CALM does Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) at Night 2024

snowdon charity trek

Sat, 20 Jul - Sun, 21 Jul

Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park

Registration fee

Fundraising target

Join us at our popular CALM-only Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon) at Night Hike and take on the highest mountain in England and Wales at 1085m, at night!

Beginning in the town of Llanberis, in the heart of the Eryri (Snowdonia) National Park, this spectacular challenge will see you and fellow fundraisers trekking to the top of Yr Wyddfa (Snowdon)....at night!

You will be fully supported all the way by our experienced Mountain Leaders and then celebrate at the finish line with a celebration breakfast.

This night time challenge will test your physical and mental limits but your efforts will be rewarded by knowing that all your hard work is going towards raising money to help CALM.

How to enter - There are two ways you can sign up

Minimum Sponsorship

There is a £40 registration fee and a £345 fundraising target.

Secure your place now.

You must be aged 14+ on event day to take part. Those aged 17 and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Anyone aged 14-15 taking part will need to complete a Young Person Enquiry form for Charity Challenge to review.

Self funder

There is a £40 registration fee, plus a balance of £169 due 5 weeks before the challenge, paid to our event provider, Charity Challenge. Sign up now.

There’s no minimum fundraising target, just raise as much as you can.

How we’ll support you

Whether it’s your first time taking on a challenge or you’re a seasoned pro, we’ll be right there with you every step of the way. We’ll make sure you have a fantastic experience being on Team CALM. When you join our team, you’ll receive:

Fundraising and training advice and resources

Full on-the-day support from our event partner Charity Challenge and the CALM team

CALM kit so you can look the part

Access to our CALM Walking Club Facebook group

12% off Cotswold Outdoor, Cycle Surgery, Snow and Rock, and Runners Need

Support materials (itinerary, kit list, fact file, Q&As, health notes, travel tips, responsible travel policy and guidance)

Charity Challenge neck buff, medal and certificate

A dedicated Fundraising Team to support you

Event accessibility

Due to the nature of the mountain, this event is not suitable for wheelchair users. Whilst it is possible for all terrain wheelchairs to go a short way along the event route, the mountain's many steps, uneven terrain and steep scree means that it is not generally suitable for wheelchair users to reach the summit.

Charity Challenge endeavour to support participants with physical disabilities and special accessibility requirements wherever possible and within the bounds of the event. Charity Challenge would recommend that anyone with a physical disability contact them directly to discuss the suitability of this event for them before booking.

Got a question?

Check out our FAQs . If you can’t find an answer there, get in touch and we’ll be happy to help.

Amy, CALM fundraiser:

CALM does an amazing job of smashing the stigma surrounding suicide, starting conversations that literally save lives. Taking part in a challenge is such a nice way to do something positive for those we've lost, all while raising money to help CALM continue to support anyone struggling

Charity Trek to Machu Picchu in Peru through the Lares Valley

The absolute BEST DAY for me was reaching Machu Picchu via the Sun Gate along the Inca trail...that was outstanding and something I’ll never forget! Thanks for an unforgettable experience.

Stok Kangri Charity Mountain Trek in India

The Stok Kangri Trek is the Ultimate Challenge. I was blown away by the scenery, the food, the people and the varied nature of this trip. From white water rafting, to crossing a river in a wooden box, to using crampons and an Ice Axe in action for the first time, to celebrating at the Taj Mahal. This Trek will stay with you forever - the best Charity Challenge experience I have had to date!! Roll on Trek no.7!

Rachel Walker

Stok Kangri Charity Mountain Trek in India

Amazing trek! The Himalayas are unbelievably beautiful and the people who live out there are genuinely lovely. It really makes you stop and think about the important things in life when you are living in a tent thousands of miles away from home. Do it- you won't regret it!
