Rôtisserie LEDOUX des Halles de Tours : l'incontournable !!!

Nous nous rendons régulièrement aux halles de Tours le samedi matin, jour de marché, mais principalement pour les produits d'exception de cette rôtisserie. La "Gambette" et "L'échine de porc" rôties sont de très bonne qualité, fondantes et goûteuses. On n'en trouve que là !!! Par exemple, l'échine de porc est marinée à l'avance et cuite à la rôtissoire 4 à 5 heures. C'est du boulot pour le patron, mais ça vaut le coup !!! On en raffole ...

Toutes les saveurs sont au rendez vous dans ce temple de la " bonne bouffe " francaise !!! Des huitres aux desserts tout est present ( memes les vins ) Evidemment les prix sont un peu chers , mais la qualite est la ...

J'adore passer par ce lieu où différents artisans proposent des produits de qualité et qui sont délicieusement appétissant. J'adore...

En visite sur tours nous cherchions des produits régionaux , nous avons pus déguster des macarons spécialité de tours nous nous sommes régalées . Les Halles proposent une grande varité de produit frais et de qualité , ouverte toute la journée elle est à faire .

J'avais un souvenir des Halles de Tours il y a quelques années . Franchement c'est mieux que dans mes souvenirs Je conseille aux touristes de prendre le temps de s’arrêter et de visiter les Halles de Tours . Ça sent bon le terroir , les produits régionaux ( Charcuterie , Fromages ... ) En plus il y a un parking juste en dessous ; C'est magnifique et on a envie de tout acheter . Les halles sont a 5 mms à pied de la Place Plumereau ( le cœur de la vieille ville )

Quel plaisir de se promener dans Les Halles. La qualité des produits n'est plus à démontrer. Les prix sont un peu élevés mais la qualité se paye. Je recommande vivement les fromagers et les pots de rillettes de Tours.

“Tour d’Argent's little sister” Review of La Rotisserie d'Argent

We used to come here when it was the Rôtisserie Beaujolais and always enjoyed eating there. Then it became the sister restaurant to the upmarket Tour d’Argent. As it was August and Paris is much quieter than usual, we managed to get a table for lunch without notice. The staff were very accommodating and seated us in the window with a view over the Seine. We both ordered the 'Plat du jour' Magret de Canard and they were cooked exactly as requested and very tender. For dessert we choose the Café gourmand, which includes Tarte maison,Crème brulée, Mousse au chocolat, Glaces et Sorbets, Ile flottante & an espresso coffee, which gives a small taste of most of the dessert menu. Good value for such high quality food and service.

We live a few doors along from this restaurant. I had been avoiding it as it seemed over-priced but decided to go there for our 42nd wedding anniversary. The first thing I discovered was that it is the “Little Sister” of the Tour d’Argent on the next corner. The second was that the ‘over-priced’ meals I had seen were in fact dishes for two! The restaurant was relatively quiet, being mid-week and August when Parisians flee to the country or coast, and we were made to feel welcome and comfortable. The waiter volunteered to take a photo when he saw our feeble attempts at selfies and produced a memorable image for us. We ordered a starter between us as we did not anticipate being able to finish the meal. Far from being snobby about this, it came properly prepared and decorated on two plates. I think it may have been the most beautiful foie gras I have ever tasted. We both ordered duck breast as a main. This was delicious, with that rarity in Paris a bed of perfectly cooked vegetables. As good as it was, I ate half of my meat and my wife less than that. A box was produced and the leftovers did another three individual meals for us in the following days (and I was glad that the dog had gone back to England). So although the dishes were not cheap on the menu, they turned out to be terrific value and still tasted excellent in our apartment. On the principle that “if you haven’t eaten your dinner, you can’t have a pudding” (reference for Pink Floyd fans), we did not even look at the dessert menu. We may keep La Rôtisserie for special occasions, but I am sure we shall go back while we live in Paris, and probably invite guests.

Recommend by a friend and lived up to and exceeded expectations! The Escargot memorable, the chicken and mashed potato dreamy, the fruit tarte desert OMG!!

This place is around 5 minutes walk from Notre Dame and it has been recommended by a French friend. I am so happy we went there for dinner. The place itself is very French (as you would expect for rotisserie!) Our server is kind and attentive, and needless to say, the roast chicken (and creamy mashed potato!) is excellent.... just beyond words!

This sister restaurant of the famous Tour d'Argent is unpretentious and serves 'real' food that tastes like it was made at home, if the home is a great French family cook. No artifice, no gimmicks. Just great ingredients assembled fresh in the kitchen, and tasting delicious and comforting. The warm leek salad starter was out of this world; the veal cheeks were truly solidly good. The service was excellent. The seat at the window was lovely. The restaurant is quiet but not confiningly so. A good choice to go once on every visit to Paris.

The rôtisserie of la Tour d'Argent terrace

The venue: Calling all lovers of accessible luxury! If you have always dreamed of trying the legendary duck from La  Tour d'Argent , you will love La Rôtisserie, the "little brother" of the Michelin-starred restaurant that serves exceptional products in a more affordable version. The highlight? Its terrace that seems to float above the Seine as it is located right on the edge of the bridge facing Île Saint-Louis , with its red and white checkered tablecloths and its always picturesque retro atmosphere.

On the menu: The menu is proudly indulgent and not very vegetarian-friendly. For starters, you can enjoy  duck foie gras with red port and pear chutney (€32) or  Burgundy snails with pastis-infused parsley butter (€15 for 6 pieces). For the main course, options include  half-roasted farm chicken with poultry jus, roasted garlic, and mashed potatoes (€28),  beef fillet with béarnaise sauce , chimichurri, and matchstick potatoes (€47), or  duck leg with bay leaf, baby potatoes, and caramelized onions (€29). If you have room for dessert, the  chocolate mousse is magical (€10), as is the Bourbon vanilla cream (€12).

$5 Factory Tours at The Roasterie Coffee Company

For many, coffee is a magical drink needed for each day. The Roasterie, a local specialty roaster, offers fun and frugal tours to learn more about the farming, roasting and blending process of this magical drink.

The Roasterie Factory Tours

Tours are offered at The Roasterie Factory Café location at 1204 W 27th St, Kansas City, MO, daily at various times, depending upon the day.

During the week and Sundays, you can usually expect these to be at 10 a.m. and noon. On Saturdays, they open up more spots and often offer tours at 8 a.m., 10 a.m., noon, and 2 p.m. 

You must have a reservation for your tour. 

Cost is $5 per person. You can add a FREE ticket kids 10 by calling their customer service line at 816-268-4653. The FREE tickets and provided on an available basis. 

Tours last about one hour and take you through the company’s history, a behind-the-scenes look in the factory and a manual coffee brewing demonstration. FREE coffee samples are provided at the end.

All ages are allowed, and tours are wheelchair and stroller friendly. Plan to arrive 10 to 15 minutes in advance of your start time. Reserve your factory tour here . 

Don’t miss the merchandise. You’ll find a fun selection of mugs, t-shirts, posters, coffees and brewing gear.
