Get ready for two hours of adrenaline-fueled fun on TripAdvisor's top-rated Catalina Island adventure. After a brief safety session, you'll gear up and climb aboard a shuttle that will take you to the ridge top 600 feet above Descanso Beach Club . From there, you'll enjoy sweeping ocean views as you zigzag down and across the canyon and through a grove of towering eucalyptus trees on five separate lines at speeds approaching 35 mph.

Along the way, your trained guides will share interesting facts about the island's flora and fauna, which includes more than 60 species found only on Catalina Island. The tour ends at picturesque Descanso Beach Club, where you can share your Catalina Island Zip Line Eco Tour experiences with friends over signature food and drinks at Avalon 's only beachside restaurant and bar.

Descanso Activities

Catalina Aerial Adventure  is just a short stroll from Descanso Beach, but you’ll feel like you’re deep in the woods, as you climb, swing and slide from tree to tree on a series of obstacles suspended in a grove of towering eucalyptus high above the canyon floor.

Catalina Climbing Wall

Located near the Zip Line base camp, Climbing Wall is 32 feet of rock climbing excitement and adventure for everyone, with eight color-coded routes designed to test all skill levels. Grab hold and race your friends to the top, or challenge yourself to achieve new heights. (currently unavailable)

Experience the thrill and anticipation, as a trained bird of prey swoops down and gently lands on your outstretched hand.  Falconry Experience  in picturesque Descanso Canyon is one of the few places in Southern California where you can don the glove and “be the falconer.”

Cabanas & Chaise Lounges

Enjoy comfortable  chaise lounges and cabanas  at Descanso Beach Club, one of the few places in Southern California where you can have a drink in your hand and your feet in the sand...at the same time. Fantastic drink specials, attentive staff and weekend entertainment all summer long make this secluded getaway just past Catalina Casino the perfect spot to relax and enjoy some island time.
