Unforgettable EGYPT 🇪🇬

Egypt is amazing country, Nile River Cruise is unique experience can’t compare with any Cruise, my trip to Egypt with my favorite OAT was unforgettable

This was our 9th trip with OAT. We will take our 10th with them in October 2023. We love small group travel (12-13 people) and the fact that with OAT, you are a traveler, not a tourist. You of course see the well known sites (Taj Mahal, etc) but you also have many many opportunities to interact with local people. As retired educators, we especially like being able to visit local schools. Accommodations are always very nice, and centrally located. another great thing we like about OAT is periodically they will put trips “on sale”.

Our tour to Turkey was excellent. Very well organized, great itinerary, nice hotels, good food. Excellent and very knowledgeable with great personality was our tour guide Hakan. Thank you so much! Elena and George

After having experienced 6 enjoyable trips with OAT and Grand Circle, we were sorely disappointed with what was to be our 7th. We booked the 8/2020 Norway Fjord cruise on 2/20/2020 with a payment of $14,000, only to have it cancelled shortly thereafter due to COVID. As OAT would not return our money, we reluctantly agreed to taking the pre-paid trip the following year, again only to have it cancelled due to COVID. We did receive a travel certificate for $15,900 at this time and re-booked the trip for 8/2022. In 8/2022, we contacted OAT to advise we could not take the trip due to my wife's pending lumbar surgery, and they agreed to roll over the trip to 8/2023. All good at this point; however, when we had to advise we were again unable to take the trip due to my experiencing a blood clot on 7/6/2023, OAT did not suggest a roll-over, and we ended up cancelling. Long story short, even with waiver insurance, we have paid them $22,388 total for the trip and received a refund of $5,300. They have not considered their issued Travel Certificate for $15,900, nor double payment of insurance, in arriving at this total. And I don't believe, as a retired insurance executive, their statement that the insurance company is the culprit in these situations. While we often recommended OAT to others (12 times), I doubt we will again in the future.

Best American tour operator!!! Their toura in Portugal and Spain are very interesting with great local interaction and learning.

Traveling to Iceland was an experience I'll always remember - hiking on glaciers and through lava fields, climbing in behind waterfalls, eating shark - are just some of my adventures. Our group consisted of only 16 people, six of whom were single, solo travelers, as was I. The trip leader was kind but efficient; she looked out for all of us, especially those who were less physically fit. The hotels were clean and the staff were friendly and responsive. The pacing of the daily activities and the amount of time spent in each part of the country was just about right. .. 3 nights in Selfloss, 2 in Stykkisholmur, 1 in Daeli, 3 in Akureyri and 3 in Reykjavik. Only "miss" was not seeing the northern lights due to time of year and light pollution in the cities we slept in.
