Travel Land RV Center has been in business 35+ years. They do insurance, warranty , & other service jobs, water damage repair, storage, RV sales, and rentals. We began renting in 2018 and we are booming with it. I handle the rentals and really enjoy the customers. We do all of the towing & set up of rentals delivering to various properties and campgrounds around northern Michigan. We've even gone as far as Brooklyn, MI for Faster Horses events. Many of our rentals are returning customers which speaks for itself.

Camping World Holdings has agreed to acquire Travel Land RV Center in Houghton Lake, Michigan.

The acquisition is anticipated to close in the second quarter of 2023 and will increase the company’s number of Michigan stores to seven.

“Travel Land has been proudly serving northern Michigan for over 40 years, primarily through the sale of used RVs and collision repair,” said Marcus Lemonis, CEO and chairman of Camping World. “This acquisition continues our growth strategy by providing additional service and product excellence to our customer base in the region.”

The new location will primarily offer a wide range of new and used Keystone RVs along with service, collision, parts and accessories, as well as the entire portfolio of Good Sam products and services.

The campground is officially OPEN as of this morning, April 15!  And… we already have campers!  Water is on to the store, bathrooms, showers, and laundry.   We do not have someone in the store full time this time of the years, so if you arrive for check-in and no one is there, just call the number on the board and we will answer. 

Water to the individual campsites will not be turned on until the first week in may.  we are looking forward to another great season, houghton lake travel p ark campground is a quiet, friendly, family-oriented  camping park. ,    come up and see us in the “north country”, we have clean newly-renovated bathrooms, hot showers, laundry, playground for kids (including barefoot sand volleyball court), shuffleboard courts, store, coffee shop, hand-dipped hudsonville ice cream, and game room.  the swimming pool is pristine and kept heated at 83 degrees.  ice and firewood are also available., reservation guidelines, -all reservations are taken over the phone or in person. ,           please call 989-422-3931., -you may make reservations up to one year before your camping date.   (for example, if you wish to make a reservation for june 1-7 of 2024, you may call or make the reservation in person anytime starting june 1 of 2023, 8:00 am, but not sooner.)  all people will be treated equally and fairly, with no one being given preferential treatment .   reservations are strictly “first come-first served.”, -for campers wishing to make longer term reservations, you may only reserve two of the three main summer months… june, july, august.  this restriction does not apply to or include april, may, september, or october., “we consider it our mission to promote family activities, to  encourage families to do things together, to build strong and  healthy families.”   , we are also committed to honoring god and his son, our savior, jesus christ, in every aspect of our work.   , colossians 3:23-24 “whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the lord, not for human masters.  it is the lord christ you are serving.”  (niv), to this end, we have worship services in the pavilion every sunday morning all summer, occasional hymn-sings, and strive to be people of faith and have servant hearts in our daily work., we want the park to be a safe and inviting place for all, from small children to older adults.   we will not tolerate rowdy behavior, drunkenness, or loud music in the park. , features of our park include:  large sites, all pull through, water, electric, sewer, wireless internet at sites, cabins, a primitive tenting area, a sparkling clean heated pool, playground, store, and coffee shop with goodies and ice cream  all of this is just down the road from houghton lake, the largest inland lake in michigan.  , on weekend evenings, kids (and those who are kids at heart) can ride the train and get popcorn afterwards., if you are looking for a warm and friendly family park,, you have found it   please join us  🙂, we are a good sam park .  that means… if you are a good sam member, you get 10% off daily camping rates, unless there is a special going on, such as spring and fall discounted rates.  we can sign you up to be a good sam member here at the park.  check in the office, ********************************, read    read    read    read    read, we all need to be fully aware of the contagiousness of covid right now, and must be willing abide by reasonable precautions during the camping season.  thank you.,    the last three years, we were able to successfully work through any problems by social distancing, limiting the number of people at one time in the bathrooms and pool, wearing masks when necessary, etc., i am sure that this year we will again be able to spend quality time together camping.
