Travel ID gives you universal access to the digital channels of Lufthansa Group airlines and Miles & More. The customer profile gives you the ability to use services within the Lufthansa Group as conveniently as possible and to enjoy a travel experience tailored to your personal wishes and expectations, from your first visit to the website or app until long after your journey has ended.

When you switch to Travel ID, you will benefit from many advantages and useful services. These include, for example, the option of receiving personalised flight offers and additional services on the booking platforms of Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS. You earn miles with Travel ID in the same way as before with your service card number, simply by entering it when booking a flight. Switch to Travel ID in just a few clicks.

How to switch to Travel ID if you already have a Miles & More profile

You can now log in to Miles & More even more conveniently with an email address and password of your choice – using your Travel ID. This is also your universal login for Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa and SWISS, and therefore for all bookings with these airlines. Login via service card number and PIN is still possible.

How to switch:

Log in to your Miles & More account as usual.

You will automatically be prompted to switch to Travel ID.

Set your desired email address and password.

All done. Now you can conveniently use all Travel ID options available on Lufthansa Group channels and at Miles & More.

If you can currently log in with your email address and password, you already have Travel ID. In this case, you don’t need to change your profile.

How to get your Travel ID if you don’t yet have a Miles & More profile

You only need to register for Travel ID if you don’t already have a profile with either an airline or Miles & More. To register , enter an email address and set a password. The password must have at least eight characters, including one upper-case letter, one lower-case letter, one digit and one special character. You will then receive an activation link by email, which is valid for 24 hours. Check your spam folder if you have not received a link. If your email address is not accepted, you probably already have a Travel ID profile. Only one profile can be created per email address. 

How to link your Travel ID to your Miles & More account

If you have already registered for Travel ID via Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa or SWISS and also have a Miles & More profile, you can easily merge the two profiles. To do so, log in to an airline channel with your Travel ID and link the accounts on the profile page in the frequent flyer programme section.

The mobile boarding pass – check in via your mobile device and save time.

Even when you're out and about, you can conveniently check in via your smartphone or tablet and download your mobile boarding pass.

Check in with your smartphone

From as early as 30 hours before departure you can check in with your smartphone, reserve your seat and receive your mobile boarding pass. Simply enter lufthansa.com in your mobile phone’s browser or use the Lufthansa app.

Please be aware of the check-in deadlines – the times by when you must be in possession of your boarding pass and have checked in your baggage. These deadlines vary from airport to airport.

The mobile boarding pass

You will receive your mobile boarding pass after mobile check-in and also after online check-in if you request it. After the confirmation ‘You are checked in’, you will receive your mobile boarding pass as an in-app directly in your boarding pass file, by email or sent as an SMS link straight to your smartphone.

Availability of the mobile boarding pass

The mobile boarding pass is available for almost all Lufthansa destinations. In exceptional circumstances, however, it is possible that a mobile boarding pass cannot be issued due to official regulations. In this case, you will only receive a confirmation of check-in. You will then be handed your boarding pass at the airport counter.

Manage your mobile boarding pass

After receiving your mobile boarding pass, you can manage and use this offline if you have the Lufthansa app, the iOS Wallet or Google Pay.

If you have problems with your mobile boarding pass

Should you have any problems with your mobile boarding pass, you can, of course, collect a conventional boarding pass from a check-in machine or from a Lufthansa check-in counter at the airport. The same applies if, for example, your mobile phone’s battery is empty or you have inadvertently deleted your mobile boarding pass.

Quicker on board – with or without baggage

Save valuable time with your mobile boarding pass: if you are travelling with carry-on baggage only, you can go straight to security and then proceed to your gate. If you have other bags, you can simply check these in on the way to your gate at one of the designated Lufthansa bag drop-off counters or at the self-service bag drop kiosk.

Log into your Miles & More account

Please enter your Travel ID (email address) or service card number.

Your service card number consists of 15 characters and can be found on your Miles & More card or your service card in the Miles & More app. You created your User ID (4-16 characters) when you registered.

Please enter your password.

Your password contains at least eight characters. Your PIN consists of the numbers 0-9.

Komfortabler buchen

Egal zu welchem Ziel: Die neue mobile Buchungsplattform macht das Buchen von Flügen durch eine verbesserte Nutzer-Oberfläche noch einfacher und schneller.

Reibungsloser Check-in

Der neue Check-in bietet allen Fluggästen ein verbessertes Reiseerlebnis. Die intuitive Nutzung und das moderne Design machen es noch leichter, die notwendigen Reisevorbereitungen zu treffen und den Flug entspannt anzutreten.

Bequemer bezahlen

Für eine ebenso nahtlose Bezahlung sorgt die neue „digitale Brieftasche“. Mit dieser können ab Ende März mehrere Zahlungsmethoden im Travel ID Konto hinterlegt werden.

Um Fluggästen zusätzliche Unterstützung während operationeller Hochphasen anzubieten, sind weitere Self-Servicing Funktionen für die Lufthansa App geplant.

Mit dem Launch der neuen Lufthansa App nutzen Austrian Airlines, Brussels Airlines, Lufthansa und SWISS erstmalig eine gemeinsame App-Lösung. Sie ist ab sofort im Apple App Store für iOS ab Version 14 und im Google Play Store für Android ab Version 5 verfügbar.

Networked all around - with Lufthansa FlyNet® and Travel ID

Whether you prefer to polish your presentation during your flight, relax while listening to a podcast or simply want to check your connecting flights: with Lufthansa FlyNet®, travelers can surf in a relaxed manner on board. Use the FlyNet® portal to register for your personal Travel ID directly on board - automatic e-mail authentication included. For the Lufthansa Group and all your travelers, this is another important step towards an all-round connected, digital travel experience on board.

How it works:

Since June 1, 2023, travelers on continental flights receive 30 free minutes on the in-flight WLAN FlyNet®. Simply log in with your personal Travel ID - and you will have access to the latest travel information and updates on connecting flights. Travelers also enjoy many self-service options in the Customer Cockpit and numerous entertainment options such as eJournals and podcasts.
