1. Hyderabad

Hyderabad (also known as Bhagya Nagaram) is the fifth largest metropolis of India and the capital of the states of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Ramappa Temple is a historical temple situated at Palampet village in the Warangal district of Telangana. According to local legend, about 300 years ago a farmer Singam sanjeevudu after losing one of his buffalos, came to this hillock searching for it and slept here. Lord Anjaneya came into his dream and told him the whereabouts of his buffalo. As he woke up and looking around the hillock, he found an illuminating idol of Anjaneya. At a distance of 2 km from Nampally Bus Stop, 4.5 km from Vemulawada Bus Stand, 3 km from Vemulawada Temple & 32 km from Karimnagar, Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple is situated at Nampally Gutta. At a distance of 2 km from Girnur Village, 35 km from Kuntala waterfalls, 54 km from Nirmal, 51 km Adilabad and 282 km from Hyderabad, Kanakai waterfalls is a nice waterfall on Kadem river located in Adilabad District of Telangana. This is also a good trekking destination. Bandrev waterfall and Cheekati Gundam are located in a single stretch along with Kanakai waterfalls and all three can be visited together. Sahastrakund Waterfall is an amazing waterfall on the Penganga River, a tributary to Godavari River at Murli village. The water falls can be visited throughout the year, though monsoon is the best season. The water drops from a height of 50 feet to form the breathtaking waterfalls. At a distance of 8 kms from Nampally Railway Station, the KBR National Park is located near Jubilee Hill check post in the heart of Hyderabad City. Named after the former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh late Kasu Brahmananda Reddy, it covers an area of 156 hectares. It was established in 1994 to safeguard the biodiversity and richness of the area. The fauna comprises around 113 species of birds, 20 species of reptiles, 15 species of butterflies, 20 species of mammals and numerous invertebrates. This is one of the popular tourist places to visit near Hyderabad and among ideal weekend getaways from Hyderabad for a day trip. It is situated close to Hyderabad to Srisailam highway and is a popular place to visit while travelling to Srisailam . With a height of about 150 feet, water directly falls from a high cliff on a Shiv Lingas kind of rock formations. Bordered by thick forest, the surroundings of the falls offer unique experience. The water comes from a small stream which flows through the dense jungle and meets the Krishna River. About 380 well laid steps need to be walked down to reach the falls from the road point. The pool below the falls is closed with fencing on all sides. However, there is a path to reach the bottom of the falls and play in the water, if the flow of the stream is not heavy. The water from main falls flow into another pool in the vicinity forming another small but cute waterfall, though reaching bottom of this fall is little difficult. It is said that many sages have performed penances here for Shiva. It is believed that many tigers visit this place to drink water during summer.
