Top airlines flying from Victoria to Orlando
Good. Really crowded and busy. Going to Winnipeg plane was crowded and seats very narrow Now I remember why I dislike flying 😈
Having a lot of delayed flights on West Jet, however things always work out. So no complaints.
Three hours on the tarmac before a four hour flight. I was hungry given the long wait, yet still had to pay for food service
I had planned to watch the Westjet entertainment for the entire flight however, because the seat mounted outlets in our row did not work.
Not a bad flight but our priority tagged luggage was the very last to come down the carousel.
The flight itself was good, the departure process was a little chaotic but once on the plane it was fine. The carry on luggage amounts is ridiculous. My husband’s suitcase was left behind in Kelowna. We could see it sitting there with our airtag. It was put on the next plane 6 hrs later but it was not delivered until the next afternoon. Unfortunately we had a business meeting Friday morning so he had no change of clothing for that.
Westjet cancelled the flight and I had to show up at the airport to rebook it, losing 2 days of my vacation, and no compensation, a crappy itinerary with no extra legroom which we paid for, no ability to use the lounge passes we paid for - basically a crappy experience. Not a reliable airline if you have a big trip planned.
Flight was delayed, but was good once on our way. Voucher helped - bought a meal. Great landing
Plane had a flat tire, delayed boarding and takeoff but one in the air, smooth. Make sure you have downloaded the WJ app before you leave. When on board, you can watch movies or TV shows offered on the app, it passed the time very quickly.
WestJet shorthaul gates at YVR are a ridiculously long walk from the exits and baggage claim. We must have walked past a dozen empty slots, making me wonder whose comfort or convenience was being considered...certainly not passengers. When it takes as long to walk from the gate as it took to fly, you might wonder Otherwise, the flight, crew etc were fine.
-kayak did not give me advanced notice to my e-mail for my flight and I had major trouble finding the code to access Air Canada’s site because you did not provide it to me and incompetent Air Canada did not have any access based on my name alone. WTF -The flight was delayed twice. -They moved the boarding area -They said I would give free checked baggage because the plane was full and they charged me over $30 -They didn’t get my luggage on to the plane and left without it and I’m heading to a cruise ship. -I have lost one FULL day of my limited holiday and had to cancel scheduled events because my luggage did not get on the plane (even though the plane was delayed). -The “wheresmyluggage.com site is a total incompetent disaster that caused additional stress. -I will be sharing this experience
The crowding at the gate to get on is ridiculous.
The crew suki/zuki is very rude. The zoning is only being announce once and there’s no way we will know what is currently allowed to board. I’m zone 5 (currently it was zone 3 but hich I didn’t know coz i went to the restroom). I saw a guy (zone 4) start boarding also. Then my husband (zone 5) started boarding also. But when it’s my turn, he said that i have to wait coz it’s still zone 3 and I questioned him why was my husband allowed when we are both zone 5 and i pointed to him my husband who’s boarding already and he told me to be attentive next time. And i told him he was so rude u like the other lady staff who is nice. The lady is the one who allowed the man (zone 4) and my husband to start boarding. There were 2 lines (the lady and suki)
The original connecting flight from Vancouver to Portland was canceled and then delayed. I ended up waiting for almost seven hours instead of three.
Can’t comment on food, I didn’t have any but I don’t ever plan on it so I guess that says something on its own. Seats & arm rests are uncomfortable, have to use own devices for entertainment and there was no where to charge. Air travel has become barbaric, if I didn’t need to do it for work I’d stay home.
I paid extra for a window seat and when I got to my seat I had a wall where the window was supposed to be, this ruined my experience with AC! Also, there were no complimentary snacks, I will probably not book another flight with this air Canada again.
Air Canada was great and boarding was fine. The issue was that we received an email from Air Canada to check in (we were directed to Air Canada’s website). When we tried to check in online we couldn’t. So we decided to go to Air Canada check-in desks at the airport. When we arrived there they said that we needed to check in with United Airlines (which was in a different terminal and required an air train or long walk to get there). There was no indication during the booking process that we needed to check in with United so it was impossible to know. Hopefully this can be fixed going forward to travelers know which airline is processing their check-in. Seems like a basic thing that should be communicated during the check-in process. Other than that, everything else went well.
Poor communication, when they chose to change my airlines to Alaska when entering back in the US. Even gate agents were confused.
Both flights were good however , zero entertainment on YYZ to RSW flight. Helps to have some distraction on flights over 2 hours.
There was no food on this flight. We had less than 1/3 full plane and were not allowed to spread out. Staff gave the story of the plane had to have all of us up front for 'balance.' Total bs.

However, Zipair does not include *anything* in their base fares, other than a small piece of hand luggage. Seat selection, actual carry-on, checked bags, and even meals are all extra.
- If you want to quickly compare Zipair against their competitors, add about $220 CAD roundtrip to their cheapest prices. This is the typical cost of their 'value' package which brings things back to 'expected' (carry-on, seat selection, in-flight meals, and a checked bag.).
- So as of right now, these flights are really around $673 + $220 roundtrip, or $893 CAD roundtrip. For comparison, the cheapest prices with Air Canada, ANA, and Japan Airlines for a nonstop flight are currently $1820 CAD roundtrip.
(Update: Air Canada has dropped their spring prices down to between $1226 and $1387 CAD roundtrip)
Zipair 'Full Flat' Class
Zipair also offers something called 'Full Flat'' class with lie-flat seats that are significantly cheaper than Business Class fares offered by competitors.
But again, this Full Flat class is stripped down to it's bare minimum. Full Flat is essentially Economy with a better seat. That's all you get.
You still need to pay extra for things that would normally be included on a typical Business Class flight (bags, seat selection, and inflight meals).
Priority check-in, baggage handling or boarding, and lounge access are also not included.
Also note that in Full Flat there are no built in screens. You bring your own device and stream entertainment wirelessly.
All that being said, Full Flat can still be a pretty great deal relative to typical business class fares.
Full Flat is generally around 2X economy price, so let's say $1800-$2200 CAD roundtrip.
Compare that to a typical Business class flight from YVR to Tokyo, which is about $4000-$5000 roundtrip.
September and October are the two months where ZIPAir is still showing some base prices in the high $600s to low $700s roundtrip (Update: They are now in the low $800s roundtrip).
Try this Google Flights link to search for them.
The introduction of ZIPAir has forced Air Canada to lower the price of their flights to Tokyo to under $1000 CAD roundtrip for the first time in a very long time.
Air Canada's $999 roundtrip flights to Tokyo can currently be found in late May, June and September. (Update: They are currently $1078 CAD roundtrip)
ANA seems to think they can still get away with price levels of $2000-$2400 roundtrip. I mean they're a great airline, but, wow.

Welcome to visit moscow tours.
We provide authentic, informative and memorable tour packages and city tours, at very competitive prices. Visit Moscow Tours are available not only in Moscow, but also in other cities: Saint Petersburg, Kazan, Suzdal and Sergiev Posad. We also organise customised individual programs tailored just for you.
Our guests come in large groups, small private groups, as couples or as single travellers. We take care of and treat our guests with respect in a friendly and warm family environment. We show people our beautiful cities with passion and deep knowledge of their history, culture and traditions.
Our guides are extremely hospitable, helpful and well-informed. They are simply the best because only by providing the best services can we make the world fall in love with Russia. And we are very happy when our guests say that they will definitely come back to Russia and that they will tell all their friends how great Russia is! That is what inspires us to put even more dedication and hard work into our tours, knowing that what we do is positive and meaningful.
Our classic tours include tours of Moscow and Saint Petersburg, two main Russian cities.
Moscow is a big and busy megalopolis and Russia’s capital city, where more than 12 million people live and work. Our capital city is happening place; it is mysterious, elegant, luxurious, fashionable, clean and bright, with its unique legends, traditions and events. It is with great pride that we show the Red Square and the Kremlin, our Underground and Tretyakovskaya Gallery, among other stunning attractions.
Saint Petersburg is our second capital, the second largest city in the Russian Federation. This wonderful city has a strong and lively aristocratic spirit, uniquely Russian royal architecture, magnificent museums and theatres. Saint Petersburg bears the royal heritage of Russia, which can be felt in its air, its streets, parks, monuments, museums and citizens. In Saint Petersburg tours, we will take you to the Hermitage, Peter and Paul Fortress, Faberge Museum and Orthodox Cathedrals. We’re sure you will love it!
If you have a few more days to spare, venture into the dreamy Russian countryside in Suzdal or Sergiev Posad. Suzdal is a small town with a population of about ten thousand people, situated on less than 15 square kilometres. This tiny area is home to 53 historic cathedrals, five monasteries and a kremlin. Church domes are visible like mushrooms from anywhere and everywhere in the town like in a fairy tale. No wonder Suzdal is called the ‘Town Museum”. It is definitely worth visiting!
Just try any of Visit Moscow Tours’ tour packages or any individual city tour, and we promise that you will want to come back to Russia again. Russia is huge with countless amazing places to visit. There are so many unique experiences to be had and energies to be felt that one tour is definitely not enough to explore this vast land. It is also a very safe destination to travel, and we have a tradition of warm hospitality. Our people adore and take care of visitors as our own guests, and even if they do not know your language very well, they still try to be helpful and hospitable.
Our guides will show you the most interesting attractions and historical places, taking you on a journey to the past to enjoy stories of medieval times, the Romanov monarchy, the Soviet Era. And of course, we will show you the contemporary life of our country through authentic local experiences.
We look forward to meeting you soon!
Russia Tour Packages
Places to visit in russia.
- The Moscow Kremlin: This is the best place known for the Kremlins (Russian citadels), a fortified complex in the center of Moscow. It includes five palaces, four cathedrals, and the enclosed Kremlin Wall with Kremlin towers. In addition, within the complex is the Grand Kremlin Palace, formerly the Russian emperor's residence in Moscow. The complex is now the official residence of the Russian president. It also features a museum with over three million visitors every year. It overlooks the Moskva River to the south, Saint Basil's Cathedral and Red Square to the east, and Alexander Garden to the west.
- Red Square: It is next to the Kremlin, which has an east wall, and the famous Pokrovski Cathedral (Cathedral of St Basil the Blessed), which is one of the most beautiful monuments of age-old Russian architecture built in 1555–1560, symbolizing the victory of Ivan the Terrible over the Kazan Khanate. It has magnificent domes apart from paintings inside and outside the cathedral. Red Square is one of the oldest and largest squares in Moscow, which is the site of official military parades and demonstrations intended to display the strength of Soviet armed forces.
- Baikal Lake: Lake Baikal is extensive and diverse so that everyone can put it on the itinerary for a perfect holiday here. From just sitting on its shore to hiking up Chersky Mountain, it offers leisure and adventure. The area surrounding Baikal is unique, and many of the flora and fauna exist only in this area. The lake is filled with rich marine life like Baikal Seals, 50 species of fish, 25 species of gobies, and over 320 bird species. This lake is protected under the Lake Baikal Coastal Protection Zone and is now designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site.
- The State Tretyakov Gallery: It is an art gallery in Moscow, considered the foremost depository of Russian fine art in the world. It was built in 1856 when the Moscow merchant Pavel Mikhailovich Tretyakov acquired artworks by Russian artists to create a collection that might later grow into a national art museum.
- Sochi: Sochi is known as a city and resort area of Krasnodar Kray (territory), in the southwestern region of Russia. The city shares a border with the Black Sea coast at the foot of the western part of the main Caucasus Mountain range. The presence of mineral springs, beautiful coastal and mountain scenery, long beaches, and a pleasantly warm climate has made Sochi a large and popular holiday destination and a health resort for vacationers. Sochi has dozens of hotels, tourist centers, campsites, and over 50 sanatoriums. The streets of the city and gardens are filled with exotic subtropical trees and shrubs.
- Lighthouse Egersheld: Established in 1876, Lighthouse Egersheld is one of the oldest lighthouses in Russia. It is located on an artificial stony spit from Tokarevsky Cape - the so-called Tokarevskaya Koshka. Tourists can visit the first one from the Tokarevsky Cape to the lighthouse by car. Another part of the spit, leaving into the sea, is called the "cat's tail,” which one can reach during the low tide.
- Kenozersky National Park: About 550 miles from Moscow city, the Kenozersky National Park contains natural and cultural monuments. It is also a famous ecotourism destination. Several trails have been opened in the park. In addition, there are many wooden architectural monuments. The park is home to small, quaint villages, rugged hills, ancient wooden chapels, and serene lakes. It is encompassed by breathtaking taiga forest and huge wetlands that add to its charm. This attraction was declared a UNESCO biosphere reserve in 2004.
- The Golden Ring: The name ‘Golden Ring’ refers to an overland tourist route, a return loop from Moscow that became a popular journey among Muscovite travelers in the 60s. This is a perfect retreat to the medieval cities of Russia. It is nestled amidst green hills and floral meadows, with rambling country roads surrounded by forests, lakes, orchards, and wooden farmhouses.
- Kizhi Island: It is declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, located amidst Lake Onega. The island is home to stunning wooden architectural marvels and shows brilliant traditional crafts. It also features the country’s oldest wooden church - the Church of the Resurrection, which dates to the 14th century.

Most of the bulk collection of this museum comes from the Winter Palace, a house for the Russian Rulers.
- Catch a show at Moscow Cat Theatre: The Moscow Cat Theatre is a world-famous feline-centric circus in which over 100 cat actors perform stunts who are well trained along with their human masters, and they perform various acts like balancing on a ball, walking a tightrope, etc. It was founded by the veteran Russian clown Yuri Kuklachev in the year 1990 to entertain Russians with something unusual and new.
- Check out the psychedelic salt mines: There’s your typical salt mine and then there’s the psychedelic salt mine - a unique mine made hundreds of years ago. It lies below Yekaterinburg City, an abandoned Psychedelic Salt Mine replete with a natural wonder of colored patterned walls. It is the most captivating site and the beauty of the mine leaves you dazzled. This is one of the most fascinating things to explore in Russia. It contains layers of carnallite, creating swirls of colors on the tunnel walls, making technicolor masterpieces throughout the rocks. The color spectrum varies from yellow, white, and reddish to blue and even completely colorless.
- Go ice skating at Gorky Park: This activity that most young generations enjoy is Moscow’s premier green space, Gorky Park, which is meant for ice skating. It is one of the most fun activities in Russia, and many tourists watch or experience it. In winter, half of it gets converted into one of the city's biggest skating rinks, where over 4000 visitors can enjoy a lifetime skating experience. You can glide over the ice with your skates, and it is one of the milkiest smooth ices among beautiful surroundings, illuminated paths, lovely crowds, and melodic music.

So so. Need to bring back real food and INCREASE WIDTH OF SEATS!
I went Premium otherwise it would have been a long wait. On board I only asked for a cup of hot water and got lukewarm. Cabin crew have poor to no service. But great flight; it went smooth.
I really like the wifi movie option. It made the 4 hrs flight go by fast.
I think the pilots deserve most of the credit, the flight was smooth and they got us to Denver in a major winter storm when many of the airlines cancelled on other people . Alaska has my loyalty- must have better more capable pilots. Was on 720 - Seattle- Denver. The crew was alright, one of the stewards was obnoxious about applying for a credit cards she went on and on about how much she used hers- it was over the top and a turn off.
Midway through the flight the stewardess moved a man from the back of the plane to the empty seat next to me, since I was sleeping I had not voiced a preferance either way. The stewardess woke me up to say I could move to the back of the plane if I objected to the man sitting next to me, at which point I simply asked "Why?" she was speechless and quickly returned to her duties. It was a strange encounter that seemed to make no sense, even now in reflection.
Considering today's travel conditions Alaska did everything that they could do for me. I'm hoping the return flight will be as uneventful.
I appreciated the check-in at SEATAC - a knowledgeable person was available. I found it easy to ask questions as I went along. I hadn't been at SEATAC for a year and was not that familiar. Parking was fine at Sacramento
Amazing! I will fly Alaskan as much as I can when traveling .
Boarding was smooth and efficient. Flight Attendants were polite and friendly. Lots of overhead bin space because of the way people placed their bags.
The flight was bumpy and hard landing. No in-flight entertainment onboard couldn't connect to wifi.
pleased with overall experienced, but seats in coach are tight.
Flight delayed, boarding time kept changing, not good. Nee firm information given each time.
Food choice is limited, entertainment better than average, seat leg room terrible
Horrible. Flight was delayed and very bumpy. I was super unhappy
While I received notice that AA 478 was delayed, the flight departed PHX and arrived PHL more than two hours late. The first class cabin service was mediocre; there were no pre-departure beverages offered; there were no warm mixed nuts served with cocktails; there was no personal greeting to me as an Executive Platinum member by the first class flight attendant. While the flight operated safely, its arrival at 0219 in the morning in PHL ended a very long day. I do not feel that American provided first class service.
Don't often sit in 1st class. Our experience was great.
No meal on a cross country flight? SFO-MiA is pretty much the definition of a coast to coast flight. No meal provided. Sky high wi-fi rates too. Stop nickel and diming your customers.
The 2 hour delay was frustrating but our crew did a great job getting us out quickly and keeping communication especially with the people who had connecting flights
Got a much appreciated surprise upgrade to an exit row and the crew was very friendly and helpful.
The only problem experienced was a ground stop in Chicago due to weather. But the crew handled everything professionally. They prioritized rebooking those passengers who had connecting flights and then deplaning the other passengers. When the hold was lifted, they efficiently re-boarded all the passengers so that we could depart before our departure limit expired.
No food, not even snacks on the 6hr flight from Newark to Vancouver! The movie collection made up for it though and they did come around with drinks twice. Just good to know so you can eat ahead/bring snacks onto the flight. It was a bumpy ride induced by wind and rain but otherwise got to the destination safely and promptly.
Free ear adapters for movie screen and a snack with a beverage.
On the flight back from SFO to Vancouver ..the crew was less than professional. They completely missed asking if I wanted a drink (and I was awake at all times) and I had to walk to the back of the plane to ask for a cup of water to take with my medication. Also, there was a charge for ear adapters for the movie screen which were given out free on the flight from Vancouver to SFO. The flight from Vancouver to SFO had pleasant crew members. What a difference in the flight back.
The flight attendant Shannon was not very warm and was more focused on her own preferences for service than the customers in first class.
I didn’t get to go on my flight. I cracked a rib and tried to contact kayak Air Canada and United Airlines and everyone gave me the runaround. No one reached back out to me and I couldn’t go on my trip. I have used kayak in the past to book flights, but I will never do it again because that experience of trying to get a hold of someone to explain my situation was awful. Everyone gave me the runaround that I did speak to and no one was helpful and kayak was unreachable.
Service was great. Free food and alcohol would have made it better
First time flying long haul on AC. No pajamas but the service was top notch and the seat/bed was very comfy. Would recommend and was much nicer than my last flight on Qantas.
No food offered. Parents with babies placed in the middle of the plane. Next time, place parents with babies in the corners of the plane to ensure comfort for others who don’t have babies.
Everything with the flight was okay, but things Air Canada can’t control, such as the delayed flight, and the disastrous situation at the Palm Springs airport with such overcrowded waiting areas really makes me think twice about flying from there again.
Hours delayed due to crew issues Pushed back waited and waited due to technical difficulties Then had to be sprayed Entertainment system did not work. Crew said they tried to reboot…
