We did the VIP afternoon wine tour with food pairing. Amazing experience and our driver Mary was friendly and made the experience even more enjoyable. We visited four wineries with the first one having a food pairing with the wine flight. Don't plan on this specific tour being your lunch as it not designes for a meal bit just small samples that are perfect to compliment a wine tasting. It was a super clean and comfortable vehicle and Mary made us laugh and feel even more relaxed. She also had bottled water for us which was nice to help stay hydrated. The Winery Guys are really good with fast communication and booking was super easy. This was a perfect afternoon outing and made our trip to Niagara-on-the-Lake so much more enjoyable! Highly recommended and we will be doing this again on our next journey back.

Our driver Guy was awesome! We stopped for lunch at recommended Bricks and Barley restaurant which was great! Bus/van was clean and comfortable with 8 guests on a 100 degree day! Highly recommend!

This was a great tour! It was our first group tour and an amazing day to end our trip to Niagara! Melanie was a wonderful guide and I highly recommended booking with her.

These reviews are tough because a lot of it has to do with factors that can't always be controlled. But in my experience we had a GREAT time. Our "winery guy" was Mike. He was great. From start to finish he was informative, helpful, polite and easy to talk to. We went on the afternoon tour a Wednesday in November. My sister and I were the only two people on the tour - so it was like a private tour! We went to Oast, Knonzlemann (had a tour and charcuterie), Hare and Lakeview. Every single person we interacted with was awesome. We never felt rushed and we were treated wonderfully by everyone. Because it's a slowly time of year for them we were often the only people at each brewery/winery which I think also afforded us some extra samples and attention. It's like we were all just friends hanging out. Well worth the money to not have to drive! Would definitely recommend or use Winery Guys upon my next trip to NOTL.

The Par 3 Contest at the Masters has been a Wednesday tradition dating back to 1960 with the inaugural competition won by Sam Snead. Tournament participants as well as all past champions are invited to play the nine-hole course designed by George Cobb and Cliff Roberts which is set around DeSoto Springs Pond and Ike's Pond. In the tournament's history, there have been 107 holes-in-one made, including a record nine in 2016. Five holes-in-one were made in 2023, including two by Seamus Power (Nos. 8 and 9). No Par 3 Contest winner has won the Masters the same year as his short-course victory.

Wooden Shoe Tulip Festival opens for 2024 season Friday in Woodburn. Here's what to know

T he Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm's Tulip Festival is opening for the season on Friday. The annual festival takes place in Woodburn and allows folks to walk through several acres of tulips in bloom.

The 2024 season will run March 22 to May 5, with peak bloom predicted to occur the first two weeks of April.

All tickets must be purchased online prior to visiting and are available on the farm's website for either a season pass or day ticket. Children age 12 and under can enter for free if accompanied by a ticketed adult. Adult tickets, ages 13 to 64, are $15 and seniors, 65 and older, are $10. General admission tickets must have a selected time slot and date, and there is no time limit upon entry. Individual season passes are $65 per person, for entry any time after 5 a.m. until an hour after sunset.

Sunrise viewing tickets are also available for $20, for those age 13 and older to come between 5 a.m.-7 a.m. A drone upgrade is also available for this time slot, and people must follow all FAA rules. Sunrise hot air balloon flights will also be offered, usually taking 45 minutes to an hour, and end with a champagne toast. Book flight through the Portland Rose Balloons website.

Weekday offerings include on-site food trucks, carnival rides (not included with admission fees), Wooden Shoe Vineyards tasting room, tulip market, field shop, Red Barn Hemp and tethered hot air balloons rides. Rides and hot air balloon rides are weather dependent.

Weekend admission offers the same amenities and wooden shoe making demonstrations, steam tractor demonstrations, craft market, balloon artist and more children's activities. All but the craft market are weather dependent.

Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm's Tulip Festival tours

• Wine tour: A one-hour guided riding tour through the tulip farm and vineyard with a full wine tasting and snack box. Available on the weekends at 11 a.m., 1 p.m., 3 p.m. For 21+ with valid ID only. ($75 and fees)
• Farm tour: A one-hour guided riding tour through the tulip farm and general farm and meeting founders of Wooden Shoe Tulip Farm, Barb and Karen Iverson. Available Tuesday and Thursday at 11 a.m. and 1 p.m.; Wednesdays at 1 p.m. ($45 and fees)
• Wooden shoe making class: Make a wooden shoe or similar out of wood, taught by Nels Iverson, a second generation family member. Mini wooden shoes is available Wednesdays at 3 p.m. Wooden shoe bolo or neckerchief holder on Thursdays at 3 p.m., and introduction to wooden shoe carving on Fridays at noon. ($75 and fees)
• Tulip-inspired floral design workshop: Access the tulip fields, select your flowers and learn to arrange a bouquet in this evening class, with refreshments provided. This is for beginner and seasoned florists. Class is March 28 at 6:30 p.m., $150 and fees.

We begin our Moscow tour beneath the city, exploring the underground palace of the Moscow Metro. From the Square of Revolution station, famous for its huge statues of soviet people (an armed soldier, a farmer with a rooster, a warrior, and more), we’ll move onto some of the most significant stations, where impressive mosaics, columns, and chandeliers will boggle your eyes! Moreover, these stations reveal a big part of soviet reality — the walls depict plenty of Propaganda , with party leaders looking down from images on the walls. Your local guide will share personal stories of his/her family from USSR times, giving you insight into Russia’s complicated past and present. Then we’re coming back up to street level, where we’ll take a break and refuel with some Russian fast food: traditional pancakes, called bliny. And then, stomachs satiated, we are ready to move forward! We’ll take the eco-friendly electric trolleybus, with a route along the Moscow Garden Ring. Used mainly by Russian babushkas(grannies) during the day, the trolleybus hits peak hours in the mornings and evenings, when many locals use it going to and from their days. Our first stop will be the Aviator’s House, one of Stalin’s Seven Sisters, followed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs — and you’ll hear the legends of what has gone on inside the walls. Throughout your Moscow tour, you’ll learn curious facts from soviet history while seeing how Russia exists now, 25 years after the USSR.

He didn't take shortcuts and really covered everything that was on the agenda in great detail. We saw beautiful metro stations and learned the history behind them, including many of the murals and designs.
