Symbols are a visual representation of the in-game civilization's language as well as its written form used by the in-game species. They are one of the key elements of the game's art style and design.

Alternative Names [ ]

  • Shinies, Shiny Things

Some players refer to symbols as glyphs; such use is discouraged on this Wiki to avoid confusion with Ancient Glyphs (visual elements that reveal parts of the story line, also commonly called "glyphs").

Basic information [ ]

Symbols appear everywhere in the game:

  • On the chest of the Wayfarer , and in their chirp
  • Collectible symbols and ancient glyphs to be found during the course of the game
  • Particles in the air and in the magic goo/mist (Tower and Paradise levels)
  • Small particles floating around the wayfarer when glowing with a companion or another cloth creature
  • Glowing on certain tombstones when the wayfarer approaches them
  • On your Scarf
  • Written on various pieces of architecture, glowing and otherwise

In some cases, for example on certain gravestones, symbols look worn off and barely recognizable (they still follow the familiar square pattern, but individual symbols cannot be picked out).

Some stones have clean square placeholders but no symbols on them; this is most prominent in the Tower around various shrines. Further details can be found in the Tombstone article.

Collectible symbols [ ]

Little brightly glowing symbols are hidden in various parts of the game. Those can be picked up by touching them or flying by close enough.

  • They will extend your scarf , therefore granting the ability to fly (first symbol) or extending the flying range.
  • Symbols with a shiny circle around them mean that you didn't find that symbol in previous journeys.
  • For every new Journey, you need to pick them up "again" to extend your scarf, if you want a long scarf.
  • There are guides on how to find all of them for the Trophies .
  • The locations of each symbol are also described here , and in each level-article (shown on each of the level maps).
  • Symbols you have collected will light up on a small display beneath the statue at the end of each level, as well as on a larger display in the chapter select area.
  • While the symbol is being collected, small glowing particles fly from it into the Wayfarer, recharging the scarf. This extends flying ability for a brief period of time (this feature is often exploited by speedrunners).

Primary and Secondary alphabets [ ]

There are several alphabets in the game, which can be found on buildings, scarves , cloth creatures , etc.

A subset of the full alphabet, dubbed the "primary" alphabet, is used only for players, graves, and the wardrobe , implying these symbols are names or proper nouns. Whereas the rest of the alphabet is seemingly random, these 21 symbols are designed with a good amount of symmetry, making their nametags easier to identify after the credits .

Other alphabets [ ]

In addition to the primary and secondary alphabets, a third alphabet appears on one ancient glyph in the graveyard , as well as a few other murals throughout the game.

This alphabet is completely different from the first two; its symbols are more random and complex and have no defined "quadrants". A similar alphabet appears in glowing runes on the level-end statues , though it is not known whether they are intended to be part of the same alphabet.

This ancient glyph features both the standard alphabet and a different, otherwise unknown alphabet.

Player symbols [ ]

Your symbol, seen on your chest and when you chirp , will be one of the Primary symbols.

  • The symbol you see yourself using will not be the same on other players' screens.
  • During a Journey, a Companion's Symbol normally stays the same, even if you lose each other and meet later again. Though there are exceptions, see Chirp .

Most of the primary symbols have nicknames assigned to them by the community.

These names can be descriptions of their appearance, names of well-known players who used them, or simply inside jokes. Some of these names are listed below.

Some of these symbols, namely "Bucktoothed skull," "Fishing Hooks," and "Inky, Pinky, Blinky and Clyde" are referred to by some as "red robe symbols" due to their simplicity, though any correlation between a player's symbol and robe is likely coincidence.

"Snowflake" or "Schneeflocke"

"Bucktoothed Skull"

"Collector's Item" - named for how it appears to be rare.

"Doppelganger" - named for how it appears twice at the collected symbols area in Chapter Select.

"New York, New York"

"belovedklowny" or "Klowny" - after the player Klowny

"Robot & Elf Feet"

"Scandinavia" or "Broken Symmetry"

"Stealth Fighters" or "Stealth Bombers"

"Morse Code"

"Morse Code 2"

"Monster Eyes"

"Unbroken Symmetry"

"Raised Fist"

"Fishing Hooks"

"Blinky, Pinky, Inky & Clyde" - after the Pac-Man Ghosts

"War Machines" or "Angel Wings"

"Speeding Thrones"

"Horned War Machine"

"The One That Got Away" - named for the fact that it doesn't seem to be in the game, despite being on the official playable symbols list

Glitches with symbols [ ]

Here is a video showing a glitch with the collectible symbol inside the Whale Room (Tower level):

About the symbol "alphabet" [ ]

  • The main alphabet in Journey features symbols assembled from 15 basic characters, each 3x3 pixels in size.
  • That's a whopping 13,845,841 possible symbols, though in practice only about 200 of these are found in the game's files.
  • If you would like to assemble your own symbols, a list of parts can be found here:

More trivia [ ]

  • The symbols were first named by Klowny. Including the Klowny symbol.
  • It was changed after a German player said it would be offensive in certain countries.
  • Similarly, "Monster Eyes" was originally called "Four Eyes", which could be seen as offensive.
  • Developers referred to the collectible symbols simply as "Secrets".
  • While the collectibles displayed in the level select area use the 21 "Primary" symbols, the collectibles in-game simply cycle through random characters.
  • Going back and picking up this symbol "for real" will appear to give you the symbol, but will not give you any more scarf.
  • As the wayfarer usually faces away from the camera, this brief moment is not visible to the player, but with a good camera angle it's hard to miss; the symbol is more prominent on a red robe but can observed on a white robe as well.

EA Sports FC Mobile: Icon Journey Guide

Nazarii Verbitskiy

If you haven't obtained 92-rated Zidane yet, it's time to read this guide. Here, we'll tell you everything to know about Icon Journey in FC Mobile

EA Sports FC Mobile icon journey guide

One of the most anticipated FIFA Mobile events, Icon Journey, is finally live in EA Sports FC Mobile. The previous year, EA Sports was giving Casillas and Fernando Torres, but this year's rewards are much better.

So, without further ado, read this guide. You'll find out everything you should know about Icon Journey in EA Sports FC Mobile, including the rewards, activities, and tips and tricks that can make completing Icon Journey a piece of cake.

EA FC Mobile: How To Complete Icon Journey

How To Complete Icon Journey fc mobile

This year, EA Sports significantly changed the rules of Icon Journey in EA FC Mobile. Now, you shouldn't meet requirements like the previous year. Still, don't get happy, as it still doesn't mean that Icon Journey became easier.

In EA Sports FC Mobile 24, Icon Journey has three levels: Elite, Master, and Legendary . To progress, phould collect special Icon Journey Tokens, which can be used to unlock new chapters. For example, chapter Master costs 300 Icon Journey Tokens.

EA FC Mobile: How To Get Icon Journey Tokens

The best wayt to get Icon Journey Tokens is to complete Skill Games and Matches avaiable in the Event menu. Players can get from 5 to 10 Icon Journey Tokens for a singly Match or Skill Game, which makes clear that collecting 300 Tokens is a complex process. You need at least 15 days to get them and move to the Master chapter.

In addition to completing matches, players can collect 5 Icon Journey Tokens for free in Daily Rewards. This seems to be a minor amount, but it can greatly improve your in-game experience.

EA FC Mobile: Icon Journey Tips & Tricks

Icon journey event

If you want to get free Zinedine Zidane as fast as possible, here are some tips & tricks that can make completing Icon Journey a bit easier.

Don't Forget Daily Challenges

As Daily Challenges are the only way to get Icon Journey Tokens, try your best not to miss even a single challenge. You can even create notification on your smarthpone reminding you to claim the daily Tokens.

Use Auto-Match

To complete the first matches in FC Mobile Icon Journey, use an auto-match option. This can save you up to 20 minutes on finishing the first challenges. Still, auto-match doesn't work for Skill Games.

Don't Be Afraid To Lose

Unlike challenges, there are no restrictions on losing matches in FC Mobile Icon Journey. So, if you're struggling to win a match, don't be afraid to lose and try again.

EA FC Mobile: Icon Journey Rewards

Zidane ea fc mobile

The main reward from the Icon Journey is 92-rated Zinedine Zidane. You can unlock him by completing the Icon Journey on Legendary difficulty. Although you cannot sell this card on the market, Zidane is a great addition to any FUT squad, unless you have his 94-rated card, which is considered one of the best midfielders in FC Mobile.

  • How to add icons in your club chat messages

As well as the text color , another common question that we have for June's Journey is how to add the small icon images into your cat messages or also into the club description message. This can be done with a simple HTML code to let you add in any of the icons that are shown below.

The icon images are know as sprites, to insert one in your text just use the code below:

<sprite=1>

The number in the code will determine the images that appears, at present it seems you can use numbers from 0 to 64 (65 total sprites). We have shown below the examples of the sprites that appear. for these numbers.

Sprite Examples

The following are the sprites that are currently appearing when you use the code in messages.

Remember some will appear differently on different background colors.

Midjourney Prompts for Game Assets + Prompt Examples

Designing game assets has never been easier now that you can use natural language as an input, thanks to Midjourney.

Written by: Milan K

It's never been easier to make a video game. First of all, there are various online platforms where you can hire talented programmers and designers to turn your idea into a reality. Secondly, you have all the resources you need to start learning how to code and design stuff yourself. Finally, you can use Midjourney to effortlessly create game assets.

You can directly use some of the game assets you create in Midjourney. This is the case only for 2D pixelated assets. When you create 3D assets, you should use them only as a reference image or inspiration.

Let's say that you've decided to make your own video game. You hired a team of freelancers to help you. And for the sake of the argument, let's say that you don't know anything about graphic design. You can only use words to describe what you want the designers to create.

One of the downfalls to using this method to communicate with graphic designers is that their finished product may not look anything like what you imagined. And it takes a lot of time for them to create another design. This process is simplified when you use Midjourney.

With a powerful text-to-image AI model, you can simply describe what you want to see designed with natural language and then generate countless variations until you find the image that you like the best. You can then send this image to graphic designers as a reference so they know what they should make.

midjourney prompts for game assets

How to Write Midjourney Prompts for Game Assets

When you're writing prompts for game assets, the most important rule to remember is that you need to clearly write what you want to see generated. Try to avoid mentioning too many details and only stick with the information that's important.

You should specify any information you deem important in your prompts. Mention the art style, the type of design you're looking for, the theme, and so on. It's also recommended that you experiment with different models in Midjourney. For example, the Niji model in Midjourney is excellent for making video game assets.

You are able to generate multiple items in a single prompt. You can do this simply by including the word 'sprite sheet' in your prompt.

I'll be using the default aspect ratio for the prompts in this article, as I think they're perfect for generating game assets. You can feel free to use any other aspect ratio you prefer.

One more thing I have to mention is that you'll often find it useful to upscale your game assets generated in Midjourney. I use a free and open-source tool called Upscayl when I want to increase the resolution of images I make in Midjourney. It's an excellent tool that quickly upscales any image.

15 Midjourney Prompts for Game Assets

There was a time in my life when I pretty much played video games all the time. There are so many classics that have helped shape my childhood into a very fun time I'll always gladly remember.

I've played various games spanning across different genres. I've also played both old and new video games. I like them all, regardless of the design. I like both pixelated and ultra-realistic games. In this article, I tried to create game assets for different art styles and genres. Enjoy!

/imagine sprite sheet, 2D art, assets for a desert environment --v 5.2

midjourney prompt for game assets desert

I've decided to start with a really simple prompt. I wanted to create a sprite sheet to show just how easy it is to create 2D game assets. It took me literally a few seconds to write the prompt, and then it took another 30 seconds for the image to be generated. And voila, now I have numerous assets that I can use in a video game.

When you're writing prompts like this, it's important to keep them as concise as possible. Get straight to the point. Mention that you want to create a sprite sheet first, then choose an art style, and finally describe what the assets should be for.

/imagine 3D model video game asset, sorcerer's wooden staff with a glowing orb attached to the top of it, brimming with magical energy --v 5.2

midjourney prompts rpg game assets sorcerer staff

I used to play Diablo 2 a lot. One of the items I'll never forget is a staff similar to this one. It was a sorcerer's staff with a blue orb attached to the top of it. Of course, given how old that video game is, the staff looked much simpler.

One thing I should have probably mentioned in the prompt is that the glowing orb is blue. I ran the prompt several times and usually got orbs that were orange or red, but then I saw this staff and fell in love with it the minute I saw it. It definitely looks like the staff I remember from Diablo 2 but more modern.

/imagine sprite sheet, video game assets for a game set in a fantasy medieval kingdom --niji 5

midjourney prompt for fantasy game assets

I previously mentioned in this article just how good the Niji model 5 is for making video game assets. And now you can see exactly why I wrote that. I would say that it's worth trying each prompt you write in both the latest Midjourney iteration and the latest Niji model. Compare the two and choose the one you like best.

One thing I noticed about writing prompts for sprite sheets is that when you try to give more context, you might not get a sprite sheet. That's why I decided to keep it short with these types of prompts.

/imagine 3D model video game asset, purple dragon that you can use as a mount in a video game, the scales on the dragon feature intricate gold details --niji 5

midjourney prompt dragon 3d model game asset

Most video games back in the day didn't have mounts. You had to walk everywhere. The first time I remember even the concept of fast travel in a video game is Fallout 2, where you can fix an old broken car and increase your travel speed significantly.

Today, most games have some sort of mount that you can use for fast travel (and additional benefits). They are usually horses, but you can find other creatures as well. One that I would like to use in a video game is a purple dragon, similar to the one I generated in Midjourney.

/imagine 3D rendered isometric Gothic castle where dark magicians reside, the castle is pulsating with dark red energy and evil spirits --v 5.2

game assets in midjourney isometric gothic castle

When you use the isometric style in your prompts, it will create a drawing of a three-dimensional shape using only two dimensions. This is an extremely useful keyword for when you're making game assets in Midjourney one by one.

I really like the level of detail here. If you were to see exactly this building in a video game, you'd probably never figure out that it was created using artificial intelligence.

/imagine sprite sheet, 2D game art, medieval weapons --v 5.2

midjourney prompt 2d game art weapons

I'm hooked on making these sprite sheets. I decided to include the entire set of four generated images here because I wanted to show everyone how great it looks. You can have dozens of items generated in under a minute.

There are certain items here that clearly aren't weapons, but that's okay. They fit well with the other items. There are some masks, shields, and a few pieces of body armor here. Not entirely what I expected but I was happy to see them.

/imagine 3D game asset, super fast futuristic vehicle, 3D rendered, Unreal Engine 5 --weird 1000 --v 5.2

midjourney prompt 3d game assets futuristic car

I used the weird parameter in this prompt. If you're not familiar with it, I suggest you read my article on how to use the weird parameter in Midjourney . It's essentially a parameter that you can use when you want to generate unexpected results. I set the parameter to a fairly high value here, which was maybe a tad too much.

I also used the keyword 'Unreal Engine 5' to specify what type of art style I would like to see used in the generated output. When you want to make 3D game assets that appear polished in Midjourney, you should definitely use that keyword.

/imagine sprite sheet showing the movement of a 2D pixel art character dressed in a shining knight armor --v 5.2

midjourney prompt knight game art

I knew that there was no way this was going to work, but I still had to try and see for myself. It would be extremely impressive if an AI text-to-image model could create a sprite sheet like this, but I think we still have a long way to go before something like this is possible.

The results I got from this prompt are weird, to say the least. I used the best image I got. This is obviously not what a sprite sheet showcasing character movement would look like, but it's still worthy of a mention.

/imagine 3D rendered isometric water fountain with gold inscriptions, intricate design, architectural marvel --v 5.2

isometric fountain game art midjourney

What a beautiful fountain! Adding a few simple keywords like 'intricate design' and 'architectural marvel' can help you create some outstanding designs in Midjourney.

/imagine 3D rendered isometric shrine dedicated to the old Gods who were here since the beginning of time --weird 1000 --v 5.2

3d isometric shrine game assets midjourney

This is a completely random prompt. I have no idea how it even popped into my mind, but I was happy to use it because I was running out of ideas for a brief moment. The shrine looks awesome.

/imagine 3D rendered game asset, isometric medieval white castle, simple, cute, minimalist --niji 5

isometricl castle midjourney prompt niji

I had to bring back the Niji model for a few more prompts. This is something really simple that I made. Not everything has to be glamorous - it can be minimalistic too. This is the standard medieval castle of which you've seen variations in countless video games released throughout the years.

/imagine sprite sheet, magic spells --niji 5

game assets magic spells midjourney prompt

Not even taking candy from a baby is as easy as writing a prompt like this. I got the idea to create a sprite sheet that consisted only of icons that I could use to symbolize different magic spells within a game. The generated output is pretty good, as I can easily see how these assets would fit in a game.

/imagine 3D video game asset, ancient sword in perfect shape that was forged in Earth's core and possesses superb magical properties, only the chosen one can wield this weapon --niji 5

midjourney prompt game assets 3d sword

I got a bit more creative than usual with this prompt. I wanted to mirror descriptions you'd usually find in video games when you come across a rare item. These descriptions are especially popular in RPGs.

/imagine 3D video game asset, purple glowing magic potion --niji 5

potion game asset midjourney

This is another really simple prompt. It's important that you become comfortable with describing what you want generated with as few words as possible. If you include too many details in your prompt, it may do more harm than good. In this case, I wanted to generate an image of a purple magic potion, so that's exactly what I wrote in my prompt.

/imagine 3D rendered video game asset, opened treasure chest with gold coins inside and a golden light emanating from it --v 5.2

treasure chest game asset in midjourney

For the final prompt in this article, I went back from the Niji model 5 to the Midjourney 5.2 model. I tried to think about what's the most common item I've seen in the video games I've played. And it's without a doubt a treasure chest. So, I decided to make one in Midjourney and I'm quite impressed with the result.

Final Thoughts

Designing game assets has never been easier now that you can use natural language as an input. You can now search for inspiration simply by writing what you need for your game and then letting the AI model work its magic.

I should mention that it's best to use Midjourney only to get inspired. If you're a graphic designer, you can write down different ideas you have and see how the AI model would create them. You can then work off that to create something original. This process can save you a ton of time.

In case you're making a game but don't know much about graphic design, you can enhance your communication with designers by using images generated in Midjourney as references. Give these images to designers to show them what the finished product should resemble.

At this point, it's easy to create your own 2D pixel game with the help of artificial intelligence. If you want to make something simple, you can use Midjourney to create the assets and environments. You can use ChatGPT to write a story for the game and a text-to-speech AI tool to generate character voices for the game.

Anthony davis scores 36 points while the lakers hold off another pacers comeback in a 150-145 win, lebron lobs to ad for alley-oop slam.

The Lakers score in style as LeBron James tees up Anthony Davis for an alley-oop connection.

LOS ANGELES -- — Anthony Davis had 36 points and 16 rebounds, LeBron James added 26 points and 10 assists, and the Los Angeles Lakers produced their franchise's highest-scoring performance in 37 years in a 150-145 victory over the Indiana Pacers on Sunday night.

Spencer Dinwiddie scored 26 points in his biggest offensive game since joining the Lakers, who have won three straight and five of seven. Los Angeles led 116-99 entering the fourth quarter, but Indiana closed the gap to three points down the stretch while putting up a 46-point final period.

Los Angeles held on by scoring 10 points in the final minute — including six free throws by Austin Reaves , who finished with 25 points in the highest-scoring performance by this 17-time NBA champion team since Jan. 2, 1987.

“We played them in the (In-Season Tournament) championship, and we know how high-powered an offense they are," James said. "They’re never going to stop playing no matter how far they get down or how far they’re up, so it’s a good win for us.”

All-Star Tyrese Haliburton awoke from a quiet 12-point performance to hit two 3-pointers in the final seconds, trimming the Lakers’ lead to three points with 20 seconds to play. LA survived when Dinwiddie made one free throw and Haliburton missed a 3 before Cam Reddish stole Doug McDermott’s pass with three seconds left.

“We allowed them to score 145, so ... it was terrible defensively,” Davis said. “They hit some shots toward the end, but we can do what we want offensively, as you could see tonight. But we’ve got to defend, especially when we’ve got a team (in trouble) like that. We don’t need to give them life, but at this point in the season, a win is a win. We’ll take it, but we’ve got to learn from it as well.”

Indiana coach Rick Carlisle was annoyed after the Lakers shot 43 free throws to the Pacers' 16, while Indiana was called for 31 fouls to Los Angeles' 14.

“I thought our guys really battled in this game," Carlisle said. "There were just certain things that were impossible to overcome. A 27 free throw differential is one, and a 17-foul differential is the other.”

Pascal Siakam scored 19 of his 36 points in the third quarter for the Pacers, who dropped to 2-1 on their five-game road trip after playing dismal defense in the second and third quarters, allowing 86 points by Los Angeles. Myles Turner added 20 points and TJ McConnell had 17 for the Pacers, who had eight double-digit scorers.

“Sometimes when you have difficult challenges, it's easy to drop your head and just say, ‘Hey, it’s not our night,' but our guys don't do that,” Carlisle said. “Our second unit battled in the second half. That last five-minute stretch, the first unit came back in there, and they were defiant about hanging in the game. At a certain point, you've got to play absolutely perfectly, and that was going to be very, very difficult.”

Dinwiddie stepped up while the Lakers won for the first time in six games this season without sharpshooting guard D’Angelo Russell, who was out with a non-COVID illness.

Offensive fireworks were no surprise in this matchup. In the Pacers' last visit to face the Lakers in November 2022, they rallied from a 17-point deficit in the fourth quarter before Andrew Nembhard hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer for a stunning 116-115 victory .

The teams met for the first time since the Lakers beat the Pacers 123-109 in Las Vegas to win the inaugural In-Season Tournament last December. The Lakers, who will play at Indiana on Friday, went into a 3-10 slump immediately after raising that trophy, and they haven't been able to rise higher than ninth in the Western Conference despite going 22-13 since that skid.

Russell's absence and the Pacers' speedy play caused problems for the Lakers early on, but Davis had 15 points and nine rebounds in the first half to keep it close. The Lakers scored a season-high 116 points through three quarters, but Siakam kept Indiana in it by himself.

Most of Argentina's national soccer team attended the game ahead of La Albiceleste's exhibition match at the Coliseum on Tuesday.
