Today, acclaimed rock band  Red Hot Chili Peppers  announced their  2023 Tour , in support of their two #1 studio albums that were released in 2022,  Unlimited Love  and  Return of the Dream Canteen.  Following a recent Grammy nomination for Best Rock Song for “Black Summer,” the band will embark on a 23-date global trek that kicks off on Wednesday, March 29th at BC Place in Vancouver, BC with stadium shows and festival stops across North America and Europe in Las Vegas, San Diego, Houston, Lisbon, Madrid, Vienna and more before wrapping up on Saturday, July 23rd in Glasgow, UK at Hampden Park. The Strokes, Iggy Pop, The Roots, The Mars Volta, St. Vincent, City and Colour, Thundercat, and King Princess will join the band on select dates.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers 2023 Tour comes close on the heels of the band’s largest 40-date stadium tour to date, which included massive sold-out shows in London, Paris, Los Angeles, and more. Notable artists such as A$AP Rocky, Anderson .Paak, Beck, HAIM and more joined the band on the road through 2022. After completing the wildly successful tour across North America and Europe this year, Red Hot Chili Peppers continue into January 2023 with 8 dates across New Zealand and Australia, featuring Post Malone.

TICKETS:  Tickets go on sale starting Friday, December 9th at 10am local time at  redhotchilipeppers.com .

Please note, the Red Hot Chili Peppers show originally scheduled for Summer 2022 in Glasgow, UK will now take place on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Hampden Park Stadium. Existing tickets remain valid, but will be re-issued for the new date. Limited tickets remain and will be available during the general on sale.

As a result of the two album releases this year going #1, Red Hot Chili Peppers notably stand out as the first rock band in 17 years to achieve the feat. Moreover,   Return of the Dream Canteen  bowed at #1 on the  Billboard  Top Album Sales Chart —just like its predecessor  Unlimited Love  did back in April. Both albums were produced by longtime collaborator and creative confidant, Rick Rubin. Plus, it reached #1 in numerous countries around the globe.

The Red Hot Chili Peppers recently took home the prestigious Global Icon Award, and delivered a show stopping performance at the MTV VMAs. Their No. 1 single “Black Summer” also won the award for Best Rock Video. This year, the band also garnered an MTV Europe Music Award nomination for Best Rock and scored three  American Music Awards  nominations for “Favorite Rock Artist,” “Favorite Rock Album” for  Unlimited Love  and “Favorite Rock Single” for “Black Summer.”

NEW YORK (AP) — There’s no rest for the spicy: Fresh off a world tour and two albums this year, Red Hot Chili Peppers are preparing for a set of stadium shows and festival stops across North America and Europe in 2023.

Live Nation said Monday the band’s 23-date global trek kicks off March 29 at BC Place in Vancouver, followed by shows in Las Vegas, San Diego, Houston, Lisbon, Madrid, Vienna and more before wrapping up on July 23 in Glasgow, Scotland.

Joining the band on select dates will be The Strokes, Iggy Pop, The Roots, The Mars Volta, St. Vincent, City and Colour, Thundercat and King Princess. Tickets go on sale starting Dec. 9 at 10 a.m. local time at redhotchilipeppers.com.

The funk-rock band gave us not one but two albums in 2022 — October’s “Return of the Dream Canteen” and April’s “Unlimited Love.” Both spent time at No. 1 of Billboard’s top album sales chart.

The Peppers recently took home the Global Icon Award, at the MTV VMAs and their single “Black Summer″ also won the award for Best Rock Video.

Trade publication Pollstar put the Peppers at No. 4 on its list of most lucrative concert tours in 2022, behind Bad Bunny, Elton John and Lady Gaga, with an average box office gross per city of $5,605,217 and an average ticket price at $134.39.

The band have never been ones for brevity though, and this album is an almighty slog, one where the vibrant new is weighed down with a lot of the same old tricks.

“For all glimpses of bold musical and lyrical steps forward, they remain largely the same band they’ve always been with ‘Return Of The Dream Canteen’ offering an all-you-can-eat buffet that often feels overwhelming.”

Back in October, Red Hot Chili Peppers surprised fans with their new album Return of the Dream Canteen . It was the band’s second all-new LP in less than a year. It followed up Unlimited Love , which saw the band reunite with guitarist John Frusciante for the first time since 2016’s  Stadium Arcadium .

In a statement regarding the new record, the band said, “When all was said and done, our moody love for each other and the magic of music had gifted us with more songs than we knew what to do with. Well we figured it out. 2 double albums released back to back. The second of which is easily as meaningful as the first or should that be reversed.  Return of the Dream Canteen  is everything we are and ever dreamed of being. It’s packed. Made with the blood of our hearts.”

Red Hot Chili Peppers announce show at Darien Lake Amphitheater

Red Hot Chili Peppers ‘Unlimited Love Tour’ stops locally on Friday, July 12, 2024

Live Nation Press Release

Today, acclaimed rock band Red Hot Chili Peppers announced their “Unlimited Love Tour” will extend into 2024 across the U.S. Following massive 2022 and 2023 tour runs, the band shows no sign of slowing down as it announces an upcoming North America tour slated for next year.

Produced by Live Nation, the 2024 run includes a stop at Darien Lake Amphitheater in Darien Center on Friday, July 12. Special Guests Kid Cudi, Ice Cube, Ken Carson, Otoboke Beaver, Seun Kuti & Egypt80, Wand and IRONTOM will be joining the band on select dates throughout the tour.

After wrapping up dates in North America and Europe last year, the band continued its global trek into 2023 with several dates across New Zealand and Australia in January, followed by another run of shows throughout North America, Europe, the U.K., Singapore and Japan earlier this year. Most recently, Red Hot Chili Peppers concluded their sold-out Latin America leg of their 2023 tour with two shows in Buenos Aires.

Tickets will be available starting with a Citi presale beginning Tuesday, Dec. 5. An artist presale will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday, Dec. 6. Additional presales will run Thursday, Dec. 7, ahead of the general on-sale beginning at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 8, at  redhotchilipeppers.com .

Citi is the official card of the Red Hot Chili Peppers 2024 “Unlimited Love Tour.” Citi cardmembers will have access to presale tickets beginning at 10 a.m. Tuesday and continuing until 10 p.m. Thursday, through the Citi Entertainment program. For complete presale details, visit  www.citientertainment.com .

As a result of two album releases last year going No. 1, Red Hot Chili Peppers notably stand out as the first rock band in 17 years to achieve the feat. Moreover, “Return of the Dream Canteen” bowed at No. 1 on the Billboard Top Album Sales Chart – just like its predecessor, “Unlimited Love,” did in April 2022. Both albums were produced by longtime collaborator and creative confidant Rick Rubin.

Last year, Red Hot Chili Peppers took home the prestigious Global Icon Award and delivered a showstopping performance at the MTV VMAs. Their No. 1 single, “Black Summer,'' also won the award for Best Rock Video. In addition, "Black Summer" scored a Grammy nomination for "Best Rock Song" and the band garnered an MTV Europe Music Award nomination for Best Rock and earned three American Music Awards nominations for "Favorite Rock Artist," "Favorite Rock Album" for “Unlimited Love” and "Favorite Rock Single" for "Black Summer."

Red Hot Chili Peppers 2024 setlist: Every song they played at Innings Festival in Tempe

red hot chili peppers tour 2023 kritik

Red Hot Chili Peppers brought opening day of Innings Festival to a crowd-pleasing finish at Tempe Beach Park with a suitably funky performance of “Give It Away,” the lead single that fired the opening shot of the mainstream invasion they staged with the seven-times-platinum triumph of “Blood Sugar Sex Magik.”

It was one of several songs they played in Friday’s set that topped the charts at alternative radio, from “Soul to Squeeze” and “Scar Tissue” to “Californication,” “By the Way,” “Can’t Stop” and “Snow ((Hey Oh)).”

And that still left plenty of time for lengthy instrumental jams and a handful of highlights from the pair of albums they released in 2022, “Unlimited Love” and “Return of the Dream Canteen.”
