I might be a little biased here, but I absolutely love Granada, and I’m sure you will too. I’ve already visited four times, and there is still so much to discover.

This excursion will show you the best of Granada – the ancient monument complex of Alhambra with the stunning Generalife Gardens.

Plus, you will have plenty of time to explore more of Granada in your free time – you can get inspired on what else to see in here .

The most popular excursion in the Malaga region is also finally available with a pick up in Estepona!

Known as the ‘pathway of the King’, this route was once one of the most dangerous hikes in the world. Don’t worry – it’s perfectly safe now and doesn’t require any extreme fitness level to hike it.

5. GIBRALTAR EXCURSION

Rating: 4.3 / 5, duration: 9.5 hours.

Gibraltar is one of the most popular and demanded excursions from Costa del Sol. I visited in winter time, and it was absolutely spectacular!

This very popular excursion has two options: plan your own program and enjoy the free time in Gibraltar, or book the upgraded excursion with a tour of the Nature Reserve, a highlight of a trip to Gibraltar.

I recommend you book the upgraded tour as the Nature Reserve is a must-see while visiting Gibraltar – it includes highlights like St. Michael’s Cave, the Skywalk, war tunnels and many others. Plus the views are hard to beat!

  • passport necessary
  • pick up & transport from Estepona
  • entry to Gibraltar by bus (waiting time may be necessary at borders)
  • bilingual guide
  • free time or book the Nature Reserve tour

6. MOROCCO DAY TRIP (TETOUTAN)

Duration: 10 – 15 hours.

The only tour I haven’t booked myself yet, but it’s at the top of my travel wishlist.

If you fancy something out of the ordinary, why not visit the African continent? Morocco is only a stone throw away from the South of Spain, and a local travel company is the best option to plan this trip.

This tour will take you to Morocco via the ferry from Algeciras (45 mins journey), where in the beautiful city of Tetoutan you will experience the following:

  • visit of the local Tetoutan Medina (UNESCO world heritage site)
  • free time for shopping in the commercial area
  • visit the old Jewish quarter of Mellah and the Hassan II Square
  • enjoy a local lunch (not included in price)
  • visit a traditional Moroccan Berber farmhouse

This tour includes free cancellation up to 24 hours (for full refund) and a book now pay later option. Don’t forget to bring your passport!

7. JEREZ DE LA FRONTERA EXCURSION

Duration: 10 – 12 hours.

Visit the central hub of the sherry production, one of the most picturesque white villages of Andalusia – Jerez de la Frontera. Stretching half way between Seville and Cadiz, this traditional town has some real gems waiting to be discovered.

This excursion will take you to the Bodegas Domecq, one of the most prestigious wineries in the entire area, complete with guided tour and wine tasting.

You will also get a chance to experience flamenco perfomrance at a traditional venue in the old town, and enjoy some free time to explore Jerez at your own pace!

  • tour guide in 5 languages
  • available once per week

Tips for Booking Excursions from Estepona

Whether you already have a destination in mind, or still looking for the best option for you, here are a few practical tips to keep in mind.

How to Choose Your Excursion

I have provided a short guide at the start of the article, but here are a few additional pointers:

  • if you’re traveling with kids, the short distance trips are the best option.
  • The closest destinations to Estepona would be Ronda or Gibraltar (although there may be waiting time at the borders).
  • if you’re visiting the first time, I would highly recommend Granada as my top choice, with tickets to Alhambra included.
  • some of the excursions only run once a week, so you might be quite limited with the options – check them beforehand to make sure you don’t miss out.
  • decide on how much time you want to spend traveling vs exploring the city – closer destinations will allow you more time for exploring, while those further away (Granada, Cordoba) offer more beautiful sights.
  • if you’re on a tight budget, the closer the destination, the cheaper it generally is – the most affordable trip from this list is the one to Gibraltar, starting at 29 euros (without entrance to the Nature Reserve)

How to Book Your Excursion

Nearly all of the excursions included have free cancellation up to 24 hours, so it’s risk free to book one even if you’re not sure about your plans yet.

Use the online booking option on the trip page – choose the number of people participating and your date.

After that you will see the final price and also the pick up point and starting time for the excursion. Make sure you’re ok with the location, and that you can get there in the specified time from where you’re staying.

Once you pay, you will receive an email confirmation which will provide detailed guidance on where to meet up, what to bring with you, and the detailed itinerary for your trip.

It will also include contact details for the local travel company, so you can ask them any details directly. Cancellation policy is also included.

Tour Exclusions

Each tour company has different terms for running their tours, so it’s worth checking your email confirmation or the details on the trip page.

In general, most tours will have following limits:

  • kids are generally accepted on these trips, but some tours may impose age limits. For example, the Caminito del Rey tour, kids under the age of 10 shouldn’t attend
  • the excursions do not include a pick up and drop off at your hotel, you will need to get a taxi to the meeting point
  • all of the excursions included are a small group trip, not a private tour
  • wheelchair users – the trip page will specify if the excursions is suitable for wheelchair users
  • generally, all food and drinks are not included (even if a lunch is mentioned)

All of the excursions offer transport in a mini van or a small bus with airconditioning. Generally these are pretty modern buses with toilets, and on some journeys they might even serve snacks or coffee.

Do not take any large luggage with you that would not fit in the overhead compartments. Many monuments do not allow entry with large backpacks.

Tickets to Monuments

Unless it’s stated in the tour details, the entry to the monuments is not included. If you’re deciding on a tour, it’s always a good idea to get an excursion with tickets included, as they can be a pain to get on your own!

Final Words

I hope you found lots of interesting ideas on what to explore beyond Estepona. If you have questions about a specific destination or trip, you can leave a comment below or even better, post it in my private Facebook group .

10 Superb Day Trips from Estepona Recommended By a Local

There are plenty of fun day trips from Estepona – from visiting popular destinations like Gibraltar to discovering off-the-beaten-track white villages and spending the day in one of the best natural parks in the province of Malaga.

As a Costa del Sol local, I can assure you that Estepona has many fantastic activities to do, so you could potentially spend your entire trip in Estepona, especially if you go for a short period.

However, if this isn’t your first time in Estepona and you want to explore beyond, or you can’t stay still in a place like me, I’ve compiled my favourite excursions from Estepona. Here they are:

  • Ronda (best for a cultural day trip)
  • Mijas Pueblo (best for discovering one of Andalusia’s white villages)
  • Sierra de las Nieves (best for a day in nature)
  • Gibraltar (best for a family day out)

They’re all realistic day trips, and what I mean by that is that you won’t spend the day travelling. They’re within a maximum of 2-hour drive.

Ready to discover them all? Let’s go.

The best day trips from Estepona

1. marbella.

Marbella sign in Marbella Old Town

• Distance: 33.5 km (20.8 miles) – 30 minutes

Marbella is one of the closest towns near Estepona, which makes it a great day trip if you don’t want a long drive.

Whether you want to experience the sophisticated atmosphere in Marbella’s famous port, called Puerto Banus, uncover the charm of its historic centre or watch the sunset at one of its finest rooftop terraces.

Estepona Old Town might be considered one of the best, but Marbella isn’t much behind. I actually prefer Marbella’s old town.

On top of this, another reason to love Marbella is its coastline. Cabopino is without a doubt one of the best beaches , but you can also enjoy ones right in the centre, like Playa del Faro.

Get sun-kissed even in winter by walking or riding a bike on the beach promenade.

🚗 How to get from Estepona to Marbella : The fastest way to get to Marbella is by car. However, you can also take a bus from Estepona bus station. The direct bus takes approximately 1 hour and 5 minutes.

2. Mijas Pueblo

mijas pueblo view

• Distance: 65.5 km (40.7 miles) – 50 minutes

Mijas Pueblo is one of the prettiest villages in Malaga, alongside Frigiliana , located on the east side of the province.

This village is full of charm – its lovely whitewashed streets with flower pots on the walls, its amazing coastal views and its people make it worth visiting.

Walk on its streets, visit the local museum, eat tapas, buy beautiful ceramics and watch the sunset from the viewpoint next to the chapel.

A fun activity in Mijas Pueblo for families and anyone without kids is to do a chocolate workshop at Mayan Monkey Mijas .

🚗 How to get from Estepona to Mijas Pueblo : The most straightforward way to get to Mijas Pueblo is by car via AP-7. You can also take AP-7 and A-355 if you don’t want to pay tolls.

3. Gibraltar

gibraltar cable car

• Distance: 50.8 km (31.6 miles) – 55 minutes

Gibraltar is a popular excursion from Estepona, especially among families.

If you ask Spaniards, you’ll often hear that Gibraltar doesn’t have much to see, but I’m a Spaniard and have to disagree. In fact, I love it because of the mixture of cultures and breathtaking views of the north of Africa from the Rock.

You can’t miss the Upper Nature Reserve on a day trip to Gibraltar . It’s where you’ll find most of the attractions like the suspension bridge, the skyline (a glass path where you can see what’s underneath), St. Michael’s Cave and the Rock.

While exploring this place, you’ll always feel accompanied by the cheeky Gibraltarian monkeys. Make sure not to feed them; otherwise, they won’t leave your side, and you risk being fined.

If you love shopping, Gibraltar is also a good day out. Many goods don’t have tax so you can get things for cheaper!

🚗 How to get from Estepona to Gibraltar : The easiest way to get to Gibraltar is by car via AP-7 and A-7. Note that the route has tolls. Also, you can book a guided tour like this one .

A photo of Cristina sat in the dunes in Punta Paloma, Tarifa, Spain

• Distance: 73.6 km (45.7 miles) – 1 hour

Leave the province of Malaga to discover the coastal town of Tarifa. It’s famous for being the best kitesurfing spot in Europe. The wind conditions are just perfect! So if you love this watersport, you definitely want to spend your day in Tarifa.

If sports aren’t your thing, you can still have a laid-back day by exploring Tarifa’s town centre, which gives you all the hipster and bohemian vibes.

Try the traditional red tuna, window-shop its independent shops, visit its castle, and if you drive 25 minutes in Cadiz’s direction, you can see the impressive Baelo Claudia ruins .

The golden sand beaches in Tarifa are stunning, but they aren’t great for sunbathing because of the wind. It’s been windy every time I’ve been to Tarifa.

🚗 How to get from Estepona to Tarifa : The fastest way to get to Tarifa is by car via AP-7 and Autovía del Mediterráneo/A-7.

A beautiful marbled fountain in Ronda, Spain.

• Distance: 67.9 km (42.2 miles)  – 1 hour and 10 minutes

Ronda is among my favourite day trips from Estepona because it offers a day full of culture, food and sights.

If you love museums, you have several ones where you can learn about archaeology and traditions.

With numerous options, choosing which ones to go to can be difficult. Well, if you don’t have much time, I recommend Palacio de Mondragón, where you find the local museum, and Casa Museo Don Bosco ; I love the scenic mountain views.

Besides the museums, check out Puente Nuevo and spend time wandering the old town.

Regarding food, you’re spoilt for choice. Ronda is full of bars and restaurants! El Lechuguita is my go-to place. It’s cosy and gives you the old-fashioned tapa bar vibe.

Another fantastic experience for those who love wine is a winery tour where you can savour some of the local wines.

🚗 How to get from Estepona to Ronda : The easiest way to get to Ronda is by car via A-397.

A peekaboo view of Tower of Malaga Cathedral.

• Distance: 90.1 km (55.9 miles) – 1 hour and 15 minutes

Malaga is just over an hour from Estepona, and it’s a fantastic day trip for anyone who loves sightseeing because Malaga is more than the sun and beaches. I’m so happy more travellers appreciate all the things my hometown has to offer.

Is one day in Malaga enough? I would say yes if you want to explore the main attractions in the old town , but it isn’t if you like discovering the hidden gems.

If there’s one place you shouldn’t miss, it is the Alcazaba Palace. This jewel is rich in history and takes you back to the Moors period in Southern Spain. I love wandering its scented jasmine gardens, appreciating the Moorish architecture and taking in the panoramic views.

Next to the Alcazaba, you can easily visit the Roman Theatre and its Interpreting Centre.

I would also add the Picasso Museum Malaga and Malaga Cathedral to your list. Both places are worth visiting. If you love a city view, get the Cathedral tickets with access to its rooftop.

Last but not least, I can’t skip food! While you’re in my hometown, check out Atarazanas Market and have a meal at El Pimpi . The latter gets very busy, so I recommend booking in advance.

🚗 How to get from Estepona to Malaga : The quickest way to go to Malaga is by car via AP-7.

7. Setenil de las Bodegas

Cristina in Setenil de las Bodegas, Spain.

• Distance: 83.4 km (51.8 miles) – 1 hour and 20 minutes

If you are in love with the Andalusian white-painted villages, Setenil de las Bodegas needs to make it to your list.

In addition to the white buildings, what makes Setenil unique is its houses perched inside a cliff.

It’s a small village, but it’s worth wandering its hilly cobbled streets and contemplating the natural surroundings from its viewpoints.

Do you really need a full day in Setenil? No, but you can pair it with another small town like Olvera, visit the Ruins of Acinipo or Ronda. Also, if you don’t drive, you can still visit Setenil and Ronda on this guided tour with transport .

🚗 How to get from Estepona to Setenil de las Bodegas: The only way to get to Setenil is by car via A-397 (the route with tolls) or A-355 without tolls, but it takes longer (1 hour and 50 minutes).

8. Sierra de las Nieves

Cristina at the enchanted forest in Parauta, Spain.

• Distance: 83.1 km (51.6 miles) – 1 hour and 25 minutes

Sierra de las Nieves is a beautiful natural park not far from Estepona. It’s a fantastic day out during the shoulder season when it isn’t scorching.

I especially like to visit Sierra de las Nieves and its surroundings in November because you can see the stunning yellow and brown leaves and chestnuts.

There are many hiking trails in the area that go from easy peasy to challenging.

I recently discovered the town of Parauta , where you find the “Enchanted Forest” (Bosque Encantado in Spanish). This small hike has wooden statues of fairies and other magical creatures along the way. It’s definitely great for families.

Another worthwhile hike is Bosque de Cobre (the Cooper Forest). This one is much longer and better for regular hikers.

🚗 How to get from Estepona to Sierra de las Nieves : The only way to get to Sierra de las Nieves is by car via AP-7 and A-366. Note that this road is windy and not an easy one to drive.

9. Jerez de la Frontera

A white painted street in Jerez de la Frontera, Cadiz, Southern Spain.

• Distance: 141 km (87.6 miles) – 1 hour and 30 minutes

Jerez de la Frontera is a lovely town in the province of Cadiz. It’s a fantastic day trip from Estepona if you want sightseeing, flamenco and wine.

One of the best things to do in Jerez de la Frontera is visit its wineries. It’s actually here where you’ll find the famous Tío Pepe winery, which opened more than 180 years ago and was the first to export wines to other parts of the world.

If you’re up for a day of sightseeing, you don’t want to miss some of Jerez’s best attractions like the Alcazar, San Miguel Church, the Basilica and the Cathedral. On top of this, spend some time wandering Barrio de Santiago (Santiago neighbourhood), home to stunning architectural buildings.

Last but not least, Jerez is a fantastic place to enjoy a live flamenco show, so why not book one?

🚗 How to get from Estepona to Jerez de la Frontera : The fastest way to get to Jerez is by car via A-381. Note that this route has tolls.

10. Caminito del Rey

Caminito del Rey old pathway

• Distance: 103 km (64 miles) – 1 hour and 32 minutes

Caminito del Rey is one of the most unique hiking trails in the province of Malaga. Why? It’s said that this path was once the most dangerous in the world, and when you actually do this trail, you’ll understand why. Nowadays, you can still see the old path.

It’s a fun outdoor day trip from Estepona if you aren’t scared of heights. There are parts of the trail where you walk and see what’s underneath.

However, the landscapes are incredibly beautiful, and you can expect to see outstanding gorges, canyons, and valleys. Also, if you’re lucky, you might spot birds of prey and other small animals.

You can book your tickets and take the path at your own pace; however, I do recommend booking a guided tour , and that’s exactly what I did.

I enjoyed the tour guide’s explanations and learned much about the history, fauna and flora throughout the walk.

🚗 How to get from Estepona to Caminito del Rey : Getting to Caminito del Rey from Estepona by public transport is almost impossible, so the best way to do it is by car or taking a guided tour .

Places I wouldn’t visit on a day trip from Estepona

There are excursions from Estepona to Granada, but I don’t recommend them because you won’t have much time to explore everything Granada offers. If you’re only interested in the Alhambra, it might be worth it for you, but if you want to explore beyond the Alhambra, I recommend staying at least one night.

Similarly to Granada, you’ll spend a lot of time travelling and little time discovering the destination. In the case of Tangier, you also need to take a ferry and pass a country border, which adds up to your travelling time.

If you want to discover Tangier, go for a minimum of a full day.

Conclusion on the best excursions from Estepona

There are many gorgeous places to visit near Estepona, so whether you want to immerse yourself in nature, sip a glass of wine or discover a new museum or art gallery, you have plenty of options.

If you’re looking to discover the best areas of Estepona, start by exploring the town’s historic center, one of the most fun things to do in Estepona.

The Casa de las Tejerinas plays a big part in this town’s history and is named after the two sisters – Carmen and Francisco Tejerinas – who left the house to Estepona, so it could be turned into a hospital in the 1940s – one of the much higher standards than the one around at the time.

These days, the sisters would be happy to know that their former residence is one of the top things to do in Estepona.

The building is used as an exhibition and lecture space, where local and national artists come to present their books, art and music.

Marvel at Torre del Reloj

Estepona 3 day itinerary, Torre del Reloj, andalusia

As is true for most towns, cities, and pueblos across Andalusia , Estepona is also home to Moorish monuments, the most important of which is the Torre del Reloj .

This clock tower is the only surviving part of the former Los Remedios church, originally built in 1473 and destroyed by the 1755 earthquake.

A neo-classic dome was added to the clock tower in the 18th century and now looks over the Plaza del Reloj , which is one of those idyllic little places you stumble upon on a leisurely evening walk.

This is where many festive events are celebrated, including New Year’s Eve, when everyone gathers here to eat 12 grapes at each stroke of midnight.

Lunch at Las Gitanillas

Estepona 3 day itinerary, Lunch at Las Gitanilla, estepona restaurants

For the perfect place to soak up the Estepona atmosphere and every last bit of salsa on your plate with all the pan in the breadbasket, the Las Gitanillas restaurant is the place to go.

There are three things you can always count on in this town: the temperature in Estepona is perfect more than 300 days a year, there’s always buen rollo (good vibes), and the tapas are delicious!

Casa del Rey : Delight on a great assortment of tapas at the Casa del Rey in Calle Rafael , a tiny side street just off Plaza de los Flores .

With its cozy indoor patio sporting a decorative mural of a tree, the restaurants’ casual chic visuals will spur the appetite for seafood crepes, shared platters of Jamon Iberico , and other specialties.

El Toque: On the other side of town, close to the Puerto Deportivo (Estepona’s harbor), you’ll find the El Toque restaurant in the Calle Guadiaro .

Translated, “ el toque ” means “the touch” – and boy do they have that special touch when it comes to quality and beautifully prepared tapas.

From gourmet burgers to fish wraps, you can’t go wrong with any of the choices on the menu.

Visit Dolmenes de Coromínas (Archaeological Museum)

How to get there: By car, follow the Avenida Andalucia up towards the Poligono Industrial , if you’re coming through the city, or take the motorway in the direction of Algeciras (not to the toll road!).

Estepona is a relatively big town but if you’re just going to be exploring the center, then walking or biking is the best option – this will give you time to take it all in.

If you’re looking to head further out, towards the port, the mountains, or the Selwo Aventura area, you can do so by bus or car. A taxi to Sonora Beach in Selwo will cost you around €18.

Top 10: Excursions and activities in (or from) Estepona

excursions estepona

Regardless of the time of year in which you read this article, Estepona has a whole range of possibilities to offer you. And so that you don’t miss a single one of these wonders, I am going to propose a few activities to suit all tastes, combining nature with cultural activities.

I am sure you will find here a few tips to enjoy your visit to the fullest.

1. The beach.

Let’s not fool ourselves, if you are in Estepona in summer the beach can’t miss. So if you want to choose well where to go I recommend you to visit our selection of beaches . And of course, first, you have to know everything about the weather in Estepona .

2. Departure by boat.

With so much coastline and the wonderful marina, one of the best activities to do with a group, family or friends is a boat trip along our coasts. There are multiple possibilities: a romantic outing to watch the sunset, dolphin watching… You can even go and meet our volaores if you are in summer.

3. Beautiful villages.

It’s about time to take our feet out of the water. Why not visit some of our beautiful neighbors? You have everything you need to know in this article .

It’s not a town but it’s not much bigger either. The British colony The British Overseas Territory nestled in the strait is less than an hour’s drive to Britain.

Didn’t you know that you can have your picture taken with a llanito (that’s how they call them Gibraltarians) or a Gibraltar monkey? Well, for that and much more, here you have El Peñón.

A full day excursion in which you will be able to see:

  • The airport, because you have to go through it to get to the city.
  • The port with its marina, bars and restaurants.
  • The defensive walls and the castle.
  • The caves and particularly the cave of Saint Michel (worth a visit).
  • Punta Europa. No, it is not the southernmost part of Europe but it is very nice to see the strait from there.
  • Stroll down Main St (the main street) and mingle with everyone.
  • Ride the Cable Car up and visit the wild monkey population (well, there are wild monkeys in Jimena, not far from here, but the ones in Gibraltar are more like their human neighbors).

Monkey in Gibraltar

Some tips to enjoy Gibraltar:

  • Do not enter with your car: yes, gasoline is cheaper but you may have to queue for several hours to enter and leave (you have to go through customs in both directions) and the visit may become bitter if the wait is too long.
  • Everyone speaks Spanish, don’t worry.
  • Go into a pub and order a good English beer. Don’t worry, they serve it cold 😉
  • Pay by credit card. Yes, despite being British territory and having the pound as currency in the vast majority of places you can pay with euros but the exchange rate is not usually very advantageous (not that they cheat) so you can pay with your bank card and benefit from the best possible exchange rate, although you should check that your bank does not charge you commissions!
  • If you go to see the monkeys, don’t take out food and watch out for shiny objects.

5. Route of the murals.

We return to Spain so that without leaving Estepona you can enjoy an intense dose of Street Art like nowhere else: we promise.

Visit our article and get to know the route of the murals.

I recently took a mural tour of Paris in the 13th arrondissement and at the end I told the guide that I was disappointed. In my town there are more and better ones.

Baelo Claudia

6. Baelo Claudia.

A little further than Tarifa (which also has a visit), an hour and a bit by car you will find the remains of the Roman town of Baelo Claudia.

Perhaps soon we will write a complete article about this wonderful site but we can anticipate that it was a port city with a great administrative weight in the area and dedicated mainly to fishing and canning by salting tuna, as well as the production of garum.

The archaeological remains are very well preserved and the dimensions of the city are impressive. In addition, right next to it, you have the beach of Bolonia. A wonderful beach and natural environment with its fine sand dunes.

A word of advice, avoid Saturday and Sunday in summer because the queues of cars at the exit of the beach are important.

Round

Bandits, lost Frenchmen, a newly built bridge that falls down and a bullring. Everything is mixed together and the beautiful Ronda emerges.

An hour’s drive along a mountain road will take you to the wonderful Ronda. A lively and energetic city, but also full of traditions. It does not disappoint anyone who visits it.

It is split in two by the Tajo de Ronda.

Round from the sky

Here you will find a very particular architecture, conditioned by the Tagus. One of the most important bullrings in Spain where bullfights are held: Las Goyescas. Roman and Arab remains and sites and a whole cult to the bandit of the sierra complete a menu of your visit that, if you want to stay for lunch, you must complete with a local specialty: mainly rabbit.

Tangier

8. Tangier.

If after going to Gibraltar you still feel like leaving Spain, then get out of Europe and venture to Tangier in Morocco!

The city of Tangier is located in Africa, and yes, you can come and go in the day but ideally spend a night there. There is the possibility to stay in a Riad in the old town and immerse yourself in the daily life of the local people.

Going is quite simple: you have to go to Tarifa, get on a ferry and in about an hour you will have arrived. Just keep in mind that a passport is required!

Hedionda Baths

9. Baths of the Hedionda.

In the municipality of Casares is a little known and magical place.

These are ancient Roman baths that take advantage of a sulfurous tributary, i.e., medicinal baths in the open air and free access.

Hedionda Baths

There is a Roman construction and modern adaptations to secure and facilitate access. It is possible to enter an excavation in the river and, once inside the grotto, extract clay and apply it to the whole body.

Legend has it that Julius Caesar’s legions settled near this tributary to cure themselves of a scabies epidemic .

As I said, access is free but after the pandemic, the city council has regulated the entrance. A ticket must be requested from a website to avoid overcrowding. You can find out more here .

10. Enjoy Estepona.

In this tour we have spoken English, gone to Africa, visited Roman sites and traveled to the time of the bandits but in Estepona itself you have a multitude of activities to do and never stop.

For example, these four:

– A walk through the parks of Estepona .

– Have a drink at the Plaza de las Flores .

– Discover new artists at the Casa de las Tejerinas .

– Spending a day in the San Isidro Park .

We invite you to try each and every one of the options we put on the table. And then, if you feel like it, come back here and tell us about your experience.

Located just across the Strait of Gibraltar, its fusion of African and European styles makes  Tangier one of Morocco's most unique and interesting cities . Discover it on this day trip from Estepona!

Exploring Tangier's souk, or market

After picking you up in Estepona, we'll head to the  port of Tarifa , located in the southernmost point of Cadiz province. From the port, we'll take a ferry across the Strait of Gibraltar to the coastal Moroccan city of Tangier .

There, we'll go on a  sightseeing bus tour of the city, passing by monuments like the Sidi Bou Abib Mosque , famous for its striking pink minaret.

Next, we'll go on a guided tour of the center of Tangier, during which we'll explore the old town, or Medina , and the Kasbah , the spectacular medieval fortified citadel where we'll reveal curious secrets about historic Sultans.

The route will also take us to the  Tangier souk , the city's lively marketplace. Delve into the hustle and bustle of its winding lanes admiring the wares on sale, from spices and silks to the most unexpected of items!

The walking tour will come to an end at a local restaurant where we'll enjoy a traditional Moroccan lunch  with harira, beef skewers, chicken or vegetable couscous, and Moroccan tea and sweets.

After eating, we'll enter a bazaar to witness more of the local culture of Tangier . The colorful spices and beautiful rugs will leave you speechless!

Finally, we'll head back to the city's port for the return ferry to Tarifa. From there, we'll return to Estepona.
