As above, if you have time get off at the castle, see the views, the cathedral sis amazing with great shopping and bars inside the walls. Interesting history so worth a listen to the tour info on the headphones. Beautifil historic city. Nice buildings.

We only used the bus once, on our last day in Palma, as a way of seeing more of the city than we had up to that point. So no real hopping off as such but it was an interesting tour.

00.00 – Depart for the Castle of Bellver.

00.20 – Arrive at the Castle of Bellver

01:00 – Depart for “la escollera”.

01:20 – Arrive at “la escollera”, walk to the Cathedral.

01:40 – Arrive at the Cathedral, guided tour of the Cathedral.

02:30 – Guided tour of the historic city centre, 15 minutes free time, shopping, etc.

03:30 – Walk to “la escollera”

03:40 – Return to your ship or hotel.

04:00 – Arrive at your ship or hotel.

Palma city tour

Depart the port for the Castle of Bellver along the Paseo Maritimo, on the left you can see hotels and restaurants, whilst on the right are the luxury yachts. Arrive at the Castle of Bellver.  The Castle is the only round castle in Spain;  the castle is 112 metres above sea level. Your guide will explain the castle’s history from outside and you can take photos whilst enjoying the magnificent view of Palma, then we will depart to the bull ring and pearl factory, we then continue on to the Cathedral. Palma’s Cathedral is the second largest Gothic cathedral in Spain and was built in the year 1230. You will have a guided tour of the Cathedral followed by a guided tour of the Gothic district of the city.  Return to your ship or hotel.

Palma city tour Advice: You should wear comfortable shoes because there are more than 70 steps to climb and you will walk between 1 – 1.5 km.

The times are programmed with a margin of at least 15 minutes of the ship’s arrival time. You do not need to worry if the ship is delayed as we will be waiting for you and any other passengers who are arriving on the same cruise ship.

Train to Soller  

Ever since 1912 the Sóller railway has been running a daily train service along the 27.3 km route between Palma de Mallorca and Sóller, without interruption. From 1913 it has also run the tram service along the 4.9 kilometres from Sóller and the Port of Sóller.
