In this particular trip, the first part is to Thinnakara and Bangaram. While these islands have Dive Centres and you can enjoy water sports activities, these are more famous for relaxing and island hopping. So, you can hop to Parali 1 and Parali 2 and enjoy turtle watching on the way. In Kavaratti and Kadmat, where you go after in the later days, you can indulge in Water Sport activities. Kavaratti is also the administrative capital of Lakshadweep Islands. So, unlike the previous two islands which are built only for tourism with no villagers, in Kavaratti and Kadmat you will find people – a whole village!

Tour Highlights: An Extended Lakshadweep Vacation Package

Details of lakshadweep tour packages, day 1 bangalore/ kochi to agatti, overnight in thinnakara island.

• Take the flight from Kochi or Bangalore to Agatti
• A car will come to the airport to take you to the jetty, from where you will be taken to Thinnakara Island
• After lunch, take a pleasant evening walk in the Island, which will take less than 2 hours. There are no roads, villages or villagers…just a relaxing walk on the white sand along the edge of the island.
• Don’t miss stargazing at night. You might even be able to spot the Milky Way on a clear night.

Day 2 Turtle Watching and Snorkelling

• After breakfast, enjoy snorkelling at the shipwreck site. Watch the colourful corals and fishes all around. This is one of the best experiences you will have in the island.
• After lunch, go island hopping to the pristine Parali 1 and Parali 2, which are tiny uninhabited island joined by a thin strip of white sand. While returning watch thousands of turtles swim around your boat.
• Overnight Stay in Thinnakara.

Day 3 Visit to Bangaram Island

• Today you can try snorkelling in the area between Bangaram and Thinnakara Island. You can carry some food for the fishes so that they come near you! You can also go for scuba diving in the reputed PADI Certified Dive Centres of Lakshadweep.
• After lunch, you can visit Bangaram Island which serves as an ideal place to just get a good sunset view and laze around. Walk towards the helipad area to enjoy a vast stretch of white sand amidst turquoise green clear water. You can also try water scooter and canoeing in the placid and picturesque lagoons surrounding the island.
• Overnight stay in Thinnakara

Day 4 Towards Kadmat

• Today after breakfast, sail to a different island –  Kadmat.  The Island has AC Beach Resorts.
• Once you reach the island, you can either relax on the beach resort or walk around the place. Unlike Thinnakara and Bangaram, Kadmat island is inhabited by villagers.

Day 5 Enjoy in the islands

• In Kadmat you can indulge in diving and other water sport activities. Kadmat is a very scenic island. If you are in Kadmat, you should not miss the stunning sunset from the Beach Resort

Day 6 Towards Kavaratti and Enjoy Water Sports Activities

• After breakfast move to Kavaratti. The administrative capital of Lakshadweep.
• In Kavaratti you can indulge in diving and other water sport activities like lagoon fishing, banana boat ride, speed boating, snorkeling, rowing, kayaking, glass boat ride for non swimmers.

Lakshadweep’s population constituted 0.01 per cent of India’s total population in 2011, the same percentage recorded in 2001.

How to Reach Lakshadweep from Delhi, Mumbai, Kochi and other cities?

Two main options are available to you if you are interested in visiting the mesmerising Lakshadweep islands:

• There are flights available from Kochi to the Lakshadweep islands. Currently, there is only one airstrip on the island of Agatti.
• Flights are operated by Air India between Kochi and the islands of Agatti and Bangaram.
• In the case of a flight from Cochin to Agatti, the duration is approximately one hour and thirty minutes.
• During the fair season (October to May), there are boats available from Agatti to Kavaratti and Kadmat.
• When the monsoon season is in full swing, helicopter transfers from Agatti to Kavaratti are available subject to helicopter availability.
• As of now, seven passenger ships are operating between Cochin and Lakshadweep islands, including the MV Kavaratti, MV Arabian Sea, MV Lakshadweep Sea, MV Lagoon, MV Corals, MV Amindivi, and MV Minicoy.
• Depending on the island that you decide to travel to, the journey duration can range from 14 to 18 hours.
