Mario Kart Tour 2nd Anniversary Tour is Now Live

The 2nd Anniversary Tour event is now underway in Mario Kart Tour . The first half of the event sees the reappearance of tracks based on real-world locations, as well as the return of community-favorite drivers and new variant styles of characters, courses and karts.

As detailed on Mario Kart Tour’ s official Twitter account and in the in-game news, this event will feature challenges the player can complete to earn rubies. Completing all challenges will earn the player a High-End Mario (Classic) driver. Kart Pro and 2-Player Challenge events will also be featured alongside each other during the 2nd Anniversary Tour, as well as premium challenges. The Token Shop will feature 6 high-end purchase options, including Metal Mario and Pink Gold Peach, with every item costing 100 tokens.

Birdo (Blue) is a brand new driver being added as a reward for players that place in the top three of ranked cups during both halves of the 2nd Anniversary Tour, with Blue Turbo Birdo being awarded to players placing in the top six. Pipes and special offers will also include High-End drivers, karts and gliders from tours throughout Mario Kart Tour’s history. 2nd Anniversary Pipe 1, a special offer featuring Luigi (classic) and another featuring Donkey Kong Jr. (SNES) will be available from 22nd September 2021 until 6th October 2021. City Racer Pipe 1, Sunset Cloud Special Offer and Special Offer Crimson Hop Rod will be available from 22nd to the 29th September 2021. Finally, the 2nd Anniversary Pipe 2, City Racer Pipe 2 and 5 special offers will be available from the 29th September 2021 until the 6th of October 2021.

The 2nd Anniversary Pipe 1 spotlights Pauline, Mario (Hamaka), Peach (Kimono), Peach (Vacation) and Luigi (Painter). City Racer Pipe Pipe 1 does not spotlight any characters but features Pauline, Mario (Racer), Peach (Cherub) and Waluigi (Bus driver) and brand-new variants of B Dasher Mk. 2

A Twitter campaign was also launched on the official Mario Kart Tour account, offering players double the number of retweets the tweet gets as in-game coins, up to a maximum of 22,222 coins, as well as 20 coins for sharing photos taken in the game’s auto mode.

Mario Kart Tour’s 2nd Anniversary Tour: All New Content Added

It is time to celebrate with Mario Kart Tour! To mark the mobile racing game’s 2nd anniversary, Mario Kart Tour have prepared a range of events for all racers between 22/09 and 06/10. The events include 2nd Anniversary Challenges, all new Tour Gifts to win, an exclusive 2nd anniversary pipe, and exclusive items to buy in the shop. Racers will also see the return of the 8 city courses and challenge rewards if you complete them all.

Collect Grand Stars as you race and take advantage of the Coins Aplenty event that is running alongside on Tuesdays and Saturdays during this special anniversary tour! This tour’s Tour Gifts include the usual Rubies and Tickets, but you also have the chance to win Baby Luigi in the Standard Pass or Gold Koopa (Freerunning) if you have the Gold Pass.

If you complete the 2nd Anniversary Challenges you will win the High-End Mario (Classic) and a total of 27 Rubies. The challenges running during this period are:

Mario Kart Tour Launches Event To Celebrate Its 2nd Anniversary

Mario Kart Tour is now two years old, and is evidently still popular enough to keep on rolling with fortnightly events and content updates. Nintendo is rolling out plenty of goodies to celebrate the landmark with the 2nd Anniversary Tour, which is running now until 5th/6th October.

As you can see in the trailer a big part of the celebration is the return of 8 city courses into the rotation, adding a bit of style and variety for the next two weeks. Some familiar character designs are also returning, along with an RT promotion that could earn players a whole lot of coins.

I wish I still have my GameCube so I could play some Double Dash. About time we had gamecube games on the VC.

Been playing this 2 years and I have all these players. Haven’t spent a penny on this game. Really love and appreciate all the updates this Mario kart tour team has given us

sigh I mean, I’m not entirely sure this mobile monstrosity is really to blame for not getting MK9 since 8 still sells bananas amounts. But I’m still not happy it exists. I just hope if we ever get a Mario Kart 9 it’s more of a Nintendo Kart and has tracks from Kirby, Zelda, Metroid, and has racers from across Nintendo franchises. MK8 gave us a little Costco table sample with its DLC and I want the meal!

2014-2021 all hail Mario Kart 8 may we all be playing it when we are in are 50's!

Y'all aren't missing much, this tour isn't anything special if you're a long time player and still isn't great if you're newer (they added 7 recolors of one kart, New York Minute 4 is sloppily designed, items in the pipe are largely obsolete, etc.)

This tour is great because we get to play all the cities, my favourite is Berlin. I have been playing it for 2 years every day, I have never spent more than gold pass, some of my friends play it for free, and the game doesn't push you to pay really, just ignore the microtransactions and play it casually, it's not better or worse than other MK games, it's just different.

It is a great free game, which was judged too harshly for its minor gotcha mechanic. I’ve never spent a dime on it and I never will spend a dime on it, but it is a blast to play for free and I play it every weekend

Anyone who says that mobile games haven't contributed to a steep decline in original console game development is kidding themselves. Look at the sheer number of Wii U ports and long gaps between first-party releases on the Switch that coincides directly with their delving into the mobile arena. You betcha it could've used a Mario Kart 9, among other things, some time ago already, just as it could've used a true "AAA" tentpole release for this Christmas season (as good as it may end up being, Metroid Dread just doesn't have that vibe of a "system mover" for me). And Sega, Square, and other publishers are taking long-requested IPs (Shining Force is a HUGE example) and original projects to mobiles as well. Go ahead, try and find anyone who was pleased to hear that either SF or the upcoming new JRPG by Sega was announced for mobiles as opposed to consoles, including the Switch. It was a slap in the face (the latest of MANY).

Mobile games may be good for the industry (i.e. make lots of $$$), but they're absolutely bad for console gamers and the hobby we've loved and supported for decades, and that's without even mentioning the pay-to-win/progress and other abominable business models associated with them. If you love your consoles and want major publishers placing proper focus on supporting them you will NOT support mobile games. Of course, that's your call, but for me personally, I stay clear of them out of principle.

I've enjoyed the anniversary tour so far. This is a fun little game that I don't have to take seriously to enjoy. And I like the fact that I can enjoy all of the tracks without spending any money on it.

The reason why Nintendo is celebrating the anniversary is because there are plenty of people around the world playing Tour and happily enjoying the game. Myself included.

It might not deliver the Mario Kart that you want. But don’t underestimate Tour, or conveniently ignore the thousands of people around the world who play it regularly.

@Mando44646 I completely agree. I get the financial aspects of this with MK8D still selling strong and consistently. But I bet more than half have been playing this for three years. And several million have been playing it since launch in 2014. It’s time for an update….

@Mando44646 Yeah the game has Gacha mechanics. Is it gambling? That’s up for discussion. The game is available to play in many places where gambling is illegal. And available to download by under 18’s.

Regardless, the game is good! Very good in fact. And I’m very happy with the on-going support that Nintendo give the game.

Me personally, I’m a serious Tour Weekly Rankings player, aiming for the top slots every week.

@Ajnin gatcha is gambling, period. Its real world money for randomized prizes. Paying for randomized prizes is a definition of gambling, no different than a craps table in Vegas.

Just because the government fails to understand what the internet is, much less specific video game mechanics, doesn't make it not gambling. There's a reason European nations have started investigating it. Nintendo is marketing gambling to children, regardless of legality. Morals/ethics =/= laws

We shouldn't encourage that, regardless of how we feel about the product itself. If it was rated 18+/M, I wouldn't raise a concern

There are a total of 14 different Mario Kart games, and yet only a handful are seemingly counted in the total for a numerical addition to the series.

Six on home consoles, three on handheld consoles, four arcade games co-developed with Namco, and one for mobile phones.

Mario Kart Tour is not MK9 and never will be.

Mario Kart Tour 2nd Anniversary Tour announced

As the Sydney Tour draws to a close in Mario Kart Tour, the game’s official Twitter account has teased the next big event heading to the racing title with a new promotional image, which we have added above.

Currently, Mario Kart Tour is hosting the second part of its Sydney Tour, which is expected to end on September 22. When that happens, the next tour will be rolled out, the 2nd Anniversary Tour. Leading up to these events, Nintendo usually publishes a trailer, which we will share along with any other details as they become available.

Few details have been revealed outside of the above image showcasing several returning Racers, but Mario Kart Tour’s official Twitter account notes that the Tour will feature 8 cities to race through.

Mario Kart Tour is available on both iOS and Android, and released for the platforms in 2019. Since then, the game has hosted a constant stream of Tours for players to participate in, releasing new Racers and Karts frequently. The current Tour is the Sydney Tour, featuring content based on Australia. XG Announces Initial Dates for First World Tour: See the Schedule

XG announced the details of its highly anticipated first world tour kicking off in May, entitled XG 1st WORLD TOUR “The first HOWL.” 

The seven-member girl group that recently celebrated its second anniversary on Mar. 18 is set to launch its global trek in Japan two months later on May 18 and 19 at the Osaka-jo Hall. The group will then perform at K Arena Yokohama on May 25 and 26 and go on to do shows in a number of Asian cities and regions including Kuala Lumpur, Singapore, Seoul, Taipei, Bangkok, and Manila.

The Anniversary Tour was the seventy-ninth tour of Mario Kart Tour, which began on September 21, 2022 and ended on October 4, 2022. This tour celebrated three years since the release of Mario Kart Tour on September 25, 2019, but unlike the 1st and 2nd Anniversary Tours, this tour's name did not contain a number representing the anniversary it celebrated.

This tour marked the end of the two-tour event celebrating the third anniversary of Mario Kart Tour that started in the previous tour. This tour featured an upgraded Token Shop that included items like Metal Mario, Pink Gold Peach, the Wild Wing, and three golden pipes. This tour also introduced the second set of two 3rd Anniversary Challenges cards in addition to continuing the 3 Year Anniv. Log-In Bonus and the 3rd Anniversary Challenges 1 card from the previous tour.[1]

Like the 2nd Anniversary Tour and Metropolitan Tour, only city courses appeared in the tour. This tour also introduced new routes for both Sydney Sprint and Berlin Byways, named Sydney Sprint 3 and Berlin Byways 3, the former of which was previously seen in the course's appearance in the Booster Course Pass for Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. It also introduced the R/T variants of both Amsterdam Drift 2 and Singapore Speedway 2, which debuted in the Metropolitan Tour and Ocean Tour, respectively. With the introduction of these courses, this was the first tour since the Samurai Tour thirteen tours prior to introduce new R/T variants, the first tour in the game to introduce the R/T variants of multiple city courses, and the first tour since the Ice Tour seventy tours prior to introduce both multiple new courses and multiple R/T variants simultaneously.

Despite the new courses not being related to London or Britain, and the tour not including returning London Loop tracks, the new vehicles are a variant of the Double-Decker and a kart based on a Hackney carriage, in addition to a new variant of Mario, where he is in his King's Crown and King's Outfit from Super Mario Odyssey.

This was the last tour to feature the regular week pipes which would be fired with rubies and contain spotlight items, as they were removed after this tour in favor of a Spotlight Shop that was implemented in the following tour. In addition to the removal of ruby pipes, this was the last tour where the spotlight items from the first and second week were raised to a higher shelf on the second and third course of every cup, respectively, restricting shelf boosts after this tour to driver cups and the first course in a cup for Mii Racing Suits and commemorative items. This was also the last tour to have only twelve cups since the next tour has fifteen.

This tour's Coin Rush course was Tokyo Blur. The menu's background featured the Sydney Harbour Bridge as the landmark for this tour, which was reused from the April–May 2021 and September 2021 Sydney Tours.

Despite the tenth set of Expert Challenges ending in the last tour, the eleventh set was not made available at the start of this tour and was instead made available at the start of the Battle Tour.

Starting from this tour, the Platinum Taxi and Clanky Kart are available in regular tour pipes, including the All-Clear Pipe.

Kansas returns to Pittsburgh for 50th anniversary tour

C lassic rock band Kansas is adding a third and final leg to their 50th anniversary tour and will stop in Pittsburgh for a second time.

The “Another Fork in the Road” tour comes to the Benedum Center on Dec. 11. The June 2023 show at the Benedum sold out.

“This tour has already been incredibly special for the band. The 50th Anniversary Tour started in 2023 which commemorates KANSAS’s first year as a band. It is continuing in 2024 which commemorates the release of the first KANSAS album,” said Kansas guitarist and original member Richard Williams. “There are so many places in the U.S. where we haven’t been able to play yet, Topeka and Wichita just to name two, we knew we would have to add a third and final leg to the tour. After such a successful and sold-out premiere of the tour at the Benedum Center (in) Pittsburgh...we wanted to put an exclamation point on the tour by having the closing 50th Anniversary Tour concert take place at the Benedum Center this December.”

We found that the print looked best when it was framed and seen from a bit of a distance. "When you step back, you get a sense of the delicate design ," our tester shared. "Up close and unframed, the paper seems a little cheap." Granted—it would be more expensive—but we would have liked to have seen letterpress or hand-drawn version versus a printed text.

The album is also a bit pricey. But given the heavy card stock interior and high-quality cover , we can definitely see where the value comes from.

Overall, the extra white space and smooth pages would make for a great gift as a wedding guest book for close friends or family. Adding in engagement photos and have guests sign it with sweet notes at the wedding might also be a great idea for this gift.

1st Anniversary Tour

The 1st Anniversary Tour was the twenty-eighth tour of Mario Kart Tour , which began on October 7, 2020, and ended on October 20, 2020. It celebrated the first anniversary since Mario Kart Tour 's release on September 25, 2019, and saw the return of four previous city courses ( Tokyo Blur , Paris Promenade , London Loop , and Vancouver Velocity ) while also introducing New York Minute 3 , which all make up half of the tour's courses. Log-in bonuses were extended from 10 days to all 14 days of the tour, as was the event tokens event. Anniversary Challenges were also added alongside the standard Tour Challenges and granted the player rubies as rewards for completing each of them. Additionally, the number of free pipes for this tour was increased from 4 to 6. The menu's background featured the Empire State Building as the landmark for this tour, which was reused from the 2019 Holiday Tour . This tour's trailer featured city skylines during its opening splash screen.

This was the third tour in a row where the Mario Cup was a ranked cup, being in the second week.

Despite celebrating the game's first anniversary, the actual one-year anniversary fell in the previous tour, the 2020 Los Angeles Tour . Instead, the tour was announced on the day in question, three days after the 2020 Los Angeles Tour began, making this tour's announcement date one of the closest ones to its previous tour's starting date, though no information besides its name was given until the day the tour would have normally been announced. This was the first tour to feature a special pipe that reused a theme and name from a previous tour (the Gold Pipe from the Cooking Tour ). It was also the first tour to feature 35 unique courses, including variants (the only recurring track was New York Minute 3R/T); due to this, it had fewer base courses compared to previous tours, with 10.

During the 1st Anniversary Tour, the amounts of the various items were changed for 1st Anniversary Pipes 1 and 2 because of Five spotlight drivers and no spotlight karts or gliders in each of these pipes.
