The 44 Most Anticipated Tours of 2024: Taylor Swift, Bad Bunny, Olivia Rodrigo, and More

By Pitchfork

Mitski Burna Boy Olivia Rodrigo and more

It’s looking like a busy year for some of the world’s biggest touring artists, with packed schedules from Taylor Swift, Bruce Springsteen, Madonna, Bad Bunny, Foo Fighters, the Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chili Peppers, U2, Green Day, and many more. A few touring institutions, meanwhile, are just wrapping up, from Adele’s time in Las Vegas to Billy Joel’s Madison Square Garden residency and Bob Dylan’s seemingly never-ending Rough and Rowdy Ways trek. Some things, however, just never seem to change: You can expect the Ty Segalls and King Gizzards of the world to feature on these roundups till kingdom come, with reliable indie-rock staples like Destroyer, Wednesday, and Alvvays still out in force fighting for the cause, too.

After a residency that has spanned the best part of a year and brought hundreds of thousands of Adele fans to Las Vegas, the Tottenham superstar is closing the run with dates from January through June. “This residency, these shows have changed my life. I desperately needed to fall back in love with performing live again, and I have,” she said in the announcement. “It’s just made me realize how much I really enjoy being on stage, that I’m bloody good at it and that it is 100% where I belong! So let’s go one last time before I turn into a showgirl forever!” –Jazz Monroe

Right at the top of 2023, Belle and Sebastian shared a surprise album: Late Developers presented an array of playful indie-pop, and a companion of sorts to the previous year’s A Bit of Previous . In the meantime, Murdoch announced a memoirish novel and the band appeared on The Simpsons . –Jazz Monroe

This year marks the end of Billy Joel’s storied Madison Square Garden residency: the New York staple is set to retire his franchise with the venue after his 150th show in July. Since announcing the series in 2013, Joel has kept it a steady engagement, only taking off 18 months for the pandemic. While the residency is coming to a close, Joel does not yet plan to retire. –Hattie Lindert

The new leg of the tour—subtitled Big as the What?—begins later this month in Denver. –Hattie Lindert

Unofficially inspired to recreate the Predator handshake meme but for two different generations of emo-gone-pop-punk, Fall Out Boy and Jimmy Eat World are joining forces this spring for a 23-date tour of the United States, with the former headlining and the latter opening. Dubbed the So Much for (2our) Dust , it begins in Portland, Oregon, on February 28 and stretches on through to April 6, where the trek ends in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Both bands will also reunite in the fall for the Las Vegas music festival When We Were Young. If it’s anything like the first run of Fall Out Boy’s tour in support of their new album, So Much (for) Stardust , then fans can expect a thrilling career-spanning setlist that rotates in a few new songs each night. –Nina Corcoran

After being hospitalized for a severe bacterial infection last year, Madonna made a full recovery, in a turn she has referred to as “ a fucking miracle .” As a result, the pop legend finally kicked off the initial leg of her rescheduled Celebration Tour in October. The riotous Welsh rock band Mclusky, who last toured North America in 2004, were primed for a cross-Atlantic comeback run until disaster struck: bandleader Andrew “Falco” Falkous found himself working through a debilitating bout of tinnitus and other inner-ear problems. After some recuperation and with hearing protection in tow, Falkous and the band are due to make good on their return in March. The group shared a double A-side, “ Unpopular Parts of a Pig / The Digger You Deep ,” in September, as a high-spirited preview of a forthcoming full-length. –Allison Hussey

She may not be an outspoken artist online, but, behind the scenes, Mitski is making every word count. The result of her efforts is a North American tour with multiple nights at theaters around the country in support of The Land Is Inhospitable and So Are We . Tool haven’t released new music since 2019’s Fear Inoculum , but they’ve remained busy on the road. Following headlining and festival dates last year, the band has stadium and arena shows in January and February. Wondering what wild outfit Maynard James Keenan will wear this time? Will it be a blonde wig, red lipstick, and prosthetic breasts? A leather jumpsuit and a wild mohawk? Might as well go to one of these shows and find out. –Evan Minsker and Matthew Ismael Ruiz

Torres: 2024 Tour

One can never be sure exactly what to expect from a Ty Segall show, especially here in the post–Freedom Band era. His sets can be electric and wild, acoustic and intimate, maybe a bit psychedelic. With his 2024 dates behind the new album Three Bells , you can likely expect him to lean into his prog rock impulses. After some West Coast dates in February, he’s heading across North America in April and May. –Evan Minsker

Hayes Carll, 49 Winchester, Sylvan Esso, and Allison Russell will join Childers at different stops of the U.S. run. –Allison Hussey

During a Super Bowl musically dominated by the long-awaited return of Rihanna, U2 shared a commercial featuring a baby’s face in an orb. That mystical child heralded the band’s Las Vegas shows, where they’ve performed their 1991 album, Achtung Baby , from September into the first months of 2024. U2:UV Achtung Baby Live at the Sphere marked the opening of the MSG Sphere at the Venetian, which seats 17,500. With Larry Mullen Jr. taking time away from the band to recover from surgery, Bram van den Berg is playing drums at the shows. In a statement accompanying the announcement, the Edge used the phrase “the beauty of the Sphere” (speaking of the venue and not the baby from the Super Bowl spot). –Evan Minsker

The greatest live-music events are transporting experiences.

Whether their songs have been the soundtrack to your life or you just can’t help but bust a move when they play on the radio, many of music’s biggest acts are heading out on tour for 2023. You’ll spend the night in very good company as you see living legends of the music industry live, at these 10 top concerts set to tour the US in 2023.

Lizzo: The Special 2our

The three-time Grammy winner and recent Emmy recipient Lizzo returns to American stages in 2023 with the second leg of The Special 2our. The multi-hyphenate’s tour will make stops at 17 cities throughout North America , bringing all of Lizzo’s chart-topping hits including “Good as Hell,” “About Damn Time,” “Juice” and “Boys.” Expect an electric evening of female empowerment as Lizzo gets support from her troupe of “Big Grrrl” dancers, DJ Sophia Eris (who joins the star for a rousing rendition of Lauryn Hill’s “Doo Wop”), backup singers and an all-women band. No Lizzo concert would be complete without Sasha Flute, Lizzo’s prized woodwind, which she deploys several times each concert, including during “Truth Hurts” and “Juice.”

Where to get tickets: Tickets to see Lizzo live on tour are available through Ticketmaster .

Stevie Nicks and Billy Joel: Two Icons, One Night

Two of music’s most iconic living legends will share the bill for five rousing evenings of classic rock and soul at stadiums across the country. The Two Icons, One Night tour is a rare double bill of two legendary touring acts, Stevie Nicks and Billy Joel. The limited concert series will open March 10 at Los Angeles ’ SoFi Stadium, followed by one-nighters in Arlington, Texas ; Nashville ; Columbus; and a final evening in Kansas City , on August 19. Both musicians have continuously toured throughout the decades, with Nicks most recently wrapping up a sold-out tour in summer 2022, and Joel touring the world in addition to his record-breaking residency at New York City ’s Madison Square Garden .

Where to get tickets: Tickets to see the iconic duo are on sale now through Ticketmaster .

P!NK: Summer Carnival 2023

Buy a ticket to see P!NK in person, and you know the glam rock diva will soar – figuratively and literally. The singer/songwriter returns to the touring circuit with P!NK’s Summer Carnival 2023, an all-new stadium spectacular with musical guests Brandi Carlile, Pat Benatar and Neil Giraldo set to open on select dates, with Grouplove and KidCutUp performing at all shows. P!NK concerts offer a thrilling blend of her power vocals and cutting-edge stagecraft as the star can often be seen dangling upside over the crowd or crooning effortlessly from a trapeze swing. The pop legend’s tour arrives in US on July 26 in Cincinnati , followed by 20 performances across the country, concluding on October 9, 2023.

Where to get tickets: Tickets for P!NK’s upcoming Summer Carnival tour are available through Ticketmaster .

Adele performs onstage during the "Weekends with Adele" Residency at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA

Adele: Weekends with Adele at the Colosseum, Las Vegas

Adele’s new residency at the Colosseum is the hottest ticket in Las Vegas – and for good reason. The singer/songwriter is at the top of her game in a new production featuring her golden voice plus plenty of Vegas spectacle. The 20-song set list compiles her most popular hits, including a most appropriate opening of “Hello,” as well as such instant classics as “Rolling in the Deep,” “Set Fire to the Rain” and “Skyfall.” This residency is the rare chance to see the megawatt performer in a smaller venue – while there are 4000 seats, this is positively intimate compared to the large arenas she has played in the past.

Where to get tickets: The entire run of Weekends with Adele is sold out. If you’re looking to purchase tickets off a secondary market, make sure the secondary ticket vendor offers a 100% guarantee on your purchase to avoid scams.

Taylor Swift: Eras Tour

With Ticketmaster reporting “historically unprecedented demand,” Taylor Swift’s upcoming Eras Tour is one of the most sought-after concert tickets of just about any era. The highly anticipated 52-night stadium tour is the singer/songwriter’s return to the stage after her 2018 Reputation Tour was the highest-grossing of any in US history. Expect records to be shattered again, with tickets having sold out for the new tour in record time during the presale, alongside reports that demand “could have filled 900 stadiums.” Since Swift has released four albums since she last set out on the road, it’s anyone’s guess as to which songs will make the cut. Still, you can expect a lineup of megahits including “Shake It Off,” “Blank Space” and “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together” to be a part of the set list for certain.

Where to get tickets: Tickets on Ticketmaster were gone in a flash during the presale. Those seeking tickets through a secondary market should stick to a platform like StubHub and VividSeats that offers a 100% money-back guarantee in fraudulent scalping.

Usher performs at the grand opening of Usher: My Way - The Vegas Residency at Dolby Live at Park MGM on July 15, 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada

Usher: My Way – The Vegas Residency

Legendary singer/songwriter Usher is one of the greatest R&B showmen of all time. So there’s no question that his latest Vegas residency spanning his remarkable 20-year music career will be a spectacle of epic proportions. Set to return to the Dolby Live theater at Park MGM for 25 new dates from March through July 2023, Usher’s show will offer a rousing set list including many of his hits, such as “My Way,” “OMG” and “Yeah!” The high-voltage evening features plenty of spectacle, including a supporting cast of 23 dancers, roller skaters and pole dancers.

Where to get tickets: Tickets and premium packages can be booked through Usher’s Vegas Residency website .

Dead & Company: The Final Tour

Spanning more than five decades as the quintessential jam band, Dead & Company will hit the road for one final foray last time this summer. The Dead & Co. ensemble – currently led by original Grateful Dead members Bobby Weir, Bill Kreutzmann and Mickey Hart, joined by Oteil Burbridge, Jeff Chimenti and John Mayer – has continued the long legacy of the Grateful Dead by touring for each of the past eight summers. This summer, their final tour will serve as a bittersweet farewell as the band hangs up their guitars and tie-dye after having played more than 2300 concerts as the Grateful Dead. Expect Deadhead groupies from all around the world to descend for many nights of peace, love and happiness.

Where to get tickets: Tickets for Dead & Company’s final tour are available through Ticketmaster .

Singer Marc Anthony performs onstage during the VIVIENDO Tour, Inglewood, California, USA

Marc Anthony: VIVIENDO Tour

Don’t expect to be sitting down for most of Marc Anthony’s wildly energetic VIVIENDO Tour, set to tour the US in 2023. The three-time Grammy and seven-time Latin Grammy winner Anthony delivers a high-energy spectacle, the kind that gets you dancing along from the first down beat. Chart-topping hits fill the set list, including “Pa’lla Voy,” “Vivir Mi Vida” and “Valió la Pena.”

Where to get tickets: Tickets for Marc Anthony’s VIVIENDO Tour are available through Ticketmaster .

Beyoncé: Renaissance Tour

While details have yet to be fully released, Beyoncé will be celebrating her new album Renaissance with a live tour. The pop megastar is truly the first lady of music, having won 28 Grammys – the most by any female artist. If previous tours are any indication, Beyoncé will be making stops at major stadiums throughout the US, bringing with her a larger-than-life spectacle with dozens of backup dancers, pyrotechnics and stunning stagecraft. Renaissance  was built with the dance floor in mind – so get ready for a party like no other.

Where to get tickets: Dates and details for the tour have yet to be released. Sign up for Beyoncé’s newsletter on her official site to be among the first to know.

After 35 years, Broadway’s longest-running show will take its final bow on April 16, 2023. Hal Prince’s original staging remains as impressive as ever, featuring top-notch Broadway talent, a lush 27-piece orchestra and the iconic chandelier that crashes to the floor, night after night. The. Best. Night. Of. My. Entire. Life. This was the second time for me to see Adele. Last time I was quite high up, this time I was in Golden Circle. The atmosphere was incredible, Adele made me feel like I was the only one there in a packed out stadium. The banter she has with her audience in hilarious, she includes everyone and t feels like you're hanging out with your best mate you've known for years. As for her songs, the emotion and passion she sings with is just so raw and heart warming, I cried so many tears. You can tell she has an absolute ball on stage and she has so many upbeat songs and the sass she has is unreal- it cracks me up every time! I feel so grateful to have been apart of this tour and so happy that Adele decided to share this experience with every single one of us. I hope she has the most relaxing break with her family and hope she knows we'll always be here for her whenever/ if she decides to come back. Xx

Tyler, The Creator

I have been a fan of Tyler for a long time, as well as the whole group of OFWGKTA, and seeing him live was something I had on my bucket list. I went in with high expectations for his show, already knowing of how much energy and enthusiasm he puts into his live performances. What I got at The Forum went above and beyond anything I could have hoped for. The crowd was amazing, knowing every song and shouting and yelling along with unrivaled amounts of energy. Tyler was just as, or even more, energetic and knew how to work the crowd perfectly by interaction, be it between moments talking about random things or talking about his music and singing. I was blown away by the fact that at least twice he called to stop the song just to start it again because he loved how into it the crowd was and wanted to see it again. Of course we, the crowd, loved it and drained our lungs out with every lyric. I've seen the Arctic Monkeys, Sleigh Bells, Banks, Pendulum, Wolf Alice and others and can honestly say Tyler was the best overall. Everyone exited the venue with shirts soaked in sweat and with cracking voices, with grins on their face from having experienced something they'd never forget. If you like Tyler, or by extension OFWGKTA, you have to see him live if you get the opportunity, you can never anticipate how godly his live performances will be. I will definitely be waiting for his next visit to see him again.

Arcade Fire

They say perfection doesn't exist, well that's wrong when it comes to Arcade Fire. The show was perfect, almost surreal- definitely the concert of the year by far. The set list on the Wednesday show was as of it was made for me, playing songs I never thought I would hear live, it was an emotional experience. The lighting, costumes, music transitions, props was amazing, and the boxing type ring stage was incredibly clever, allowing them to be closer to the fans and yet providing a different show on every side. Words can't explain what I felt during and after the concert, it was playful, clever, emotional, energetic- Such an amazing band, I'm so glad I found them- I don't know how I was alive before finding them. They have such an incredible stage presence, I really truly recommend seeing them if you have the chance- they unite all ages and create magic and unity.

The War on Drugs

Grace is a highly underrated quality for a rock band to possess. When compared to other, more universal assets like rawness, volume and ability it might seem a little forgettable, but a band playing to the absolute best of their ability and making it look as natural as breathing can be the genesis of some truly unforgettable moments of live music. Not one band that I’ve seen sums this sight up as well as Philadelphia indie rockers The War on Drugs, and when it comes to their sold out show at the Koko, Camden’s most ornate venue, most traditional phrases describing a well played gig seem too violent to sum it up. They didn’t “smash it”, they didn’t “blow the roof off”, they didn’t “destroy the place”, they were far better than that. Make no mistake, Adam Granduciel and co played up a storm, their psychedelia inflected country-rock filling every inch of this beautiful venue but the atmosphere was unlike any gig I’ve been to in a very long time. The crowd lost themselves in the music in a way that didn’t lead to mindless moshing and crowd-surfing, the 1400 people were enraptured, moved by the music, not to the music. It was an experience as beautiful as it was exciting and anyone with a passing interest in this life affirming lunacy we call Rock and Roll should seek it out as soon as possible.

The most incredible, angelic, beautiful person to ever grace this earth. I've never been more stunned by a performance. SZA met and exceeded all of my expectations, I cannot put into words how amazing she is live. It's an experience you don't want to miss if you get the chance to see her. She was so happy and humble and was continuiously appoligizing for being sick and I honestly couldn't tell, that's how great she is. Also the experience brought me life not only because I got to see her preform but because everyone was singing every single word to every song with her. Truly incredible when you are surrounded in a room full of people singing your favorite songs at the top of their lungs. Needless to say I want a live version of ctrl after all of this so I can reminisce.

Moses Sumney

Moses was amazing. Very enigmatic but still approachable, and he had a lot of fun with the crowd. The performance was incredible, his voice is truly something to behold. I've listened to "Worth It" a million times but still got chills when he hit the high note. Would highly recommend seeing Moses live, especially before he gets really famous and expensive to see.

Music artists

For new users looking to follow their favorite bands and performers, our Artists pages are often the best place to start.

Whether you're on our site, or using our free app for iPhone and Android, the Songkick artists search engine is the fastest and simplest way to keep track of who's doing what right now. Be the first to learn which acts are touring, when they might be playing a venue near you, and how to get tickets for any future shows you like the sound of.

Looking to discover someone new? Hey, you’re our kind of music fan. That's why we've also included upcoming Live Stream Concerts alongside our artist searches, meaning you can easily schedule a more casual drop-in from the comfort of your couch.

Since launching our first app back in 2007, you guys - the fans, the concert-goers, the musical explorers - have been at the very heart of everything we do here. Our dream and our drive was always to bring Songkick members closer than ever before to the sounds they love, and the people who create them. Simply put, we pride ourselves on being your direct link to the greatest music artists on the planet.

Who are they, exactly? Well, according to our members, that changes almost by the hour...so let's talk about how Songkick keeps you in the loop.

Best live artists

A quick glance at our Most Popular Artists chart might tell you a few key things about the sorts of music fans we vibe with. For starters, it shows just how varied our members' tastes are. Pop, rock, dance, hip-hop, indie/alt and R&B all feature heavily, alongside a whole bunch of underground genres and rising scenes.

No two of you are quite the same - and frankly, we love to see it! Any time you check in, our 'most popular artists worldwide' and 'trending artists this week' leaderboards always read like a line-up for the greatest, most diverse live festival on Earth.

Among the top searches and best-selling music artists on our global roster, you might find anyone from Rhianna, Coldplay, Eminem and Ed Sheeran, through to Drake, U2, Kanye West,

Maroon 5, Beyoncé, The Midnight, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Taylor Swift, Calvin Harris, Imagine Dragons, Justin Bieber - and that's barely looking outside the top 20.

After all, if the weekly race for a spot on our most popular charts tells us anything, it's that the whole concept of 'best live bands' is a tricky one to pin down. Everybody's looking for a completely different type of experience, every night of the year.

That's another thing we love about our users: you're incredible at keeping us on our toes. In return, we’ve made it our mission to help keep you on yours.

Find and follow your favorite artists on Songkick

When people talk about the 'best live bands in the world', a few big names will reliably come up time and time again. Just as crucially, there'll always be a good handful of newcomers, hot tips and total curveballs in there too.

For us and our members alike, that's a huge part of what keeps the live concert scene so fresh and exciting. There's nothing quite like the thrill of discovering a new favorite artist you'd previously never even heard of - and when that discovery involves a performer blowing you away with an incredible live show or streamed concert, the feeling is enhanced tenfold.

Songkick started out with the goal of helping you capture that moment as often as possible. Now, more than a decade into this, it's 100% what we're still about today.

New members visiting our site or downloading the app can use our powerful search tools to stay ahead of the game. Simply log in with a user profile to keep tabs on more than 6 million bands, shows, festivals and live streams. By joining them, you'll be sharing a platform with 15 million fellow music fans worldwide, all using Songkick to:

It’s time to tee it up at The Masters, and the first major of the year on the PGA Tour draws major wager action. The Masters field of 89 players was finalized Sunday with Akshay Bhatia punching his ticket to Augusta by winning the Valero Texas Open in a playoff over Denny McCarthy. The player profiles and 2024 Masters odds to win the green jacket are here for review—with 9 top profiles and performances at Augusta National outlined for the most bet golfers to win the 88th edition of The Masters. Now we add the back 9 at Augusta with a total of 18 holes, golfer profiles and performances, along with other capable players and longshots who could outperform their odds and cash in for bettors with a top finish on the leaderboard.

The top finishing position odds will be posted by the leading online sportsbooks early in the week and added here for reference and consideration, along with other prop bets that make watching and wagering on The Masters one of the most action-packed betting events on the PGA Tour—with adjusted odds and live betting driving additional interest and handle.

Scottie Scheffler, Masters Favorite

World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler (+400) is the prohibitive favorite by a wide margin to win The Masters and his second green jacket after winning the 2022 event by 3 strokes over Rory McIlroy (+1000), who is the second choice on the odds board at FanDuel and leading online sportsbooks. Not only are Scheffler’s stats dominant at the Par 72 Augusta National course, but he also enters in top form having won the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players Championship last month.

Here is the Scottie Scheffler Masters profile along with performances of the top 9 golfers and odds at The Masters. Also included in the link is the hole-by-hole description, yardage and difficulty rank by scoring from the 2023 Masters.

  • Scottie Scheffler (+400): The 2022 Masters champion finished T10 last year at Augusta, and he’s one of just three players to finish top 25 in each of the last four years at The Masters (Matsuyama, Lowry). The 27-year-old Scheffler has won twice on Tour this year and his pre-tournament odds are cut in half from last year’s Masters and the lowest pre-tournament favorite since Tiger Woods (+350) in 2013. Over his last 36 rounds, Scheffler ranks No. 1 in strokes gained Total and Approach. He also ranks No. 1 in SG: Ball Striking at Augusta since making his Masters debut. Scheffler maintains his standing as the No. 1 ranked player in the world and a popular pick again at historically low odds. Scheffler is +1200 to be leading The Masters at the end of Round 1.

Full Player-by-Player Guide To The Masters

  • Hole 10: Camellia — Par 4, 495 yards (Rank 9)

Will Zalatoris (+3500): Will Z. nearly won the 2021 Masters in his debut and finished solo second. The sensational ball striker showed his skills and love for the layout again in 2022 with a T-6 finish before missing the 2023 event and most the year following a back injury suffered in the The Players Championship. The 27-year-old has now shot 6-of-8 rounds under par at Augusta National, and he has 6 top-10 finishes in 8 majors starts. Zalatoris has finished T2 at The Genesis Invitational and T2 and T4 in the Arnold Palmer Invitational this Spring and his odds to win the Masters dropped from 50/1. Concerns are his Strokes Gained Around-the-Green and Puttings stats rank outside the top-150 over his last 24 rounds.

  • Hole 11: White Dogwood — Par 4, 520 yards (Rank 3)

Dustin Johnson (+3500): Need a big hitter to tee it up on the long, tough Par 4 at 11, and 2022 rain-softened November Masters winner Dustin Johnson fits the hole to a tee. The 39-year-old LIV Golfer is beyond his best days when he rose to World No. 1 in 2017 and remained there for 64 consecutive weeks. But he won the 2024 LIV Golf event in Las Vegas over Super Bowl week, and he has six top-12 finishes at The Masters since 2015.

  • Hole 12: Golden Bell — Par 3, 155 yards (Rank 12)

Tony Finau (+4000): Finau had three top-10 finishes in his first four appearances in The Masters, but has finished outside the top-25 the last two years. He fired a sizzling 64 on Saturday in the 2019 event and played in the final group with winner Tiger Woods. Finau broke through for three Tour wins in 2022 after a run of 57 top-1o finishes on Tour. The 34-year-old finished T2 in the recent Houston Open despite losing more than 3-strokes putting while leading the field Tee-to-Green. Finau’s elite long game makes him viable again but his putrid putting needs to improve significantly ranking outside the top-160 over his last 24 rounds.

Get your bets in and live wagering on your mobile around Amen Corner .

  • Hole 13: Azalea — Par 5, 545 yards (Rank 15)

Wyndham Clark (+3000): The best player behind Scottie Scheffler on Tour the past 12 months is Wyndham Clark. He won the U.S. Open, two Signature events plus another 2nd and runner-up in The Players Championship and 3rd at the Tour Championship. Still a wild card as the 30-year-old rapid riser to No. 4 in the world makes his Masters debut. Solid stats and performances leading into playing Augusta National, but he’s lost strokes Around the Green in four of his last five starts.

  • Hole 14: Chinese Fir — Par 4, 440 yards (Rank 8)

Shane Lowry (+4000): Since 2015, the 37-year-old Irishman and 2019 Open Championship winner has just one win in the U.S. His putting has held him back, but Lowry’s Tee-to-Green game has been among the top-tier in golf. Lowry ranks No. 205 in 4th round putting out of 214 qualified players the past past 3 years, losing an average of more than a half-stroke per round. Yet Lowry has still managed to finish with 18 Top 20’s over that period including with strong current form entering the Masters with a T4, 3rd and T19 at The Players Championship his last three events in March.

  • Hole 15: Firethorn — Par 5, 550 yards (Rank 16)

Cam Smith (+3000): The 30-year-old LIV Tour golfer needs his irons to click to offset his sub-par driving. But his short game and touch around green are terrific, which has led to strong performances at Augusta. Smith has four top-10 finishes in six starts at Augusta inclucing a runner-up fnish in 2020 November Masters when he became the first in Masters history to record four rounds in the 60’s in a single tournament. In the 2022 Masters, Smith played with Scottie Scheffler in the final pairing on Sunday before finishing T3.

  • Hole 16: Redbud — Par 3, 170 yards (Rank 14)

Tommy Fleetwood (+4000): The 33-year-old Englishman has yet to win on the PGA Tour. But he’s a seven-time DP World Tour winner who has flashed and finished well in PGA Tour events over the past few years with a pair of top-10’s this year and seven top-10’s since the 2023 Masters where he finished T33 after finishing T14 in 2022. His Approach stats have been poor losing strokes in five of his last six starts entering his eighth Masters start but he’s gained strokes Around the Green in seven of his last eight starts.

The 16th hole, Redbud , so perfectly suits its surroundings because the pond, rather than reflecting, seeems almost to gather in shapes and colors of the season. Current 2024 Masters competitors Shane Lowry (2016 at 5:25 minute mark), Justin Thomas (2019 at 7:10), Tommy Fleetwood (2021 at 7:30) and 2013 Masters champion Adam Scott (2012 at 3:45) made hole-in-ones here.

Tiger Woods chip shot at No. 16 in the 2005 Masters might be the most famous in the entire history of the tournament.

  • Hole 17: Nandia — Par 4, 440 yards (Rank 4)

Patrick Cantlay (+3300): Like his good friend Xander Schauffele, the 32-year-old Cantlay is one of the best golfers today to not yet win a major. He has just one top-10 in seven Masters starts and finished T14 last year after a final round 75 and another sub-par putting performance. The 32-year-old 2021 FedEx Cup Champion finished top-5 in the 2024 Genesis Invitational, but he ranks outside the top-100 in SG: Approach and Around the Green over his last 24 rounds. Six top-15 finishes in his last 10 majors provides hope for another top finish.

  • Hole 18: Holly — Par 4, 465 yards (Rank 2)

Ludvig Aberg (+2500): Among the top 10 on the odds board to win the Masters in his debut is the 24-year-old Swedish sensation. Aberg (pronounced ' Oh Bear ') has unlimited potential and he won the Euro Masters just prior to Ryder Cup last year shortly after turning pro, and then won on the PGA Tour. Since leaving Hawaii, he’s 5-for-5 finishing Top 25 with three top-10’s including a runner-up finish. We put the rising superstar on the 18th hole as he’s a capable contender who will try to be the first Masters champion to win on debut since Fuzzy Zoeller in 1979.

Today’s stars who came close to winning in their Masters debut are FanDuel ambassador Jordan Spieth (2014), Jason Day (2011), Sungjae Im (2020) and Will Zalatoris (2021), who all finished runner-up.

In the clubhouse with 18 more holes and 18 other honorable mention players as Masters contenders for a top finishing position:

Joaquin Niemann (+3000): The 25-year-old is shining on the LIV Golf Tour this year and he’s won three times in five starts between DP Tour and LIV Tour. Niemann averages 315 yards off the tee—second-longest on LIV Golf. His odds to win The Masters have dropped sharply, but he still only has one top-20 finish in 19 major championship starts.

Cameron Young (+5000): The 2022 PGA Tour Rookie of the Year has yet to win on Tour, but the 26-year-old has a pair of top-5 finishes in March leading into The Masters. He missed the cut badly in his Masters debut in 2022, but had a strong showing in the 2023 Masters finishing T7 despite shooting 75 on Saturday.

Matt Fitzpatrick (+4500): The 29-year-old Englishman won the U.S. Open in 2022 and finished top-21 in all four majors. He has 11 other top-10’s worldwide and went a calendar year without losing strokes off tee. However, he’s lost strokes on more than 75% of his starts since the 2023 U.S. Open last year. He’s also 8-for-8 making the cut at Augusta as a pro and finished T14 in 2022 and T10 in 2023 but has not shot in the 60’s in his last 17 rounds in The Masters.

Collin Morikawa (+5000): The 27-year-old is not in prefered form but his Masters log reads T10 in 2023 after opening strong with 69-69 into the weekend, T5 in 2022 and T18 in 2021 in four total starts. But Morikawa has just one top-20 since the 2024 opening Sentry tournament and his putrid Putting ranks outside the top 170 his last 24 rounds and outside the top-100 Around the Green.

Tyrrell Hatton (+6500): Undervalued and a stronger performer now on the LIV Golf Tour, Hatton has 15 tops 20’s in 21 final events last year including four top 6 Signature events plus a top-2o in the PGA Championship and Open Championship before joining LIV Golf. But his best finish in The Masters is T18 (2021) in seven starts.

Russell Henley (+7000): Another vastly underrated player who just finished 4th at the Valero Texas Open and also top-5 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and Sony Open. The 34-year-old finished T4 at the 2023 Masters and also has two other top-15 finishes at Augusta in 2017 and 2018.

Sahith Theegala (+5500): The 26-year-old he drives it well and he’s finished top-10 four times in 2024 plus a top-10 in his Masters debut in 2023 with a best round of 67 on Sunday.

Max Homa (+4500): Quitely ranked No. 10 in the world, the 33-year-old Homa is driving the ball poorly and producing his worst Tee-to-Green stats since 2010. He’s also finished top-10 in just one major over xx starts and not cutting it at Augusta with two missed cuts and two finishes outside the top-40 with zero rounds in the 60’s.

Sunjae Im (+5500): The 26-year-old South Korean finished T-2 at the 2020 Masters in his debut, T16 in 2023 and T-8 in 2022 after opening with a 67 but closing with 75 on Sunday.

Sam Burns (+4500): The 27-year-old joins other honoralbe mentions Aberg, Young, Hatton, Henley, Homa, Theegala and Im shooting for their first major title. The 5-time PGA Tour winner missed the cut in his Masters debut and finished T29 last year shooting 78 on Saturday. He’s never finished top-10 in any major, but Burns enters with four top-10 finishes in January and February this year.

Jason Day (+6000): Day finished top-25 or better in The Masters four straight years from 2016-2019, including T-5 in 2019. He also finished T-2 on debut in 2015 the year he rose to No. 1 in the world. The 36-year-old has not been playing as well as early 2023 when he rose from No. 112 in the world to No. 33 ahead of The Masters. He’s currently ranked No. 22 with a pretty good shot to finish top-20 and outperform these odds.

Corey Connors (+8000): The underrated 32-year-old Canadian has finished top-10 in The Masters in three of his four starts at Augusta.

Denny McCarthy (+12000): The elite putting 31-year-old just finished runner-up in the Valero Texas Open after losing in a playoff to Sahith Theegala. But his 92 total putts were the fewest in a PGA Tour event since 1983. McCarthy has lost strokes on Approach four of his last five events and Off-the-Tee in four of his last six as he makes his Masters debut.

Rickie Fowler (+12000): The 35-year-old found his groove again on Tour last year, and makes his first Masters start since 2020. Fowler finished T11, 2nd and T9 in The Masters from 2017-2019.

Nick Taylor (+25000): The 26-year-old Taylor makes his second Masters start after finishing T29 in the November 2020 Masters. The 35-year-old Canadian won last year’s Canadian Open, and his Putting and Approach stats rank top-20 over his last 24 rounds while winning the Phoenix Open and T12 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational.

Tiger Woods (+6000): These odds are ridiculously low for the 48-year-old 5-time Masters champion. Same for 3-time Masters champion Phil Mickelson (+6500). Great to have them playing along with 43-year-old 2012 Masters champion Adam Scott (+6000), who will finish ahead of both of them with three top-20’s this year.

Strokes Gained data shows that 7 of the last 9 Masters winners ranked top-6 for the week in SG: Approach. Augusta remains a rewarding second-shot golf course with Around-the-Green performance another key to contending for the green jacket.

2024 Masters odds, field: Surprising PGA picks, predictions from same golf model that's nailed 10 majors

Sportsline's proven model simulated the masters 2024 10,000 times and revealed its pga golf picks for augusta national.

rory-tiger-usatsi.jpg

Jordan Spieth has had plenty of success at the Masters over the years. Spieth won his first green jacket in 2015 and secured a runner-up finish the following year. In 2023, Spieth recorded a fourth-place finish at Augusta National Golf Club. The 30-year-old could find himself in the mix again at Augusta National when the 2024 Masters gets underway on Thursday, April 11. Spieth, a 13-time PGA Tour champion, is 20-1 according to the 2024 Masters odds. Scottie Scheffler, the No. 1 ranked player in the world, is the 13-4 favorite, while Rory McIlroy (10-1), Brooks Koepka (11-1) and Jon Rahm (12-1) are next in line on the PGA odds board.

Tiger Woods, a five-time Masters champion, is among the 2024 Masters longshots at 100-1, but could be among the 2024 Masters sleepers given his mastery of Augusta National. Before locking in any 2024 Masters picks of your own, entering picks on sites like DraftKings or FanDuel, or finalizing Masters props and Masters Pick Six entries, be sure to see the 2024 Masters golf predictions and projected leaderboard from the proven computer model at SportsLine .

SportsLine's proprietary model, built by DFS pro Mike McClure, has been red-hot since the PGA Tour resumed in June 2020. In fact, the model is up nearly $9,500 on its best bets since the restart, nailing tournament after tournament. McClure's model predicted Scottie Scheffler would finish on top of the leaderboard at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and The Players Championship this season. McClure also included Hideki Matsuyama in his best bets to win the 2024 Genesis Invitational. That bet hit at +9000, and for the entire tournament, McClure's best bets returned nearly $1,000. The model also predicted Jon Rahm would be victorious at the 2023 Sentry Tournament of Champions and The American Express. At the 2023 Masters, the model was all over Rahm's second career major victory heading into the weekend. Rahm was two strokes off the lead heading into the third round, but the model still projected him as the winner. It was the second straight Masters win for the model, which also nailed Scheffler winning in 2022. In addition, McClure's best bets included Nick Taylor (70-1) winning the 2023 RBC Canadian Open, Jason Day (17-1) winning outright at the 2023 AT&T Byron Nelson, and Rickie Fowler (14-1) finishing on top of the leaderboard at the 2023 Rocket Mortgage Classic. This same model has also nailed a whopping 10 majors entering the weekend, including the past two Masters. Anyone who has followed it has seen massive returns.

Now that the Masters 2024 field finalized, SportsLine simulated the tournament 10,000 times, and the results were surprising. Head to SportsLine now to see the projected leaderboard.

Top 2024 Masters predictions

One major surprise the model is calling for at the 2024 Masters: Rory McIlroy, a four-time major champion and one of the co-favorites, fails to complete the career grand slam and barely cracks the top five at Augusta National. McIlroy has had success at the Masters throughout his career, securing a top-10 finish in seven of his last 10 starts at Augusta.

However, McIlroy has struggled at the Masters in recent years, missing the cut in two of his last three starts at Augusta. He's also finished 19th or worse in five of his last six starts on the PGA Tour. McIlroy's struggles this season can be directly attributed to his inconsistencies on the green. The 34-year-old enters the 2024 Masters ranked 79th in strokes gained: putting (0.119), 78th in total putting (183.8) and 69th in putts per round (28.70), which doesn't bode well for his chances to finish on top of the leaderboard at Augusta National.

Another surprise: Ludvig Aberg, a 25-1 longshot, makes a strong run at the title. He has a much better chance to win it all than his odds imply, so he's a target for anyone looking for a huge payday. Aberg has recorded just one win on the PGA Tour, but he's only made 24 career starts. He's made the cut in 21 of those 24 events and recorded one runner-up finish in eight starts this season.

Aberg is effective off the tee, which allows him to be aggressive with his irons. The 24-year-old enters the Masters 2024 ranked 11th in total driving (104), 15th in strokes gained: off the tee (0.513) and 19th in driving distance (307.5). His ability to put himself in advantageous positions off the tee is a big reason why he's hitting 69.71% of greens in regulation this season, which ranks 27th on tour. Those impressive stats, plus his long odds, make Aberg a strong play for your 2024 Masters bets, according to the model.  See who else to pick here .

How to make 2024 Masters picks

The model is also targeting four other golfers with odds of 20-1 or longer to make a strong run at the green jacket. Anyone who backs these longshots could hit it big. You can only see the model's picks here .

Who will win the 2024 Masters, and which longshots will stun the golfing world? Check out the Masters 2024 odds below and then visit SportsLine to see the projected Masters leaderboard, all from the model that's nailed 10 golf majors, including last year's Masters and Open Championship .

Niagara Falls, Washington DC, Philadelphia & Amish Country 4D/3N (from New York)

A hectic and fast paced trip, starting with early mornings. Loved Niagara Falls and being able to go to the Canadian side for one night (remember to apply for a Canadian Esta and bring your passport). Pennsylvania and Amish country side was a treat. Wish we had more time there. Love hearing about American history. Then Washington DC- amazing city. We disembarked after touring DC monuments and aeronautical museum and spent two more days in DC. Wharf, eateries, sights and monuments within reach.

Boston Cape Cod & The Islands (Classic, 8 Days)

Cons: 1. Daniel Webster Inn was over-rated. Would not stay there again. 2. Visit to the Plimouth Plantation was a waste of time. Spent way too much time there. 3. Transportation from Logan Airport to the Boston Hyatt was a mess!!!! No signs, no directions, and the taxi driver had no idea what to do with the voucher. Ended up paying for the taxi! Ridiculous!! 4. Service at the included dinner at the Daniel Webster Inn was horrible!! Kathy (our waitress) should be fired! However, the food was delicious! 5. Not enough time spent in Nantucket. 6. Way too much time spent at the Breakers in Newport. 7. This should not be considered an 8-day tour. All we did on day 8 was ride on the bus to the airport! Pros: 1. Tour director Robin was outstanding!! Wellness director, Brittany, was also fabulous! 2. Canolis, Cape Code Chips and Cape Codders on the bus was a nice touch! Thoroughly enjoyed the snacks on the bus! 3. Ferry to Martha's Vineyard was fun! Thoroughly enjoyed the talk session/information about the Martha's Vineyard Camp Meeting Association. Very interesting. 4. Local guide tour of Nantucket Island was great! Lots of interesting information. Not enough time spent in Nantucket. 5. Loved the Harbor View hotel! 6. Sailing on the Adirondack II was THE BEST!! Need to offer more than one Mimosa! 7. Luggage service was great.

Expert Picks: Masters Tournament

Expert Picks

Change Text Size

How it works: Each week, our experts from PGATOUR.COM will make their selections in PGA TOUR Fantasy Golf. Each lineup consists of four starters and two bench players that can be rotated after each round. Adding to the challenge is that every golfer can be used only three times per each of four Segments.

Aside from the experts below, Golfbet Insider Rob Bolton breaks down the field at the Masters Tournament in this week's edition of Power Rankings .

Betting picks

WILL GRAY (Lead, Fantasy & Betting)

  • Winner: Scottie Scheffler (+400) – It’s not sexy, but I’ve spent too much time trying to rationalize a pick on someone else. At the end of the day, Scheffler was red-hot heading into his 2022 Masters triumph – and he’s playing materially better this time around.
  • Top 10: Ludvig Åberg (+225) – We all know the trends against first-time winners, but they don’t apply to the finish markets. Åberg led the Valero field in SG: Tee-to-Green last week and has all the skills required to contend in his major championship debut.
  • Longshot: Russell Henley (+6000) – The former Georgia Bulldog finished T4 here a year ago and has been known to heat up on the greens from time to time. Two top-5s in his last three starts show signs of promise.
  • H2H: Chris Kirk (-120) over Keegan Bradley – There aren’t a ton of course comps for Augusta National, but there are some undeniable parallels with the terrain of Kapalua. Expect the Sentry champ to play well, having finished T23 here last year, while Bradley has missed three of four cuts entering the week.

BEN EVERILL (Senior writer, Fantasy & Betting)

  • Winner: Xander Schauffele (+1600) – Look, we all know Scheffler has the chance to take this tournament and run with it but my process of elimination story brought me a winner last year and I’m banking it can do it again. Schauffele is ready to contend again… and you have to be knocking on the door to eventually be let in. Back off my blacklist and into the furnace!
  • Top 10: Sahith Theegala (+320) – I really like Theegala as an outright option here over the next few years. T9 a year ago with a hot finish and another year wiser to his game. He still has more foul balls off the tee than I’d like but if he can get away with those this week he’s a chance.
  • Longshot: Jason Day +6600 – Longshots don’t win the Masters and my campaign to move the threshold to +4000 this week fell on deaf ears (Zalatoris, Finau, Smith…). But how can I not plump for the man who – in his prime – had me declaring he’d win two green jackets in his lifetime? Multiple chances in the past… why not another.
  • Head to Head: Shane Lowry (-110) over Collin Morikawa – Lowry’s Tee-to-Green game has been good of late whereas Morikawa is in a ball-striking slump compared to his usual high standards. This is as much a Morikawa fade as anything else.

CHRIS BREECE (Senior Content Manager Golfbet)

  • Winner: Scottie Scheffler (+400) – I’ll be that guy. My three finalists were him, Spieth and Schauffele. It came down to who I trusted most to win. And it’s not even close.
  • Top 10: Matt Fitzpatrick (+275) – I’m staying patient and not backing off my support of him. He had the best weekend of anyone in San Antonio and I still feel like he has great golf ahead of him.
  • Longshot: Max Homa (+5500) – I know what you’re thinking. However, name me a player with more talent/star power whose odds are above +5000.
  • H2H: Shane Lowry (-110) over Collin Morikawa – I almost picked Lowry for the top 10. Generally plays well here and has been in good form.

MATT DELVECCHIO (Social content manager, Fantasy & Betting)

  • Winner: Will Zalatoris (+4000) – Beware the hungry dog runs faster. It’s comeback time for the previous major runner-up. He’s come back to good form from his back surgery with a three-game stretch of T13, T2 and T4 earlier in the year. He played with Tiger on Monday and saw how great he looked recovering from his own surgery. Will even talked about the influence Tiger's comeback has had on his own journey. People are sleeping on Zalatoris' comeback because of his MC at THE PLAYERS and T74 in Houston. Augusta will bring something out of him. Zalatoris is ready to be among the top players in the world and will show it this week.
  • Top 10: Bryson DeChambeau (+300) – It’s been four years since he called Augusta National a par 67. He is older and wiser now to say such a thing. DeChambeau's game fits Augusta well and I see him taking a big charge at this championship in a quest to become a two-time major champion.
  • Longshot: Sam Burns (+5500) – The only reason I’m taking him here is that I’ve liked him to win for the past couple of months now and he hasn’t. A wise man once said, “if you like a player to win soon, more likely than not they will”.
  • H2H: Lowry (-110) over Morikawa – Collin’s game is a mystery this year. Most alarming has been his iron play which in past years has been seen as unstoppable. Combo that with the fact that Lowry does like Augusta and is in relatively good form as of late. I’ll take the current form over past success.

The nine best bets to win this year’s Masters

biggest us tour

The PGA Tour schedule so far this season has been ruled by long shots. Take away Scottie Scheffler’s two victories in 2024, and the tournament winners have mainly come out of nowhere.

That trend is unlikely to continue this week at the Masters , where surprise winners are rare. Yes, you’ll occasionally see triumphant golfers such as 60-to-1 long shot Danny Willett in 2016 or 40-to-1 Hideki Matsuyama in 2021, but most Masters champions follow the same criteria: They have good history at Augusta National, good form entering the tournament and good standing in certain key metrics.

While it’s hard to judge the form of the 13 LIV golfers in the field because they play less often and in less-challenging fields, we have a pretty good sense of what a Masters winner should look like:

He’s good at Augusta National: According to Datagolf, course history is far more predictive at Augusta National than at any other course in the PGA Tour rotation. Nine of the past 14 winners (and 13 of the past 18) had a previous green jacket or a top-10 Masters finish.

He’s not a Masters rookie or an amateur: Only three players have won the Masters in their first appearance at the tournament, the last being Fuzzy Zoeller in 1979. I won’t be considering the following Augusta National first-timers: Ludvig Aberg, Wyndham Clark, Eric Cole, Nick Dunlap, Austin Eckroat, Ryo Hisatsune, Lee Hodges, Nicolai Hojgaard, Jake Knapp, Peter Malnati, Denny McCarthy, Grayson Murray, Matthieu Pavon, Adam Schenk and Stephan Jaeger. Plus, no amateur has won the Masters, and there are five in this year’s field: Santiago de la Fuente, Stewart Hagestad, Christo Lamprecht, Neal Shipley and Jasper Stubbs. In terms of picks to win, you can ignore them.

He’s highly ranked: Of the past 24 Masters winners, 17 entered the tournament in the top 12 of the Official World Golf Ranking, and 22 were in the top 30. But because the OWGR does not award ranking points to LIV golfers , who have plummeted down the rankings board, this trend has become a bit dicey. LIV’s Brooks Koepka had at least a share of the lead for the first three rounds at last year’s Masters before he fell apart on Sunday.

He’s in good form: Of the past 13 Masters champions, only Matsuyama in 2021 did not have at least two top-12 stroke-play finishes in the calendar year of the tournament, either on the PGA Tour or the European Tour. These golfers haven’t exactly been tearing it up this year (or are well past their primes), and they’re off my list: Fred Couples, Rickie Fowler, Ryan Fox, Lucas Glover, Sungjae Im, Zach Johnson, Tom Kim, Kurt Kitayama, Min Woo Lee, Luke List, Phil Mickelson, Collin Morikawa, José María Olazábal, Patrick Reed, Justin Rose, Charl Schwartzel, Vijay Singh, Sepp Straka, Camilo Villegas, Bubba Watson, Mike Weir, Willett, Gary Woodland and Tiger Woods.

He’s good on par-4s: Of the past 11 Masters champions, nine ranked first, second or third in the field in par-4 scoring during the tournament. Nine of the past 12 winners also entered the tournament ranked 11th or better in the PGA Tour’s par-4 birdie-or-better statistic . Rory McIlroy, for instance, ranks 70th in par-4 scoring and 72nd in par-4 birdie-or-better this season, and I won’t be betting him to end his Masters jinx this week. Other golfers who aren’t attacking par-4s this season include Cam Davis and Will Zalatoris (though the latter is tempting because of his strong Augusta National history).

He’s not the defending champion: Only three players since 1960 have won back-to-back Masters — Jack Nicklaus in 1965-66, Nick Faldo in 1989-90 and Tiger Woods in 2001-02. Since 2002, only Woods (2006) and Jordan Spieth (2016) have finished in the top five as the defending champion. Three of the past seven defending champions have missed the cut, and none of those seven finished better than Scheffler’s 10th last year. That means I won’t be betting Jon Rahm, last year’s winner , to repeat.

He didn’t win the week before: The last player to win the tournament immediately preceding the Masters and then win the green jacket was Phil Mickelson in 2006. Since then, only two golfers (Anthony Kim in 2010 and Spieth in 2021) have won the week before and then finished in the top 10 at Augusta. Akshay Bhatia, who just won the Texas Open , will not be on my card.

Now that we’ve eliminated 49 golfers from the field of 89, let’s take a look at a few who can actually win. Odds are as of Tuesday morning at DraftKings Sportsbook :

Scottie Scheffler (+450)

Betting Scheffler at any tournament these days means accepting preposterously low odds, and the Masters is no different. The champion from two years ago and the OWGR No. 1 is again the favorite, for ample reasons. Scheffler has won two of his past three tournaments and was a missed six-footer away from forcing a playoff at the Houston Open two weekends ago. His worst finish this calendar year was a tie for 17th at the American Express; he has been in the top 10 in his seven other tournaments. The knock on Scheffler has always been his putting, but he has gained strokes on the greens in five of his past six tournaments after an equipment change. He’s first on the PGA Tour in par-4 scoring and par-4 birdie-or-better. What’s not to like here, other than the low odds?

Xander Schauffele (+1400)

Schauffele is probably the best player without a major championship (though he does have an Olympic gold medal ), and you have to think he’s about due: The world’s fifth-ranked player has far more top-10s (11) than missed cuts (three) in his 26 major appearances. Three of those top-10s came at Augusta National. Schauffele, who has finished T-5 or better in three of his past four tournaments, trails only Scheffler in par-4 scoring this season and is tied for 17th in par-4 birdie-or-better. And how about this from Kyle Porter of CBS Sports ? Nine of the past 11 Masters winners had gained at least 1.7 strokes tee to green per round in the three months leading into the tournament. Only two PGA Tour golfers fit that bill this year: Scheffler and Schauffele.

Hideki Matsuyama (+2000)

Matsuyama already has a green jacket as the 2021 champion. He also has some blinding form, with a win in February at Riviera (a good course comparison to Augusta National), followed by a tie for 12th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational and a tie for sixth at the Players Championship (two tournaments with elite fields), plus a tie for seventh last weekend in Texas. Matsuyama is one of three golfers in the field to finish at least in the top 25 in each of the past four Masters — Scheffler and Shane Lowry are the others — and he can’t be overlooked.

Joaquín Niemann (+2800)

I think Niemann has one of the better shots out of all the LIV golfers because he comes in with white-hot form: three wins and four top-fives since November, with one of those victories in a full-field DP World Tour event. (LIV golfers can play on the European tour.) He’s also one of only two LIV golfers to average at least two strokes gained per round this season. (Rahm is the other; Dustin Johnson — No. 3 on that list — is well behind both at 1.54 strokes gained per round.) Niemann’s best finish at Augusta National is a tie for 16th last year, but he has made the cut each of the past three years.

Tony Finau (+4000)

Every year, it seems, golf fans get talked into considering Finau at the Masters, and every year he seems to do just okay: He has never missed the cut in six Augusta National appearances, with three top-10s. This year, the world’s 26th-ranked player has missed just one cut in PGA Tour play and tied for second at the Houston Open, his most recent event. Finau can be a little wild off the tee, but that shortcoming is negated a bit at Augusta National because the rough isn’t very penal, and Finau shines at courses with short rough .

Shane Lowry (+6000)

The 2019 British Open champion has been picking up steam as the season has worn on, with a tie for fourth at the Cognizant and a solo third the next week at the Arnold Palmer. Lowry has finished no worse than a tie for 25th in his past four Augusta National appearances and tied for third two years ago. He’s top-20 in par-4 scoring and par-4 birdie-or-better this season.

Sahith Theegala (+5000)

The 26-year-old has played in only one Masters, but it was a ninth-place finish at last year’s tournament. This year, the world No. 15 has four top-10 finishes, with three of them coming over his past five events. Theegala is a respectable 24th in par-4 scoring and 31st in par-4 birdie-or-better.

Cameron Young (+5000)

Young is coming off a tie for seventh at last year’s Masters, has four top-10s this year and is respectable enough on par-4s (12th in par-4 birdie or better, 31st in par-4 scoring). And while Young has yet to win on the PGA Tour, he has four top-10s in major tournaments, including a tie for eighth at last year’s British Open. A win is coming, and it could be at Augusta National.

Jason Day (+6500)

The Aussie, ranked 21st, has the 2015 PGA Championship title on his résumé, and he has finished in second place in each of the other three majors, most recently at last year’s British Open. Day’s recent Masters form has been spotty (two missed cuts and a tie for 39th in his past three visits), but he has four Augusta National top-10s in his career. This season, Day has posted three top-10s and ranks in the top 10 in par-4 scoring and par-4 birdie-or-better.
