Starting the day to visit the impressive Borobudur  Buddhist Temple in Central Java, the temple itself is not the only place  of interest in the area. Not far from Borobudur is an interesting  little village called Candirejo that is definitely worth a visit. For a  break from “modern” life, designate a few days to watch, learn and  experience life in this this quaint town, where ancient traditions are  still followed, and indeed the village is best known for how it has  maintained the authenticity of such traditions. Candirejo Village is  located in the Borobudur District, about 3 kilometers southeast of  Borobudur Temple in Magelang, Central Java.

We will begin the tour from outside the main gate of Borobudur Temple. The first spot to visit will be a local market. In this local market, our guide will explain any local products available.

Especially the spices, the main export commodity of Indonesia since from the middle century. The next, we will past the ancient lake in the north of Borobudur Temple. In here, you will notice that in early built, Borobudur Temple was created like Lotus Flower above the water, as a common symbol in Buddhism.

Our meeting point will be outside the Main Gate No.1 of Borobudur Temple. It is in the meeting corner between Badrawati Street and Balaputradewa Street. If your hotel is within radius 5 KM from Borobudur Temple, we can manage a pick up service for you for free. But if your hotel is in Yogyakarta City Centre, you have to go to Borobudur by Taxi or any shuttle service.
