. That’s why golf is so easy (by comparison); I don’t care about anything.
“But if you’re training hard (in the military) and you get back to playing golf, it’s so easy because our training is so hard.”
Jaidee made it look easy on Friday, playing the first four holes in 4-under par (birdie on No. 1, eagle on No. 3, birdie on No. 4) and closing out the front nine with three consecutive birdies to make the turn at 7-under 28. On the back nine, he birdied Nos. 12, 14 and 15 to get to 10-under with three holes to play.
Was he thinking about 59?
Conceding that two of the final three holes are “not very difficult,” Jaidee knew it was possible. But he 3-putted from 25 feet on the par-4 16th – his 4-foot par putt went all the way around the edge of the cup before jumping out for his only bogey of the day – and he missed a birdie putt from a similar length on the par-3 17th.
Even so, he went to the reachable par-5 18th knowing he could finish at 10-under with a birdie or tie the course record with an eagle.
After his worst tee shot of the day wound up 40 yards left of the fairway in the rough on the adjacent 10th hole, he followed up with his best approach shot of the day, hooking a 3-wood from 245 yards around the grandstand and watching it scoot up onto the front of the green. But his 55-foot eagle attempt raced six feet past, and he missed the birdie attempt to settle for a disappointing par.
With rainy and windy weather in the forecast on Saturday, Jaidee said he just wants to keep playing well.
“Hopefully, we keep performing like this,” said Jaidee, a two-time winner on PGA Tour Champions. “You never know.”
