Physiotherapy.

Our goal at Spire is to improve function, decrease pain, increase strength and build resilience. We strive to understand the “what” and uncover the “why” of our patients’ injury or entrance complaint with an in-depth assessment. Our patient-centered approach to treatment is built on education, hands on treatment as well as patient involvement through exercise and movement. These prescribed programs are designed to be simple and reproducible for home use. After an assessment appointment, choose from a variety of follow up appointment lengths to meet individual treatment needs. We offer a wide variety of special interest areas of physiotherapy for all ages. Our physiotherapy services aim to prevent injuries from holding back aspects of life that bring you joy.

Massage Therapy

Spire is pleased to offer sports injury massage, deep tissue massage, relaxation massage and therapeutic options to supplement our patients’ wellness plan. Massage therapy involves movement of soft tissue structures in the body including muscle, fascia, ligaments, tendons and more. Massage therapy may assist in alleviating muscle tension and decreasing pain by promoting blood and lymphatic flow. These changes are often associated with an overall feeling of relaxation and stress reduction. We welcome all ages and populations including perinatal, postnatal, and paediatric clients.

Athletic Therapy

Spire’s Athletic Therapists are passionate to work with all patient populations in meeting their personal and fitness goals. Our hands-on approach includes an in-depth assessment to discover the root cause of an injury or entrance complaint. Through education, treatment and exercise prescription, Spire’s Athletic Therapists' primary goal is to decrease pain, improve strength and return to pain free activity. It is a common misconception that Athletic Therapy is only for athletes, however all individuals can benefit from the diverse practices of a Certified Athletic Therapist.

Chiropractic

Ashley accepts same day appointments, if you do not see a booking availability within your preference, please feel free to contact our team at (431) 317-3500 or add yourself to the waitlist to get a call back.

The Spire Team runs a variety of fitness classes including post-operative hip and knee classes, prenatal fitness sessions, postpartum fitness classes, running clubs and women’s bootcamp classes. Our classes provide both a physical work out as well as a strong focus on education topics related to the class population. Some classes will feature external speakers for specific topics of interest. We also periodically offer information seminars on a variety of health topics. Please see our events page for more information on what is coming up soon!

Before seeing my GP, I would like advice on seeing a specialist privately.

If you have health insurance - simply call the customer services advisor at your local Spire hospital. They will discuss your needs and the next steps to arranging a consultation with us.

If you don’t have insurance, a customer services advisor at your local Spire hospital would be happy to discuss your needs and let you know whether a GP referral is required to see one of our specialists.

I know the type or name of the specialist I want to see. How do I book?

If you have health insurance, call your local Spire hospital to find out about consultant appointment availability. You will need to contact your insurer to confirm whether you are covered for your consultation and whether you need a GP referral. If so, visit your GP and ask to be referred to a specialist at Spire.

If you don’t have insurance, check out our treatment page information or call us to obtain a price and to book an appointment with your chosen specialist. Our advisors will also discuss if you’ll need to get a GP referral.

I’d like an opinion on the most appropriate specialist to see for my symptoms.

If you have health insurance, your local Spire hospital may be able to offer you a private GP appointment to discuss your symptoms. Call our customer service advisors for more information. Or you can visit your usual GP and ask for their referral advice and then call us to make an appointment. Your GP may give you a referral letter or may send it direct to your local Spire hospital.

If you don’t have insurance, we might be able to offer you a private GP appointment to discuss your symptoms. Call our customer services advisor for more information. Alternatively you can visit your usual GP and ask for them to give you advice and then call us to make an appointment. Your GP may give you a referral letter or may send it direct to us.

I don't have time to see my NHS GP, but I know the type or name of the specialist I want to see.

If you have insurance, in most cases your insurer will require you to have a GP referral before you can see a specialist privately. However your local Spire hospital may be able to offer you a private GP appointment to discuss your symptoms. Call one of our customer service advisors at your local Spire hospital for more information.
