Discovery Cove Questions & Answers

Hi I normally book through a travel agent but have found if I book directly with discovery cove we safe a lot of money so I was wondering how we get our tickets if they post them to us or if we print them out near the time we are going thanks

Greetings from Discovery Cove-

As we are reservation based park there are not actual tickets for entry. After completing your order via our website or our reservation center you will be immediately sent an email confirmation with a summary of your order. This email will also include "E tickets" for SeaWorld and Aquatica in the event you visit the other parks prior to your Discovery Cove day. If you are not going to visit prior to your day here there will be no need to print them since your DC badge will then gain you entry to our sister parks.

Just print off your order confirmation . It has a barcode which is read at the gate entry. Direct booking is so much better

You actually pay no more money using a travel agent than if you booked direct.

Travel agent fees are built into a quote wether you use them or not. Same with Disney, Universal Studios, cruise lines, All-inclusives etc…

So, might I suggest booking through an agent? Let them do all the work, help with planning and if you have issues, they will take care of it. And..you would be supporting a small business.

Discovery Cove Discounts and Deals

Discovery Cove is an all-inclusive day resort run by SeaWorld where guests can enjoy one-of-a-kind animal encounters, including a world class Dolphin Swim Program. Attendance is restricted to about 1,300 guests per day, so a reservation is required, and booking well in advance is suggested . It is located adjacent to SeaWorld, about 15 minutes from the main gates of Walt Disney World in Orlando. You can add 2 or 3 visits to to  SeaWorld Orlando ,  Aquatica , and  Busch Gardens Tampa Bay to your Discovery Cove pass admission at a huge discount. Visits to SeaWorld and Aquatica are available for an additional $60 + tax/person ; visits to Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, SeaWorld and Aquatica are available for an additional $80 + tax/person.

Discovery Cove Gate Prices

Discovery cove ticket discounts.

Please note:  Discovery Cove charges a $4.99 resort fee per ticket and a $9.99 service fee per online order.

All-Inclusive Dolphin Swim Program costs vary widely by date and by season, and prices adjust upward once a certain number of tickets are sold for a certain date. Typically, the Dolphin Swim Program runs between $259 – $450 per person, plus tax. Children must be at least 6 years old to swim with dolphins. Children ages 6-12 must be accompanied by a paying adult who also is participating in the dolphin swim experience. 

Non-Dolphin Swim Program costs similarly vary widely by date and by season, and also adjust upward once a number of tickets are sold for a specific date. Typical prices range from $185 – 300 per person plus tax. Guests ages 2 and under are free with a full paid adult, but reservations are required.

Parking at Discovery Cove is free.

U.S. active duty military, activated or drilling reservist, or National Guardsman can receive discounted rates on Day Resort Admission and Signature Dolphin Swim Packages for military personnel and as many as three direct dependents through the Waves of Honor program. You must register in advance at  www.wavesofhonor.com and complete a form, which you take with you to the theme park along with valid ID.

Auto Club South offers its members a small discount on Discovery Cove admission when purchased in advance either in person or online. You must be a member of Auto Club South to get this specific discount. AAA members from other regions don’t qualify.

Some other AAA regions may offer their own Discovery Cove discounts, however. Ask at your local office.

Discovery Cove offers biggest sale of year ahead of Black Friday

Guests can save up to 50% when making resort reservations.

ORLANDO, Fla. – SeaWorld Orlando’s Discovery Cove announced exclusive early Black Friday offers with up to 50% savings starting on Thursday.

The savings event lasts from Thursday, Nov. 11, to Friday, Nov. 26, through midnight. The sale is valid for visits through Dec. 31, 2022.

According to Discovery Cove officials, this marks the biggest sale of the year for Orlando’s all-inclusive tropical day resort, recently named the “Best Marine Mammal Park in the United States” by Global Brands Magazine.

Guests can save up to 50% on reservations and up to 30% on luxury day beds and the SeaVenture underwater walking tour, where visitors are greeted by tropical fish and sting rays in The Grand Reef.

In addition to all-inclusive food and beverages, parking, lockers, wetsuits and swim gear are also included, according to Discovery Cove.

“We’re looking forward to providing a safe, fun-filled place for friends and family to relax while connecting with nature,” Kyle Miller, park president for Discovery Cove, said in a news release. “A day at Discovery Cove provides the ultimate gift – memories that will last a lifetime.”

Other attractions include Dolphin Lagoon, Grand Reef snorkeling and encounters with flamingos and exotic birds.

Discovery Cove also offers a “Book with Confidence” policy which allows visitors to receive a 100% refund if they cancel more than 30 days before their reservation date.

All three categories of this amenity include towel service, a snack basket, and a mini-fridge stocked with complimentary Coca-Cola products and water. What are Discovery Cove’s park hours?

While waterways are open from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm daily, it is suggested that you arrive between 7:00 am and 8:30 am. This gives you plenty of time to prepare for your day and enjoy your included breakfast.
