Fortnite Postcard Tour Trials quests: How to solve them

"In the city, there is a masked warrior made of lights," "These boats bring cargo," and more explained

Fortnite Postcard Tour Trials quests

The Fortnite Postcard Tour quests mark a departure from the usual assignments received in the battle royale, as instead of setting specific targets they instead provide cryptic clues for where you need to go. If you can't find these particular Fortnite quests in your game, it's because they only appear once you've completed the initial four sets of Trials quests, and as those are particularly time-consuming you may not have got through them all yet. Still, once you unlock them you may need help finding a masked warrior made of lights, boats that bring cargo, and more, so here's everything you need to know to complete the Postcard Tour in Fortnite.

Where to go for the Postcard Tour in Fortnite

Fortnite Postcard Tour

There are a total of five different locations you need to visit for the Fortnite Postcard Tour, which are marked on the map above as follows:

In the city, there is a masked warrior made of lights

These boats bring cargo, swim where the water heals, there's a tree where the three seasons collide, in the ice cave, look for the tower.

If you're looking for further details on how to decipher all of these clues, and what to do when you arrive at the locations, then there are individual breakdowns for each of them below.

Fortnite Postcard Tour

To kick things off, you need to visit the giant Shogun hologram found on a bridge to the east side of Mega City. To get up to the bridge, there's a zipline on either side of the river or you can leap off the nearby grind rail, then you need to emote inside the Shogun hologram by standing near the projection base.

Fortnite Postcard Tour

Heading to the large lake just south of Mega City, there's a large container ship marked on the map, which you can either swim out to or ride one of several ziplines to reach. Once on board, you need to emote on a barge by performing your best moves on deck.

Fortnite Postcard Tour

If you've previously visited the Fortnite Hot Springs then you should be familiar with this next location already, as you'll find water that heals at the spa in the middle of Steamy Springs. Once you arrive and swim in the water, you just need to emote at a Hot Spring to tick another quest off your list.

Fortnite Postcard Tour

For the next part you need to head towards the center of the island, as a little to the east of Anvil Square you'll find a tree incorporating a carving of the Herald. Emote near the Herald Tree, and you'll only have one more step to go.

Fortnite Postcard Tour

Finally, to the northwest of Brutal Bastion near Solitary Shrine you'll find Cold Cavern, an underground ice cave with – you guessed it – a clock tower inside. Emote near the Clock Tower and you'll have completed all five of the Fortnite Postcard Tour quests with cryptic clues – congratulations!

How to complete all Postcard Tour Trial Quests in Fortnite

Image of Abby Smith

If you haven't already started tackling the Trials and Syndicate Quests in Fortnite, now is the time! These quests can earn you some extra XP so you can progress more quickly through your Battle Pass, plus have a little extra fun while you play. The Trials quests, in particular, will send you on a little scavenger hunt around the Island with their Postcard Tour Trials; I really enjoyed it. If you aren't too sure how to unravel the riddles of these secret locations, keep reading for some extra guidance!

All Fortnite Postcard Tour Trials Locations

To begin the Postcard Tour Trials, you'll first need to make sure you've caught up on all your previous Trials quests. You can only complete these consecutively, meaning you won't be able to skip over any. The Postcard Trials consist of five different secret locations that you'll need to track down and emote at. However, they only give you some vague hints on where to find these locations, so here's a little help on where to go:

postcard tour quest

  • 1 . "In the city, there is a masked warrior made of lights..."
  • 2 . "These boats bring cargo..."
  • 3 . "Swim where the water heals..."
  • 4 . "There's a tree where the three seasons collide..."
  • 5 . "In the ice cave, look for the tower..."

"In the city, there is a masked warrior made of lights" Postcard Location in Fortnite

postcard tour quest

MEGA City is split apart by a river and connected by a long bridge. On the bridge, you'll find a hologram casting a red Oni warrior, thus fitting the riddle's description. You can use the ziplines to get up to the bridge from the ground floor or jump from the grind rails since they will keep you from getting fall damage. You can hit them with a Rick Roll emote, like I did, or switch it up and use another emote to complete the first part of this Trial.

"These boats bring cargo" Postcard Location in Fortnite

postcard tour quest

There are plenty of boats spread around the Island, which may make it seem more difficult to locate a specific one. However, to complete this Trial, you'll need to locate a boat specifically made for carrying cargo. There happens to be a cargo boat located just right off from the first location in MEGA City. Just head south toward the lake below the city, and you'll spot the boat with zip lines extending out from it toward the Southeast side.

"Swim where the water heals" Postcard Location in Fortnite

postcard tour quest

Luckily, there is only one location on the Island with healing water, which makes finding this location a bit easier than the rest. You'll just need to head to Steamy Springs and emote in one of the hot springs. This water stands out from the rest with its lighter, foggier color.

"There's a tree where the three seasons collide" Postcard Location in Fortnite

postcard tour quest

To find this riddle location, you'll need to head to the spot on the map where "three seasons collide." Each biome on the Island reflects a different season; you have fall, winter, summer, and spring. Not all four of them meet, but there is a spot where three of them do: just east of Anvil Square, and there you will find a very unique tree with a face carved into it. Emote at the bottom of the tree, and you will complete this Trial quest.

"In the ice cave, look for the tower" Postcard Location in Fortnite

postcard tour quest

This is perhaps the trickiest of the Postcard locations to find, not so much because of the riddle but due to the secluded spot in general. You can find the Ice Cave on the northern portion of the map, northwest of Brutal Bastion. However, pinging on the map may confuse you just a bit because you'll need to head underneath the snowy mountain to enter the cave. You can use the zip lines to get down there more quickly. Inside, you will spot the clock tower where you can emote and finish off your Postcard Tour.

Once you head to all the above locations and emote at each spot, you'll complete the Trials and earn some extra XP to boost your way through the Battle Pass. Keep up the good work!

Fortnite: How to Complete the Postcard Tour Trials Quests

The Fortnite Postcard Tour quest hints don't offer players too much guidance, so here's a guide on how to complete them all.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 is underway, and players can now work towards completing the Postcard Tour trials quests , which will reward players with XP and cosmetic items. This guide will walk Fortnite players through each stage of the Postcard Tour to reap the benefits.

RELATED: Fortnite Makes Controversial Changes To Late-Game Storm Circles

In the City, There is a Masked Warrior made of Lights...

To complete the first stage of the Postcard Tour questline, Fortnite players will need to find a masked warrior made of lights in a city. To complete this part, just head to Mega City in the lower half of the map and walk near the giant shogun hologram .

The next step will ask players to emote inside the shogun hologram, so do that to earn XP.

These Boats Bring Cargo...

The next stage will have a hint for players, reading, "these boats bring cargo...'

Players should head to the body of water south of Mega City to find a small boat with cargo. It's a landmark called Baywatcher Barge . Once players find it, the quest will be complete. Make sure to emote on the boat to earn even more XP towards unlocking new items on the Battle Pass .

Swim Where the Waters Heal...

Steamy Springs can be found west of Mega City, and once players bathe in one of its hot springs, they'll complete this part of the quest. Again, make sure to emote in the water before leaving to earn bonus XP.

There's a Tree Where the Three Seasons Collide

The next part of the Fortnite Postcard Tour will take players to the Herald Tree landmark just a little bit east outside Anvil Square. Again, emote at the tree for extra rewards .

In the Ice Cave, Look for the Tower

Northeast of Brutal Bastion, players can come across an ice cave (circled in red in the image above). Head inside the cave to find a clock tower. Once players approach the tower, the quest should be marked as complete. Perform one final emote to get a bunch of XP.

To wrap up the tour, players will also need to travel between Named Locations , which should be simple enough to complete.

Fortnite is available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

How to complete the Postcard Tour Trials quests in Fortnite

Image of Christian Harrison

Fortnite is constantly introducing new challenges to help you earn experience for the battle pass while also making sure you see all the sights. As part of this season’s Trial quests, you’ll be sent on a Postcard Tour across the island as you take in some of the hard work Epic’s developers put in. It doesn’t tell you exactly where to go, so there has been some confusion.

Fortunately, here’s all the information you need to know about how to complete the Postcard Tour in the Trials section quest of Fortnite .

Where to find the Postcard Tour Trials locations in Fortnite

postcard tour quest

There are a total of five different stages, as with the other Trials in Chapter Four, season two , which will provide you with 25,000 battle pass experience after completing each challenge. You’ll need to complete all of the Trials before the Postcard Tour to unlock this one, which includes Treasure Hunting, Process of Elimination, Trigger Happy, and Bucket List.

The different hints are numbered below, corresponding to the map above. To complete the Postcard Tour, you’ll need to visit the following locations:

In the city, there is a masked warrior made of lights

These boats bring cargo, swim where the water heals.

  • There’s a tree where the three seasons collide

In the ice cave, look for the tower

Below are each of the locations in more detail and you’ll need to go to them in order. If you’re fast, you should only have to play one or two matches to get all of these objectives.

postcard tour quest

This one requires you to fly to Mega City, where there are a variety of neon lights and projections. Emote at the base of the hologram of the samurai that is moving up and down, near the eastern side of the map. It’s a very large hologram, so it should be hard to miss as long as you’re keeping an eye out when you’re landing on the island.

postcard tour quest

This location isn’t far from Mega City at all and can be found in the middle of the lake that’s next to the port. Go to the boat mentioned in the description and emote on its deck, which will give you credit for completing the quest.

postcard tour quest

Anyone who has been keeping up with the weekly Syndicate quests will recognize this hint as pointing to the healing waters of Steamy Springs. You won’t need to emote at this location; just hop into one of the springs and you’ll complete this stage of the quest.

There’s a tree where the threat seasons collide

postcard tour quest

This is a reference to Fortnite Chapter Three, which saw The Herald being shown with her eyes on the island in seasons two, three, and four. There is currently a hardened tree in the shape of her iconic character that she seems to have escaped from where the three biomes connect in the exact middle of the map. Emote at the location to get credit.

postcard tour quest

There is an ice cave that can be found slightly to the west of the large fortification, and inside of it there is a large clock tower that seems out of place. Simply stand near or on top of it and emote to finish the last section of the quest. This will give you the last bit of battle pass experience.

How to Complete All Fortnite Postcard Tour Trials Quests

How to Complete All Fortnite Postcard Tour Trials Quests

Image of Cameron Waldrop

While the Trials questline has been rather straightforward this season, they are a little different this week. Instead of giving players a direct location to drop, they are instead given clues to figure out. These will take you all over the island to cool landmarks. Here is how to complete all the Postcard Tour Trial Quests in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2.

All Fortnite Postcard Tour Trials Locations

If you don’t have these anywhere on your quest list, it’s because you will need to have completed all previous Trials.

There are five of these Post Card Tour quests to get through, and they lead all over the map. These are as follows:

In the City, There Is a Masked Warrior Made of Lights

These boats bring cargo, swim where the water heals.

  • There’s a Tree Where the Three Seasons Collide

In the Ice Cave, Look for the Tower

Due to how spread out they are, you likely won’t get these in one game, but you should have them done in three.

Shogun Hologram

This refers to the giant Shogun hologram that can be found in Mega City. This is one is definitely the most dangerous Postcard Tour location considering the location. However, now many players will land right at this spot. Once you’ve arrived, you’ll need to emote to move on.

Cargo Boat

For this one, you must visit this lone cargo boat in the water between Mega City and Kenjutsu Crossing. You can also travel to the Coldwater Sanctuary landmark and zipline to the boat. Just as before, make sure to emote.

Steamy Springs Hot Spring

From the barge, run into Steamy Springs and walk into any of the healing hot springs. As this one specifically says swim, you won’t need to emote, but simply hop into the water.

There’s a Tree Where the Three Seasons Collide

The Herald Tree

You will find this tree not far east of Anvil Square. It’s a reference to The Herald villain from Chapter 3 Season 4. As with the others, you will need to emote to continue to the next location.

In the ice biome on the north of the island, there will be a cave by the Solitary Shrine landmark.

Ice Cave Entrance

Right inside the cave from this entrance will be a tower. Just to be safe, break out one of the tower’s walls and emote inside it to get this one.

Ice Cave Tower

This is everything you need to know regarding how to complete all the Postcard Tour Trial Quests in Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2. We’re almost in the final month of this season, so be sure to look at the links below for guides to maximize your battle pass XP gains.

Fortnite Postcard Tour Trials quests are now live with five tasks for players to complete for some extra XP. Unlike the straightforward Week 7 Quests , the Postcard Tour Trials are difficult to decipher.

Players will only be able to find the latest quests if they have completed all four sets of the Trials quests. Once the Postcard Tour Trials unlock, the following tasks will appear:

  • In the city, there is a masked warrior made of lights
  • These boats bring cargo
  • Swim where the water heals
  • There’s a tree where the three seasons collide
  • In the ice cave, look for the tower

Much like the Encrypted Quests from Chapter 4 Season 1, players once again have to navigate cryptic clues without many hints pointing them in the right direction. Here’s a breakdown of all the locations on the Postcard Tour.

1) MEGA City

The masked warrior made of lights can be found near the eastern side of MEGA City. Finding the red Shogun hologram is the easy part; emoting at its base without being shot is the challenge. Landing there off spawn is the best option to quickly perform the task before teams have time to hold angles from the surrounding skyscrapers.

2) The Lake South of MEGA City

The large body of water connecting MEGA City, Steamy Springs, and Kenjutsu Crossing is the site for the “these boats bring cargo” quest. There is a large boat in the middle of the lake with shipment crates. Emote there, and then hit the launch pad west to the next location.

3) Steamy Springs

Any of the springs at Steamy Springs have the power to heal players. Simply swim in one of them to complete the third quest, no emote required.

4) East of Anvil Square

There is a small spot on the map where all three biomes collide, just east of Anvil Square. A tree, carved to look like The Herald, stands atop a hill. Find the character from Fortnite Chapter 3 and then emote at the location.

5) Cold Cavern

Cold Cavern is an underground ice cave northwest of Brutal Bastion. The large clock tower sits at the center of the cave, close to a zipline that will take you aboveground after you emote.

Quick Links

Treasure hunting, process of elimination, trigger happy, bucket list, postcard tour, discovery quests.

Fortnite Chapter 4 Season 2 is live, and players are digging into all of the new content. We have new locations to explore, new weapons to try, new augments to enjoy, and a whole new battle pass to level up. This season launched with a lot to do, so players should be busy for a little while at least.

Trials quests look as if they’ll be updated throughout the season. While these don’t appear to be as consistent as weekly or syndicate quests, we will see more and more throughout the season. When new quests drop, they will be updated right here. If you’re looking to stay up to date on all of your quests, DualShockers has you covered.

These quests reward players with 25K XP for each stage. The quests themselves are fairly straightforward and should be an easy source of XP for players looking to get a jump on the battle pass. It looks as if there will be more quests in this category throughout the season. Be sure to check back here when new quests arrive.

The next step of the Trials Quests will see you mastering different types of weaponry. Well, mastering might be a strong word, but you’ll need to get at least five eliminations with each weapon type. This will help you build to your ultimate goal of 50 eliminations for the second portion of this challenge. This is pretty different from the Treasure Hunting portion of the trials. If you find yourself having a difficult time with these challenges in traditional modes, maybe try out Team Rumble. Death is much more forgiving in Team Rumble and you’ll have ample opportunities to stack up the eliminations.

This batch of trials will be keeping you busy! The Trigger Happy trials are all about dishing out the damage against your opponents. So, you’ll need to get out there and be aggressive, familiarize yourself with shooting under all kinds of conditions, and watch out for people trying to do the same to you! Once you make landing from the Battle Bus, be sure to get your hands on a weapon right away and start using it. Drive into combat fast and your enemies won’t know what hit them.

It’s time to grab yourself a gun and get to work! Dealing damage from above will have you looking for a crow’s nest to perch in while taking shots at enemies. The rest of your trials will keep you on your toes while you test out a variety of weapons

  • Stage 1 of 5 - Deal damage to opponents within 60 seconds of landing… 0/139 25K
  • Stage 2 of 5 - Deal damage to players with Pistols from 10 meters or less… 0/250 25K
  • Stage 3 of 5 - Deal damage to opponents from 3 stories or above… 0/110 25K
  • Stage 4 of 5 - Headshot opponents from 30 meters or more
  • Stage 5 of 5 - Complete Bounties in a single match
  • Stage 1 of 5 - Deal damage to opponents from above 0/1,000 25K
  • Stage 2 of 5 - Deal damage to opponents from above 0/2,000 25K
  • Stage 3 of 5 - Deal damage to opponents from above 0/3,000 25K
  • Stage 4 of 5 - Deal damage to opponents from above 0/4,000 25K
  • Stage 5 of 5 - Deal damage to opponents from above 0/5,000 25K

If you find yourself struggling with these challenges, try completing them in Team Rumble, Zero Build, or even Squads with some teammates. Some of the trials are tough as nails, so there’s nothing wrong with recruiting a little help. If you’re determined to go it solo, maybe try hiring one of the many recruitable NPCs around the map. No matter what your playstyle, just get out there and have some fun with things! That is the most important part of the game, after all.

The Bucket List quests will keep you on your toes with a variety of challenges. You’ll be capping it all off by trying to make it to the top 25 of a bunch of matches. Each stage of these quests rewards the player with 25K XP toward their Battle Pass, which is quite a lot! If you don’t get to complete these quests right away, don’t worry! They’ll stick around for the rest of the season just waiting for you to complete them! But be careful, because letting all of these quests until the end of the season could leave you with a long list of things to do. Either way, at some point during the season, get out there and claim all of that wonderful XP!

  • Stage 1 of 5 - Search containers in a single match… 0/10 25K
  • Stage 2 of 5 - Travel distance in a vehicle in a single match - 0/2,500 25K
  • Stage 3 of 5 - Deal melee damage to opponents in a single match… 0/200 25K
  • Stage 4 of 5 - Hold 3 weapons of Epic rarity or higher at one time 25K
  • Stage 5 of 5 - Assist in eliminating enemy players in a single match… 0/5 25K
  • Stage 1 of 5 - Reach 25 players remaining in a match… 0/2 25K
  • Stage 2 of 5 - Reach 25 players remaining in a match… 0/4 25K
  • Stage 3 of 5 - Reach 25 players remaining in a match… 0/6 25K
  • Stage 4 of 5 - Reach 25 players remaining in a match… 0/8 25K
  • Stage 5 of 5 - Reach 25 players remaining in a match… 0/10 25K

You might find this portion of quests to be especially challenging. If you’re having a difficult time, consider enlisting the help of some friends. If your friends are busy, there’s nothing to fear! Trying grouping up with random players to take the top 25 spot! If you’re still having a hard time reaching the top 25, just remember that you don’t always have to fight your way there. You can always sneak around and survive in the shadows to achieve your goals! Don’t let anything stand between you and that sweet, sweet XP!

The theme to this week’s trials is all about travel. You’ll be all over the map completing these challenges, and you’re probably going to have a lot of fun. Finding different landmarks and emoting at them is a playful way to spend your time in Fortnite, and you’ll be well-rewarded. For your efforts, you’ll receive 25K XP with each trial! Completing all of the challenges will really help you move up the tiers of your Battle Pass! The second batch of quests will just have you wracking up distance between named locations. If you really want to burn through those challenges, grab a vehicle and go on a road trip! Like many road trips, this might be better with a friend. Your buddy can hang out of the window and take out enemy players along the way.

  • Emote inside the Shogun hologram… 0/1 - 25K
  • Emote on the barge… 0/1 - 25K
  • Emote at a hot spring… 0/1 - 25K
  • Emote near The Herald Tree… 0/1 - 25K
  • Emote near the Clock Tower… 0/1 - 25K
  • Stage 1 of 5 - Travel distance between Named locations 0/2,500 - 25K
  • Stage 2 of 5 - Travel distance between Named locations 0/5,000 - 25K
  • Stage 3 of 5 - Travel distance between Named locations 0/7,500 - 25K
  • Stage 4 of 5 - Travel distance between Named locations 0/10,000 - 25K
  • Stage 5 of 5 - Travel distance between Named locations 0/12,500 - 25K

These quests are pretty manageable and shouldn't pose too much of a challenge. However, if you do find yourself struggling, consider changing your strategy. Dropping into a new game mode like Team Rumble could help you get the miles you need between named locations. Dropping into squads could be useful for going to locations with a little more firepower than in a solo match. Either way, don’t give up on earning that sweet XP, because you’ll be kicking yourself if you miss out.

This quest demands that you dabble in creative mode by going to come creator islands. While this may not be a preferred style of play, it does reward 25K XP if you complete it. Check out some of the playlists available and see if anything catches your eye.
