15 Other Ways to Say “Come Visit Us”

Do you want to spend time with a crush or with your friends and you don’t know how to tell them?

Do you want to bring your family together and you don’t know how to present it to them? It might just be easy to say “come visit us,” but you don’t want to be direct with them.

Worry no more, for you’re in the right place. In this article, I’ll be discussing 15 other ways to say “come visit us.”

So, if you need to spend time with your loved ones and you’re looking for a subtle way to tell them, you’ve got all the help you need here. Stay with me.

There are a lot of ways you can say “come visit us.” Depending on the type of relationship you share with the person, you can be casual or formal with them.

Some of the expressions you can use in place of “come visit us” include: “come over,” “stop by later,” “check us at our new place, you’d love it,” “you can crash at our place tonight” and many other phrases.

That being said, here are 15 alternative ways to say “come visit us.”

  • Contact us at the…
  • We are happy to host you at our…
  • Won’t you come and know…?
  • Can we talk later at the…?
  • We’ll be delighted to have you during Thanksgiving
  • Check us at…
  • Crash at our…
  • My place is also your place, you can come whenever you like

“Come over” is one of the common phrases people use when they want someone to come to their place.

It’s an informal expression and very common among friends when they want each other over at their place. However, you can use this expression politely in a formal environment.

When you ask someone to come over, you’re inviting them to a place; it could be your office or your house, or any location you want them.

So, it’s a cool way to ask someone to pay you or your family a visit if you don’t want to use the expression “visit us.”

Below are ways you can use the expression:

  • I want you to come over to my office later so we can talk better
  • You can always come over to my place when you like
  • Come over during the weekend, please

visit us tomorrow

Contact Us at the…

If you don’t want to say “come visit us” to an acquaintance or a colleague, you can always ask them to contact you wherever you wish.

Asking someone to contact you at your office or home is a good way to ask them to visit you without saying it.

For instance, if you met with a potential client and you want them to visit, you can tell them to contact you at your office or home to discuss further.

In this way, you’ve asked them to visit you without saying it directly. Additionally, it’s a formal expression you use with an acquaintance or within a formal environment.

Below are the ways to use the expression:

  • You can contact us at the office if you want to find out more
  • Tell them to contact us at home. It’ll be more convenient there

Another expression you can use if you don’t want to say “come visit us” is “drop by.” This is a cool way to invite someone to a place of your choice.

It’s another common informal expression that friends or anyone can use to ask someone to visit them somewhere.

However, you can also use this expression in a formal setting if you’re polite. So, if you don’t want to use the word “visit us,” you can tell anyone to drop by later at your place.

Below is a way you can use this expression to invite someone over to a place:

  • Can you drop by the house later? We’ve some unfinished business
  • You can drop by later and say “hi”

We Are Happy to Host You at Our…

You can always ask someone over to your place without making it obvious that you want them to visit.

If it’s the case that you want a friend or colleague to meet with your family, you can use dinner or lunch to bring them to your place.

One good way to achieve that is by telling them you’re happy to host them at your desired location.

It could be your workplace or your house; if you want someone to visit you, use a dinner or lunch to lure them where you want.

In addition, it’s a polite request that will be difficult to turn down. Also, this statement can both work in a formal and informal setting.

Below is how you can use this statement:

  • We are happy to host you at our house on Sunday
  • We are happy to host you at the office anytime

Won’t You Come and Know…?

Here, you’re tactical by appealing to their emotions. If it’s the case that you built a new home or office and you want friends to visit you, you can blackmail them into doing that.

Or if you’ve got a friend who has never visited you, good blackmail can work too.

A good example is by asking if they won’t come and know your house or office or club or whatever place it is.

A good friend or colleague should be moved and give in. Of course, they wouldn’t want to seem like a bad friend. So, this is a perfect way of asking someone to visit you without actually saying it.

Here’s how to use this expression:

  • Won’t you come and know our new office? You’ve never been there
  • Won’t you come and know where we live?

Another good expression that can work to invite someone over to a place is to ask them to come by.

This is another informal expression that you can politely use in a formal setting.

When you ask someone to come by your place, you’re letting them know that you want them at your place in clear terms.

So, this is the perfect way to ask someone to your place without using the words “come visit us.”

Below is a way you can use this phrase:

  • We’ll be delighted if you come by the office to check it out
  • I’d love you to come by later, there’s a lot to discuss

Can We Talk Later at the…?

Here’s another tactical approach to inviting someone to your place without making it obvious. When you want someone over to your place, ask them politely if you can talk there.

This approach doesn’t give them plenty of options, especially if they’re your friends, or if it’s your workplace you want them to visit.

For instance, someone who isn’t comfortable with you might turn you down if you ask them to talk at your house. However, if you ask to talk with them in your office, they can hardly say no.

So, if you want someone to visit where you work or live, you can lure them with plans to talk.

Below is a good way to go about it:

  • Can we talk later at the house? This place is noisy
  • Can we talk later at the office? It’ll be a great place to relax and catch on

We’ll Be Delighted to Have You During Thanksgiving

Another tactical approach to asking someone to your place is to lure them during “Thanksgiving.”

“Thanksgiving” is a national holiday in some countries and states. So, it’s a good time to ask for a visit. A good way to go about that is to let them know you’ll be delighted to have them during Thanksgiving.

It could be friends, neighbors, colleagues, acquaintances, or even strangers; when you want someone to pay you a visit at your house, ask them for a “Thanksgiving” lunch.

Due to the nature of the holiday; a time of sharing and giving, people will hardly turn down this visit. So, try this approach when you want someone to visit you but you don’t want to spell it out.

Check Us at…

Another wonderful way you can ask someone for a visit subtly is by using this statement.

When you ask someone to check you out at a particular place, it tells them you want them there. It’s a good approach to use when discussing business with someone or talking casually to a friend or colleague.

For instance, if you want a client to visit your business area, this statement is a good way to make your request known.

Here’s how you can use this statement:

  • Check us at our new place, you’d love it
  • Can you check us at the house? We won’t be at the office today

“Stop by” is another phrase you can use when you want someone to pay you a visit at your place.

This is another informal expression that you can use to make your request. Also, you can use it in a business environment or your workplace.

For instance, if you’re longing to see someone or have someone over at your place, ask them to stop by. This expression sounds like a simple thing to do.

It’s a good approach to use when you know they’ll pass by your place anytime.

Here’s a good way to use this phrase:

  • You can stop by before going to the market
  • Why not stop by on your way back from church so we discuss this better

Crash at Our…

Another way you can ask someone to visit is by asking them to crash at your place.

This is a good approach to use when you know the person doesn’t have plenty of options.

For instance, if you’re both returning from a party and you know your house is closer, you can suggest they crash at your place.

In this way, you’ve got what you want without saying “come visit us.”

  • Why not crash at our place for the weekend? It’ll be easier to get the bus from here
  • You can crash at our place tonight, you can’t drive in this state

My Place is also Your Place, You Can Come Whenever You Like

This is another tactical way to get someone to visit you without saying it out loud.

Also, this is another emotional statement you can use to get someone reluctant to come to visit you. In addition, it’s suitable to use with friends or someone you share a solid relationship with.

When you tell them your place is also theirs and they can come whenever they like, they should get it that you want them to visit.

Call on Us at…

“Call on us” is another wonderful phrase you can use to ask someone to visit you.

When you ask someone to call you at the office for a discussion, they should come to your office for it. So, in this way, you’ve gotten them to visit if that was your intention.

So, this is a cool way to get someone to visit you if you don’t want to spell it out.

Below are ways to use this expression:

  • Call on us at the office, we can’t discuss this over the phone
  • Make sure to call on us at home, we’ve all you need there

You can also ask someone to drop in at your place if you want them to visit.

Using “drop in” is another good approach to get someone to come by your house or office without sounding obvious. Also, this is an informal expression that tells the person that they’re free to visit anytime.

When someone drops in on you, it means they visit you informally without arranging it.

Here’s how you can use this expression:

  • Why not drop in anytime you’re free
  • You can always drop in whenever you visit the town

other ways to say come visit us

“Pay a call” is another cool expression you can use to ask someone to visit you.

This is a great expression that you can use formally or informally. However, it’s more formal. So, if you want someone to visit you, you can ask them to pay a call at your place.

Here’s how you can use the expression:

  • Pay a call at my office in the evening, I have something for you
  • Kindly pay a call at my house later, we’ve some pending discussions

other ways to say come visit us

As you can see from this article, there are numerous ways you can ask someone to visit you without saying the word.

So, when next you want someone at your house or office or any location, try any of these examples to get you that visit.

They are tactical approaches that can hardly be turned down. Also, don’t forget to add yours.

Hi Hinthu,

Not necessarily! This is a question of style, rather than grammar. Some style guides recommend putting a comma after the day, but other style guides do not.

Winter storms to bring heavy snow and flash flooding to the Midwest and the Northeast

Two winter storms are expected, starting Friday into next week.

Two winter storms are expected to bring heavy snow, strong winds, severe thunderstorms and flash flooding to many parts of the northern United States starting Friday into next week.

Winter alerts are up for 32 million people Friday and Saturday, from the northern Rocky Mountains and the Upper Midwest through the central Great Lakes region and into New England.

The first storm will move quickly and bring snow to eastern Minnesota, Wisconsin and Michigan on Friday, and the interior Northeast and New England on Saturday. Light to moderate snow is expected in an area stretching from the Upper Midwest to the Great Lakes, where 2 to 7 inches of snow will fall overnight.

Snow amounts Saturday and into the night in northern New England will be as high as 12 to 18 inches.

The second storm will kick off Sunday and could bring higher accumulations of snow and stronger winds to the Upper Midwest than the first storm. Unlike the first storm, however, it will not bring accumulating snow to New England.

Sunday's snow and wind will impact North Dakota and South Dakota, Minnesota and northern Wisconsin. On Monday the storm will slow down and strengthen over the Upper Midwest, bringing continuous snow and strong wind gusts to the Dakotas and Minnesota. The snow will continue until at least midday Tuesday.

Snow accumulations during the storm could be as high as 12 to 18 inches in parts of Minnesota, including the Minneapolis metro area and Duluth.

The area spanning from the Dakotas into western Minnesota is known as "blizzard alley," and this region may live up to its name early next week. Winds are forecast to be as high as 35 to 40 mph, which could bring blizzard conditions, especially Monday and Tuesday.

In South Florida and southern New England, 53 million people are under flood watches. Cities in the risk zone include Miami, Washington, D.C., New York City and Boston.

On Friday, the flood risk is highest for South Florida, where 6 to 7 inches of rain could fall. Severe thunderstorms capable of high winds and isolated tornadoes will also be possible, especially for the Florida Keys.

The flood risk will shift to southern New England on Saturday, where a widespread 2 to 4 inches is expected, including for the Interstate 95 corridor. Isolated areas of more than 4 inches cannot be ruled out, especially for coastal areas.

FIFA to make major announcement on 16 June related to FIFA World Cup 2026™

Live broadcast from New York City

22 candidate host cities in contention to host matches

On Thursday, 16 June, FIFA will make a major and highly anticipated announcement related to the staging of the FIFA World Cup 2026™ across Canada, Mexico and the United States. Twenty-two candidate host cities are currently vying for the right to stage matches for the 48-team tournament hosted by three nations – both firsts for a FIFA World Cup. The current candidate host cities are: Atlanta, Boston, Cincinnati, Dallas, Denver, Edmonton, Guadalajara, Houston, Kansas City, Los Angeles, Mexico City, Miami, Monterrey, Nashville, New York/New Jersey, Orlando, Philadelphia, San Francisco, Seattle, Toronto, Vancouver and Washington DC/Baltimore. “In line with the previous stages of the FIFA World Cup 2026 selection process, any announcement will be made in the best interests of football, taking into consideration the needs of all stakeholders involved, as we aim to lay the foundations for the tournament to be delivered successfully across all three countries,” said FIFA Vice-President and Concacaf President Victor Montagliani. “We can only reiterate our appreciation to all the cities and the three member associations for their efforts and dedication to this process.” While stadiums represent an essential element of the selection process, FIFA is considering the overarching proposals presented by each candidate host city, which are broader in nature and also include ancillary events and venues, and key aspects such as sustainability, human rights, legacy, general infrastructure and financial impact. “During the past months we have had open exchanges with the candidate host cities on a number of different topics. We are very thankful and impressed by how dedicated and innovative they all are,” said FIFA’s Chief Tournaments & Events Officer, Colin Smith. “The host cities will be absolutely key to ensuring the successful delivery of the competition. We look forward to working with them to deliver what will undoubtably be the largest FIFA World Cup in history.” Additional details on the announcement on 16 June, including the live stream and media arrangements, will follow in due course.

TOMORROW X TOGETHER Announce 2024 U.S. Tour

K-pop boy band TOMORROW X TOGETHER announced the dates for their upcoming 2024 U.S. tour, which will hit eight cities across 11 shows. The outing is slated to kick off in Tacoma, WA at the Tacoma Dome on May 15, followed by gigs in Oakland, two nights at Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles and shows in Atlanta, two gigs at Madison Square Garden in New York and a double-down at Allstate Arena in Rosemont, IL before a final gig at Capitol One Arena in Washington, D.C. on June 8

The tour will be in support of the band's upcoming mini-album, minsode 3: TOMORROW , which is due out on April 1.

The band - Yeonjun, Beomgyu, Choi Soo-bin, Huening Kai and Taehyun - has been priming fans for their next era this week with a series of concept photos to tease the upcoming sixth mini album. The soft-lit series of "Light" photos feature each member in glowing orange light in a field of wheat, as well as a short video of Soo-bin sitting contemplatively in the field, lounging and staring longingly over a soothing bed of sound; the other members also get their own solo video teases featuring a series of random props. The photo carousel also features a fun behind-the-scenes clip in which the men pop up out of the wheat and wave to the camera.

Tickets for the tour will go on sale to the general public beginning Thursday (March 21) via Ticketmaster .

Check out the full list of dates on the tour poster below.

Tomorrows or Tomorrow’s? Here’s The Difference (Helpful Examples)

Knowing the difference between the plural and the possessive form of words is just something you need to pick up with practice. Today, we’re going to look at one such example of using the correct possessive form, and we’ll be checking out the word “tomorrow.”

Is It Tomorrows Or Tomorrow’s?

The correct spelling is “tomorrow’s” if you want to use the possessive form. “Tomorrows” is the plural form of the word and would be incorrect if you’re trying to use the possessive form. Basically, if the word “tomorrow” is in possession of an object in the sentence, you would write it in the possessive form to demonstrate this.

Is It Tomorrows Meeting Or Tomorrow’s Meeting?

That’s all well and good, but what does it actually mean when the word tomorrow is in possession of something else? Well, let’s look at the example of “tomorrow’s meeting.” In this case, we would need the possessive form with the apostrophe because “tomorrow” is possessing the “meeting.”

Sure, it’s not physically holding on to it because “tomorrow” isn’t a physical concept, but the “meeting” is happening tomorrow, which is exactly when the possessive form is required. “Tomorrows meeting” is grammatically incorrect and should be avoided.

How To Remember If The Correct Spelling Is Tomorrows Meeting Or Tomorrow’s Meeting

Okay, now that’s cleared, let’s talk you through the easiest way to remember the correct spelling. There’s only really one way to truly remember it, and that’s just to get it ingrained into your memory! You’ll never need to use the plural form of “tomorrow” as it’s a singular word referring to the day after today. However, you’ll always need to use the possessive form “tomorrow’s.”

Just remember that there should always be an apostrophe present when you’re adding an “s” to the end of tomorrow. Unless it’s a scarce circumstance (which we’ll cover in just a second), you’ll never need to use the plural form without the apostrophe.

5 Example Sentences Using “Tomorrows.”

It’s not impossible to see the plural form of “tomorrow” in a sentence, but it’s doubtful. In fact, you’ll probably never come across it being used in day-to-day life. However, there are still a few examples that we can give, and we’ll try to cover them here to give you an idea of when “tomorrows” might work in a sentence.

  • All my tomorrows have come at once.
  • There won’t be any more yesterdays, but there will be plenty more tomorrows.
  • We’ve got all our tomorrows to look forward to.
  • There will always be more tomorrows.
  • How many tomorrows must I wait for your heart?

As you can see, the sentences have this poetic theme about them, and that’s with intention. You’ll never come across the plural form of tomorrow unless in these circumstances. It’s just a poetic way to say that you’re looking forward to something in the future. Rather than saying “my future is here,” saying “all my tomorrows have come at once” is a more poetic way to say it.

5 Example Sentences Using “Tomorrow’s”

Now, let’s look at the more commonly used possessive form “tomorrow’s” in some examples. You’ll definitely come across these at various stages, so pay attention to them and see what we mean about “tomorrow” possessing a noun.

  • Tomorrow’s morning meeting will be held at 8.
  • Will you be present for tomorrow’s meeting?
  • I’m not going to be here for tomorrow’s class.
  • She hasn’t looked at tomorrow ’s schedule.
  • What are we doing for tomorrow’s event?

As you can see, each sentence has a noun that is modified by “tomorrow’s.” Without “tomorrow’s” included in the sentence, it can be difficult to determine when exactly the events or meetings might happen. With the inclusion of the possessive form “tomorrow’s,” we know to expect them tomorrow.

Quiz: Have You Mastered The Tomorrow’s Or Tomorrows Grammar?

Let’s finish up with a quick quiz to see what you’ve learned! You can compare your answers at the end to see whether you’ve understood the differences between the plural and possessive form.

  • I can’t attend (A. tomorrow’s / B. tomorrows) meeting.
  • I’m afraid she won’t be here for (A. tomorrow’s / B. tomorrows) class.
  • All my (A. tomorrow’s / B. tomorrows) have come at once.
  • We can’t keep chasing our (A. tomorrow’s / B. tomorrows).
  • What’s on (A. tomorrow’s / B. tomorrows) schedule?
