Thanks to a major refurbishment in 2019 (the ship originally launched in 1999), the ship features updated staterooms and refreshed public spaces and restaurants. Passengers can choose from six dining venues, including a specialty steakhouse and the causal Pool Grill.

This Ultra-Luxury Cruise Whisks Travelers to 40 Countries in 5 Months

Imagine spending nearly five months exploring the most fascinating destinations in the world while living in a lavish suite on a luxury cruise ship . From your suite’s private balcony, you can watch the ship pull into secluded islands and alluring ports in Asia, Europe, and Australia. All the while, you have unlimited access to gourmet dining—lobster, filet mignon, Champagne—with every need seen to by a solicitous crew.

It might sound like a travel fantasy, but this is the reality on board Regent Seven Seas’ new once-in-a-lifetime cruise voyage. The line’s just-announced 2027 world cruise will whisk travelers to 40 countries across six continents for an unforgettable adventure over the course of 140 nights.

The voyage is set to depart Miami, Florida , on January 11, 2027, and ends 20 weeks later in New York. Along the way, passengers will travel 35,668 nautical miles, cross 3 oceans, and visit 71 ports throughout the Caribbean, Australia , New Zealand, Pacific Islands, Asia, Africa, and Europe.

The destinations will offer travelers the chance to cross off their bucket lists a whopping 73 UNESCO World Heritage Sites , including natural and cultural wonders such as Australia’s Kakadu National Park, the Singapore Botanic Gardens, and the temples of Mumbai’s Elephanta Caves.

The itinerary offers 14 overnight port stays , so travelers can truly immerse themselves in destinations like Sydney, Australia; Bali, Indonesia; and Aqaba, Jordan. Plus, passengers can choose from more than 480 shore excursions that are included in the cruise fare. There will also be unique shoreside events for all guests in three ports, including a Carnival celebration in Panama City, Panama ; a street festival event in Colombo, Sri Lanka; and a Roaring Twenties-themed night in Málaga, Spain .

Regent is offering the new itinerary as a growing number of travelers are becoming interested in lengthier cruise voyages . “We have seen continued interest and demand to venture further afield and for longer durations and so we are thrilled to announce that our 2027 World Cruise will take place on board Seven Seas Splendor , offering more luxury travelers the opportunity to enjoy this once-in-a-lifetime experience” Andrea DeMarco, President of Regent Seven Seas Cruises, said in a statement.

During their twenty weeks at sea, passengers should be quite comfortable on board the Seven Seas Splendor . The ship holds just 746 guests and offers all-suite accommodations, each with an outdoor balcony. Splendor was launched in 2020, and it offers travelers an atmosphere of fresh luxury. Throughout the public spaces, you’ll find more than 500 crystal chandeliers, two pools, and even a $5 million art collection featuring Picassos and Mirós throughout the ship.

What’s more: Nearly everything on the ship is included in the cruise fare , including the nine restaurants. Among the dining options are specialty restaurants such as Pacific Rim, an Asian fusion concept, Chartreuse, upscale French dining, and Prime 7, a sophisticated steakhouse. Also included? Alcohol and premium beverages like fine wines and spirits.

Nearly everything on the ship is included in the cruise fare, including dining at nine onboard restaurants.

Also a part of the all-inclusive pricing is first-class airfare, unlimited valet laundry—including dry cleaning and pressing—and unlimited Wi-Fi.

Prices for the super-voyage, called “ The World of Splendor, ” start at $91,499 per guest for a 307-square-foot Veranda Suite and range all the way up to $839,999 per guest for the massive Regent Suite—a 4,443-square-foot space on the ship’s fourteenth deck with luxurious amenities like an in-suite spa, a personal sauna, a Steinway grand piano, 270-degree ocean views, large wrap-around veranda, and an in-suite Picasso on the wall. Regent says the rate for the Regent Suite is a record-breaking price for the industry.

If 140 nights at sea seems a bit too long, there’s also an option to participate in a shorter leg of the round-the-world adventure, which departs Miami but lasts 126 nights and ends in Rome.

Extreme pricing for top cruise suites just hit a new level: $1.7 million

Remember that super pricey luxury cruise we told you about last week — the one that cost up to $550,000 per cabin ? It's a downright bargain compared to another wildly high-priced sailing announced this week.

Luxury line Regent Seven Seas Cruises on Wednesday revealed plans for an epic 140-night world cruise out of Miami that would start at an unprecedented $182,998 for the smallest available rooms.

Kicking off Jan. 11, 2027, aboard Regent's 746-passenger Seven Seas Splendor , the sailing will cost as much as $1.7 million for those booking the ship's top suite, according to the line.

That's a top fare level several times higher than any cruise line has ever charged for a single voyage.

The $1.7 million fare — $1,679,998, to be exact — will be for the famously over-the-top Regent Suite on Seven Seas Splendor.

Bigger than the average American house at 4,443 square feet, the Regent Suite on Seven Seas Splendor is known for its industry-leading opulence, which includes such luxury touches as a bed with a handmade mattress that cost $200,000 and a private spa area with unlimited treatments.

No other cruise ship suite comes close to the Regent Suite on Seven Seas Splendor in size, luxury or amenities other than two almost identical suites on sister ships Seven Seas Grandeur and Seven Seas Explorer.

Each of the three Regent Suites regularly sells out at more than $10,000 per night.

The world cruise that Regent announced Wednesday will mark the first time that the Regent Suite — the most expensive suite in cruising — has been available to book for such a lengthy cruise. Seven Seas Splendor has never operated a world cruise before.

Regent typically offers one such monthslong world voyage each year. But until now, it offered the voyages on older, less opulent vessels with smaller and less pricey suites.

Regent's one world cruise for 2026, for instance, will take place on the 23-year-old Seven Seas Mariner, where the top suites measure 2,000 square feet — less than half the size of the Regent Suites. Fares for that voyage top out at $532,998 for the biggest suite.

While still sky-high, that top fare for the 2026 sailing is less than a third of the cost of the Regent Suite on the 2027 world cruise.

Around the world in luxury

Starting in Miami and ending nearly five months later in New York City, Regent's newly announced world cruise will include a full circling of the globe with stops at 71 different destinations in 40 countries.

Heading westward after leaving Miami, Seven Seas Splendor will travel across the Caribbean, through the Panama Canal and across the Pacific before a series of calls in New Zealand and Australia.

From there, the ship will travel across wide swaths of Asia, the Middle East and Europe before returning to North America.

Regent said Wednesday that the vessel would travel 35,668 nautical miles during the voyage, which will include stops at every continent except Antarctica.

"We have seen continued interest and demand to venture farther afield and for longer durations," Andrea DeMarco, Regent's president, said in a statement accompanying the announcement.

As is typical for Regent, the fares for the voyage are highly all-inclusive. Those who book the trip can pick from 486 included shore excursions and will get unlimited valet laundry, including dry cleaning, while on board. First-class flights to and from the ship, door-to-door luggage service and onboard medical consultations are also included.

A one-night pre-cruise stay at a luxury hotel in Miami , a pre-cruise gala and special shoreside events in Panama City, Panama; Colombo, Sri Lanka; and Malaga, Spain, also come with the fare.

Additionally, fares include dining at specialty restaurants, premium beverages like fine wines and spirits, and unlimited Wi-Fi.

In its announcement, Regent said Seven Seas Splendor would sail on the voyage with 13,000 pounds of lobster, 14,000 pounds of filet mignon, 3,600 pounds of smoked salmon and 150 pounds of caviar.

The ship will also carry 58,000 bottles of wine and 14,000 bottles of Champagne.

I checked the ports section to see if there was any information in reference to going from St. Petersburg to Moscow, but there was nothing there. We are on the August 24 N. Europe sailing on Voyager and have booked the train trip to Moscow. Have any of you taken this trip and was it totally exhausting?

I did research on the train and noticed there are various categories of seats, similar to an airline with first class/ business class, etc. Was wondering what level Regent book's their customers in.

Another question, this is our first cruise on Regent and was wondering about the air. We booked a PH so business air is included, but I noticed quite a bit of posting about deviation. How do you know what you have been scheduled for by Regent or do you just check airlines and then notify Regent what you would like and they charge the extra fees?

thank you for any assistance you provide. I am so happy for CC and being able to get all the great info I do here. I don't post much but I sure do read a lot.:)

Just read a wonderful review on the Crystal board (with pictures) that will definitely inspire you to do the Moscow trip. I'm so sorry that we didn't do it!

In regards to your flights, you will get them approx. 75 days prior to your departure which is much too late to usually be able to do anything about changing them to better flights. Many people choose to arrive several days early and depart for home several days after their cruise and to do this you must deviate. You are taking your chances on your routing by waiting for the Regent Flights.

Regent starts taking deviations 270 days prior to your departure and knowledgeable people immediately at that time make their deviation to get their preferred flights at the lowest, if charged additional add on. You have absolutely nothing at risk if you ask for your deviation as the $175 is not charged until you agree on the flights and any possible upcharges. You can go back and forth with offers and responses until you get the flights you like or simply stop the process at any time at no cost to you and wait for the included air. Traveling overseas increases the risk of delays in flights plus it is overnight to Europe so jet lag can be an issue as well as arrival on the morning or afternoon of embarkation runs the risk of "missing the boat".

Highly recommend asking about deviations and see what you get and how much you might have to pay, if anything and then make up your mind. The included flights without deviation may not be the most direct and can involve long connection times. Only you can decide the best approach for you.

We have been assigned some great flights 75 days prior to our cruise date. We also deviate if there is a certain flight with a certain airline that we want. Actually, there is a bit of a risk if you pay the $175/person and deviate. We have had flight changes that do not work for us and Regent could impose an additional fee. Also, there is an up-charge for certain flights.

In terms of St. Petersburg to Moscow, while we have not done that excursion we have been to St. Petersburg twice with Regent and the days are exhausting without going to Moscow. This is a wonderful but very port intensive itinerary. Also, St. Petersburg has so many incredible things to see that you may want to do excursions there. However, if you are full of energy and really want to visit Moscow, I'd say go for it:)

thank you so much for your response, we'll go ahead and do the deviation as we really prefer non stop to London and know we will have to do a connection from Stockholm. We will be in London before the cruise and have extended our return trip home from Stockholm to wander about there as well.

great information off your link about deviation......will check around and if something is too good to pass up then will try for the deviation. We have been to Europe multiple times and normally had direct flights, but one never knows.

We are fortunate that we often drive to one of the gateway airports since we have friends all over the east coast. Often drive to Miami, Atlanta, for this trip we are leaving from Orlando, staying with friends before the flight.

I know my wife and I passed on the Moscow by air excursion a few years ago and we're still kind of torn about it. On the one hand, I really wanted to see Moscow (still do) but on the other hand, it was a brutal schedule. There was so much to see and do in St Petersburg though, so it wasn't critical to see Moscow on that trip...but next time we're there, I'm definitely going to check it out.

Not sure how long the train ride is down there, nor how the Russian trains are but if they're anything like the trains I've taken in Europe, there's not a huge difference in the classes of service. Usually the same amount of space, just nicer amenities in First Class. And probably fewer 'interesting' people, I'd imagine.

I know the trip is 4 hours each way. I reviewed the post on Crystal and now feel so much better about booking it. It will be a quite long day, possibly around 18 hours, but memories are made from these type of trips. We were so excited to see the optional trip to Moscow and decided we can sleep on the way there and on the way back to the ship, but to be this close we just knew we wanted to do it. We were interested in the air tour, but it was not available for our cruise, so the train it shall be.

The train appears to be similar to the bullet train in Japan. I found it so unusual that I was unable to find any posts about this tour..... and then Memlin posted about the tour a cruiser posted on the Crystal section and it was fabulous.

I believe that the more upgraded cars of the train have the larger more comfortable seats. After all, just as an airplane takes all its passengers to the same location so will this train. Just was hoping to not be squeezed in one of those little middle seats for our tour.

Many, many, oh so many years ago on one of our first trips to Europe, we were in the middle of the middle of the economy seats to Holland. Oh, my goodness, I had to use the restroom during the flight.......Yes, I know you are all smiling or laughing, but really, it can become a pressing problem! and you have to excuse yourself to 2 other persons regardless of which way you choose to leave this section.

As one gets older, comfort becomes so much more important, doesn't it? When we first were able to move to business class, I thought we moved to heaven! When we were able to always book at least a suite on a cruise ship I thought we are the most blessed persons in the world.

My goodness, how did I ever get on this soapbox.

My husband and I did the Moscow excursion and we are soooo glad we did. We did it last year in August and it is wonderful. Do not miss this. Well worth the money. It was a long day but well worth it. The seats on the train are okay.

Well, I know it's a year-old post but I came across it while searching for 'Moscow' in the forum...we're back in St. Petersburg this August and have decided to do the Moscow trip - sounds like it's going to be well worth the time and expense - if anyone else has any updated info on this excursion, I'd sure love to hear about it!

I did the train to Moscow on the last voyage of the season on the Voyager Sept 25, 2016. Your questions. We left the ship at 4:30 am. Bus to the St Pete train station and left about 7:00am. While the train does have 3 classes, all of the tour was in the economy class. Seats are comparable to airplane economy plus seats. That is to say not that great. You can not upgrade. Our group of 45 were all in one car. The ride is 4 hours each way, with 2 stops along the way. Not much to see along the way, a few small farms and rivers. Left Moscow about 7:30 pm and back to the ship just before midnight. Yes it is a long day and the train ride is not that comfortable. As to why Regent didn't use a better class in the train, I was told that it was the vendor decision. This train is not the same as quality as the "Bullet" or TGV trains in western Europe.

Cost was about $1,300 pp. I was discounted 25 % becasue of my Titanium status.

They take you to the highlights, the Kremlin and its museums, ride on the Moscow subway and Red Square. I am glad I did the trip, but I would not do it again. But I knew that this was going to be a "one and done" trip for me.

We have been to both St. Petersburg (Regent and Viking) and Moscow (Viking). We loved them both. Our 3 days in Moscow were terrific but not long enough; I can't imagine "seeing" this fascinating city in one day. St. Petersburg is even better than Moscow! We have spent about 10, days there - just about enough. Unless this is absolutely the only way(time) that you will see Moscow, spent your few days in marvelous St. P.

I don't know if this is a 'one-and-done' for us, but if it is, I'd like to at least see Moscow. We've spent 3 days in St P before with two more coming up on this trip. We passed on this trip last time we were in St P so we could spend more time there but we've always somewhat regretted skipping Moscow. I know it's going to be like trying to experience NYC or D.C. In one day - not possible but still cool for the highlights.

I did the train version of the trip on Seabourn. It was very exhausting. First I'd done Catherines palace the night before and due to an accident along the way didn't return until ~0100. The tour left at 0400 that morning and we didn't return until around midnight (then there was the third day of tours...). Seabourn sadly didn't book us into anything special so several hours of no recline seats, no a/c. That train ride was probably the worst part of the trip.

6. We chose what we wanted to visit and for how long.

7. We were escorted to our seats on the train on the return.

8. The only negative was the fact that the food (supplied free in business class) was pretty close to inedible.

9. When we got back to St Pete we asked for a night tour as we had all slept on the train.

The best part? I recall it was around $500 pp.

IMO, everything in Russia is better seen on private excursions. Your experience sounds so much better than what others have posted. We have been to St. Petersburg twice - there was so much to see that we have yet to see Moscow (given the time it takes to get there and back, it is unlikely that we will ever see it).

Last time I checked the Russian visas cost was $225.00 and you need to send in your passport. Also the ship is in port for 3days/2 night so you can only do the trip on the 2nd full day. The train schedules are not consistent and what works one day may not the next. I looked into doing this on my own before I went last fall and decided that is was not worth saving (for me) $200 per person.

If you are with a licensed guide you do not need a visa. The guide has to be with you the entire time, including on the train and must be sanctioned by the authorities. Doesn't matter if you are going around locally or around Moscow. It might matter if you intended to stay the night but the references here have been to same day tours.

Yes you can fly, but the train is much faster overall time wise when you add in transfer time, security, pre-boarding, flight, deplaning, transfer to Moscow, you need to figure about 6 hours each way.

J, not sure about that - every thing I've seen so far says as long as you're with a licensed tour company you don't need a visa. Doesn't specify only ships tours, but the 72-hour visa exemption is only for cruise passengers. Visas are only required if you want to go out on your own.

At least that was my understanding.

A lot of what everyone is saying is true but, there are some missing nuances. Yes, everyone going ashore in Russia needs a visa. The ship get a blanket visa covering everyone going on ships tours and everyone has to remain with the tour. For those taking independent tours, the major tour companies are able to get you a Visa that again allows you on tours where again you have to stay with the tour. Therefore, if you want to do an indepent tour to Moscow you have to go with a tour company that will get your the required visa.as long as the tour company gets it for you. Now the tricky part. From reading it appears that some tour companies don't have the guide accompanying you on the train or plane and for that you would need a visa you get yourself. So, appears if you want to do an independent tour to Moscow, you have to use a tour company that will get you the required visa and have guides that are with your the entire day. Cannot drop you at the train station and then get another guide upon arrival in Moscow. Of course that is an assumption and perhaps the tour company is allowed to put you on the train or plane and then pick you up upon arrival. Best to ask the requirements from the tour companies organizing the one day tours to Moscow.

There are easy tours to Moscow - less $$$ than with Regent. Viator is a personal favorite of ours. You fly one way and take a train back.

Alternatively, you can get your own visa and do it on your own. IMO, using a tour company is the easiest way to go:)

After reading your post, I had to find out why. Turns out that the Princess web site hasn't been updated. :( The Intro to Moscow excursion lists available dates of Jan 01, 2004 - Sep 30 , 2004 ! :eek: Like you, we were planning on this one and are very disappointed. Maybe, and it's probably a BIG maybe, Princess will bring it back. I won't hold my breath though, as this would have to be arranged far in advance for a group outing.

• Regent Seven Seas Cruises Reveals 2027 World Cruise To Be Hosted On Board Seven Seas Splendor For The First Time

MIAMI : Beckoning to curious travelers and discerning adventurers, Regent Seven Seas Cruises , the world's leading luxury ocean cruise line, has unveiled its 2027 World Cruise - World of Splendor. The voyage sailing from January 11, 2027 , will be on board one of Regent's newest ships Seven Seas Splendor, one of its three Explorer-Class series of vessels.

Sailing from Miami, Florida to New York , for a total of 140 nights, the all-inclusive 2027 World Cruise travels to 71 ports of call in the Caribbean , the Pacific Islands, Australia and New Zealand , Asia , Africa and Europe . Guests will travel 35,668 nautical miles across three oceans, exploring 40 countries on six continents. With over 480 included shore excursions and 14 overnight stays, luxury travelers will have the opportunity for total destination immersion and even visit 73 UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

The 2027 World Cruise goes on sale on April 10, 2024 , and those wishing to pre-register their interest can do so now at RSSC.com/2027-World-Cruise.

Seven Seas Splendor will for the first-time host Regent's World Cruise, increasing the number of suites available for sale in comparison to Regent's 2026 World Cruise, demonstrating the growing popularity of longer sailings to exotic destinations.

In addition, for the first time ever, guests can sail a World Cruise in the most exclusive address residence at sea - the Regent Suite . The epitome of luxury on the high seas, the Regent Suite experience on board the 2027 World Cruise is priced at $1.7 million dollars for two guests.

Fares for the 140-night voyage start from $91,499 per guest for a luxurious Veranda Suite up to $839,999 per guest for the opulent Regent Suite . Travelers who prefer a slightly shorter journey can sail a 126-night Miami, Florida to Rome (Civitavecchia), Italy , voyage with fares ranging from $84,999 per guest up to $755,999 per guest.

The World of Splendor

Regent's 2027 World Cruise - The World of Splendor - will be a truly unforgettable, around-the-world voyage. Before boarding Seven Seas Splendor, guests will begin their worldly adventures with a one-night pre-cruise stay in a luxury hotel in vibrant Miami, Florida , and an exclusive pre-cruise gala. In addition to the 486 free shore excursions, a further three exclusive and unique shore-side events will dazzle guests in Panama City, Panama ; Colombo, Sri Lanka ; and Malaga, Spain .

Regent's exclusive World Cruises are complete with a range of bespoke amenities including first-class airfare, and unlimited valet laundry - including dry cleaning and pressing. Allowing guests to travel with complete peace of mind to focus on the journey, additional amenities include door-to-door luggage service, phone time per suite, onboard medical consultations, and a commemorative gift.

The 2027 World Cruise will be the first of these incredible journeys to sail on one of Regent's Explorer-Class ships. Seven Seas Splendor, sister ship to Seven Seas Explorer and Seven Seas Grandeur, holds no more than 746 guests - meaning that more luxury travelers will have the chance to experience a Regent World Cruise without sacrificing unrivaled space at sea. With one of the highest space-to-guest ratios in the industry, discerning adventurers are promised an intimate exploration of the globe while enjoying the most luxurious on-board amenities and experiences found in the cruise industry.

On board, the 55,498 gross tons and 735 feet in length Seven Seas Splendor, the highest benchmarks of personalized service will be delivered by 548 professional crew members, caring for guests in beautiful all-suite, all-balcony accommodation.

While exploring the far reaches of the world, as part of the all-inclusive, unrivaled Regent experience, guests will enjoy exquisite specialty dining, premium beverages including fine wines and spirits, unlimited WiFi, and more.

The ship features unparalleled comfort across 15 sumptuous suite categories, and her 373 suites include nearly 52,000 square-feet of balcony space - among the largest balconies at sea. The beautifully appointed suites range from the 307 square-foot Veranda Suite to the lavish 4,443 square-foot Regent Suite .

Acqua di Parma , and L'Occitane jasmine & bergamot soaps, shampoos and lotions, and will rest their head each night on the comfort of a hand-crafted Hastens Vividus mattress and bed set-up, worth over $200,000 , plus a choice of the finest bed linens and pillow styles.

Sette Mari at La Veranda, serving guests authentic Italian specialties and featuring stunning, over-water alcove seating that juts out over the ocean for an even closer connection to the sea, surrounded on three sides by inspiring, magnificent views.

Seven Seas Splendor features the Culinary Arts Kitchen with 18 stations for hands-on gourmet cooking classes presented by master chef instructors, and Serene Spa & WellnessTM , a globally inspired spa brand created for Seven Seas Splendor offering exclusive treatments that integrate techniques and ingredients from destinations around the world to soothe both the body and mind.

Seven Seas Splendor will carry 13,000lb of lobster, 14,000lb of filet mignon, 3,600lb of smoked salmon, and 150lb pounds of caviar.
