A little dated and front desk staff not all that helpful.

Not much to dislike really, the rooms that have been refurbished are not as good a quality as the old rooms, the doors are really basic compared to the old solid wooden doors. They are trying to update which is great but the quality is important given the grand nature of the hotel

Very little , to be honest, I enjoyed my stay and would book her again, readily.

Booking in was quick and efficient. The young lady on reception was definitely most competent when explaining about keys, entry and exit procedures, and this made me feel very secure as a lone female.

Room was a bit dated (like 90s decor) but very clean and everything worked Breakfast wasnt the best quality but we where the last in so the food had been likely cooked a while.

Room was very clean and had a lovely view of the hills around llandudno and the sea even though it was at the back of the property. Staff very friendly and attentive. Reception area had been renovated and was very nice

Breakfast on the second morning ran out of cereals and hash browns. No evening food supplied to had to venture out to town. This was fine for us but others may have struggled.

There was quite a trek from te lift to our room, involving up and down stairs. In fairness on booking we did not ask for easier access.

Nothing to dislike.

This is a dated Hotel obviously going through renovations, but its welcoming, comfortable and clean. Our room at the back was quiet, beds were comfortable and the bathroom was spacious, with plenty of hot water. Parking was a bonus. Plenty of nice seating areas around the bar and overlooking the sea. Breakfast was good and served at the table. Very near shops, restaurants and the theatre. Its staff on reception, dining room and bar are a credit to this hotel. We only stayed one night, but it was great, thank you.

Lack of parking spaces so had to park on the road 200 meters away. No cover/shelter for smokers and no evening entertainment.

Proximity to everything I wanted to do and close to the town centre. It was full of old people and it could do either a bit of modernisation but on the whole no complaints.

We had no problems at all, car parking is of course first come first served so although we had no issues.

The seafront location is excellent, the hotel is in good repair with a comfortable bar. Breakfast is also good and the staff are all customer focussed, overall the hotel is excellent value and I would recommend.

Very much a regimented stay, more school dormitory than a relaxing chilled experience. Fine for a night out in Llandudno, but not what I'd be looking for for a longer higher quality experience. Too expensive for what you get, £20 more can get a massive jump up in accommodation elsewhere - which is what I'd do next time.

Well organised, everyone knew what they were doing, a slick operation compared to so many others. Clean, good shower with instant hot water. Fine for a night. Breakfast OK.

Could have done with double glazing as the noise from people leaving the complex centre nearby kept us awake and the early morning cleaning, which is very good to see, but it can be disturbing.

Great resort loved Llandudno, hydo hotel good,staff,rooms good very clean,but bedroom was really cold 🥶 but in August can't expect heating ..lovely holiday.downside was miserable driver Martin with commercial coaches. (No alfa bus) Insisted on having aircon on when it was cold wet and miserable. Didn't do trip because bus was cold..but apart from him fantastic holiday

• Sleep Quality

The Hydro Hotel, Llandudno The Hydro is of typical coach holiday standard, the building is probably from the Victorian era and located on the promenade convenient for all attractions. In general the hotel was well decorated with good carpets and furniture. The restaurant was large with high ceilings but the dining tables for two were very small especially when the condiment/tea tray was added. We had no complaints about the food quality, it was all table service due to Covid restriction. Portion sizes were small if you were hungry. Our bedroom had all the modern requirements e.g. en-suite, tea/coffee, tv, hairdryer etc., the hotel has free Wi-Fi throughout with good reception in the bedroom. The bathroom had been newly replaced and tastefully tiled. There was plenty hot water with good water pressure. There was no maid service to the rooms due to Covid restrictions, you could change towels by bagging the dirty linen and leaving it outside of your room ready to be exchanged, the same applied to the emptying of waste bins. The evening entertainment is held on the lower floor in what they call the Ballroom, the quality of artist varied significantly from quite good to awful and you get the obligatory Bingo every night, this lasts from about 9-30pm until about 10pm. Entertainment and bar services stopped at 11pm. Bar prices were reasonable and about what I’d expect for a hotel. One problem that may affect the light sleeper are the Seagulls, from very early in the morning they start squawking very loudly, if you sleep with windows open this could be a problem. If visiting Llandudno I would use this hotel again.

Really clean & friendly..staff great..old skool style seaside hotel. Breakfast was hot and tasty and good service from staff..the hotel is right on the promenade and a short safe walk to shops and pier.

Upon arriving at the Hotel the reception area was very efficient and we received our room key promptly. The room was large and airy and had a sea front view and was supplied with plenty of towels, even 2 beds. Bathroom was good albeit the shower cubicle was small, I am 5'10" and found it had to turn around. Minor complaint. Getting to the room was not straight forward as once you left the lift you had to negotiate a small flight of stairs, if you attempted to walk from the lobby it was 5 flights of stairs. The restaurant was quite large but we ha no complaints with the service provided. The bar was small but there was plenty of room to sit and enjoy a drink. The ballroom had a strange damp smell, where the entertainment was held. Possible from water damage but unsure. If you are a smoker they do provide 2 tables outside the front of the Hotel facing the sea, adequate. Overall the Hotel was very good and i would not hesitate to stay there again.

Just got back after 6 nights,lovely room sea view ,food was ok,breakfast a bit sparse bacon tasted boiled so I had egg and beans ,there must have been all of 10 beans lol diviner’s was quite nice and tasty,Friday was fish and chips well the fish was like a pole covered in batter couldn’t cut it was horrendous,ask the waitress to take it away she said would you like another i said no thank you,she found this amusing don’t know why, and wasn’t offered anything else ..... but apart from that it was nice ,albeit very small portions ,we went out for chips most nights .
