Having two bathrooms is also great for large families! The main benefits of having two bathrooms include more privacy, you have a backup, and it is more conducive to group travel. 

Being on the road can take a toll on any group, no matter how tight-knit they may be.

So, having that extra space during our ritualistic morning and evening routines can be beneficial. 

It also gives you an additional bathroom when someone is in the shower.

This is especially important with young kids! If someone is using the shower and taking too long, it can be hard for them to wait. 

Along with that idea, you also have some extra privacy. Maybe it is just you and your spouse traveling together, but you like extra space.

You can each claim one bathroom and make it your own. That way, no one is taking up too much counter space or taking too long in the bathroom while the other one waits their turn. 

With two bathrooms, you also have a backup in case something breaks or malfunctions.

It can be stressful to try and fix things on the fly, and you can’t always repair them yourself. 

So, if you’re in a remote location, you would usually have to head into town to get things fixed up.

If you have two bathrooms, you may be able to wait it out until you’ve finished your stay.

Are There Downsides to Two Bathrooms in an RV?

You will have to make a compromise on space with an additional bathroom in another area of the living space.

This could impact the bedroom or living room in most cases. However, if the privacy factor or if you travel in large groups, the removed space in the living area may be worth it for the convenience of two restrooms. 

Although an extra bathroom may be great for a backup at times, you still should factor in the fact of additional maintenance.

After all, you now have two bathrooms instead of one! On top of that, you should expect to have a larger black tank and more frequent dumps. 

Despite those few cons, the additional bathroom in RVs has become widely popular.

The convenience of an extra bathroom makes it worth it for most RV travelers.

Two Full Bathrooms or Bath and a Half?

Another consideration that was not explicitly discussed earlier in this article is how to decide between two full baths of a full and a half.

The main thing to consider here is how many people you’ll be traveling with and the general intent behind having two bathrooms. 

If you have a large family or large group of friends going somewhere for an extended time, having two full baths may be the best option.

This is especially true if you will be hooked up at an RV park. If you have immediate access to a water source and aren’t using tanks, two showers won’t be an issue. 

On the other hand, if you are only planning to use the extra bathroom as a backup if someone is in the shower, then a half bath should suffice.

NEW Travel Trailers with Two Queen Bedrooms

The following travel trailers with two queen bedrooms are current year models that can be purchased new from dealerships.

Airstream Flying Cloud 30FB Bunk

Airstream makes some of the most aesthetically pleasing and functional travel trailers on the market. Their 30-foot long Flying Cloud 30FB Bunk floorplan is the perfect choices for families traveling with two to three children.

A front queen bedroom offers plenty of space and storage for an adult couple. In the rear of the RV, beside the bathroom, a bunkroom offers a bottom queen size bed and a single top bunk.

Both of the queen bedrooms in the travel trailer are enclosed by curtains, so there is visual privacy but no sound-proofing. The Flying Cloud also offers a similar model with a separate office space instead of a second bedroom.

Coachman Catalina 343BHTS

The Coachman Catalina 343BHTS travel trailer has two full-size, private queen bedrooms. The main bedroom is in the front of the trailer and includes a large closet with washer and dryer preps.

The second queen bedroom, located in the rear of the trailer, is also spacious with a walk-around bed and wardrobe. The corner kitchen, bathroom and living area are between the two bedrooms.

At 38 feet long, the Catalina double queen trailer has plenty of room for four adults to travel together.

Crossroads Zinger ZR390DB

If you are looking for a huge travel trailer with sleeping space for four adults, the Crossroads Zinger ZR390DB is the answer. It has two full bedroom suites, each with their own bathroom. It is also huge, at almost 43 feet long!

The main bedroom in the front of the RV has a king bed, a large closet and washer and dryer preps. This front bedroom is connected to a dual entry bathroom. In the back of the RV is a guest suite with a queen bed and a large bathroom that extends the full width of the trailer.

Forest River Grey Wolf 29QB

Significantly shorter than the Zinger trailer, the 29-foot long Forest River Grey Wolf 29QB also offers two queen bedrooms. Despite its small size, this travel trailer is loaded with features.

The main bedroom offers a walk-around queen bed with direct entry into the bathroom. The secondary bedroom, in the rear of the trailer, has limited floor space but is enclosed with a real door for total privacy. The Grey Wolf also offers a double entry with direct access to the bathroom from outside.

Forest River Wildwood 29VBUD

For RV campers looking to maximize sleeping capacity, the Forest River Wildwood 29VBUD is the perfect choice. The 36-foot long travel trailer features a king bed in the main bedroom and a secondary bedroom with sleeping space for four.

The rear bedroom has a queen bed on the bottom, as well as, two single upper bunks. It is the perfect configuration for three generations to travel together! The travel trailer also features a walk-in pantry and an outdoor kitchen.

Keystone Hideout 38FQTS

At just under 40 feet, the Keystone Hideout 38FQTS is the one of the largest RVs on our list of travel trailers with two queen bedrooms. For traveling couples who are looking for equal sleeping spaces, the Hideout offers two similarly-sized bedrooms.

The front bedroom has more closest space and direct access to the full bathroom, but the rear bedroom has a separate entry and a connected half-bath. As an added bonus, Keystone has started offering white cabinets and modern interiors in its Hideout trailers.

Palomino Unleashed 29TH

The only toy hauler on our list of new travel trailers with two queen bedrooms, the 37.5-foot long Palomino Unleashed 29TH utilizes the garage as a second bedroom.

The optional queen bed in the cargo area has an electric lift, so the bed can be raised when you are traveling with more toys than guests. A full bathroom separates the back bedroom / garage from the main living area.

In the main living area, campers will enjoy a full kitchen with a pantry and a large dinette. The front of the RV houses a private queen bedroom.

USED Travel Trailers with Two Queen Bedrooms

2019 Dutchmen Aspen Trail 3600QBDS

The 2019 Aspen Trail 3600QBDS features dual entries as well as two queen beds. The rear bedroom has more privacy with a full door, while the front bedroom has open entrances on both sides of a large shelving unit.

Both bedrooms have ample clothing storage and share a bathroom located in the main living area. The 40-foot long travel trailer also features large patio doors and a heated and enclosed underbelly.

2021 Jayco Eagle 340DROK

The Jayco Eagle 340DROK has a unique rear main bedroom and bathroom. The main bedroom features a queen-size or king-size bed and a connected full bathroom with an oversized vanity.

The second bedroom, located in the front of the RV has either a tri-fold sofa or a queen bed and tons of wardrobe space. There is also a half-bath attached to the secondary bedroom. In the living room, campers can all get cozy on the enormous six-seat theater sofa.

2020 Keystone Sprinter Limited 3571FWLFT

The 2020 Keystone Sprinter Limited 3571 fifth wheel offers the perfect solution for RVers who want a guest bedroom and an office. The bonus room in the middle of the RV includes a queen-size trifold sofa.

The room also includes a dresser, which could easily double as a desk. There are also plenty of other sleeping spaces in this RV, including another queen-size trifold sofa in the living room, a queen-size loft and a king-size bed in the main room.

Even with two bedrooms, this fifth wheel still has plenty of space for a large kitchen and living area.

2021 Heartland M180BH

Although the Heartland M180BH does not have two separate bedrooms, it does fit three queen-size beds into a 22-foot long space. In the living area, a queen-size murphy bed folds down over the jackknife sofa.

At the rear of the trailer, is a set of queen-size bunkbeds. The sleeping capacity plus the small size make this the perfect travel trailer for RVers on a budget who want to travel with large groups.

2017 KZ Venom 4020DQ

The oldest on our list of travel trailers with two queen bedrooms, the 2017 KZ Venom 4020DQ is a toy hauler with a unique layout. The main bedroom with a queen-size bed sits in the rear of the trailer.

However, the garage also easily transforms into another queen bedroom when the power bed option is included. The garage can be entered through an outside entrance or through the main bedroom. The Venom also includes a spacious front living room and center kitchen.

12 Best Small Travel Trailers with Bathrooms

Look, there are plenty of reasons not to want a large RV. Smaller models, such as small travel trailers, often mean significant savings. Not only will your RV no cost the equivalent of buying another house when you choose smaller travel trailers, but you can also expect better gas mileage, an easier time finding parking spaces, and plenty of other advantages beside—all while still having greater comfort than, say, tent camping.

So there’s plenty to recommend getting yourself a small travel trailer if you’re looking into recreational camping vehicles. One of the biggest drawbacks, however, is that many of them, in trying to make the most of their smaller space, skip including a bathroom.

In which case your bathroom situation is the same as it would be if you were tent camping. Let’s be real: Is that what you are looking for in a recreational vehicle?

If you’re like us, probably not.

Fortunately, however, there are an increasing number of small travel trailers that come with a bathroom. Let’s look at some of the best, shall we?

Airstream Sport (2018)

Airstream is one of the oldest and most trusted recreational vehicle and camper brands with good reason, and the most recent versions of the Sport travel trailer demonstrate just why that is. Loaded with great features and name brand elegance, the Sport is one of our favorite small travel trailers.

Let’s start with the bathroom, which might be our favorite of all the bathrooms highlighted here. Not only does it have separate roof fan and venting, but the toilet is porcelain (unlike the heavy plastics more common in small travel trailers), the bathroom faucet genuine Moen, and the sink Lavy. The shower comes with a great showerhead, a retractable clothesline (so you can dry wet clothes items in the shower when you aren’t using it), and a towel bar. The blackwater tank is external to the trailer, too, so should your toilet water get smelly, it won’t be a problem inside the travel trailer.

And the rest of the travel trailer is loaded with similarly classy, high-end features, including great appliances (a convection oven or more standard microwave, refrigerator, and foldable two-burner cooktop), a cutting board sink cover, an Ultraleather dinette set, Moen faucet, LED HD TV and JVC stereo, blackout shades for the panoramic front windows, auxiliary heating and air conditioning, and a great fan for when you simply need air rotation. Additionally, those windows are tempered and tinted, the TV comes with cable hookups, the roof is a white aluminum that helps keep temperatures moderate, and a ZipDee patio awning gives extra outdoor shade when you want it. Similarly, there’s an exterior shower option with both cold and hot water. Loaded with such features, it’s no wonder this is one of our favorite small travel trailers!

Barefoot Caravans

Barefoot Caravans is a special travel trailer because of the degree to which it can be customized. Designed in the United Kingdom, they will ship to the United States, and if customization is something you’re interested in, it may well be worth the extra fees. For instance, all of the following can be customized:

• Bathroom walls
• Kitchen walls
• Curtains (which can be custom stitched based on your fabric preferences as well)
• Seat upholstery (which comes in several different fabric or vinyl options)
• The radio (a Roberts Revival DAB Mini Radio, for those interested in specifics)

Numerous colors are available for each of the above options; for most items, the colors available include duck egg blue, gray, lime green, navy blue, orange, and stone. Additionally, the curvy shape of the Barefoot Caravan makes it incredibly stylistic and modern, and this makes it additionally appealing for some buyers.

Additionally, the feature-laden design includes:

• Eco-designed and environmentally friendly polycarbonate windows
• Extra storage space in the form of cupboards and wardrobes
• Roof lighting
• Isotherm compressor fridge and a freezer
• L-shaped seating that converts into a spacious bed

And then there’s the bathroom, which comes with a 30-liter onboard water tank and a Truma Combi hot water system that can run either via electric or gas hookups. Additionally the bathroom includes a Dometic cassette toilet, shower, wash basin, mirror, and cupboard space. Honestly, it’s a nice enough bathroom you may never want to leave!

Casita Travel Trailers Spirit Deluxe Trailer

A 17-foot trailer, the Casita Travel Trailers’ Spirit Deluxe Trailer comfortably fits three, making it a great fit for a small family. Not only can the dinette tables be converted into two sleeping areas, that versatility helps you make the most of the limited space. Built with Marine-grade fiberglass, this is the rare travel trailer you can use in any conditions or weather, including winter camping.

Additional nice touches include a 12-volt battery pack, 110-volt exterior outlet, exterior door light, connector hose so you can connect to city water (or campground water supplies), and even a freshwater tank you can lock for better hygiene.

And the bathroom is truly the star of this small travel trailer. Not only is it one of the largest areas of the camper, but the shower space and toilet are separated for optimum privacy, so you and a family member can use the bathroom at the same time. Just as nice, it comes with an industrial strength power fan roof vent and mesh screen windows so you can air out the bathroom as needed.

Storage space is also plentiful, with numerous overhead storage compartments, each of which are carpet-lined, available for stashing gear, equipment, or extra clothing.

Happier Camper HC1

Like other ultra-mini travel trailers, the HC1 doesn’t come with much. In fact, in order to get a bathroom, you need to order it with a couple of add-ons: the dry flush toilet and road shower, to be precise. But, and this is a big but: For travelers looking for something incredibly portable that can go nearly anywhere and who don’t need a ton of space because they’re minimalists to begin with? The Happier Camper HC1 is pretty much perfect.

Officially, it sleeps up to 5. Unofficially, you’d have to really, really, really like each other in order to sleep 5 in it; we think it’s best for a couple or a small family. Additionally, because it is only 11 feet long and only 1100 pounds dry weight, and comes with off-road friendly tires, it’s great for beach camping, dirt roads, and other backcountry expeditions, which is not something that can be said of very many travel trailers.

So is it ideal that you have to order the bathroom as an add-on? No. But if portability and minimalism are your goals, the HC1 is one of the best bets available. Simply order a dry flush toilet and road shower (and you’ll probably want a privacy/bathroom tent , too) and add on to what the HC1 already offers, which is substantial.

Among those features:

• At only 1100 lbs dry weight, even many small cars can easily tow it;
• The 100% double-hull insulated fiberglass shell is incredibly sturdy and, well, insulated;
• The large rear hatch door makes it easy to load and unload supplies, as do the ample storage spaces scattered throughout the trailer;
• Panoramic Jalousie windows are great for night skies and views;
• Solar power is readily available, courtesy the contoured roof panel; and
• It fits in a single parking space and in most garages.

iCamp Elite

At only 14 feet in length and 6 feet 8 inches in height, the iCamp Elite is one of the very smallest travel trailers to include a built-in shower and toilet. In order to fit as much as it does in such a small space, some sacrifices had to be made, of course. For instance, the dinette converts into a bed, and vice-versa, so you can’t have the bed and dinette available to you at the same time. It does come with both an oven and a refrigerator, however, which is rare for such small trailers.

Jayco Jay Sport Trailer

Jayco is a great brand, and this Jay Sport Trailer is everything you could hope for from a small travel trailer. Updated in 2017, this camper trailer has all the amenities you could hope for in a larger camper, but without taking up so much space.

Compact and straightforward, with clean, simple lines, you’ll find it has everything you need, including:

• 15-inch mud tires for if you desire off-roading
• Stabilizer jacks, which especially come in handy when parking in soft or uneven areas
• Double entry steps, which are also retractable should you so desire
• Clean cabinets designed to maximize storage
• Stainless steel stove which can be used indoors or out
• An acrylic sink
• Vinyl flooring
• A vented roof (with mesh screening) for those hot summer nights or beautiful summer days
• Bed mats that come with heating
• Reversible cushions
• Plush dinette
• Propane lines
• Stereo and TV capacity

And then there’s the bathroom itself, with a great six gallon water heater so you can even take hot showers. That’s definitely an exceptional feature for a trailer of this size!

Additionally, it’s set up so you can shower either inside or out (should you so choose) and includes a toilet and sink in the bathroom along with running water.

KZ Spree Escape Mini

An ultra lightweight travel trailer, the KZ Spree Escape Mini is highly customizable. For instance, it can be ordered in five different color schemes. (Check out their website for more details on each option.)

With that customization comes a range of bathroom options, from a very tight bathroom (in which the toilet and shower are pretty much right on top of each other) all the way up to a full bathroom in which the shower and toilet are much more partitioned.

Additionally, that range of custom options means you can find what works best for you. Some things are pretty consistent regardless of which option you go with, though: Upscale fiberglass exteriors, off-road package options, KZ’s exclusive Aqualon for EXP tent ends. You can expect power awnings, quality queen-sized beds, and a flip up entry step. Additionally, bunk ends are rated for up to 1,100 pounds, and the self-supporting cable system means no support poles with which to mess.

At less than 2,700 pounds, it’s hardly large, and yet it comes chock full of brilliant touches and features.

Scamp 13’ Standard Trailer

Like the iCamp Elite, Scamp’s 13’ Standard Trailer is a brilliant little travel trailer, making the most of the space available. Coming in two layouts, only one of which includes a bathroom, the 13-foot travel trailer shows some real Minnesotan ingenuity, as the 13-foot bathroom-included version also includes a shower, beds that convert into tables, storage space in the seats, a gas stove with sink, multiple closets, and all sorts of proof that it uses space incredibly well. For instance, the 12-gallon water tank is designed for use with the bathroom (including the shower) and kitchen. Similarly, the Sani Potti toilet can be hooked up to gray water so there’s no risk of contaminating your other water. And other perks of the 13-foot Scamp Trailer include a stove cover, a microwave oven, a front porch light, vinyl flooring and fiberglass cabinets for easy cleaning, a substantially higher number of outlets and lights than many comparably-sized trailers, as well as roof-mounted air conditioning and heating.

Taxa Cricket Camper

We love this ultra-mini travel trailer. Only 15 feet and with a width of 6’11” it’s about the size of a full-size truck, and it’s dry weight of 1500 pounds means it’s easily towed. Like a few of the other smallest travel trailers on this list, it doesn’t come with a bathroom, but you can add-on an external shower and portable toilet. Unlike some of the other ultra-mini travel trailers we love, though, the Cricket Camper is expandable, with a pop-up tent that makes it much roomier when you set up camp. Additionally, it might be the most rugged and badass of all the ultra-mini travel trailers we’ve looked, designed to literally go anywhere you can pull it. And there is an add-on option for an external shower that can come with the camper if you opt to go that route.

Other fantastic features include the exterior storage. Not only are their bumper steps to which you can strap gear externally, there’s also a roof rack system and tongue mounted toolbox so you can take your outdoor playthings with you and make any necessary repairs easily and quickly. As durable as the Cricket Camper is, however, odds are you won’t need that toolbox. Still, having it so easily accessible is plenty nice. Like the Happy Camper HC1, the rear hatch makes loading easy, too.

A 32-inch by 20-inch picture window gives great panoramic views directly from the lounge. Additional storage under the bed is a nice plus, and a pop-up table provides easy lounging space while keeping the cabin from feeling cluttered. The kitchen offers a large counter with a covered sink and 6 large cubbies for prepping, cooking, and storage. The electrical system is top notch, too, with interior LED lighting throughout (including task lighting over the kitchen), Zamp solar inlets (which are pre-wired), and 120V inlets for shore power connection, enough for 3+ days off-grid. Additionally, a tow vehicle connection allows you to recharge the battery while you haul the trailer to your next campsite.

Taxa Mantis Trek Camper

The Cricket’s larger brother, we love the Mantis Trek for its backcountry and off-grid capabilities. At 19 feet, it’s a bit larger than the Cricket, but still fits in a standard length and height garage, as it folds down to a height of only 6 feet 10 inches. At that size and weight (just more than 3,000 pounds), it’s still quite easy to tow and store, and the NASA-inspired design, integrated electronics and plumbing, and off-grid capacities mean it’s ready for nearly any adventure you can dream up. Like the Cricket, it pops up when set up as your base camp, meaning you have far more room available to you than you might imagine.

The Mantis Trek is designed specifically with off-the-grid use in mind, and as such, is powered by 12-volt batteries and plumbed for propane. That propane allows for a two-burner stove and water heater, with an included Truma Combi furnace for year-round use. Freshwater tank capacity of 20 gallons and a graywater tank capacity of 22 gallons are both great for a travel trailer of this size, and a wet bath is included as a cassette toilet (4 gallon fresh water, 5 gallon waste).

The pop-up roof gives you both more room and increased ventilation, and the queen-sized bed comes with under bed storage. USB charging ports help you keep your gear charged, and the two 20-pound liquid propane tanks mean you can stay fueled up for cooking and hot water. Exterior features are designed with a rugged lifestyle in mind, including a powder-coated steel frame, front stabilizer jacks, powder-coated gravel guards, a spare wheel replete with all-terrain tire, 16 inches of clearance, torsion axle suspension, a solar pre-wired system, a crossbar-included roof rack system for strapping down your outdoor gear and toys, and a large 8 foot patio awning.

Inside the camper shell, nice touches include the birch wood kitchen, replete with plenty of extra storage, LED interior lights (including a reading light), a Dometic 12V 65-liter fridge and freezer combo, a mesh side screen door for increased ventilation, room divider curtains, and more—including the option to switch up your power sources.

The Mantis Trek is designed to run on multiple power schemes. Not only can it run off of two 12-volt deep cycle batteries, it can also run off shore power with a 110-volt converter or a solar system if set up in that way, and the additional propane plumbing is a nice touch, too, as are the electric brakes, single axle, and independent suspension system.

United Recreational Vehicles iCamp Elite

The iCamp Elite is one of the smallest travel trailers on this list, and while it’s short on space, its diminutive size is not short on features. Heavy-duty aluminum tubing, industrial strength styrofoam, and high-gloss fiberglass construction makes this trailer incredibly hardy, and it is one of the few that handles just as well in terrible conditions. It’s also incredibly stylish and sporty.

About that size: If you’re a big person, or need a lot of space, this probably isn’t the travel trailer for you. Ceilings, for instance, top out at five feet eleven inches, and furniture is rounded to fit in tight spaces. If you’re claustrophobic, this isn’t the camper for you.

That lack of space, however, is accounted for by a feature-laden design, in addition to the obvious pluses of reducing your drag (and correspondingly, your fuel usage) compared to more traditionally-sized travel trailers.

Other features include the simple easy of towing such a small trailer, the glossy painted furniture, sweet wallpaper, and an iPod connection for better tunes. And the bathroom itself is one of the larger parts of the trailer, replete with toilet and shower. So if you aren’t claustrophobic, and are looking for easy towing options, look no further. The iCamp Elite is one of the best truly small travel trailers we’ve seen that also includes a bathroom.

A few final tips when looking at small travel trailers

Rent first if at all possible.

It can be hard to know what you want until you’ve spent some time RVing, and that’s especially true if you’re weighing multiple different options. It could entirely be the case that you know you want a small travel trailer with a bathroom but not much more than that, and the list above is lots of information, sure, but that information isn’t the same as experience.

As a result, if you’re considering buying one of the travel trailers above, we strongly recommend you consider trying to rent one if not exactly the same then similar to what you want so that you can try it for a trip or two first. Even the most affordable of small travel trailers are not exactly cheap, and you don’t want to be saddled with an expensive new toy only to find out it’s not actually what you want.

While our previous option did have a fairly budget-friendly price tag, the KZ RV Sportsmen SE is a great choice for those of you that have to stick it to a particular budget. These RVs are budget-friendly and have plenty of options with two doors so that you can find a way out that works well for your lifestyle. Let’s take a closer look. 

Ranging in length from 30 feet to 37 feet, the Sportsmen SE offers plenty of options with multiple doors and entrances. This RV is lightweight overall, especially when you consider the overall length of these rigs. Plus, there are plenty of family-friendly floor plans as well as options that are ideal for full-timing. 

There are plenty of features to appreciate inside this particular travel trailer. You have convertible furniture and a spacious bathroom on every single floor plan. Plus, the Sportsmen SE was designed with additional insulation and air circulation to create a quiet, cool location to relax in at the end of a long day. 

You also have additional amenities that you can consider adding to your initial purchase price. KZ RV offers a great solar package as well as other boondocking features that you may want to add, depending on how large your RV is. It will also depend on how often you plan on using your RV, but the good news is that all available floor plans of the Sportsmen SE are built for four-season camping . 

From the large storage capacity to the fair price point, there’s a lot that this travel trailer has to offer. You even have contemporary and comfortable interior design options to choose from, all of which are easy to clean and maintain. However, just make sure that there’s a floor plan that works well for you, as there aren’t very many options with two doors. 

Ideal for Families:  Coachmen Freedom Express Select

• Bunkhouse floor plans are perfect for families 
• Two-door layouts are convenient and easily accessible 
• Outdoor kitchen gives you more space to cook 
• Doesn’t have very many bells and whistles overall 

While most of these options on this list give you plenty of choices that are ideal for families, the Coachmen Freedom Express Select is another great option as well. While there are only two available floor plans that consist of a two-door layout, these options are ideal for families considering that they are bunkhouse options. Let’s take a closer look at them now. 

Comparing the two available floor plans side by side, the first option consists of an entrance into the primary living space and the other entrance into a designated bathroom. This bathroom is closely connected to the bunkhouse suite, with 4 twin bunk beds so that you can sleep the whole family. 

The other floor plan option with two doors has an entrance into the main living area and an entrance into the master suite. Depending on which you prefer, you can have bunk beds with closer door access or you can have access to the outside from the master suite. It all depends on what you are looking for, but either option is a great choice for families. 

The interior design is simple and clean, with plenty of storage both inside and out. You should have no trouble bringing along everything that you and your entire family need, as some of these floor plans can sleep up to 10 people on board. With exterior pass-through storage compartments, it’s easy to bring all the gear you may need.

There’s also an exterior kitchen and entertainment center option on some floor plans, giving you more space if the interior gets a bit crowded. There are plenty of features included in the standard purchase price, which is also budget-friendly given that Coachmen tends to prioritize this for their customers. 

This is a solid rig if it’s your first RV or you perhaps have a potentially rowdy group of kiddos and pets coming along for the ride. However, it doesn’t necessarily have much to offer in terms of design or amenities. If you are looking for something with a bit more bells and whistles, you may want to look elsewhere. 

Full-Time Living Option: Heartland Sundance Ultra-Lite

• Easy to clean and maintain with few slide-outs 
• Multiple floor plans with two separate entrances 
• Attractive and residential interior design 
• Does not offer washer and dryer preparation  

Starting at $45k, the Sundance Ultra-Lite from Heartland isn’t the most affordable option on this list. However, it maintains a sense of openness and luxury inside that makes it ideal for full-time living . Plus, there are nearly 10 different floor plans with two-door entrances, giving you plenty to choose from. Let’s take a look at what makes this rig special now. 

The interior design of this particular RV is one of the main reasons why it’s our top pick for full-time living. The durable flooring and furniture included in your RV are attractive, contemporary, and practical. The layouts are also thoughtful and built for a more residential feel, which also assists with full-time living. 

You can get this travel trailer in multiple lengths, but the two-door floor plans range anywhere from 28 feet to 36 feet. Each and every single model is lightweight and durable, built from Azdel and other materials. These help keep the RV resistant to moisture and decay as well as give it a lightweight frame that you can easily tow with the average half-ton vehicle. 

Many floor plans offer kitchen islands as well as outdoor kitchens . You have spacious bathroom floor plans as well as comfortable bunkhouse options. No matter what you are looking for, you’re likely to find it in the Sundance, but just make sure that the floor plan you are hoping for also includes two doors!

Let’s check out everything that’s included with this RV now. 

Reaching just over 36 feet long, the Work and Play floor plan with two doors offers an elaborate setup so that you can fit as much gear inside as possible. In fact, it has an overall cargo-carrying capacity of nearly 4,000 pounds, making it ideal for multiple recreational toys such as kayaks, bicycles , ATVs, and more. 

No matter which floor plan you choose, you technically always have two doors given the fact that every option has a rear ramp so that you can easily load your gear. The furniture designed inside of this particular travel trailer is built to collapse and otherwise move out of the way so that you can store as much as you want while on the road. 

If there isn’t enough storage inside while you travel, then perhaps there will be enough using the pass-through exterior storage compartments. Once you reach camp, the interior of your RV is easily converted into a comfortable living space, with plenty of sleeping arrangements for the whole family. 

However, just like all toy haulers, the interior living always feels a bit lacking and bland, given the fact that you do need so much space for your recreation vehicles. If you don’t plan on bringing along an ATV or other outdoor toy, you should consider another option that better suits your needs. 

Convenient Layout: Jayco Jay Feather

• Multiple layouts with two doors and convenient design 
• Thoughtful interior makes you feel right at home 
• Plenty of room to sleep the whole family or up to 9 people 
• May be heavier than the average travel trailer on this list 

Sleeping up to 9 people depending on the floor plan you choose, the Jayco Jay Feather is another great choice when it comes to finding a travel trailer with two doors. While there are only two to three available floor plans that have this style of entrance, they are convenient and well laid out for just about any lifestyle. Let’s check it out in more detail.

This travel trailer is exceedingly popular for a variety of reasons, given its fair price point and accessibility for both families and couples. 

Some floor plans have bunk beds, others have spacious master suites. No matter what, you can expect the interior design to be spot-on and contemporary, with plenty of residential comforts to remind you that you’re not far from home. There are even bunkhouse bedrooms with sofa beds beneath so that the kiddos can be comfortable even when they aren’t sleeping. 

It’s easy to spend time inside a Jayco travel trailer given its unique interior design and thoughtful planning. The refrigerator is residential-sized so that you can feed the whole family, and there are even exterior kitchens in case you run out of room indoors. Plus, all of the furnishings are durable and easy to clean so packing up and storing your RV is easy. 

However, depending on which floor plan you choose, it may be a bit heavy for the average tow vehicle. The largest floor plan weighs over 7000 pounds , so keep this in mind and make sure that you never purchase an RV that is too heavy for your tow vehicle!

We’ve been living in a Sprinter van for the past two years – the same chassis where many companies build out their smallest RVs with a shower and toilet. Since we did a DIY van, we opted NOT to have a bathroom in our van.

However, I just spent a month traveling Europe in a variety of small RVs with bathrooms, and it WAS nice to have that hot shower and place to pee inside my rig. We refrained from going #2, though, as that can be gross to dump when you have a cassette toilet.

For the non-squeamish, a small RV with a shower and toilet can have a lot of benefits and is the ONLY way many people will travel, especially full-time.

With that in mind, here are some of our top picks!

1. Airstream Interstate 19

This smallest RV with shower and toilet covers all your basic needs but also provides you with features such as seat belts for four and a roomy lounge area. You can do day trips with your friends, cook lunch on the beach and take your entire family camping.

We love that this campervan with a bathroom is 4WD so you can go almost anywhere.

The bed has push-button control and flattens out to a large 66″ x 73″. You’ll also enjoy hot water, an LED widescreen TV and spacious, versatile bathroom. The wet bath in this smallest Class B RV with shower and toilet also includes a sink, built-in shampoo, conditioner and body wash stations. There’s even a clothesline!

2. Winnebago Revel

With its 4WD campervan attitude and diesel turbo engine, nothing is off-limits with this smallest RV with shower and bathroom.

The diesel heating system means that as long as you have diesel in your tank, you have warmth. The solar panels on the roof come as standard so you can really get off the grid and relax. The magnetic fly screen across the door is a real innovation that makes life easier. 

This small RV with a bathroom offers a 31″x26″ wet bath with a flexible showerhead, shower curtain, removable shelves, removable clothesline, swiveling cassette toilet and powered roof vent.

The biggest advantage of this model is the storage in the back. The bed lifts to the roof, allowing you to keep your bikes or other bulky items in the back while you’re on the road. 

3. Coachmen Nova

The Coachmen Nova is a new offering from this reputable RV brand. Choose between a twin bed model and a lay-flat power sofa.

This smallest RV with shower and toilet features a luxurious interior with blue LED lights, a 24″ LED TV, solid hardwood cabinetry and residential high rise faucet and sink. You’ll find a wet bath with a toilet and fiberglass shower.

The driver’s chairs swivel around making good use of space and it also means you don’t have to pack up your beds before you can sit for a morning coffee.

The bed layout in one of the models are twin beds with a cool swivel table in the middle – perfect for families.

4. Pleasure Way Plateau TS

The Pleasure Way TS Plateau is one of the smallest RVs with shower and toilet built on the Mercedes Benz chassis. You’ll find a large wet bath, a six cubic foot refrigerator, full-size wardrobe and extended galley.

In fact, the kitchen countertop extends to over 6 feet long and offers a cutting board over a large sink, a delight for cooks.

Enjoy the great outdoors from the comfort of this Class B RV with windows all around and a sliding side door. Sleep easy on a a base layer of medium density foam covered with 3 inches of memory foam.

The fully equipped wet bath features a medicine cabinet with mirror, storage compartment, china bowl toilet, towel rack and handheld showerhead.

5. Thor Coach Gemini

The Gemini by Thor Motor Coach is a stunning Class B+ smallest RV with a shower and toilet.

Driving this rig you could easily think you were driving a standard luxury vehicle as it has all the bells and whistles. There are two unique floor plans to choose from, convertible sleep-to-seating options, a huge retractable TV, and lots of storage inside and out. 

This AWD small RV with a bathroom has a built-in skylight, bringing in plenty of natural light. You’ll also find euro-style cabinet doors, nickel-finish hardware and residential vinyl flooring.

With the extra length comes the ability to extend the bathroom, creating a separate shower space. Officially classed as a B+, it’s easy to see the extra comfort that is provided in this small RV with shower and toilet.

6. Leisure Travel Wonder

As the largest RV on this list, you’d expect the Wonder to be packed with features. And it really is. Considering it’s still on the small side of RVs and a Class B, it packs so much in.

There are 4 designs to choose from and each has been cleverly thought-out for the full-time traveler. There’s plenty of headroom, storage lockers, and living space. All floorplans feature a double bed, kitchen, toilet, dinette, entertainment area, and swivel front seats .

Choose between having a rear lounge, rear twin beds, front twin beds, or a Murphy bed. There’s also plenty of upholstery and wall lining options. For a production RV, this build is very customizable. The front twin beds and the Murphy bed floorplans feature a wet bathroom, while the other two have a dry bath.

On the roof, there’s plenty of space to mount solar panels, so you can generate a good amount of energy to power your favorite gadgets. Overall, the Wonder must be one of the best small RVs with a shower and toilet currently on the market.

7. 13′ Scamp Deluxe

If you want a small trailer with toilet and shower you can stow away in the garage when you’re not adventuring, the Scamp Deluxe is perfect.

There are three floorplans. Layout B features a wet bath, while there’s no toilet in the other two. Layout B includes 2 closets, a kitchenette with sink and a stove, a wet bath, and a dinette that turns into a bed. It’s small, simple, yet very practical.

The interior is cozy yet modern; while the exterior has a vintage feel that makes it super cute. Scamp Trailers managed to squeeze a lot into this small space. On the front hitch, there’s space to store 2 gas bottles, so they’re safely outdoors and don’t take up any extra room.

The 13′ Scamp Deluxe weighs less than 2,000 pounds, so you can tow it with almost any car and it’s very fuel-efficient.

8. iCamp Elite

The iCamp Elite camper is a super lightweight (1,337lbs) and compact trailer. It’s the perfect vehicle to quickly prep and hitch to your car for a weekend or holiday adventure. The teardrop shape allows you to store bikes on the front, above the hitch.

There’s only one floorplan, but you can choose between an orange or blue package. Inside, there are a kitchen with a sink and stove, a wet bath, and a dinette that turns into a double bed. Every space is small but workable. It’s the price to pay for having a tiny trailer with all the comforts.

Even though it’s extra light, the iCamp Elite is well built. The steel frame is overlayed with a laminated structure foam body and finished with a gel coat of high-gloss fiberglass exterior skin. No wonder it’s so shiny.

9. Airstream Basecamp

When you picture a trailer, you instantly think of the iconic Airstream .

The Basecamp smallest RV with toilet and shower merges the classic Airstream aluminum shiny look with a more modern shape. The front is very similar to that of those old-school trailers you’re used to seeing on the NASA launchpad. From the back, it almost resembles a tiny spaceship. We can see what Airstream did there.

The interior is very contemporary and all the furniture follows and complements the rounded shapes of the exterior. You can choose between 4 floorplans – 2 at 16′ long and 2 at 20′ long. The layouts are very similar. They all feature a dinette that turns into a bed, a small kitchen, and a wet bath. The bigger models have an extra dinette in the front, which means they can sleep 4 people.

Among the options, there’s a two-room tent attachment, which gives you the option to camp with more people.

As you’d expect, Airstreams don’t come cheap. However, going for a smaller trailer will save you a decent amount of money.
