As a passionate football fan, I always find visiting Lambeau Field an unforgettable experience. Home to the legendary Green Bay Packers, Lambeau Field holds a special place in the heart of many football fans, including mine. Opened in 1957, it is the oldest continuously operated stadium in the NFL, making it a historic site to explore.

One of the key factors that contribute to a smooth visit to the stadium is knowing the available entrances and gates. Lambeau Field has several gates for entry, each catering to different ticket types and areas within the stadium. To help you find your way through Lambeau Field, I’ve put together a list of some of the most popular entrance gates.

  • The Bellin Health Gate Entry is dedicated to premium seating and suites. If you have VIP tickets or are planning to watch the game from an exclusive suite, this gate will lead to your luxurious match experience.
  • The Miller Lite Gate Entry is one of the public gates which you can use if you hold standard tickets. It provides access to various seating sections across the stadium.
  • The American Family Insurance Gate Entry is another public gate available for fans coming to cheer on their favorite team. Feel free to use this entry point if you hold general tickets.
  • The Oneida Nation Gate Entry and Fleet Farm Gate Entry are additional public gates that you can use to enter the stadium. These entrances, along with the Miller Lite and American Family Insurance gates, ensure that no matter where your seats are, you’ll have a convenient access point.

Remember to pay attention to safety guidelines and instructions during your visit to Lambeau Field. Police officers are stationed at each gate to ensure everyone’s safety. Be prepared to have yourself and your belongings searched before entering the stadium, as this is a standard security measure in place for all fans.

Visiting Lambeau Field is an amazing experience, and being aware of the various entrance gates will ensure that you can navigate the stadium with ease. I hope this information helps you enjoy your time at the historic Lambeau Field. Let’s go Packers!

Beginning Years

My favorite place to watch a football game is Lambeau Field, home of the Green Bay Packers. This historic stadium was built in 1957 and was originally named City Stadium. At that time, it replaced the original City Stadium at Green Bay East High School as the Packers’ home field.

In its initial years, Lambeau Field primarily had grass surfaces, and the Packers played there from 1921 to 2023. The name was changed to Lambeau Field in 1965, in honor of the team’s founder and first head coach, Earl “Curly” Lambeau.

Recent Developments

Over the years, Lambeau Field has seen several renovations and expansions, allowing it to remain a premier destination for football fans. For me, there’s just something special about attending a game at a venue with such a storied history. And with eight entrance gates, it’s easy to access the stadium, although the Lambeau Field Bellin Health Gate is reserved for VIP and Premium Ticket holders only.

As you can see, Lambeau Field holds a significant place in NFL history, and I appreciate the opportunity to watch football games in such a legendary venue.

I recently visited Lambeau Field, and getting there was quite straightforward. If you’re planning to visit, let me share some tips on how to reach the stadium with ease.

Coming from the south on Interstate 43 : I took I-43 north to Highway 172 west. Then, I traveled 172 for approximately 6 miles until I reached the Oneida Street/Ashland Avenue exit. After taking that exit, I headed south on Oneida Street, which led me right to Lambeau Field.

Another option for you is to use public transportation . I noticed that Green Bay Metro offers a Packers game day bus service, known as the “Lambeau Leap,” to and from various locations throughout Green Bay. This convenient service can save you time and parking fees.

When it comes to parking , I recommend arriving early to secure a spot in one of the official Lambeau Field parking lots. There are also private lots and residential areas nearby where homeowners offer parking for a fee.

Once you arrive at the stadium, you’ll find eight entrance gates . However, keep in mind that the Lambeau Field Bellin Health Gate is reserved for VIP and Premium Ticket holders only. To access the Atrium before the stadium seating areas open (two hours prior to kickoff), I entered through the American Family Insurance Gate on the east side of the stadium.

I hope these tips help you navigate your way to Lambeau Field with ease. Enjoy your visit!

Ticketing and Security

When I arrive at Lambeau Field for a Green Bay Packers game, I have several entrance gates to choose from. However, I should be aware that the Lambeau Field Bellin Health Gate is reserved for VIP and Premium Ticket holders only. Before entering the stadium, my ticket will be scanned at one of the new pedestal-style ticket scanners at the gates.

Security checks are an essential part of the entrance process, so I should be prepared to go through metal detectors and bag checks. For a smooth entry, I can follow Lambeau Field’s clear bag policy, which allows for the following types of bags:

  • Clear plastic or vinyl bag that does not exceed 12″x6″x12″
  • One-gallon clear plastic freezer bag
  • Small clutch bag approximately the size of a hand, with or without a handle or strap

Disability Access

Lambeau Field is committed to providing accessibility for all guests, including those with disabilities. I can find designated ADA parking spaces in Lot 1 on the east side of the stadium. Additionally, the stadium offers an ADA drop-off/pick-up area located off of Lombardi Avenue in front of the Bellin Health Titletown Orthopedics and Sports Medicine building. This area is accessible before and after the game for quick drop-offs and pick-ups.

There are reserved seating options for guests with disabilities, as well as their companions. To access these seats, I can use dedicated ADA entrances located throughout the stadium, ensuring an easy and convenient entry and exit process.

For guests who require additional assistance, Lambeau Field provides Assistive Listening Devices (ALDs) at the Guest Services desk. These devices amplify the stadium’s audio feed, enhancing the game day experience for those with hearing impairments.

By following this entrance guide, I can ensure a smooth and enjoyable game day experience at Lambeau Field, home of the Green Bay Packers.

Gate Locations

I’ve gathered some details about the main gates and entrances of Lambeau Field. There are several gates which are as follows:

  • Miller Lite Gate : This gate is a popular entrance and can be found on the stadium map.
  • American Family Insurance Gate : Located on the east side of the stadium, this entrance is the main access point for the Atrium before seating areas open.
  • Oneida Nation Gate : Another entrance to the stadium which can be identified by its unique name.
  • South Gate : This gate is dedicated to fans with seats in the South End.
  • Fleet Farm Gate : Another public gate for entering the stadium.

Gate Opening Times

As for when the gates open, the stadium seating areas become accessible two hours prior to kickoff. However, if you’re looking to access the Atrium before the seating areas open, you should enter through the American Family Insurance Gate.

Available Facilities

Lambeau Field offers a variety of entrances and gates for fans’ convenience. Some of the main entrances include:

  • Bellin Health Gate Entry
  • Miller Lite Gate Entry
  • American Family Insurance Gate Entry
  • Oneida Nation Gate Entry
  • South Gate Entry
  • Fleet Farm Gate Entry
  • Associated Bank Gate Entry

As you make your way around Lambeau Field on game day, you’ll find police officers stationed at each entrance gate to ensure your safety. Remember that you and your belongings may be searched upon entry into the stadium.

Parking options are available in the vicinity of the stadium, with prices typically ranging from $20 to $35. You may also find some limited free street parking in the residential areas surrounding the stadium. For guests with disabilities, there is a $50 cashless parking option available in Lot 4 off Lombardi Avenue and Lot 7 off Valley View Road.

Food and Beverage Options

Attending a game at Lambeau Field wouldn’t be complete without indulging in some delicious stadium fare. While I don’t have a complete list of all food and drink options, I can tell you that there are various restaurants and concession stands available in and around the stadium. Make sure to explore the area and satisfy your game day cravings while rooting for the Green Bay Packers!

As I visit Lambeau Field, I find that my safety and security is of utmost importance to the team managing the stadium. There are police officers stationed at each entrance gate, ensuring everyone’s safety while visiting this amazing football field. They also make sure that if needed, my belongings and I may be searched upon entry to maintain a secure environment inside the stadium.

Lambeau Field has a strict no weapons policy , which means carrying firearms or any other weapons on the property, including the parking lot, is strictly prohibited. This ensures that every visitor feels safe and comfortable attending events at the stadium.

Another important aspect is the carry-in policy :

  • Diaper bags and binocular cases are allowed inside the stadium
  • Hoverboards and any items deemed inappropriate, hazardous, or unsafe by venue personnel will not be permitted

Just remember, these guidelines are in place to ensure everyone can enjoy their time at Lambeau Field without worrying about potential dangers. So, let’s embrace them and have a great experience at one of the best stadiums in the country!

I have gathered some tips and tricks for you to have a fantastic time at Lambeau Field, home of the Green Bay Packers. These suggestions should help you navigate the stadium and enjoy your game-day experience to the fullest.

First and foremost, I advise you to pre-purchase parking passes if you plan on driving to the stadium. This can save you time and avoid the inconvenience of buying passes at the stadium. Check out the availability and prices of parking passes and tickets at Vivid Seats here .

When it comes to gate entrances, Lambeau Field has eight gates for fans to enter. However, remember that the Lambeau Field Bellin Health Gate is reserved exclusively for VIP and Premium Ticket holders. It’s helpful to know which gate you’ll be using before arriving at the stadium to minimize confusion.

In case you need cash during the game, ATMs can be found in several locations throughout the stadium. Some of these spots include the American Family Gate lobby, the Atrium floor, and the 3rd floor east concourse inside the US Cellular Loft.

While you’re at Lambeau Field, be sure to explore the various amenities and attractions inside the stadium. The Lambeau Field Atrium hosts the Packers Pro Shop, Packers Hall of Fame, and Curly’s Pub, among other dining, event, and retail options. You might find some unique souvenirs and enjoy delicious food to make your visit even more memorable.

Lastly, I recommend dressing warmly if you’re attending a game during the colder months. Layering up will help you stay comfortable while cheering on the Packers in their iconic frozen tundra.

I hope you find these tips helpful for your visit to Lambeau Field. Enjoy the game and go Packers!

Well, friends, I hope that this guide has provided you with all the essential information you need to navigate Lambeau Field with ease. As a die-hard Green Bay Packers fan, I understand the importance of game day, and I want to make sure that everyone has the best possible experience while attending a game at Lambeau Field.

Remember, it’s crucial to arrive early at the stadium to avoid slow entry times due to mobile ticket usage. Make sure to familiarize yourself with the various entrance gates such as the Miller Lite Gate, American Family Insurance Gate, Oneida Nation Gate, South Gate, and Fleet Farm Gate. This way, you’ll be able to pinpoint your gate quickly and efficiently.

Lambeau Field Tours: What to Expect

Lambeau Field atrium at night

Before Your Tour: Check Out the Lambeau Field Atrium

This is the main entrance to the stadium and where you’ll find a giant 50-foot Lombardi Trophy replica on display. They say that the massive trophy is the largest structure ever chromed. As you ride the escalator up to the tour ticket booth, you’ll appreciate how big it is!

It’s visible inside and outside the atrium and lit up at night. In addition, many Vince Lombardi quotes and photographs are on display throughout the atrium.

Tour Add-on Option: Green Bay Packers Hall of Fame

Hall of Fame sign

Visiting the Packers Hall of Fame can be an add-on to your Lambeau Field tour at a combo price. I recommend doing this before your stadium tour when you’re fresh. It’s a great way to “kick-off” the day.

There are two levels of exhibits with nine permanent galleries. As a non-football person, I was surprised at how much I enjoyed it. I spent a good amount of time taking in captivating visual displays, interactive exhibits, and photo ops.

Behind the Scenes of the Classic Lambeau Field Tour

Everyone cheered as our tour guide said, “Welcome to Lambeau Field, home of the 13-time world champion Green Bay Packers!” And with that, we were off on our whirlwind one-hour Lambeau stadium tour. (Over 1.7 million visitors have taken Lambeau field tours so far.)

You’ll see a 50-yard line on the floor if you look down. And, if you followed it through the wall, you’d see it lines up perfectly with the 50-yard line of Lambeau Field.

50 yard line Lambeau

After hearing about some of the team’s history, we went upstairs to see the premium suites. There are 136 suites on three levels.

Check out the art along the way—hundreds of paintings and photos depict Packers history. My favorite was the painting of the famous Ice Bowl—the coldest game in the history of the NFL.

painting of Ice Bowl

Another tour highlight was hearing about the Packers training camp bike tradition. Kids line up with their bikes to offer the players a ride, and when the players come out of the locker room, they choose someone and ride their bike to practice that day. So heartwarming!

bike display Lambeau

The view from the suite was extraordinary. It’s the largest suite they have—it accommodates 48 people. An identical one for Packer alums is one level below. (A standard suite accommodates 16-20 people.)

The original home of the Packers was an open playing field at Hagemeister Park. Then, they moved to Bellevue Park for four years and then to City Stadium at Green Bay East High School. High school games were Friday nights, and the Packers played on Sundays.

Eventually, the current stadium was built with 32,000 seats. There have been nine additions since then, and Lambeau Field is currently the third-largest NFL stadium with 81,441 seats.

They have sold out every game since 1960, and 147,000 people are on the season ticket waitlist. It’s the norm for people to sign up their newborns at birth, and those babies are in their 30s before their numbers come up!

Lambeau field view from box

Fun Fact about Snow Removal: A call goes out on through the news and social media asking for help shoveling snow at Lambeau Field. Then around 500 people (first come, first serve) go to the stadium and get paid to shovel snow. They start on the aisle, where a plastic sheet keeps the snow moving down to the bottom. Then, an end loader scoops it into a dump truck and hauls it out of the stadium. Crazy, huh?

While we took in the view, we also learned more about the team’s history, name, incorporation, and all about Curly Lambeau and Vince Lombardi.

man pointing to locker room mural

Next, we went down to the 7,000-square-foot locker room/village, which contains everything the players could need: a weight room, sports medicine office, racquetball court, basketball court, cafeteria, classrooms for every position, etc. We didn’t go inside since it’s an active locker room, but we heard all about it.

walking in tunnel to field

Then we went to the tunnel where the Green Bay Packers enter the stadium. When the players enter, the music is pounding, and projectors show clips of the Packers crushing their opponents of the day. Finally, we walked the tunnel ourselves. We felt the excitement while listening to a recording of the crowd cheering and the announcer introducing the world-champion Green Bay Packers!

Take a look! They embedded a piece of the original tunnel into the current tunnel entrance, in order to preserve its history.

cement from old tunnel

What a thrill to be inside the Packers stadium (whether you’re a football fan or not). It’s a very cool part of sports history!

view of endzone

When we reached the field, we were told not to touch or step on the grass, so be prepared to be near it but not on it.

turf at Lambeau

Learning about the grass was one of the tour’s most fascinating parts. The field is actually a soccer field, not a football field because the natural clay-based soil doesn’t hold up well enough to sustain grass. So, they dug out the clay, replaced it with gravel and sand, and then inserted 7″ synthetic fibers every ¾-inch across the field.

Then they seeded the field with Kentucky Bluegrass, and as it grew, the roots intertwined with the synthetic fibers and have held the turf together beautifully ever since.

fiber embedded in turf at Lambeau

Since natural grass goes dormant in the fall, they use grow lights to simulate sunlight and keep the grass growing into January. The lights turn on when it gets dark and move very slowly across the field. Underneath the ground, tubes filled with antifreeze and warm water keep the roots at a steady 55-degree temperature.

Another fun fact: Lambeau Field’s drainage system can handle 14 inches of rain per hour!

Lambeau Field grow lights

They paint the field two days before the game, using 100 gallons of paint and taking 10 hours to finish the job. If they have back-to-back games, they scrape off the paint, but if not, it comes off when they mow the field every other day.

We had the chance to take our photos in front of the end goal, and then we shouted out the Lambeau cheer as a group and heard it echo across the field. So fun!

Best Seats At Lambeau Field

The best seats at Lambeau Field depend on your budget and preferences, but here are some of the most popular options:

  • Lower Level Sideline Seats: Sections 100-131 offer you the closest vantage point to the field and Packers bench area without breaking the bank. Sections 116-120 at around the 50 yard line are excellent.
  • Atrium and Club Level Seats: For a premium experience, Atrium (200 level) and Club Level (400 level) seats come with access to indoor/heated clubs with expanded food and drinks. Great views down the sidelines.
  • Lower Level End Zone Seats: Lambeau Field’s end zone seating in sections 132-138 and 142-148 places you right behind the Packers offense driving toward your section. Creates a thrilling goal line experience.
  • Upper Level Sideline Seats : Upper sideline seats in sections 301-329 of the 300 level are the highest seats that still offer full views of the field. Better value for getting a midfield spot.
  • The “Nosebleed” Sections: While higher up and not for vertigo sufferers, sections 353-366 of the upper corner “nosebleed seats” make you feel dramatically close to the action.

There is no truly bad seat at Lambeau Field, thanks to good sightlines all around. Prioritizing location, price, or exclusive club access can help narrow down the hundreds of seating options for the optimal experience.

Lambeau Field

By Edward de la Fuente

Our guide to Lambeau Field in Green Bay includes information on events, tickets, parking, public transportation, nearby hotels and restaurants, weather, seating and more. Read on to find out how to get the most out of your gameday experience.

Attending a Green Bay Packers game at Lambeau Field is not so much a sports outing, but a complete, day-long experience. Everything about it — from the atmosphere before the event to the way nearby hotels fill up with fans, and from the often chilly weather to the view from the seating bowl, suggests there’s something different here than from other NFL stadiums.

Indeed, there’s a mystique to attending a game here. Whenever we use that word with a sports venue, it’s usually because there’s a lot of history behind it — and certainly Lambeau Field, which thanks to its location and notorious winter weather gave us the Ice Bowl and helped introduce the term  “frozen tundra”  into the American sports vernacular, would qualify as being historic.

But there’s something else that separates Lambeau from the  Fenways  and  Wrigleys  of the world, and that’s its location.

You see,  Green Bay, Wisconsin , isn’t a town most people would have any other reason to visit if it weren’t for the Packers. It isn’t even a town you would just happen to pass through — if you were driving, say, from Chicago to Minneapolis, you’d still have to drive pretty far out of your way to go to Green Bay.

So most visitors to Lambeau have gone through a fair amount of effort to plan their journeys, and that in itself makes the place rather special. You wouldn’t do that for most run-of-the-mill venues, right?

Besides, it’s fascinating in itself to see what makes Green Bay tick. You’ve heard of cities coming to a stop when their team is playing? Well, Green Bay really does stop everything when the Packers are playing. And when they’re at home, the day is really a celebration of football.

To get a true sense of what we’re talking about, you’ll just have to see Lambeau Field for yourself. Depending on when in the season you go, you might not get the full frozen tundra effect, but you should still get a nice, authentic feel for the atmosphere regardless.

Getting to the stadium

Despite the small-town impression given in the introduction above, don’t mistake Green Bay for a little hamlet of a few hundred people — it is a city in every sense of the world. It is home to more than 100,000 people, and has a city center  and lots of neighborhoods and a network of highways and a  bus system  just like a lot of cities.

It’s just a small town in terms of what you think would be capable of hosting a major sports franchise.

In truth, the Packers are Wisconsin’s team, and so on game days folks are streaming into Green Bay from all over the state. Depending on where you are coming from, you can run into walls of traffic on the approach into town.

Green Bay does have an airport —  Austin Straubel Airport on the west side of town, about five miles from Lambeau — that services regional destinations such as Chicago, Minneapolis and Detroit. But visitors will likely find it much more plausible logistically to drive in from a larger city. Milwaukee is your best bet, with Minneapolis and Chicago not far behind.

If you are looking to avoid the hassle of driving and/or parking on game day, there are options.

For one, you can take advantage of Green Bay Metro, which runs four free bus routes , all with delightfully corny names, to the stadium (and from it after the game) to different points around town. There are several options for park-and-ride using this service, but it helps to have a little knowledge of Green Bay’s layout.

You can also arrive in Green Bay in advance and staying in a hotel near Lambeau Field, of which there are plenty. But as you can imagine, reservations are snapped up quickly for nights coinciding with Packers games at Lambeau Field — and often at a markup — so it’s best to make hotel reservations as early as possible.

Parking at Lambeau Field

Once you’ve made it into town, you’ve gotta figure out where to park, and there are quite a few options. The Lambeau Field parking lots themselves are reserved for season-ticket holders, so first, there are public lots — mostly the lots of shopping centers, hotels, gas stations and the like — that typically start around $20 and go up the closer you get to the stadium.

Then there are private driveways and lawns, of which there are many to choose from even within a few blocks of the stadium and offer different privileges such as tailgating, bathrooms or free bottles of water.

If you get there early enough, you can also find parking on neighborhood streets for free, but you have to pick the right neighborhoods and streets — a tall task if you’ve never spent any time in Green Bay. If you’re unfamiliar with the area, you might find it worth the price to stick to official parking lots with Lambeau Field within sight.

Map of the surrounding area

Things to do around the stadium

You really owe it to yourself to walk around and experience the scene outside the stadium before the game, because it really is unlike any other in the NFL. It’s made up mostly of tailgaters just like any football game anywhere else, yes, but it’s where they do it that sets Green Bay apart.

Remember, this is not some huge urban area that we’re talking about. There are houses as close to Lambeau as across the street, and these houses take advantage by hosting private tailgates, or opening their houses to guests for tailgating.

If you’ve ever had a block party that involved grilling, drinking beer and playing football in the street, take that and multiply it by about 10,000, and you’ll have a sense of the scene around Lambeau Field — and weather does little to dampen the party vibe.

It may sound like a sappy exaggeration, but it is very much as ideal a celebration of American football as there is to experience. Nearly every house within a half-mile radius is its own tailgate destination, with some parties more elaborate than others, while the Lambeau parking lot is full of tricked-out vehicles, grills going at full blast and well-stocked beer coolers.

The Packers have enhanced the gameday environment around Lambeau by creating their own development. Called the Titletown District , it sits across Ridge Road from Lambeau Field and provides acres of open space for gameday activities as well as shopping, hotels and residences, and even an ice skating rink and tubing hill.

You can also just walk around and soak up the atmosphere. Just along Lombardi Avenue, you can look at the stadium — the front of the Atrium, with statues of Curly Lambeau and Vince Lombardi nearby, seem like a natural gathering/meeting place for a lot of fans — and you can also make your own “Lambeau Leap” into a statue of fans.

You can also view the epic parties across the street, one of which had a huge replica Lombardi Trophy in the lawn on the day that we visited.

Watching a game at Lambeau Field

Lambeau Field has eight gates on all sides of the stadium, including two at the atrium. Like most NFL stadiums, lines can get long as kickoff aproaches, especially as ushers check bags. For more on what you can bring into the stadium, check out our post on the Lambeau Field bag policy .

If you enter the stadium through the Lambeau Field Atrium, you sort of expect to be greeted by the historic aura right away. But the Atrium was built as part of the early 2000s renovation and feels just as modern as you would expect, with loads of concession stands, a restaurant called Curly’s Pub, a  team store  that is a lot bigger than it looks from the outside, the  team Hall of Fame and much, much more.

Plus it’s sheltered and heated, a nice bonus on days with bad weather (the Atrium is also where you’d go if you were to take a tour of Lambeau Field).

Really, the Atrium is the natural starting point for your exploration of Lambeau Field, particularly if you’ve arrived early and don’t mind standing in line, because lines form very quickly for entrance to both the team store and the Hall of Fame.

It’s out in the seating bowl that you’ll be hit with the Lambeau Field historic vibe, but not as much as you might expect — and not just because of the weather. The big reminder that Lambeau Field is an old stadium is when you park your butt down on the cold metal bleacher seating.

Otherwise, Lambeau Field’s many renovations have really spruced up the joint into something nice, particularly the most recent one before the 2013 season that added several decks of seating behind the south end zone, much of which have some protection from the weather.

There are large videoboards behind both end zones and a ring of suites surrounding three-fourths of the stadium. Sight lines at Lambeau Field are terrific, and we had no problem seeing the action from our seating area — we were 25 rows up, along one of the goal lines in section 111.

The videoboards, plus two small scoreboards at the top of the stadium along the 50-yard line, make it easy to keep track of the score. Really, Lambeau Field felt like the ideal football viewing experience save for the metal bleachers — kind of like watching a high school game but with seating for 80,000 people around.

Food and drink at Lambeau Field

Lambeau Field’s concessions are basically filled with Wisconsin’s greatest hits — especially bratwurst, which you can get several different ways. Fried cheese curds, cheesy fries, and mac and cheese are all on the menu as well. As you can imagine, cheese is very prevalent at the concession stands.

You can also find more adventurous items like elk stroganoff, beef sticks, fish fries and rotisserie chicken.

Lambeau Field’s beer selection, while pricey even by NFL stadium standards, is heavy on Wisconsin brands like Leinenkugel’s, as well as regional breweries like Hinterland, Badger State Brewing and Door County Brewing.

Scott has notched four straight top-20 finishes on TOUR dating back to last year. This will be his 13th start at Bay Hill with a career-best showing of third place, both in 2004 and 2014. That’s a promising pattern for this week … 2018 PLAYERS champion Webb Simpson rounds out the sponsor invites given to TOUR pros. Simpson finished 24th at the Arnold Palmer Invitational last season – his first start in Orlando since 2017.

David Ford , a junior at the University of North Carolina, earned his way into the field thanks to winning a vote of his peers at the 2023 Palmer Cup. Ford, the 2023 Atlantic Coast Conference Player of the Year and a first-team All-American was part of the winning USA team at the Palmer Cup. Beginning in 2017, the winning team has voted for one individual to receive an exemption into the Arnold Palmer Invitational – with Åberg and Collin Morikawa among the previous winners. This will be Ford’s third PGA TOUR start. Ford, who is third in the World Amateur Golf Ranking, played The RSM Classic in November alongside his twin brother, Maxwell.

SIGNATURE EVENT STORYLINES: With his first PGA TOUR victory, Eckroat earned his way into the Arnold Palmer Invitational (along with the remaining four Signature Events this season) … Mark Hubbard and Thomas Detry were bumped from the Aon Next 10 after the Cognizant Classic, with Eckroat making a hearty jump after his win. Erik van Rooyen also slid in with a tie for second at PGA National … Min Woo Lee , who finished second alongside van Rooyen, jumped into the second spot on the Aon Swing 5 to earn a spot at Bay Hill … The others in the Aon Swing 5 remained unchanged week-over-week with Sami Valimaki, C.T. Pan, Stephan Jaeger and Justin Lower rounding out that group … The Arnold Palmer Invitational will be the fourth Signature Event of the season … The next Signature Event on the PGA TOUR schedule is the RBC Heritage in mid-April. The Aon Swing 5 standings for Harbour Town start with the Puerto Rico Open and continue through the Valspar Championship, Texas Children’s Houston Open and Valero Texas Open … The Aon Next 10 for the RBC Heritage is comprised of the current-year FedExCup standings through the Masters Tournament.

COMCAST BUSINESS TOUR TOP 10 UPDATES: With his tie for fourth at the Cognizant Classic, Jake Knapp jumped from No. 8 to No. 5 in the standings … Chris Kirk also jumped one spot in the standings from No. 4 to No. 3 after a final-round, 6-under 65 at PGA National … Cognizant Classic winner Austin Eckroat jumped 78 spots in the standings to No. 17, about 50 points back from a spot in the TOUR TOP 10.

FEDEXCUP: Winner receives 700 FedExCup points.

COURSE: Arnold Palmer’s Bay Hill Club & Lodge, par 72, 7,466 yards. Bay Hill will once again host the Arnold Palmer Invitational, as it has every year since 1979. It’s a mostly flat layout but features water challenges on most holes and demands a high level of ball-striking to score well. A shotmaker’s delight, Bay Hill is as testy as any PGA TOUR venue across the last half decade, with single-digit under-par winning scores in three of the last four seasons.

72-HOLE RECORD: 264, Payne Stewart (1987)

18-HOLE RECORD: 62, Andy Bean (Round 2, 1981), Greg Norman (Round 2, 1984), Adam Scott (Round 1, 2014).

LAST TIME: Kurt Kitayama let a star-studded cast of chasers back into the mix after making a triple bogey on the par-4 ninth Sunday, but a clutch birdie on the penultimate hole of the tournament followed by a nifty lag putt from 47 feet (to tap-in range) secured his first PGA TOUR title. Kitayama put together a virtuoso statistical effort – he ranked T1 in driving accuracy, T1 in greens in regulation and No. 3 in Strokes Gained: Putting. Kitayama shot back-to-back even-par 72s at Bay Hill over the weekend, weathering Sunday’s triple bogey with steady back-nine play to hold off an impressive pack including Rory McIlroy and Harris English, who shared second place one shot back. Patrick Cantlay, Jordan Spieth and Scottie Scheffler finished a shot further back at 7-under and tied for fourth. Scheffler was looking to go back-to-back at Bay Hill but shot a 1-over 73 in the final round.
