RVs With Two Bathrooms

12 Of Our Favorite RVs (Travel trailers & Motorhomes) with 2 bathrooms

When it comes to hitting the open road, the newest trend in larger family RVs is about maximizing luxury and comfort. And one feature that’s quickly becoming a must-have for many full-timers is the inclusion of not one but TWO bathrooms.

If you have a large family or need extra privacy when you’re on the road, having two bathrooms in your RV is helpful. And when it comes to RVs with dual bathrooms, they can be different in size and amenities offered in each bathroom. Some RVs will have two full baths, while others will have a bath and a half.

Though two bathroom RV may seem ideal, having multiple bathrooms has advantages and disadvantages. First, dual bathrooms occupy a lot of space in a floor plan; Motorhomes, 5th wheel, or travel trailer that features two separate bathrooms must be reasonably large. So, you won’t be able to tow it with just any vehicle. And second, most RVs that have a dual bathroom setup will also be considered “luxury RVs,” so they don’t come cheap.

However, if you need the added convenience and luxury of having an extra bathroom in your home on the wheel, read on to discover our top picks. You can find them in fifth wheels, travel trailers, and motorhomes.

10 RVs with Two Bathrooms

While our list is not all-inclusive to the RVs on the market today with two bathrooms, we tried to provide a wide variety of options, so you can begin your research into the best RV with two bathrooms in a wide variety of styles and options.

Here are mind-blowing RV options with an extra bathroom, split into categories of motorhomes, 5th wheels, and travel trailers.

1. Fleetwood Discovery LXE

Fleetwood Discovery LXE

1 Full Bath | 1 Half Bath

This is a Class A Diesel Motorhome. Fleetwood has been manufacturing luxury motorhome RVs for about 20 years, and all of the models are spot-on amazing.

The Discovery has a more diverse selection of two bathroom floorplans than most of the RV models on our list. That makes it perfectly customizable for your group travel needs.

Other Stand-Out Features:

 • 5 model floorplan options – only 4 have two bathrooms
 • Integrated patio awning with exterior entertainment center
 • Front zone heated flooring
 • Residential style furniture
 • Full bath connected to the bedroom
 • Half bath located near the living area/kitchen

2. Forest River Legacy SR 340

Forest River Legacy SR 340

2 Full Bathrooms

This Class A Diesel Motorhome has multiple floorplans, one of which is equipped with two full bathrooms.

Beyond the fantastic features already included to make this a luxury motorhome, Forest River has optional add-ons like a stackable washer/dryer, electric easy bed lift, and theater seating in place of a sofa.

 • Semi-gloss hardwood throughout
 • Dimmer control lighting
 • Solar panel controller with roof prep
 • Continuous flow hot water
 • One-piece fiberglass roof

3. Tiffin Phaeton 40 IH

Tiffin Phaeton 40 IH 2020

One of the most popular motorhomes on the list is the Phaeton. Along with its popularity, it should be considered the ultimate luxury RV.

The Tiffin Phaeton has six different floorplans, and four of those have two bathrooms.

They are all one full bath and one-half bath equipped with no double full bath options available.

 • Motion sensor lighting for exterior storage
 • Stainless steel residential refrigerator
 • Metal wrapped automatic patio awning
 • Solid wood cabinets
 • Central vacuum cleaner

4. Winnebago Horizon 42Q

Winnebago Horizon 42Q

Winnebago has some amazing RV designs, but the Horizon was our top choice for their 5th wheel with two bathrooms.

It is a Class A Diesel Motorhome with two floorplan options. However, only the 42Q plan has two bathrooms included in the design.

The master bathroom is located behind the bedroom on the back of the motorhome while the half bath is located more centrally for convenient use in the living area.

 • Residential stainless steel french door refrigerator
 • Exterior entertainment center equipped with an HDTV, soundbar, and subwoofer
 • Electric fireplace
 • Stacked washer/dryer (optional add-on)
 • Keyless entry with remotes

5. Dutchman Voltage 3915

Dutchman Voltage 3915

Our first 5th wheel Dutchman Voltage has 11 floorplans, but only five of them have two bathrooms.

The other floorplans have some other great features to check out if you are trying to decide which style is best for you.

Plus, the best thing about this 5th wheel trailer is the toy hauler garage. This is a perfect trailer for outdoor junkies that love motorized toys!

 • Toy hauler garage with a zero-g ramp door
 • A complete central interior command system
 • 7’ tall ceiling slide-out system
 • Kitchen island with sink to save counter space
 • Choice of interior design and decor

6. Jayco North Point 379DBFS

Jayco North Point 379DBFS

Jayco has tons of fantastic RV options, and this 5th wheel is great for anyone that wants to live full-time or take extended trips.

There are some really popular features in this model beyond the two bathrooms as well.

 • Private rear bath entry door
 • Walk-in pantry
 • Tri-fold hide-a-bed and desk
 • Loft area above bonus room
 • Outside kitchen

7. Heartland Milestone 389TB

Heartland Milestone 389TB

Not only does this 5th wheel have two full bathrooms, but one is equipped with a bathtub as well.

There are a variety of other Milestone floorplans to choose from to personalize your design.

The 389TB design also gives you ample living space inside and out.

 • Solar, satellite, and backup camera prep
 • Heated and enclosed underbelly
 • Innovative and unique floorplans
 • 6ft 5in slide outs
 • Accent lighting in ceiling boards

Travel Trailers

8. jayco jay flight bungalow 40bhqs.

Jayco Jay Flight Bungalow 40BHQS

Although the Jayco Jay Flight Bungalow has six different floorplan options, there is only one of them that has two bathrooms.

The other designs are unique, though, and worth looking into if you have a family.

In one floorplan, they have a loft built into the space for an additional sleeping area.

 • Outside shower
 • Power awning with LED lights and sound system
 • 96” interior height
 • Auto-ignition furnace
 • Electric fireplace with thermostat controls

9. Crossroads Sunset Trail SS331BH

Crossroads Sunset Trail SS331BH

The Crossroads Sunset Trail floorplan that we chose not only has two bathrooms, but their positioning is perfect for large group use.

There is plenty of seating that converts into sleeping areas as well as a master bedroom.

The master bathroom is accessible without having to walk through the bedroom, and the half bath is situated on the other end so other campers can use it.

 • Table and chairs in place of a dinette booth
 • Rear roof ladder
 • Upgraded insulation
 • Bathroom skylight
 • Entertainment center and fireplace

10. Keystone RV Passport 3351BH GT Series

Keystone RV Passport 3351BH GT Series

The Keystone Rv 3351BH final travel trailer on our list is a favorite. The two bathrooms are positioned perfectly into the layout for ease of use, and the half bath even has an outdoor entrance.

This accessibility makes it perfect for outdoor entertaining. The master bath is connected to the bedroom, but there is also a door to access it without having to go through the bedroom for additional privacy.

 • Multiple furniture and seating options
 • Outdoor kitchen
 • Exterior shower with hot and cold taps
 • Vaulted ceiling
 • USB charging ports throughout

Benefits of RVs with Two Bathrooms

If you are looking into RVs with two bathrooms, then it is probably because you are going to be traveling with a large group of some kind.

Having two bathrooms is also great for large families! The main benefits of having two bathrooms include more privacy, you have a backup, and it is more conducive to group travel.

Being on the road can take a toll on any group, no matter how tight-knit they may be.

So, having that extra space during our ritualistic morning and evening routines can be beneficial.

It also gives you an additional bathroom when someone is in the shower.

This is especially important with young kids! If someone is using the shower and taking too long, it can be hard for them to wait.

Along with that idea, you also have some extra privacy. Maybe it is just you and your spouse traveling together, but you like extra space.

You can each claim one bathroom and make it your own. That way, no one is taking up too much counter space or taking too long in the bathroom while the other one waits their turn.

With two bathrooms, you also have a backup in case something breaks or malfunctions.

It can be stressful to try and fix things on the fly, and you can’t always repair them yourself.

So, if you’re in a remote location, you would usually have to head into town to get things fixed up.

If you have two bathrooms, you may be able to wait it out until you’ve finished your stay.

Are There Downsides to Two Bathrooms in an RV?

While in most scenarios, the benefits of having two bathrooms in your RV outweigh the downsides, there are still some cons we should mention.

The biggest gripe RV owners may have is that two bathrooms take up too much space.

You will have to make a compromise on space with an additional bathroom in another area of the living space.

This could impact the bedroom or living room in most cases. However, if the privacy factor or if you travel in large groups, the removed space in the living area may be worth it for the convenience of two restrooms.

Although an extra bathroom may be great for a backup at times, you still should factor in the fact of additional maintenance.

After all, you now have two bathrooms instead of one! On top of that, you should expect to have a larger black tank and more frequent dumps.

Despite those few cons, the additional bathroom in RVs has become widely popular.

The convenience of an extra bathroom makes it worth it for most RV travelers.

Two Full Bathrooms or Bath and a Half?

Another consideration that was not explicitly discussed earlier in this article is how to decide between two full baths of a full and a half.

The main thing to consider here is how many people you’ll be traveling with and the general intent behind having two bathrooms.

If you have a large family or large group of friends going somewhere for an extended time, having two full baths may be the best option.

This is especially true if you will be hooked up at an RV park. If you have immediate access to a water source and aren’t using tanks, two showers won’t be an issue.

On the other hand, if you are only planning to use the extra bathroom as a backup if someone is in the shower, then a half bath should suffice.

Overall, it will depend on who you’re traveling with and why you think an additional bathroom would be helpful.

Choose the RV Right for You

Now that we have given you a starting point for your research into RVs with two bathrooms, you have a few decisions to make.

We hope that our list helped to narrow down your search and give you some good ideas of what to look for when shopping.

Remember, shopping is half the fun! Take your time to go and view the RVs in person and go on multiple tours.

These tours will give you a real feel for how the two bathrooms fit into the space and if it is worth it or not.

In the end, the RV you choose will be up to you! You want to make sure that you find one that fits your personal needs and lifestyle seamlessly. Happy camping!

It would be nice to see a “lowest priced” option with two bathrooms. My wife and I have health needs that require two bathrooms, but we don’t need as much room as these offer. It’s difficult to research specifics such as this without seeing them in a story.

Agreed, Dave! It would be nice to see bottom line information. Thank you for asking the question many people are curious about. Hopefully, someone has a wonderful idea.

Travel Trailers Under 3000 lbs Specifications

We looked at a variety of camper floorplans before choosing these 16 lightweight campers for you. In our in-depth review of the current market, we only chose travel trailers with a bathroom and under 3000 lbs (or at most 3,000 pounds of dry weight).

Consider that you will have campers with a dry bath and full dry bath (including a hand basin) , as well as options with a rudimentary but convenient wet bath with only a shower and a toilet . If you are not familiar with the different types of RV toilets our article tells you all you need to know.

Some of the options on our list of these 16 lightweight campers under 3,000 lbs have one slide-out and bunk beds. However, the majority of the campers in this review are meant for couples or a small group of weekend travelers.

Numerous of these campers also have the benefit of being short , making them simple to move around and store.

The chart below summarizes a brief detail of the weighting and size specifications . In the rest of the article, we highlight the differences between each floorplan, including walkthrough videos and 360 tours. We also review the advantages and disadvantages to help you choose between these amazing travel trailers with a bathroom under 3000 lbs (dry weight).

16 Campers Under 3,000 lbs Dry Weight

To keep the weight absolutely clear, we will refer at all times to 3000 lbs dry weight, also known as the unloaded vehicle weight (UVW). In this way, we will highlight the maximum loading capacity (or CCC, meaning cargo capacity), which, among many floorplans, is a big difference.

As we always mention, if the maximum towing capacity of your vehicle is 3000 lbs, you should not be looking for campers of exactly the maximum of your towing capacity . It is advisable to go no more than 70-80% to have some margin of safety and also do the math to find the right weight camper.

If you need a camper lighter than 3000 lbs , check out the 10 best small pop-up campers on the current market, where you will find small campers under 1500 lbs and as short as 15 feet long when folded.

We have reviewed a number of camper floorplans and have selected these 16 travel trailers under 3000 lbs for you to consider in your search . All of these lightweight campers are equipped with a bathroom , which is extremely advantageous. Some even have full bathrooms , including a hand basin. You’ll find that in this size of RV at only 3,000 lbs or less, the bathroom can be wet or dry, but can also just be a toilet and shower. With no other space available, many floorplans do not include something like a hand basin.

In addition to being lightweight , many of these campers have the advantage of being short and, therefore, easy to maneuver and store .

You’ll see floorplans perfect for couples and others suitable for larger families looking for lightweight travel trailer options with spacious bunkhouses.

KZ RV Travel Trailers Under 3000 lbs Floorplans

Let’s see these amazing 6 lightweight travel trailers floorplans by KZ RV.

Floor Plans for Couples

We have 4 KZ RV floorplans that offer lightweight campers without bunk beds , perfect for couples looking for an easy-to-tow ultra light camper under 3000 lbs with a bathroom, and even comfortable to live in or to take a leap.

The Sportsmen Classic 130RB is a light and short camper under 17 feet for 2 people, convenient for those who are looking for a small camper with a dry bath .

travel trailers with bathroom under 3000 lbs dry weight

The Sportsmen Classic 160RBT is a hybrid between a travel trailer and a pop-up camper with a bathroom that offers end beds in the best pop-up camper style, with the advantages of the solid side walls of a travel trailer. These pop-up beds are helpful in creating a more spacious interior without increasing the weight and length of a short camper by less than 17 feet when folded. As we always mention with short campers, travel trailers under 20 feet are straightforward to maneuver and store in any garage , which is a great advantage for RV beginners.

160QB camper Under 3000 lbs (dry weight) for Up to 3 People

The 160QB and 170MB floorplans are very similar, and their main difference is based on the bed. The KZRV 160QB travel trailer comes with a fixed queen bed, while the 170MB has a queen Murphy bed with a sofa . Although both travel trailers have the same length (22 feet) and overall dimensions, the 170MB has the advantage of appearing to have a more spacious interior. During the day, you have lunch or supper seated in the booth dinette and then enjoy the comfort of the sofa of the 170MB floorplan . At night, you can easily pull down the queen Murphy bed and rest.

The bathroom in the 170MB is more spacious than the 160QB. However, the best closet is in the 160QB. So, there are floorplans to suit all tastes. Choosing the right one just depends on what you are looking for.

KZ RV Sportsmen Classic 130RB

The Sportsmen Classic 130RB is a travel trailer under 3000 lbs with a dry bath (only shower and toilet) and sleeping capacity for up to 2 people.

KZ RV Sportsmen Classic 160RBT Hybrid Travel Trailer Under 3000 Lbs

The Sportsmen Classic 160RBT is a Hybrid Travel Trailer Under 3000 lbs ., with 2 bunk ends, a dry bath, and a sleeping capacity for up to 6 people when the booth dinette is folded down, increasing the sleeping places. The 3000 lbs of this camper are well distributed in a very advantageous floorplan.

The 10 Best Travel Trailers With 2 Bathrooms

Sometimes taking your family on long journeys in a travel trailer is the best thing for them. It can allow them to break out of the bubble they might currently live in. What’s more is that it has the potential to change their perspective on a lot of things. If nothing else, traveling in a camper with your family can help all of you bond. You would be reminded of how important family is, and you would come out the other side more appreciative of the familial bonds you get to enjoy.

Now, traveling with your family is all well and good. But it does necessitate that you get a travel trailer with two bathrooms. This would give anyone the level of privacy they need. Otherwise they might end up feeling trapped and with nowhere to go where they can be alone. You don’t just want to take your family on a trip where they’re not comfortable. Rather, you would want them to be able to feel at home. This won’t be possible if they all have to share a single bathroom.

Before you go out and buy a travel trailer with two bathrooms, you need to bear in mind that they don’t come cheap. These aren’t compact travel trailers that are meant for basic necessities. Rather, they would be a lot larger than your average camper or RV. What’s more is that there are pros and cons to having two bathrooms that you might want to keep in mind. We will discuss these pros and cons below. You can also find a list of the ten best campers and RVs that have two bathrooms.

The Pros And Cons of RVs With Two Bathrooms

It is important to keep in mind the benefits that you would get by purchasing an RV or travel trailer with two bathrooms. These advantages can help you understand why this is such a great purchase. Perhaps the most obvious advantage is that everyone will have their own space. There would be less of a chance that someone might need to wait for the current occupant of a bathroom to get done with their business. Having to wait to use the bathroom can be really frustrating. Especially early in the morning when the need for a bathroom can arguably be referred to as an emergency.

If you have young kids then an extra bathroom becomes even more important. After all, you can’t expect your kid to just stand and hold it while someone else finishes their bathroom time. Kids don’t have a lot of control over their bladders and bowels. This means that if they are forced to hold it, they could have an accident and make a mess. Such accidents are particularly troublesome in RVs. Because the smell tends to spread rather quickly and can be tough to get it. Having an extra bathroom is crucial for avoiding such issues.

It can also be stressful to be in the bathroom and having someone banging on the door. This can prevent you from going about your business calmly, and some have difficulty going at all if the pressure to leave quickly is on them. Hence, you need at least two bathrooms so that people don’t have to wait too long. Your family members might also be able to split the bathroom among themselves. If only a couple of people are ever going to be using a specific bathroom, this means that they would get the chance to personalize it according to their own preferences.

Now that all of the benefits have been discussed, we need to mention the potential downsides of having two bathrooms in your travel trailer. While the advantages are certainly pertinent, you need to put them in context by also taking negative factors into account. The net result does lean towards the positive opinion but that doesn’t change the fact that some of these downsides might be deal breakers for a lot of people thinking of buying an RV or a travel trailer.

A commonly discussed disadvantage of having two bathrooms is that they take up a lot of space. RVs don’t have a lot of space to begin with, which means that two bathrooms are a luxury that might reduce space in other areas. This means that you might need to buy a very high end RV to incorporate two bathrooms whilst also having extra space for comfortable living. Or you might need to settle for not having a lot of room to move around if having two bathrooms is a bigger priority for you. Either way, a compromise would have to be made. Either you would need to spend a lot more money or make do with a limited amount of living space. It all depends on whether you prefer larger bedrooms and dining areas or if you would rather just have a spare bathroom for various situations.

Another downside is that they require more maintenance. One bathroom requires quite a bit of maintenance on its own. Having two bathrooms means that this maintenance, and the costs that come with it, would be doubled. Still, with all of these downsides taken into account, having two bathrooms tends to be a popular option for most people. It’s all a matter of what’s more important for your particularly lifestyle.

An Important Thing to Consider

People seem to think that you only have two options when it comes to the bathrooms in your RV or camper. These two options are having either one or two options. However, what if we told you that there was a third option? This third option might represent a middle ground that many would find to be satisfying.

The third option that we are referring to here is having one and a half bathrooms. In this kind of setup, one of your bathrooms would be fully fitted with showers and other necessary amenities. Your extra bathroom, on the other hand, would not have a full setup. Instead it would consist of basic amenities such as a commode and a sink.

A setup like this tends to offer you the best of both worlds. Your family members would have an extra bathroom to attend the call of nature in case the main bathroom is being used. Having multiple showers is not that important after all. Mostly people just need an extra bathroom so that they can go. Waiting for a shower is not nearly as bad as having to hold your pee in while someone else finishes up their bathroom usage.

This option has some pretty clear advantages. For one thing, it tends to provide a lot of the same benefits that a dual bathroom setup can offer. All of these benefits are provided without using as much space. You would save up to half the space that would have otherwise gone towards setting up a spare full bathroom.

Some criticize dual bathroom setups as being unnecessarily extravagant. One and a half bathrooms is therefore preferable for such people. It also reduces maintenance costs. So you should take this option seriously, especially if you are on a tight budget but still don’t want to have to compromise on bathrooms. Now, without further ado, here are the ten best campers, RVs, travel trailers and motorhomes that offer two separate bathrooms.

Top 10 Best Travel Trailers With 2 Bathrooms

1. fleetwood discovery lxe.

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

This is a highly luxurious motorhome that is meant for life on the road. It has five different floor plans on offer, four of which would have 2 bathrooms that you can take advantage of. The front area of the motorhome also has heated flooring. This would be a nice touch during winter. It will reduce your dependence on space heaters and the like. Such heaters pose a lot of health risks. Using heated flooring can prevent you from having to deal with such risks. It also lends a premium feel to the whole vehicle. It’s rare to find homes that have any kind of heated flooring. So the fact that this motorhome has such a feature is truly impressive.

One of the bathrooms would be an en suite. Hence, you can use it in the privacy of your own bedroom. The other bathroom can be used for other members of the family as well as guests. That way guests won’t have to go traipsing through your bedroom in order to get to the bathroom. As a result, you would get a motorhome experience that is full of privacy and convenience. The second bathroom is a half bath and it’s located in the living area next to the kitchen for easy access.

2. Forest River Legacy SR 340

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

You won’t have to settle for one and a half baths with this motorhome . Instead, you get a full two bathrooms. That’s because the Legacy motorhome by Forest River is designed to be as luxurious as possible. You can tell how much they cared about luxury when you see the hardwood floors. They are semi-glossy which means that cleaning them would be a breeze. It’s also nice to have hardwood floors since they make the whole place seem a bit fancier. That doesn’t mean the interior would look ostentatious, though. Rather, these hardwood floors are stylish but in a really classy way.

Both of the bathrooms in this motorhome will have access to continuous hot water. This is a luxury that can be amazing to have when it’s cold outside. Showering with cold water during winter can be one of the worst things for anyone to experience. So you would definitely appreciate the fact that this motorhome lets you have hot showers whenever you feel like it. The lighting in this motorhome is also quite nice. You have dimmer controls which allow you to control how bright the light is. This is great for maximizing the aesthetic value of your motorhome.

3. Tiffin Phaeton 40 IH

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

This might be one of the most luxurious motorhomes that you could possibly get. It has plenty of extra features that you wouldn’t be able to find anywhere else. One particular feature that we enjoyed a lot is the motion sensor activated lighting for exterior storage compartments. It can often be tricky to see where you are putting your luggage, and you need to have clear visibility in these areas. You might need to get something from exterior storage compartments at night. Taking a flashlight along can be time consuming and inconvenient. Hence, the motion activated lighting is a nice feature that can help you access your stored items whenever the need arises.

You also get a pretty impressive fridge with this motorhome. It’s made of stainless steel, and looks very high end. You wouldn’t have to compromise when you have a fridge like this. Plenty of other useful features are being offered as well. Such as the patio awning that can be automatically activated. The patio awning also comes with metal wrapping. This can help protect it from all kinds of damage. You need the patio awning to have a pleasant experience while sitting outside your motorhome. So having it protected from damage can put your mind at ease.

4. Winnebago Horizon 42Q

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

It’s tough to find a motorhome that has a nice fridge. The Winnebago Horizon , however, provides one like it’s no big deal. That’s part of the reason why we like this motorhome so much. The fridge here is once again made of stainless steel. It also comes with French doors. Which is a sign that the fridge is truly spacious. You would be able to store all of your perishable foods in it. Storing food in advance is a great way to keep you and your family fed for the duration of your trip.

This motorhome also provides an excellent entertainment system. The system can be accessed from the exterior of the vehicle. It has a great sound quality to it. HDTV is also offered, so you can take advantage of high definition video as well. Another perk is that this motorhome offers keyless entry. You wouldn’t have to worry about keeping your keys on you. Nor would you have to stress out if you ever lose your keys. Instead you get easy access to your motorhome with the push of a button. Cutting edge technology like this sets this motorhome apart from the rest.

5. Dutchman Voltage 3915

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

Dutchman has put a lot of work into making this a cutting edge 5 th wheel that anyone would want to use. It has a centralized control system that provides easy access to everything. There is also some pretty smart usage of space here. Space has been optimized to make sure that nothing is wasted. Sink placement in particular has been managed spectacularly here. The kitchen island has the sink built into it. That means that you would have more counter space to use for other cooking activities. Chopping vegetables is easier when you have extra counter space after all.

Another thing that we like about this motorhome is that it gives you options. It lets you choose what kind of interior design you want. You can select from lots of different options. More options means you wouldn’t have to compromise. Instead you would be able to select something that conforms to your preferences.

This is a motorhome that is both practical as well as aesthetically pleasing. It offers the best of both worlds in many ways. This is something that makes a lot of people appreciate the quality it can provide.

6. Jayco Northpoint

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

This is a 5 th wheel that offers two full bathrooms. In fact, one of the bathrooms actually has extra privacy. It has been installed in the rear of the 5 th wheel. Which means that you can use it without anyone being anywhere near the bathroom. Some people need a little extra privacy while they are going about their business. This kind of bathroom setup helps them out a bit. Both bathrooms are also fully fitted. So you can rely on a complete experience whenever you use them.

Pantries are great for storing a lot of food, so you would like that this 5 th wheel has a pantry built in. We’re not talking about a standard pantry either, but rather a huge walk in pantry that can store all kinds of things. An additional space saving measure is the foldable bed and desk setup that you have. It’s perfect for when you have guests or if your family is a bit larger.

A fairly extravagant loft area is also made available for you. It can be found above the bonus room. This makes it perfect for relaxation. It also means that you get maximum usage out of the space you have. Vertical expansion always works out better than horizontal expansion.

7. Heartland Milestone 389TB

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

Having two full bathrooms is one thing. Having one bathroom with a bathtub in it is another. Bathtubs offer the ultimate bathing experience. They are a lot better than showers, and use a lot less water as well. This 5 th wheel has a bathroom with a bathtub in it. The other bathroom has a shower. Which means that two people can bathe at a time. Something that can prove useful if you need to go to some kind of an event and multiple people need to get ready so that they can go to this event.

This 5 th wheel has been optimized to facilitate complete off grid living. It has a pretty excellent solar setup. As well as satellite links that you can use to communicate with people. There are also some nice lights that you can use. The lights are placed in the ceiling boards. They’re accented to provide a softer and more comforting lighting experience. Lights form an important part of your lifestyle. So it’s nice that you get to take advantage of such excellent lighting in this 5 th wheel. It gives it a nice vibe that would let you relax completely. You might even forget that you live a life on the road because this 5 th wheel offers hotel room level luxuries.

8. Jayco Jay Flight Bungalow 40BHQS

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

This 5 th wheel makes smart usage of space. It offers an exterior shower. That way you can get your bathing done without preventing someone else from being able to use the bathroom. Exterior showers are a lot of fun as well. Using them can help you get clean whilst also appreciating the great outdoors. The water will most likely be hot as well thanks to the furnace. What’s more is that the furnace has an automatic ignition system. So you wouldn’t have to go through the rather stressful ordeal of trying to turn it on manually. Furnace heaters are also great at keeping your 5 th wheel warm.

Warmth has clearly been a huge priority for Jayco while making this fifth wheel. You can see this in the electric fireplace that has been installed. Hence, you would get two heating options with this fifth wheel. You can use one to keep a steady supply of hot water coming, whereas the other can be used to keep your 5 th wheel nice and toasty no matter how cold it might be outside.

9. Crossroads Sunset Trail SS331BH

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

It can be nice to be able to look at the sky while you are using the bathroom. That’s why we like the skylight that this trailer offers in one of the bathrooms. For better or for worse, the main bathroom is not located in the bedroom. It’s in the main living area instead. Some would like this since the bedroom can then be used for sleeping. It will only ever be accessed when you are looking to get some shut eye. You can spend most of your day in the living area and have continuous easy access to the bathroom.

You get a traditional fireplace with this trailer. Using this would bring a nice, warm feeling to the environment. This is perfect for people that have large families that they need to take care of. You want a nice family environment that everyone can enjoy after all. The excellent insulation that this trailer offers can also help you to keep the interior warm. It can reduce the amount of time you need to leave a heater on. Thereby saving you a lot of energy. Your trailer would stay warmer for longer thanks to the insulation as well. That’s definitely a point in the pros column for this fifth wheel.

10. Keystone RV Passport 3351BH GT Series

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

Exterior access to bathrooms can offer a lot of benefits. It helps you use your bathroom even if you’re outside. It also makes it easier for you to access the bathroom while taking a shower. This fifth wheel has doors that can allow you to access each of the bathrooms from the outside. The exterior shower also has two separate taps for hot and cold water. This is a feature that many fifth wheels don’t offer. You can get the water to just the right temperature for you to use.

While this 5 th wheel has a lot of great interior features, it’s clear that it is meant to help you enjoy yourself outside. The kitchen has been fitted in the exterior of this vehicle as well. That means that you can entertain your guests easily without bringing them into your otherwise cramped quarters. The vaulted ceiling is also a nice touch. It helps create more ventilation during the summer.

The following travel trailers with two queen bedrooms are current year models that can be purchased new from dealerships.

Airstream Flying Cloud 30FB Bunk

Airstream makes some of the most aesthetically pleasing and functional travel trailers on the market. Their 30-foot long Flying Cloud 30FB Bunk floorplan is the perfect choices for families traveling with two to three children.

A front queen bedroom offers plenty of space and storage for an adult couple. In the rear of the RV, beside the bathroom, a bunkroom offers a bottom queen size bed and a single top bunk.

Both of the queen bedrooms in the travel trailer are enclosed by curtains, so there is visual privacy but no sound-proofing. The Flying Cloud also offers a similar model with a separate office space instead of a second bedroom.

The main bedroom offers a walk-around queen bed with direct entry into the bathroom. The secondary bedroom, in the rear of the trailer, has limited floor space but is enclosed with a real door for total privacy. The Grey Wolf also offers a double entry with direct access to the bathroom from outside.

The only toy hauler on our list of new travel trailers with two queen bedrooms, the 37.5-foot long Palomino Unleashed 29TH utilizes the garage as a second bedroom.

The optional queen bed in the cargo area has an electric lift, so the bed can be raised when you are traveling with more toys than guests. A full bathroom separates the back bedroom / garage from the main living area.

In the main living area, campers will enjoy a full kitchen with a pantry and a large dinette. The front of the RV houses a private queen bedroom.

Toy Haulers have the added benefit of a back porch, see our full list of RVs with porches for more great toy haulers and fifth wheels.

12 Best Small Travel Trailers with Bathrooms

Look, there are plenty of reasons not to want a large RV. Smaller models, such as small travel trailers, often mean significant savings. Not only will your RV no cost the equivalent of buying another house when you choose smaller travel trailers, but you can also expect better gas mileage, an easier time finding parking spaces, and plenty of other advantages beside—all while still having greater comfort than, say, tent camping.

So there’s plenty to recommend getting yourself a small travel trailer if you’re looking into recreational camping vehicles. One of the biggest drawbacks, however, is that many of them, in trying to make the most of their smaller space, skip including a bathroom.

In which case your bathroom situation is the same as it would be if you were tent camping. Let’s be real: Is that what you are looking for in a recreational vehicle?

If you’re like us, probably not.

Fortunately, however, there are an increasing number of small travel trailers that come with a bathroom. Let’s look at some of the best, shall we?

Table of Contents

Airstream Sport (2018)

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

Airstream is one of the oldest and most trusted recreational vehicle and camper brands with good reason, and the most recent versions of the Sport travel trailer demonstrate just why that is. Loaded with great features and name brand elegance, the Sport is one of our favorite small travel trailers.

Let’s start with the bathroom, which might be our favorite of all the bathrooms highlighted here. Not only does it have separate roof fan and venting, but the toilet is porcelain (unlike the heavy plastics more common in small travel trailers), the bathroom faucet genuine Moen, and the sink Lavy. The shower comes with a great showerhead, a retractable clothesline (so you can dry wet clothes items in the shower when you aren’t using it), and a towel bar. The blackwater tank is external to the trailer, too, so should your toilet water get smelly, it won’t be a problem inside the travel trailer.

And the rest of the travel trailer is loaded with similarly classy, high-end features, including great appliances (a convection oven or more standard microwave, refrigerator, and foldable two-burner cooktop), a cutting board sink cover, an Ultraleather dinette set, Moen faucet, LED HD TV and JVC stereo, blackout shades for the panoramic front windows, auxiliary heating and air conditioning, and a great fan for when you simply need air rotation. Additionally, those windows are tempered and tinted, the TV comes with cable hookups, the roof is a white aluminum that helps keep temperatures moderate, and a ZipDee patio awning gives extra outdoor shade when you want it. Similarly, there’s an exterior shower option with both cold and hot water. Loaded with such features, it’s no wonder this is one of our favorite small travel trailers!

Barefoot Caravans

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

Barefoot Caravans is a special travel trailer because of the degree to which it can be customized. Designed in the United Kingdom, they will ship to the United States, and if customization is something you’re interested in, it may well be worth the extra fees. For instance, all of the following can be customized:

 • Bathroom walls
 • Kitchen walls
 • Curtains (which can be custom stitched based on your fabric preferences as well)
 • Seat upholstery (which comes in several different fabric or vinyl options)
 • The radio (a Roberts Revival DAB Mini Radio, for those interested in specifics)

Numerous colors are available for each of the above options; for most items, the colors available include duck egg blue, gray, lime green, navy blue, orange, and stone. Additionally, the curvy shape of the Barefoot Caravan makes it incredibly stylistic and modern, and this makes it additionally appealing for some buyers.

Additionally, the feature-laden design includes:

 • Eco-designed and environmentally friendly polycarbonate windows
 • Extra storage space in the form of cupboards and wardrobes
 • Roof lighting
 • Isotherm compressor fridge and a freezer
 • L-shaped seating that converts into a spacious bed

And then there’s the bathroom, which comes with a 30-liter onboard water tank and a Truma Combi hot water system that can run either via electric or gas hookups. Additionally the bathroom includes a Dometic cassette toilet, shower, wash basin, mirror, and cupboard space. Honestly, it’s a nice enough bathroom you may never want to leave!

Casita Travel Trailers Spirit Deluxe Trailer

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

A 17-foot trailer, the Casita Travel Trailers’ Spirit Deluxe Trailer comfortably fits three, making it a great fit for a small family. Not only can the dinette tables be converted into two sleeping areas, that versatility helps you make the most of the limited space. Built with Marine-grade fiberglass, this is the rare travel trailer you can use in any conditions or weather, including winter camping.

Additional nice touches include a 12-volt battery pack, 110-volt exterior outlet, exterior door light, connector hose so you can connect to city water (or campground water supplies), and even a freshwater tank you can lock for better hygiene.

And the bathroom is truly the star of this small travel trailer. Not only is it one of the largest areas of the camper, but the shower space and toilet are separated for optimum privacy, so you and a family member can use the bathroom at the same time. Just as nice, it comes with an industrial strength power fan roof vent and mesh screen windows so you can air out the bathroom as needed.

Storage space is also plentiful, with numerous overhead storage compartments, each of which are carpet-lined, available for stashing gear, equipment, or extra clothing.

Happier Camper HC1

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

Like other ultra-mini travel trailers, the HC1 doesn’t come with much. In fact, in order to get a bathroom, you need to order it with a couple of add-ons: the dry flush toilet and road shower, to be precise. But, and this is a big but: For travelers looking for something incredibly portable that can go nearly anywhere and who don’t need a ton of space because they’re minimalists to begin with? The Happier Camper HC1 is pretty much perfect.

Officially, it sleeps up to 5. Unofficially, you’d have to really, really, really like each other in order to sleep 5 in it; we think it’s best for a couple or a small family. Additionally, because it is only 11 feet long and only 1100 pounds dry weight, and comes with off-road friendly tires, it’s great for beach camping, dirt roads, and other backcountry expeditions, which is not something that can be said of very many travel trailers.

So is it ideal that you have to order the bathroom as an add-on? No. But if portability and minimalism are your goals, the HC1 is one of the best bets available. Simply order a dry flush toilet and road shower (and you’ll probably want a privacy/bathroom tent , too) and add on to what the HC1 already offers, which is substantial.

Among those features:

 • At only 1100 lbs dry weight, even many small cars can easily tow it;
 • The 100% double-hull insulated fiberglass shell is incredibly sturdy and, well, insulated;
 • The large rear hatch door makes it easy to load and unload supplies, as do the ample storage spaces scattered throughout the trailer;
 • Panoramic Jalousie windows are great for night skies and views;
 • Solar power is readily available, courtesy the contoured roof panel; and
 • It fits in a single parking space and in most garages.

A few more details:

 • Dry Weight: 1100 lbs
 • Length: 13’
 • Width: 6’11
 • Slide outs: 0

Click here for the full specs .

iCamp Elite

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

At only 14 feet in length and 6 feet 8 inches in height, the iCamp Elite is one of the very smallest travel trailers to include a built-in shower and toilet. In order to fit as much as it does in such a small space, some sacrifices had to be made, of course. For instance, the dinette converts into a bed, and vice-versa, so you can’t have the bed and dinette available to you at the same time. It does come with both an oven and a refrigerator, however, which is rare for such small trailers.

More quick info:

 • Dry Weight: 2890 lb
 • Length: 14’
 • Slideouts: 0

Jayco Jay Sport Trailer

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

Jayco is a great brand, and this Jay Sport Trailer is everything you could hope for from a small travel trailer. Updated in 2017, this camper trailer has all the amenities you could hope for in a larger camper, but without taking up so much space.

Compact and straightforward, with clean, simple lines, you’ll find it has everything you need, including:

 • 15-inch mud tires for if you desire off-roading
 • Stabilizer jacks, which especially come in handy when parking in soft or uneven areas
 • Double entry steps, which are also retractable should you so desire
 • Clean cabinets designed to maximize storage
 • Stainless steel stove which can be used indoors or out
 • An acrylic sink
 • Vinyl flooring
 • A vented roof (with mesh screening) for those hot summer nights or beautiful summer days
 • Bed mats that come with heating
 • Reversible cushions
 • Plush dinette
 • Propane lines
 • Stereo and TV capacity

And then there’s the bathroom itself, with a great six gallon water heater so you can even take hot showers. That’s definitely an exceptional feature for a trailer of this size!

Additionally, it’s set up so you can shower either inside or out (should you so choose) and includes a toilet and sink in the bathroom along with running water.

 • Dry Weight: 2,270 lbs
 • Length: 21’6 Opened (18’5 Travel Size)
 • Slideouts: 0 (But 2 Pop Outs!)
 • Click here for the full specs.

KZ Spree Escape Mini

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

An ultra lightweight travel trailer, the KZ Spree Escape Mini is highly customizable. For instance, it can be ordered in five different color schemes. (Check out their website for more details on each option.)

With that customization comes a range of bathroom options, from a very tight bathroom (in which the toilet and shower are pretty much right on top of each other) all the way up to a full bathroom in which the shower and toilet are much more partitioned.

Additionally, that range of custom options means you can find what works best for you. Some things are pretty consistent regardless of which option you go with, though: Upscale fiberglass exteriors, off-road package options, KZ’s exclusive Aqualon for EXP tent ends. You can expect power awnings, quality queen-sized beds, and a flip up entry step. Additionally, bunk ends are rated for up to 1,100 pounds, and the self-supporting cable system means no support poles with which to mess.

Other features worth considering:

 • Amish-crafted rustic maple cabinets
 • Cable hookup
 • Diamond plate rock guard
 • Digital TV antenna
 • LED interior lighting
 • Linoleum throughout
 • Overhead cabinets for extra storage
 • Rear bumper w/sewer hose storage
 • R-7 insulation
 • Self-adjusting electric brakes
 • Tinted windows
 • 12V converter w/charger
 • 6-gallon water heater
 • 2-Burner cooktop
 • 4 or 7 cubic foot refrigerator (depending on the options)

Quick Stats for an example model:

 • Weight: ~2,850 lbs
 • Length: 20’9
 • Slide outs: 1 (3 With tent bed models)

Lance 1575 Travel Trailer

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

Lance brand campers have a reputation befitting the fact that they’ve been building truck campers and travel trailers for more than 50 years now, and the 1575 more than lives up to that reputation. At less than 2,700 pounds, it’s hardly large, and yet it comes chock full of brilliant touches and features.

About those features? The 1575 includes all of the following and more:

 • An interior key hanger
 • Radius entry door
 • Wall backsplash accompanying the dinette
 • Spacious three-way double door refrigerator with space for up to 5 cubic feet of food
 • Wall thermostat temperature regulation
 • Shades and screens with all windows, which are Thermopane Euro with laminated fiberglass construction
 • Spare tire carrier
 • Three-burner range stainless steel stove
 • Lots of extra storage in compartment doors
 • Separate wastewater and freshwater systems

All those little touches add up to a trailer that feels homey, cozy, and comfortable from the very first moment you step inside. And that’s even before you get to the bathroom, which is one of the best for a trailer this size.

Not only does the bathroom have gorgeous dual pane skylights, making it a wonderful place to visit on a starry night, but the foot pedal-operated toilet’s heavy duty plastic construction makes it both easy to use and easy to clean, and the mirrored medicine cabinet makes it easy to store your toiletries as well.

Scamp 13’ Standard Trailer

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

Like the iCamp Elite, Scamp’s 13’ Standard Trailer is a brilliant little travel trailer, making the most of the space available. Coming in two layouts, only one of which includes a bathroom, the 13-foot travel trailer shows some real Minnesotan ingenuity, as the 13-foot bathroom-included version also includes a shower, beds that convert into tables, storage space in the seats, a gas stove with sink, multiple closets, and all sorts of proof that it uses space incredibly well. For instance, the 12-gallon water tank is designed for use with the bathroom (including the shower) and kitchen. Similarly, the Sani Potti toilet can be hooked up to gray water so there’s no risk of contaminating your other water. And other perks of the 13-foot Scamp Trailer include a stove cover, a microwave oven, a front porch light, vinyl flooring and fiberglass cabinets for easy cleaning, a substantially higher number of outlets and lights than many comparably-sized trailers, as well as roof-mounted air conditioning and heating.

Taxa Cricket Camper

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

We love this ultra-mini travel trailer. Only 15 feet and with a width of 6’11” it’s about the size of a full-size truck, and it’s dry weight of 1500 pounds means it’s easily towed. Like a few of the other smallest travel trailers on this list, it doesn’t come with a bathroom, but you can add-on an external shower and portable toilet. (If you choose to do so, we recommend this toilet and this bathroom tent .)

Unlike some of the other ultra-mini travel trailers we love, though, the Cricket Camper is expandable, with a pop-up tent that makes it much roomier when you set up camp. Additionally, it might be the most rugged and badass of all the ultra-mini travel trailers we’ve looked, designed to literally go anywhere you can pull it. And there is an add-on option for an external shower that can come with the camper if you opt to go that route.

Other fantastic features include the exterior storage. Not only are their bumper steps to which you can strap gear externally, there’s also a roof rack system and tongue mounted toolbox so you can take your outdoor playthings with you and make any necessary repairs easily and quickly. As durable as the Cricket Camper is, however, odds are you won’t need that toolbox. Still, having it so easily accessible is plenty nice. Like the Happy Camper HC1, the rear hatch makes loading easy, too.

A 32-inch by 20-inch picture window gives great panoramic views directly from the lounge. Additional storage under the bed is a nice plus, and a pop-up table provides easy lounging space while keeping the cabin from feeling cluttered. The kitchen offers a large counter with a covered sink and 6 large cubbies for prepping, cooking, and storage. The electrical system is top notch, too, with interior LED lighting throughout (including task lighting over the kitchen), Zamp solar inlets (which are pre-wired), and 120V inlets for shore power connection, enough for 3+ days off-grid. Additionally, a tow vehicle connection allows you to recharge the battery while you haul the trailer to your next campsite.

Taxa Mantis Trek Camper

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

The Cricket’s larger brother, we love the Mantis Trek for its backcountry and off-grid capabilities. At 19 feet, it’s a bit larger than the Cricket, but still fits in a standard length and height garage, as it folds down to a height of only 6 feet 10 inches. At that size and weight (just more than 3,000 pounds), it’s still quite easy to tow and store, and the NASA-inspired design, integrated electronics and plumbing, and off-grid capacities mean it’s ready for nearly any adventure you can dream up. Like the Cricket, it pops up when set up as your base camp, meaning you have far more room available to you than you might imagine.

The Mantis Trek is designed specifically with off-the-grid use in mind, and as such, is powered by 12-volt batteries and plumbed for propane. That propane allows for a two-burner stove and water heater, with an included Truma Combi furnace for year-round use. Freshwater tank capacity of 20 gallons and a graywater tank capacity of 22 gallons are both great for a travel trailer of this size, and a wet bath is included as a cassette toilet (4 gallon fresh water, 5 gallon waste).

The pop-up roof gives you both more room and increased ventilation, and the queen-sized bed comes with under bed storage. USB charging ports help you keep your gear charged, and the two 20-pound liquid propane tanks mean you can stay fueled up for cooking and hot water. Exterior features are designed with a rugged lifestyle in mind, including a powder-coated steel frame, front stabilizer jacks, powder-coated gravel guards, a spare wheel replete with all-terrain tire, 16 inches of clearance, torsion axle suspension, a solar pre-wired system, a crossbar-included roof rack system for strapping down your outdoor gear and toys, and a large 8 foot patio awning.

Inside the camper shell, nice touches include the birch wood kitchen, replete with plenty of extra storage, LED interior lights (including a reading light), a Dometic 12V 65-liter fridge and freezer combo, a mesh side screen door for increased ventilation, room divider curtains, and more—including the option to switch up your power sources.

The Mantis Trek is designed to run on multiple power schemes. Not only can it run off of two 12-volt deep cycle batteries, it can also run off shore power with a 110-volt converter or a solar system if set up in that way, and the additional propane plumbing is a nice touch, too, as are the electric brakes, single axle, and independent suspension system.

Fresh water capacity is 20 gallons, with a 22-gallon gray water tank and wet bath inside. Also included is a cassette toilet.

United Recreational Vehicles iCamp Elite

travel trailers for sale with 2 bathrooms

The iCamp Elite is one of the smallest travel trailers on this list, and while it’s short on space, its diminutive size is not short on features. Heavy-duty aluminum tubing, industrial strength styrofoam, and high-gloss fiberglass construction makes this trailer incredibly hardy, and it is one of the few that handles just as well in terrible conditions. It’s also incredibly stylish and sporty.

About that size: If you’re a big person, or need a lot of space, this probably isn’t the travel trailer for you. Ceilings, for instance, top out at five feet eleven inches, and furniture is rounded to fit in tight spaces. If you’re claustrophobic, this isn’t the camper for you.

That lack of space, however, is accounted for by a feature-laden design, in addition to the obvious pluses of reducing your drag (and correspondingly, your fuel usage) compared to more traditionally-sized travel trailers.

Other features include the simple easy of towing such a small trailer, the glossy painted furniture, sweet wallpaper, and an iPod connection for better tunes. And the bathroom itself is one of the larger parts of the trailer, replete with toilet and shower. So if you aren’t claustrophobic, and are looking for easy towing options, look no further. The iCamp Elite is one of the best truly small travel trailers we’ve seen that also includes a bathroom.

A few final tips when looking at small travel trailers

Rent first if at all possible.

It can be hard to know what you want until you’ve spent some time RVing, and that’s especially true if you’re weighing multiple different options. It could entirely be the case that you know you want a small travel trailer with a bathroom but not much more than that, and the list above is lots of information, sure, but that information isn’t the same as experience.

As a result, if you’re considering buying one of the travel trailers above, we strongly recommend you consider trying to rent one if not exactly the same then similar to what you want so that you can try it for a trip or two first. Even the most affordable of small travel trailers are not exactly cheap, and you don’t want to be saddled with an expensive new toy only to find out it’s not actually what you want.

And there are plenty of sites out there that can help you find camping gear, including small travel trailers, to rent. Outdoorsy is one of our favorites.

Ask questions

Similarly, there may be camping groups in your area with which you can connect. Ask questions of members and you may well meet some new friends who will let you try their equipment as you get a sense for what you yourself want from a travel trailer. You may decide you want something bigger than the options listed here—or you may find that something even smaller may work for you. Develop your own camping experiences and let those experiences dictate what you need, and as questions arise, make friends that can help you answer those questions.

The RVing and camping communities are often quite helpful, and as you develop more friends, you’ll be surprised at how much knowledge and wisdom you can pick up in a short period of time simply by being willing to ask good questions.

There are many benefits to purchasing a travel trailer with two doors, no matter your lifestyle or RV needs. You may be searching for a travel trailer with two doors for a specific reason, or perhaps you like the idea of it.

Regardless of your motivations, there are plenty of things to consider before you begin your search for a travel trailer with two doors or multiple access points. But what might those considerations be, and what are some reliable brand names that offer travel trailers with two doors?

In this article, we will address everything you need to know about purchasing a travel trailer with two doors on board, including some of the pros and cons. We will go over some considerations for you to think about before purchasing anything, and we’ll even give you a list of some of the most unique and reliable RV options that have two doors. Let’s get started now!

Only interested in checking out our comprehensive list of some of the newest travel trailers with two doors currently on the market? Use our table of contents to navigate to this list now.

Travel Trailers with Two Doors: Pros and Cons

Before you start shopping for a travel trailer that has two doors, you should address all of the pros and cons of these types of RVs. Here are some considerations and things to think about when it comes to having a travel trailer with two doors, both positive and negative:

 • Pro: easier access. If you are traveling with a large group of people, it can be difficult to spend time in an RV with only one door. You’ll have easier access, both indoors and out, with two doors, and you and your guests will likely notice the freedom that entails.
 • Con: doors are heavy. While it may be subtle, having an extra door on board your travel trailer can add additional weight to your rig. This isn’t always the case, but the weight of your travel trailer should always be something that is on your mind, and an extra door can add extra pounds.
 • Pro: potentially great for kids and pets. If you are traveling with animals and children, you may enjoy having a second door so that they have access to the outside world. This is especially true if you want to keep one-half of the RV quiet or calm, leaving the other half free for the kids and pets to enjoy. This way, they have their own access point and they don’t need to bother the adults on board. Plus, if you have pets with muddy paws , isolating them to one end of the travel trailer helps keep the rest of it clean!
 • Con: potentially bad for kids and pets. On the flip side, if you have potentially mischievous pets and children, having another door on board your RV means that they have access to the outside, potentially without you knowing. You may find that an extra door on your travel trailer means more trouble after all!
 • Pro: safety first. If there was ever a fire or other emergency on board your RV, having a secondary door so that you can easily escape is something that may bring you peace of mind. There are very few access points on board the average travel trailer, so two doors may be appealing to you.
 • Con: space is at a premium already. Even though most RV doors open outward, you still need extra space for an additional door on board a travel trailer. This means that you may end up sacrificing storage space or other helpful room additions or amenities should you opt for a second-door floor plan.

What to Consider in a Travel Trailer with Two Doors

From budgets to layout, there are a number of things to consider in a travel trailer with two doors. But what might some of those considerations be, and how can you best prioritize your needs and wants? Let’s take a look at what you should consider now.

Length and Weight

Since travel trailers are built to be towed by a vehicle, you need to consider how long and how heavy a travel trailer you can handle. This is typically dictated by the towing capacity of your vehicle that you already own unless you plan on purchasing a truck or SUV alongside your RV.

The longer and heavier the travel trailer, the more difficult it is to drive while on the road. You may feel safer in a smaller RV, but this may mean that you don’t have the amount of space that you were expecting. If you stick with something larger, make sure that you have a tow vehicle that can handle it!

There is no set average length or weight when it comes to finding a travel trailer with two doors. However, they tend to be longer than 20 feet long and vary in weight. Thankfully, there are lightweight options available for just about any RV nowadays, but just make sure you choose a brand that is reliable and well-built.

Layout and Floor Plan

When it comes to choosing a travel trailer with two doors, you need to make sure that these doors work well with a particular layout or floor plan that suits your lifestyle. Having two doors is a luxury and convenience, but if they don’t work with the interior floor plan, what is the point of having them?

For example, some RV manufacturers install a secondary door that leads directly into a bathroom or a bedroom, giving more privacy to that area. This also allows you to isolate or maintain an area without affecting the rest of the RV. This is ideal for those of you with children, pets, or even full-timers that might be on a different schedule from one another.

However, is that the sort of layout that you are hoping for? Or do you want your secondary door to be accessed at all times by everyone? Finding a travel trailer with two doors is easy and common enough, but finding a layout that works for your lifestyle where the doors make the most sense may take some extra searching!

Number of Slide-Outs

If you are worried about how much space there is on board your RV, you may want to consider a travel trailer with multiple slide-outs . Slide-outs are an easy way to add space once you reach camp, as they extend when you are fully parked and ready to enjoy your RV.

This is the easiest way to add square footage and interior living space, especially if you need room for two doors on board your travel trailer. However, slide-outs require some level of knowledge and care before operating and you may find that their maintenance is another factor to greatly consider.

Depending on your expectations and what you are looking for, having a travel trailer with only a single slide-out may suit you well. However, if you are seeking a large rig that sleeps everyone, you may end up with more than one slide-out and more than one slide-out to maintain! Keep this in mind as you shop, as many travel trailers with two doors have multiple slide-outs on board.

Sleeping Arrangements

Alongside your overall layout and floor plan, you should find a travel trailer with an adequate number of sleeping arrangements for your guests. While you may not always be able to anticipate how many people you will need to sleep on board your RV, having a general idea of your guests before you shop is a good idea.

Your sleeping arrangements will also greatly affect the location of your two doors and the overall layout of your RV. There are bunkhouse floor plans that are extremely popular with travel trailers, and your secondary door often leads directly into this bunkhouse suite. This means that your kids or guests will have their own entrance and exit, but this isn’t always how travel trailers are set up.

Given just how many options there are on the market today, you’ll be able to find a travel trailer that sleeps everyone. It may take some extra searching, but there’s definitely something out there for you! A travel trailer with two doors will likely sleep anywhere from 4 to 12 people, depending on the length and floor plan.

Luxurious Amenities

Depending on the brand or model of RV that you choose, you may consider purchasing a travel trailer with numerous luxurious amenities. These amenities can be added on after your initial purchase price or are occasionally included in the cost of your RV. Some popular luxury amenities onboard travel trailers include:

 • Multiple air conditioners
 • Upgraded cabinets, upholstery, and flooring
 • High tech monitoring and entertainment centers
 • Electric fireplaces
 • On-demand hot water
 • Exterior entertainment centers and speakers
 • Power awnings and other automated features
 • Leveling systems and automatic jack stands

While all of these things may appeal to you and or perhaps on your list of must-haves, keep in mind that all of these things have a price. Depending on your budget, a luxurious travel trailer may not be affordable when fully loaded. This is especially true if you only plan on using your RV occasionally; that money could be used on travel expenses instead!

Boondocking Amenities

Depending on the size of the RV that you end up purchasing, you may consider an option that has boondocking amenities on board. Also known as dry camping or camping off-grid, boondocking is the act of camping in a location that does not offer traditional RV hookups or utilities.

Purchasing a travel trailer with two doors may or may not mean that you have boondocking amenities included standard . The larger the travel trailer, the less likely you are to boondock, typically given the overall size of your trailer. It’s much more difficult to navigate a large travel trailer in some more remote locations that are popular among boondocking enthusiasts.

However, all RVs are built to be disconnected from campgrounds or RV park utilities, just for varying lengths of time. You may want an RV that can be disconnected for only a weekend, or perhaps you are seeking an option that can be off the grid for over a week.

Regardless of what you are looking for, just keep in mind that larger RVs are more difficult to boondock in compared to smaller ones!

A final consideration and perhaps one of the most obvious ones has to be your budget. Knowing how much you can feasibly spend on a travel trailer with two doors will narrow the list considerably, especially if you don’t want to spend too much.

Thankfully, there are enough travel trailers on the market today that have two doors, all at various price points and budgets. You can easily find something to suit your budget, especially when you consider the fact that travel trailers are among some of the most affordable RVs manufactured currently.

You can spend anywhere from $20k to well over $80k on a travel trailer, depending on its size and amenities. Finding an RV with two doors is easy. However, finding an RV with two doors that also suits your budget and everything on your wishlist may take more time to find!

Now that you know all of the pros, cons, and considerations surrounding a travel trailer purchase that has two doors, it’s time to check out our comprehensive list of options. Let’s get started!

Overall Winner: Keystone Cougar Half-Ton

 • Loads of two-door floor plans
 • Beautiful interior design
 • Luxurious features included standard
 • Higher than the average purchase price

Extremely popular for a number of reasons, the Cougar Half-Ton travel trailer by Keystone takes our top overall spot. While it isn’t the most budget-friendly option on this list, it has everything you want out of an RV with two doors, including over 20 different floor plans to choose from! Let’s check it out in more detail now.

Starting at $46k, the Cougar Half-Ton offers multiple floor plans with two doors. In fact, it offers nearly a dozen options depending on local dealership stock! The two-door options range in length from 28 feet to 36 feet and weigh roughly 6,000-8,000 pounds, depending.

The Cougar has plenty of amenities to choose from as well as plenty that come included as standard features. Some of the amenities that you can expect from a two-door Cougar travel trailer include electric fireplaces, on-demand hot water, upgraded flooring, and large automatic awnings . These awnings typically cover both entrances as well, keeping you dry no matter which door you choose!

The interior design of the Cougar is light, bright, and contemporary, giving you plenty of design features that help you feel right at home. The kitchen in particular comes fully equipped with marble countertops and a full cooktop with an oven onboard . You can upgrade your refrigerator for even more space, or you can choose a floor plan with an outdoor kitchen too!

There are also king beds in just about every single two-door floorplan, giving you plenty of space to stretch out. With multiple bunk beds, you can sleep up to a dozen guests inside the Cougar, depending on the floor plan you choose. Plus, the living area has theatre seating as a standard feature, with heated and massaging seats.

No matter what length or floor plan you choose, Keystone has solar and additional boondocking features included in the standard purchase price as well. The ability to boondock in one of these travel trailers is easier than ever, making it a great choice for full-timers, weekend warriors, and families alike!

Best Built: Lance Travel Trailers

 • Well-made with sturdy materials
 • Boondocking and four-season camping is easy
 • A few different two-door layouts to choose from
 • May not be available in your area

While not every model has two doors, there are multiple options from Lance travel trailers available. This particular brand is well-known for being reliable, well-built, and intricately designed , setting it apart from the majority of other travel trailers on the market today. While Lance travel trailers may cost a bit more than average, it’s definitely a brand name to consider!

Depending on the floor plan you choose, you can sleep up to 8 people inside a Lance travel trailer. These RVs are smaller than average, with the largest option being just over 30 feet long. If you are planning on sleeping a large group of people on your camping trips, you may want to find another option.

However, Lance travel trailers still offer multiple bunk bed floor plan options and multiple choices with two doors. The best floor plans have a door that enters into the master suite as well as a door that opens onto the primary living space. Lance set up its RVs with spacious living areas and conveniently located bathrooms, much like a residential home.

Speaking of residential homes, most Lance travel trailers come fully loaded with spacious kitchens, bathrooms, and bedrooms. You can find walk-around king-size beds and plenty of counter space if you are an avid chef. Plus, the interior design of a Lance is attractive enough to make you want to stay indoors even when the outdoors beckon!

While boondocking features don’t necessarily come standard on board a Lance travel trailer, you can easily add solar panels and other features to support this. All Lance travel trailers are built for four-season camping, with tank heaters and fantastic insulation to keep you comfortable no matter the season.

Currently only available on the west coast, Lance travel trailers are expanding to the Midwest on the East Coast with additional warehouse facilities being built. However, this may mean that purchasing a Lance is more difficult for you depending on your location. This is definitely something to consider, but these RVs are truly well-built!

Lightest Weight: Coachmen Apex Ultra-Lite

 • Lightweight when you consider the overall lengths
 • Plenty of amenities to choose from so you can make it your own
 • Made of Azdel for durable, long-lasting foundations
 • Interior design may not be what you are looking for

Winning RV Pro’s best new model award in 2022, the Apex Ultra-Lite by Coachmen is a great choice if you need to keep your weight limits in mind. While there are only three available floor plans with two doors, they all weigh 6,000 pounds or less, making them easy to tow without sacrificing square footage. Let’s take a closer look.

With the largest two-door floor plan stopping at 34 feet long , you should have plenty of space for the entire family. In fact, you can sleep nearly ten people onboard the Apex, with double bunk beds and convertible dining areas. Most options only have a single slide-out as well, giving you less to set up and maintain.

In terms of included amenities and features, you can choose from a number of attractive options. Some of these include theatre seating, tinted frameless windows, an additional air conditioner with a ducted furnace, and a larger fridge. While this won’t be included in your standard purchase price, Coachmen makes sure you have all the options you may want.

In terms of interior design, it is easy to clean and maintain, though it may be lacking when it comes to personal style. However, you have durable flooring and plenty of storage throughout the rig, including unbed storage and exterior basement storage as well.

You have an outdoor shower and entertainment center on some models, with awnings and additional amenities. Plus, the entire rig is made of Azdel, an incredibly popular product for its lightweight consistency and moisture resistance, making this rig likely one that will last generations.

With outdoor kitchens and entertainment centers available on many floor plans, you’ll make good use of both of your travel trailer doors by going outside frequently! While this rig may not be the most budget-friendly option on this list, you can rest easy knowing that its lightweight form makes it easier to tow than the average rig.

Most Square Footage: Forest River Grey Wolf

 • Tons of models offer plenty of choices
 • Bunkhouse options mean you can bring the whole family
 • Layouts are convenient and make use of the second door
 • May not have the look or features that you want

The Grey Wolf from Forest River is a great option for those of you seeking plenty of space for the whole family, but also potentially space for your recreational vehicles too. This particular travel trailer model has standard travel trailer options as well as toy hauler options, giving you plenty of floor plans to choose from. Let’s check out all that it has to offer now.

There are countless floor plans for the Grey Wolf, across their travel trailer models, toy hauler models , and they even offer a unique fish house model. However, not every single floor plan has two doors, so sorting through your options from the beginning is a good idea.

This particular travel trailer maximizes your interior square footage by giving you plenty of exterior storage compartments. No matter what size you choose, Forest River understands and prioritizes your ability to store cargo and bring everything you want with you. This is especially true for the larger model travel trailers that are built particularly for families or large groups.

You have a few different interior design options to choose from, depending on how dark you want your interior to be. The overall finishes are not particularly stunning, but they are durable and they get the job done. This rig is built for the outdoors, so you should expect long-lasting materials over attractive and luxurious ones.

This isn’t to say that this two-door travel trailer isn’t luxurious. In fact, some models offer you an electric fireplace, a large bathtub, multiple air conditioners, and more. While you may need to add these features as an additional purchase, Forest River offers you as much luxury as you want.

There are multiple bunkhouse options to choose from if you plan on camping with kids or other adults. There are also plenty of floor plans that have the second door opening into a bathroom or bedroom. This gives you exclusive access to this particular part of the RV, especially if you need to clean any muddy paws or boots in the bathroom before entering the rest of the trailer.

However, the Gray Wolf may simply be lacking in features if you are seeking something high-tech and ready for boondocking. Make sure it can offer you everything you are looking for before falling in love!

Budget-Friendly: KZ RV Sportsmen SE

 • Large enough so that you can bring the whole family
 • Lightweight and easy to tow design
 • Built for four-season camping and extremely comfortable inside
 • Not very many layouts with two doors

While our previous option did have a fairly budget-friendly price tag, the KZ RV Sportsmen SE is a great choice for those of you that have to stick it to a particular budget. These RVs are budget-friendly and have plenty of options with two doors so that you can find a way out that works well for your lifestyle. Let’s take a closer look.

Ranging in length from 30 feet to 37 feet, the Sportsmen SE offers plenty of options with multiple doors and entrances. This RV is lightweight overall, especially when you consider the overall length of these rigs. Plus, there are plenty of family-friendly floor plans as well as options that are ideal for full-timing.

There are plenty of features to appreciate inside this particular travel trailer. You have convertible furniture and a spacious bathroom on every single floor plan. Plus, the Sportsmen SE was designed with additional insulation and air circulation to create a quiet, cool location to relax in at the end of a long day.

You also have additional amenities that you can consider adding to your initial purchase price. KZ RV offers a great solar package as well as other boondocking features that you may want to add, depending on how large your RV is. It will also depend on how often you plan on using your RV, but the good news is that all available floor plans of the Sportsmen SE are built for four-season camping .

From the large storage capacity to the fair price point, there’s a lot that this travel trailer has to offer. You even have contemporary and comfortable interior design options to choose from, all of which are easy to clean and maintain. However, just make sure that there’s a floor plan that works well for you, as there aren’t very many options with two doors.

Ideal for Families: Coachmen Freedom Express Select

 • Bunkhouse floor plans are perfect for families
 • Two-door layouts are convenient and easily accessible
 • Outdoor kitchen gives you more space to cook
 • Doesn’t have very many bells and whistles overall

While most of these options on this list give you plenty of choices that are ideal for families, the Coachmen Freedom Express Select is another great option as well. While there are only two available floor plans that consist of a two-door layout, these options are ideal for families considering that they are bunkhouse options. Let’s take a closer look at them now.

Comparing the two available floor plans side by side, the first option consists of an entrance into the primary living space and the other entrance into a designated bathroom. This bathroom is closely connected to the bunkhouse suite, with 4 twin bunk beds so that you can sleep the whole family.

The other floor plan option with two doors has an entrance into the main living area and an entrance into the master suite. Depending on which you prefer, you can have bunk beds with closer door access or you can have access to the outside from the master suite. It all depends on what you are looking for, but either option is a great choice for families.

The interior design is simple and clean, with plenty of storage both inside and out. You should have no trouble bringing along everything that you and your entire family need, as some of these floor plans can sleep up to 10 people on board. With exterior pass-through storage compartments, it’s easy to bring all the gear you may need.

There’s also an exterior kitchen and entertainment center option on some floor plans, giving you more space if the interior gets a bit crowded. There are plenty of features included in the standard purchase price, which is also budget-friendly given that Coachmen tends to prioritize this for their customers.

This is a solid rig if it’s your first RV or you perhaps have a potentially rowdy group of kiddos and pets coming along for the ride. However, it doesn’t necessarily have much to offer in terms of design or amenities. If you are looking for something with a bit more bells and whistles, you may want to look elsewhere.

Full-Time Living Option: Heartland Sundance Ultra-Lite

 • Easy to clean and maintain with few slide-outs
 • Multiple floor plans with two separate entrances
 • Attractive and residential interior design
 • Does not offer washer and dryer preparation

Starting at $45k, the Sundance Ultra-Lite from Heartland isn’t the most affordable option on this list. However, it maintains a sense of openness and luxury inside that makes it ideal for full-time living . Plus, there are nearly 10 different floor plans with two-door entrances, giving you plenty to choose from. Let’s take a look at what makes this rig special now.

The interior design of this particular RV is one of the main reasons why it’s our top pick for full-time living. The durable flooring and furniture included in your RV are attractive, contemporary, and practical. The layouts are also thoughtful and built for a more residential feel, which also assists with full-time living.

You can get this travel trailer in multiple lengths, but the two-door floor plans range anywhere from 28 feet to 36 feet. Each and every single model is lightweight and durable, built from Azdel and other materials. These help keep the RV resistant to moisture and decay as well as give it a lightweight frame that you can easily tow with the average half-ton vehicle.

Many floor plans offer kitchen islands as well as outdoor kitchens . You have spacious bathroom floor plans as well as comfortable bunkhouse options. No matter what you are looking for, you’re likely to find it in the Sundance, but just make sure that the floor plan you are hoping for also includes two doors!

The only primary drawback to choosing this RV for full-time living is the fact that it does not offer washer and dryer prep . However, the simplicity of this RV and everything that is included in it makes it ideal otherwise. You just might have to visit the laundromat every now and then!

Toy Hauler Option: Forest River Work and Play

 • Cargo carrying capacity of nearly 4,000 lb
 • Attractive features included standard
 • Easy to operate ramp and interior toy hauler storage
 • Only one available floor plan that has two doors

While the Grey Wolf offers a variety of toy hauler models, the Work and Play (also by Forest River) has even more to offer. Keep in mind that this particular toy hauler only offers one available floor plan with two separate entrances, so just know that your options are limited. Let’s check out everything that’s included with this RV now.

Reaching just over 36 feet long, the Work and Play floor plan with two doors offers an elaborate setup so that you can fit as much gear inside as possible. In fact, it has an overall cargo-carrying capacity of nearly 4,000 pounds, making it ideal for multiple recreational toys such as kayaks, bicycles , ATVs, and more.

No matter which floor plan you choose, you technically always have two doors given the fact that every option has a rear ramp so that you can easily load your gear. The furniture designed inside of this particular travel trailer is built to collapse and otherwise move out of the way so that you can store as much as you want while on the road.

If there isn’t enough storage inside while you travel, then perhaps there will be enough using the pass-through exterior storage compartments. Once you reach camp, the interior of your RV is easily converted into a comfortable living space, with plenty of sleeping arrangements for the whole family.

However, just like all toy haulers, the interior living always feels a bit lacking and bland, given the fact that you do need so much space for your recreation vehicles. If you don’t plan on bringing along an ATV or other outdoor toy, you should consider another option that better suits your needs.

Convenient Layout: Jayco Jay Feather

 • Multiple layouts with two doors and convenient design
 • Thoughtful interior makes you feel right at home
 • Plenty of room to sleep the whole family or up to 9 people
 • May be heavier than the average travel trailer on this list

Sleeping up to 9 people depending on the floor plan you choose, the Jayco Jay Feather is another great choice when it comes to finding a travel trailer with two doors. While there are only two to three available floor plans that have this style of entrance, they are convenient and well laid out for just about any lifestyle. Let’s check it out in more detail.

There’s something to be said about the Jayco brand name, and I highly recommend reading our entire review of them here . They put special touches into each and every one of their RVs, and Jay Feather is no exception. This travel trailer is exceedingly popular for a variety of reasons, given its fair price point and accessibility for both families and couples.

Some floor plans have bunk beds, others have spacious master suites. No matter what, you can expect the interior design to be spot-on and contemporary, with plenty of residential comforts to remind you that you’re not far from home. There are even bunkhouse bedrooms with sofa beds beneath so that the kiddos can be comfortable even when they aren’t sleeping.

It’s easy to spend time inside a Jayco travel trailer given its unique interior design and thoughtful planning. The refrigerator is residential-sized so that you can feed the whole family, and there are even exterior kitchens in case you run out of room indoors. Plus, all of the furnishings are durable and easy to clean so packing up and storing your RV is easy.

However, depending on which floor plan you choose, it may be a bit heavy for the average tow vehicle. The largest floor plan weighs over 7000 pounds , so keep this in mind and make sure that you never purchase an RV that is too heavy for your tow vehicle!

Final Thoughts

Whether you want something for the entire family or simply a more accessible travel trailer for yourself and your dog, finding a travel trailer with two doors should be easy using our expert guide. Enjoy hunting for an option that suits your lifestyle and needs, and happy camping!

We’ve been living in a Sprinter van for the past two years – the same chassis where many companies build out their smallest RVs with a shower and toilet. Since we did a DIY van, we opted NOT to have a bathroom in our van.

However, I just spent a month traveling Europe in a variety of small RVs with bathrooms, and it WAS nice to have that hot shower and place to pee inside my rig. We refrained from going #2, though, as that can be gross to dump when you have a cassette toilet.

For the non-squeamish, a small RV with a shower and toilet can have a lot of benefits and is the ONLY way many people will travel, especially full-time.

With that in mind, here are some of our top picks!

This smallest RV with shower and toilet covers all your basic needs but also provides you with features such as seat belts for four and a roomy lounge area. You can do day trips with your friends, cook lunch on the beach and take your entire family camping.

We love that this campervan with a bathroom is 4WD so you can go almost anywhere.

The bed has push-button control and flattens out to a large 66″ x 73″. You’ll also enjoy hot water, an LED widescreen TV and spacious, versatile bathroom. The wet bath in this smallest Class B RV with shower and toilet also includes a sink, built-in shampoo, conditioner and body wash stations. It also features a full kitchen with a sink, an induction cooktop and a fridge. Behind the front seats, there’s a bench with seatbelts and a swivel table. The comfy double bed is on a power lift system, so you can easily access the storage area under it.

The Revel has a 3.0 liter, 6-cylinder turbo-diesel engine and a 7G-Tronic automatic transmission, so it can effortlessly cruise challenging mountain terrain.

2. Winnebago Revel

If you want a small trailer with toilet and shower you can stow away in the garage when you’re not adventuring, the Scamp Deluxe is perfect.

There are three floorplans. 7. 13′ Scamp Deluxe

The 13′ Scamp Deluxe weighs less than 2,000 pounds, so you can tow it with almost any car and it’s very fuel-efficient.

The iCamp Elite camper is a super lightweight (1,337lbs) and compact trailer. It’s the perfect vehicle to quickly prep and hitch to your car for a weekend or holiday adventure. The teardrop shape allows you to store bikes on the front, above the hitch.

There’s only one floorplan, but you can choose between an orange or blue package. Inside, there are a kitchen with a sink and stove, a wet bath, and a dinette that turns into a double bed. Every space is small but workable. It’s the price to pay for having a tiny trailer with all the comforts.

Even though it’s extra light, the iCamp Elite is well built. The steel frame is overlayed with a laminated structure foam body and finished with a gel coat of high-gloss fiberglass exterior skin. No wonder it’s so shiny.

Airstream’s Basecamp micro campers are the perfect fit for those willing to spend a little more on a camping trailer that, to be quite honest, is likely to outlast all the others on our list. Airstream’s reputation for build quality is well-earned, and its designs are some of the most durable on the market today.

With the Basecamp – and the REI Special Edition – they’ve entered the world of micro campers in style. Both Basecamp floorplans boast a ducted furnace system and an optional air conditioner with a heat strip for interior climate control.

They also feature versatile seating/lounging and sleeping areas, with a 76” x 76” bed that can be converted to a 38” x 76” bed or a 24” x 76” bench seat. Other optional upgrades include a solar energy system, a 0.7-cubic-foot microwave, and lithium batteries (available only with a solar upgrade).

9. Airstream Basecamp

When you picture a trailer, you instantly think of the iconic Airstream .

The Basecamp smallest RV with toilet and shower merges the classic Airstream aluminum shiny look with a more modern shape. The front is very similar to that of those old-school trailers you’re used to seeing on the NASA launchpad. From the back, it almost resembles a tiny spaceship. We can see what Airstream did there.

The interior is very contemporary and all the furniture follows and complements the rounded shapes of the exterior. You can choose between 4 floorplans – 2 at 16′ long and 2 at 20′ long. The layouts are very similar. They all feature a dinette that turns into a bed, a small kitchen, and a wet bath. The bigger models have an extra dinette in the front, which means they can sleep 4 people.

Among the options, there’s a two-room tent attachment, which gives you the option to camp with more people.

As you’d expect, Airstreams don’t come cheap. However, going for a smaller trailer will save you a decent amount of money.

Originally designed for off-road racers (and those supporting them), the Platform Camper from Go Fast Campers is arguably the lightest and cheapest truck camper you’ll find on the market today. It’s perfect for rugged adventurers and those seeking true solitude at off-grid destinations that many others wouldn’t even attempt to reach.

Like many of these cheap truck campers, you’ll have the freedom to customize your ideal unit with Go Fast Campers. That starts with choosing the standard 90” x 50” sleeping area or upgrading to the XL 90” x 56” area. It continues with options to include automotive front and rear windows, side tent doors, and more.

8 Must-See Cheap Truck Campers for Thrifty Explorers

For those interested in getting into truck camping on a budget, starting your search with the best cheap truck campers is natural. I started my truck camping journey by installing a camper shell on a Tacoma and sleeping in the bed, but I couldn’t help but feel a little envy every time I passed a true truck camper on the road.

The Roadtrek Pivot Slumber is a camper van built on the Ram Promaster Chassis with a sleek interior look. The Duo Space bathroom has a pivoting wall that creates a shower room and keeps the rest of the bathroom dry. We love this clever idea!

The dining table hides a swivel extension, so you can make it bigger at meal times or when you need to work on the go. Handy.

The pop top means you can sleep four people in this luxury campervan.
