The big bus routes

This tour takes you past iconic landmarks like the Emirates Palace Hotel, Louvre, Heritage Village or the Presidential Palace. You will drive along fantastic beaches, coffeeshops and promenades and you will have plenty of time to drink a coffee at the brandnew beach promendade Al Bahar before you hop on to explore the rest of the city.

On this tour you will be able to explore the man-made Yas Island that houses most of Abu Dhabi´s theme parks and which is home to the F1 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. The City Tour operates from 9am to 6.50pm with the The Island Tour in action from 11am to 3pm. Both tours operate daily with each trip taking approximately one hour and 50 minutes.

What does Big Bus Abu Dhabi look like?

Big Bus Abu Dhabi is instantly recognisble with its maroon colour, trimmed with gold. Each bus is a purpose-built double-decker that comes with air-conditioning and shade for the hotter days in the capital. Each seat is equipped with an audio box providing a bundle of facts for tourists in eight different languages.

Where can we buy tickets?

You can purchase your Big Bus Abu Dhabi ticket at the Abu Dhabi Mall kiosk, onboard or online where you are provided with a 10 per cent discount.

What tickets are available?

Big Bus Abu Dhabi offers you three different tickets; classic, premium and deluxe. The classic provides unlimited bus journeys over a 24-hour period with the premium stub offering you 48 hours to see the city as well as a tour of the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

If you are staying in the city for a week or more, plump for the deluxe ticket which offers five days of journeys including tours of the Presidential Palace and the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

All tours provide a set of free earphones for you to enjoy the pre-recorded commentary about the city.

Commencing from Abu Dhabi Mall , the top spots we recommend you get off Big Bus to enjoy:

• Louvre Museum on Saadiyat Island – a must for art lovers or the culturally interested. The building itself is amazing, and the meticulously designed collection is well worth a stop. Allow at least 2 hours. Entry fees apply, closed Mondays.
• Abu Dhabi Heritage Village – a small volunteer-run organisation that sits on the Marina Breakwater. A taster for Bedouin life and fabulous views over to the city. If you time it right, you can catch handicraft displays and even photo opportunities with a falcon. Allow 30 minutes to 1 hour. Entry is FREE.
• Founders Memorial – a photo moment, although you can catch this from the right side of the bus without disembarking. No entry fee.
• Emirates Palace – only worth the stop if you’re excited by the glitz and glam of Abu Dhabi – garden entry free . You can time it right for a meal or stop for your gold flake tea. This is also the stopping point to cross the road for Observation Deck at 300 in Etihad Towers for amazing city views and teas – an entry fee applies.
• Qasr Al Watan Presidential Place – this one is a must to get off and visit inside as you won’t get much just from the road. Allow yourself 1.5 to 2 hours here exploring the stunning Qasr Al Watan – an entry fee applies, additional for guided tours, or available with your Deluxe ticket .
• Qasr Al Hosn – recently reopened, this restored fort is the city’s culture and history centre (arguably the better of the two if you’re deciding between a stop here or the Heritage Village) – an entry fee applies.
• The Galleria – one of the city’s glitziest malls on Al Maryah Island is a great way to finish off your day with city views and dinner choices aplenty along the waterfront.

If there’s no immediate bus and the weather is cool enough, you can walk from the Founders Memorial to Emirates Palace, Qasr al Watan and the Observation Deck, though this will take a fair part of your day.

Big Bus Green Route – Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque

You can interchange to the Green Route at Abu Dhabi Mall stop after completing the Red Route, or tackle the Green Route as a separate day (you will need to if you get off at the mentioned stops on day 1!)

Slightly altered from pre-COVID days, this route now ONLY covers the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque (not Yas Island as it used to).

• Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque – what more can we say? Simply stunning in every way and the number one most visited destination in the country. Make sure you bring with you appropriate attire to meet the Mosque dress code – Entry is free, and there are free tour options, no pre-booking is needed

• Abu Dhabi Mall at 10:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM

Recently purchased 1 day pass which allowed us to explore the majority of the city. Very informative tour and stops at all major tourist spots along the routes. Supplied bottled water free of charge which is well needed due to the heat. Highly recommend especially as it allows you to explore the Grand Mosque which is a must see. Pass also included a Dhow boat trip which gives wonderful views of the Abu Dhabi skyline across the corniche. 2 day pass would be beneficial as the green route will take you to Yas island were Ferrari world is located but our hotel provided a free shuttle so this was our reason for the 1 day pass.

Moscow International Pro is part of the UAEJJF World Ranking and Abu Dhabi World Professional Jiu-Jitsu Qualifiying Series.

Open to All Nationalities, All belts Juveniles, Adults and Masters.

Athletes should make sure that all your registration information is correct from the fighter's list.

Check your Name, Weight, Gender, Age, Belt, and Academy.

If there are any errors on your application or your name is not included on the list, changes should be made until the deadline, requests sent after the correction deadline will be ignored. 


IMPORTANT INFO

Athletes affiliation and academy registration

All Kids and Adults from White to Black Belt athletes must be properly affiliated for the current year in the UAE Jiu-Jitsu Federation.

All academies must be registered in order for its students to register in the competition.

All the documentation must be properly filled when applying your affiliation online. All athletes with pending and/or incorrect documentation won't be able to register for the tournament, as they need to have their request approved first.

You must bring the ID at the event before their fights, otherwise, you will not be able to compete.

Any false information provided during registration such as DOB but not limited to; may leed to immediate disqualification; such actions are subject to suspension or even banishment from future UAEJJF events.

Depending on the number of athletes in the tournament, some classes may not have the division.

* When there is only one athlete on the bracket, points are not counted.


** If there are only one or two players, the division will be canceled and they will be moved to the next divisions, 3 (three) is the minimum players for the division happen.

*** Same case for masters division. However, the master's athletes can be placed in the adult's divisions

Refund Policy:

The registration fee is non-refundable.

Exemption: Athletes who are alone in their bracket are eligible to receive a full refund of the registration fee if they contact [email protected] and request to withdraw their name from the competition prior to the end of the appointed event registration check day.

If you are alone on your bracket you can contact [email protected] till the day before registration check day and request a change on your registration; UAEJJF does not guarantee that the division you want to be moved to will have another competitor at the day of the event

The registration fee can not be transferred to another member or championship.

Check-in is the first process whereby the fighters will do when they arrival at the tournament:

Weigh-in (with GI) is the second process whereby the fighters will do when they arrival at Championship:

Athletes may only weigh up and fight if they are carrying an ID (identity document) with a photograph, otherwise, the athlete will be disqualified

Depending on the kind of championship, weighing may be performed from one day before, one hour before or during the tournament (check tab schedule which one is applicable):

If you don’t come to the weight-in (to check weight) you will be automatically disqualified

Reasonable time will be given to you, so being late will not be tolerated

You only have 1 chance to pass the weigh-in

Players from the same club can be placed on the same side of the brackets.

If two fighters (team-mates) are suspected of fixing a fight, they will both be subject to disqualification from the tournament. In suspected cases, the Central Referee should stop the fight as soon as possible and request the supervision of the Referee Coordinator. The fight will then continue with the Referee Coordinator reserving the right to disqualify both competitors should the Referee Coordinator deem the fight to be fixed.

The players must wear Kimono to receive their medals in the podium (not allowed hats, earphones, sponsors’ t-shirts or another kind of advertise).

Not allowed to hold club t-shirt or teams flags on the Podium (only country’s flag).

If there are three players, they will receive their medals but there's no prize money.

The division must have no less than 4 athletes from different academies to receive the prize money (in others case the division runs normally but there is no prize money).

Avoid problems, perform a checking list correctly, and make your check into the day stipulated.

Make sure to have clean clothes and GI uniforms in proper condition.

Before each fight, athletes will be asked to show their Picture Ids to the officials. Make sure you have it at hand, the absence of ID can lead to DQ.

Make sure to check the schedule at our website, brackets and schedules are also posted at the event venue.

Athletes must keep the kimono and belt tied to the waist at all times while in the waiting or competition area.

The referee makes the final decision and will not tolerate any complaints or make changes to the decision

The athletes are not allowed to jump over the fences/barricades in the competition area.

Make sure to get to the event at least 45 minutes prior to your bracket schedule. You should be warmed up by the time your bracket is called.

Make sure to listen to the division calls on the PA System in the Warm Up area.

At the designated time, go to the warm up area, wearing your GI and with a picture ID or Badge accreditation.

In the warm up area, pay attention to the bracket manager calls

After the Bracket Manager call, he will take you to the concentration area to wait your time to fight. The Mat Manager will take you to the competition area for your fight.

Do NOT remain in the competition area after the end of your fight. Return to the concentration area, and remain there until the mat manager calls you for the next round if you won your previous match.

Be respectful to the staff, officials other athletes and coaches. In turn, they will show you the same courtesy.

Be respectful to the referees, showing consideration and appreciation for the performance of his or her duties.

Any disputes regarding matches are to be settled by the Referee. All decision by the Referee will be final.

Direct all questions to tournament staff at the administration table. We will do our best to answer your questions as quickly as possible. Please be patient with questions as there are a lot of competitors at the event. As such we remain busy throughout the day.

Please maintain your belongings. We cannot be responsible for lost or stolen items.
