Relationships
Relationships (Japanese: 関係 Kankei ; Relationship) are a game mechanic in Miitopia .
Description [ edit ]
Relationships are the basis of the chance-based and situational Assist skills the party members can perform, most of them allowing further advantage in battle . Relationships are formed between two Mii characters, though the Nintendo Switch version also allows them to bond with the horse . There are two types of relationships, which are friendship and quarrel . A friendship will provide a variety of advantageous Assists, while a quarrel will disable those Assists and limit the relationship skills to the quarrel types, which tend to be disadvantageous.
Guest party members can not form relationships with the playable party, so certain support skills performed will not affect friendship and skills that increase hate will not edge a Mii closer to quarrels.
Friendship [ edit ]
A friendship type of relationship uses a level system to determine how close a Mii is to another (or with the horse). Leveling up friendship depends on filling up a heart meter with relationship EXP from certain actions. If the meter is full, the relationship will level up. Friendship requires a fixed amount of 5 relationship EXP per level up, though this value is never shown in a numeric form to the player. The following table lists the sources of relationship EXP.
Friendship is first represented with a thin yellow arrow, but as the relationship level grows, the arrow becomes larger and gradually changes color to orange, then to red, then pink.
Titles [ edit ]
Every relationship level up is accompanied by a title depending on the friendship level. These titles are only flavor text to note how close a pair of Mii characters are. The titles and their respective relationship level range (in brackets) are:
- Acquainted (2-3)
- Maybe sort of likes (4-5)
- Sort of likes (6-7)
- Probably likes (8-9)
- Likes (10-11)
- Likes a bit (12-13)
- Likes a lot (14-15)
- Really likes (16-17)
- Cares about (18-19)
- Close (20-21)
- Cozy (22-23)
- Affectionate (24-25)
- Attached (26-27)
- Harmonious (28-29)
- BFFs (30-31)
- Loyal (32-33)
- Devoted (34-35)
- Confidants (36-37)
- Like peas in a pod (38-39)
- Thick as thieves (40-41)
- Joined at the hip (42-43)
- Kindred spirits (44-45)
- Friendsplosion (46-47)
- Together forever (48-49)
- Soul mates (50-99)
Assists [ edit ]
For the list of Horse Assists, see Horse#Assists .
Upon reaching a certain relationship level, a new Assist is unlocked. Assists are shared between the bonded Mii characters of sufficient relationship level and will not activate if the party member involved is not in the battle party. Assists are disabled if the involved Mii characters get into quarrels, requiring relationship repair to restore the ability to use those skills once more. The following table lists all the relationship skills.
Quarrel [ edit ]
A quarrel type of relationship is when a Mii hates his/her teammate. This is caused by an also unseen value internally referred to as "hate EXP." Similar to the relationship EXP, hate is increased from certain actions, but unlike friendship, a Mii's hate counter is separate from the teammate(s) said Mii has problems with and there is no visual indicator of the quarrel progress. Typically, actions that cause hate will give out 1 hate EXP, except for most of the "Quarrel" map event scenarios where 5 hate EXP is given instead. If 3 hate EXP is reached, the relationship turns into quarrel.
During a quarrel, any relationship skill already learned by the quarreling Mii towards his/her hated teammate will be disabled. In exchange, the quarreling Mii has a chance of activating one of the five (six if two-sided) quarrel skills depending on the situation. This relationship also affects certain job skills' performance as well, like a Warrior using Proud Protector refusing to defend any teammate he/she is quarreling against. In addition, any support skills that would give relationship EXP will not do so if used by a quarreling Mii against the hated teammate.
A quarreling Mii is also distinguished by having a blue relationship arrow towards the hated teammate, and even the relationship meter takes this theme instead of the pink heart.
Reducing the quarrel meter can be done in many ways:
- Rooming quarreling Mii characters together at the inn (provided both of them do not catch a cold ).
- Performing support skills/assists that are normally used to increase friendship on the quarreling Mii.
- Playing out the "Repair" inn event.
- In the Nintendo Switch version only, using Outing Tickets will reduce the meter.
The meter's full amount starts at 3 and most actions that can repair it will reduce it by 1. If it is reduced to nothing, the relationship is repaired and the hate EXP counter is reset to 0. A "Repair" inn event will always empty the quarrel meter(s). In battle, the Pop Star 's Love & Peace can also repair quarrels altogether, but only if the user is not the one quarreling, as it can not target the user.
Quarrels can be one-sided or two-sided, due to the hate counter not being shared between Mii characters. In a one-sided quarrel, the hated teammate can still perform support skills normally and certain assists on the quarreling Mii, thus can potentially help reduce the quarrel meter. A two-sided quarrel is when a pair of party members hate each other, which limits further options to reduce the quarrel meter because both end up barred from using any assist towards each other in addition to sharing the same consequences of quarrels on certain job skills. This kind of quarrel also has a chance of activating the Trouble fight skill. However, a "Repair" inn event involving two-sided quarrels will always empty both Mii characters' quarrel meters regardless of the amount each Mii has.
Quarrel skills [ edit ]
In miitopia: casting call [ edit ].
Relationships of both types, as well as the assists, are depicted in Miitopia: Casting Call .
In "Chosen Ones", the Cat assists the Warrior with Lend a Hand to attack the Dark Lord together. Afterwards, the Cat praises the Warrior, making the latter gleeful.
"Camaraderie" is where relationships are the main highlight. The movie centers around the relationship between the Mage and the Cleric . Through a few map and inn events, their relationship level grows, first to level 2, then to 10, then eventually 15. In a battle against a Rock Moth , this closeness is represented by the Cleric assisting the Mage with Lend a Hand to attack and defeat it together. Quarrels are also depicted in this movie as a result of the Mage's jealousy over the Present event involving the Warrior and the Cleric. It then turns two-sided when an "Irritation" event, depicted with the Mage knocking the Cleric over to a puddle, takes place. Though it does not take place in a battle, they manage to activate Trouble and brawl on the spot. Later, when the Mage gets ambushed by a Kind Golem , the Cleric steps in and performs Sacrifice to take the hit. After the Cleric is knocked out, the Mage performs Avenge and casts lightning on the Kind Golem.
In "Venture Forth", the only relationship mechanic depicted is when the Mage's hate towards the Cat is increased from the side effect of the latter's Spite status.
Trivia [ edit ]
- The Western versions of the Nintendo 3DS version depict hate increase with a dust cloud symbol, while Japan uses the cross-popping veins. This is reverted in the Nintendo Switch version to follow the Japanese version.

The Arcade is a mode in the Inn in Miitopia where the player can spend their earned Game Tickets to play minigames. Both minigames, Roulette and Rock, Paper, Scissors, are available from the start. The Arcade is a good way to earn gold and EXP quickly without having to set out. It is the only place in the game where Game Tickets are spent.
Roulette is a minigame where a Game Ticket is spent to spin a wheel of random prizes. Each time the player enters an Inn , the prizes will be different. There are four categories of prizes on the wheel, and while they stay the same, the size of each category on the wheel varies. The Gold Prize (yellow) consists of either the next-best equipment , or Ragged equipment. If the player already is at maximum level equipment for their current Job , the prize will be 10 HP Bananas . The Silver Prize (blue) is either EXP or Grub . The EXP will come in three sizes: "A Morsel", "A generous helping", and "A royal portion", in ascending order. The Grub can be any type, including rare and very rare versions, and will be three servings of the food. The Bronze Prize (orange), is Jolly Jaunt Tickets. These are tickets only earnable at this game, and take any chosen player and their roommate on an excursion. The roommates will earn relationship EXP, the amount depending on if the ticket was for a Budget, Fancy, or Luxury jaunt. If the chosen player's roommate is ill or currently in a quarrel, or has no roommate at all, the ticket will be sold for 500G, 100G, or 1500G, again depending on the type of jaunt. In the Nintendo Switch version, three Outing Tickets to random locations can also be earned as Bronze Prizes. The Runner-Up (gray) prize will either be an HP Banana or an MP Candy . Every time the player reenters the Inn after an outing, the wheel will be different. If the player attempts to change the wheel by other means such as restarting the game, the ticket may be lost with no prize gained.

Rock, Paper, Scissors
In Rock, Paper, Scissors, the player spends 1 ticket to challenge a small robot to a round of Rock, Paper, Scissors . Winning earns an amount of Gold , dependent on how far the player has progressed into the game. After a win, the player can either leave with their winnings, or bet it all to get double the winnings if they can win another round. The maximum amount to win is sixteen times the original amount, as after the fifth round the player is forced to leave. Losing at any time will result in all rewards being lost, and another ticket is required to replay.

Relationships are a game mechanic in Miitopia . Party members can interact with each other, whether they are in battle or out of battle. Positive interactions result in the increase of the "friendship" meter, while negative interactions result in quarrels .

Friendship [ ]
In Miitopia , having friends is truly a blessing.
Relationship improves when two Mii characters rest in the same room at an inn or through random actions during a battle such as the use of the assist skill "Concern" , the Energetic quirk "Cheer" or healing a party member. The higher the friendship, the more assist skills are available. Assist skills activate randomly during combat and enable boosts for the attacking Mii, duo, trio or full team attacks, etc.
Reaching a new friendship level during battle will also fully heal both Mii characters' HP.
Although relationship is an advantage during battle, if two of the player's Mii characters fight or if a Mii gets jealous because his/her best friend is getting closer to another Mii, it will result in bickering and fights during battle.
The Relationship meter is symbolized by a pink heart.
In Miitopia for Nintendo Switch, the new horse ally can be bonded with a party member. Unlike between teammates, relationship level with the horse has higher boost per Inn stay. Refer to the Horse article for more details on its assist skills.
Relationship levels cap at Level 99, after which the Mii Characters can no longer level up through random events and during battles.
The actions performed by the Mii characters as they level up depends on what level is reached:
- Levels 1-4: Nod their heads and look at each other while smiling with their hands on their left cheek (in battles, they keep their "happy" expressions). When learning a new trick, they pose with the left Mii shaking their right hand and the right Mii on their knees with their left fist clenched.
- Levels 5-9: Hold their hands to their chests and rock side to side. When learning a new trick, they jump from side to side with their arms up.
- Levels 10-19: Jump up and down very happily with arms up. When learning a new trick, they shake back and forth while waving their arms around.
- Levels 20-29: Excitedly shimmy in place while jumping. When learning a new trick, they strike various poses.
- Levels 30 and up: Raise their arms with hearts in their eyes and jump up and down slowly. When learning a new trick, they hold hands in mid-air and spin around.
Relationship experience points [ ]
As mentioned above, relationship is improved by filling up a meter. Unlike party member levels, relationship levels have a constant number of required experience points ( 5 ) to reach the next level. However, how much earned varies by source. Relationship levels never decrease. Instead, a separate "hate EXP" is used to determine how close a Mii is to quarreling with another. The following table lists how much relationship EXP is earned from a given situation, not counting Outings .
For more specific ways, the following is some of the sources of relationship EXP:
- Rooming two Mii characters together.
- A successful evasion following a Warning.
- A Mii showing Concern to an ally that suffered a hit.
- Using a Jolly Jaunt Ticket on two Mii characters in the same room.
- Warrior's Super Snap Out of It.
- Cleric 's Resurrection/Giga Resurrection (guaranteed revival).
- Pop Star 's Angelic Voice.
- Flower 's Life Dew.
- A Mii being protected by a Warrior with Proud Protector.
- Cleric's healing skills.
- Thief 's Huge Trap, when a monster attacks someone other than the Thief.
- Chef 's Feast and Cooking-based skills.
- Cat ’s Playful Antics.
- Scientist 's Safety Mask, when used on a teammate.
- Princess 's Escort, Blindfold (when used on a teammate), and High Tea skills.
- Flower’s Gentle Fragrance, Sweet Fragrance, Flower Bed, and Mega Flower Bed.
- Elf 's Healing Melody, Forest Aegis, and Forest's Blessing.
- A Mii being protected by an Elf with the Counter Arrow skill.
- Applicable skills that target all party members only increase the relationship with one Mii.
- Having two Mii characters train together.
- Having a Mii help another Mii when they have tripped .
- Receiving a gift that makes a Mii at least "somewhat happy."
- When in battle, a Mii having the Anxious status ailment may interrupt an ally about to attack, which cancels out whatever action said ally is about to perform and raises relationship of both characters.
- Using an Outing Ticket on a pair of Mii characters (or a Mii and the horse for the Horse Outing tickets) roomed together. (Nintendo Switch version only)
- Having the horse use Cheek Rub or Neigh on a Mii (randomly triggered on low MP and certain status effects respectively), boosting relationship between the assisted Mii and the horse. (Nintendo Switch version only)
Note: The above methods are not applied on guest party members as said guests cannot form a relationship of any kind with the player's Mii characters.
Assist skills [ ]
Quarrels [ ].
Main article: Quarrel
Quarrels can be triggered when Mii characters have negative interactions with each other. Hate that indicates a countdown towards quarrel is signified by a blue scribble (Nintendo 3DS version)/angry sign (Nintendo Switch version), and if this happens three times (once during the "quarrel" map event) between the same pair, the relationship breaks until the offended Mii forgives the offender.
Role in Miitopia: Casting Call [ ]
Relationships and assist skills are prominently featured in Miitopia: Casting Call .
In the Chosen Ones trailer, the Cat is seen using Lend a Hand towards the Warrior, causing them to attack the Dark Lord at the same time. Afterwards, the Cat is shown giving Praise on the Warrior, with the latter being touched by it.
The Camaraderie trailer's main focus is relationships, specifically, the relationship between the Cleric and the Mage. Their relationship is shown to have begun when the Mage trips and the Cleric decides to help out, similar to the "Tripped" event in Miitopia . The two are then shown to have their relationship grow all the way to Level 15, and in an upcoming battle, the Cleric is seen using Lend a Hand to the Mage.
However, the Mage is then seen to grow resentment towards the Cleric, as he/she is seen receiving a present from the Warrior, which leads the Mage to get jealous. The Mage is then seen tripping over the Cleric on purpose, which leads the two to start a quarrel and activating Trouble.
While the Mage is seen about to be attacked by a Kind Golem , the Cleric is seen activating the Sacrifice assist skill, and is subsequently defeated. The Mage is then seen using Avenge after the Cleric is defeated.
The Venture Forth trailer doesn't feature relationships specifically, but it shows the Mage gaining resentment towards the Cat, due to the latter gaining the "evil" status effect from an Imp .
Differences in the Camaraderie trailer [ ]
The way that relationships and quarrels are shown are slightly different in the Camaraderie trailer than they are in Miitopia . The following are the differences between the presented features in the trailer and actual gameplay.
- The Warrior and the Cat, who are unrelated to the Cleric and the Mage's relationship, would stalk the two's interactions with each other.
- The focus being quite closer to the center.
- The Mii characters being closer to each other compared to how it is in Miitopia .
- The Mii characters posing as if they had a Level 6-9 relationship, but with their eyes open.
- The focus being much closer to the center, more so than it was in the "Likes" relationship level.
- It having the color of Level 30+ relationships instead of the Level 10-19 color (likely to differentiate from "Likes").
- The Mii characters being very close in distance.
- The poses that two Mii characters have being the same as if they obtain a new assist skill at levels 2-5.
- When the Mage is shown being jealous of the Warrior, who is seen giving a present to the Cleric, he/she gains resentment to the latter. In Miitopia , the Mage would gain resentment to the Cleric instead.
- The two Mii characters are shown having the Moody status effect during the "That was the last straw!" message while saying a certain phrase. However, they are not next to the Mii that they resent.
- Unlike in Miitopia , where Trouble activates during a battle, the Camaraderie trailer shows the Mage and the Cleric seemingly activating it during exploration .
- Although the Cleric and Mage use the Sacrifice and Avenge Assists respectively, neither of them would be able to use assists towards each other until they forgave each other.
- The Mage uses Lightning to Avenge the Cleric when Miis only do normal attacks when avenging others.
- The relationship arrow's color changes depending on the relationship level (from yellow to pink), so do the hearts when an assist skill is used.
- When a Mii grows their relationship with another during an event but has resentment toward them, the Mii will act aloof and look away instead of dancing with the Mii.
- Leveling up a relationship during a battle or from a stage event will restore all HP, but not MP, for both Mii characters. This creates a situation only possible via the Warning assist in tandem with an enemy's wide-target attack (targets one Mii but can damage others adjacent to him/her) where a Mii using Warning is adjacent to the targeted Mii, and said targeted Mii dodges successfully while the Warning user takes enough splash damage to leave his/her HP at 0. In a battle, a successful Warning will have the dodging Mii express his/her gratitude followed by a relationship boost before the battle sequence resumes. In this scenario, if the relationship between these Mii characters levels up from this (thus the level-up fully restores HP for both), this will cancel out the "knocked out" condition for the would-be-defeated Mii.
- Sometimes, when a Mii with the angry condition uses a move that causes resentment, a quarrel can start between the two Mii characters without the transition effect happening. It will not register until the Mii uses the same move with the same target.
- If a Mii uses Cover, Sacrifice, or Proud Protector but ends up running out of HP, the relationship will not increase.
- When relationships increase between levels 5-9, they will look at each other if they level up through Inn events or through Jolly Jaunt Tickets. Otherwise, they will only smile when they level up.
- The Avenge assist will not activate if caused by attacks that cause friendly fires, such as the Pop Star 's Out of Tune or Way Out of Tune .
- There is a subtle hint for when a Mii is about to be revived due to a relationship skill. Usually, when your last Mii dies, the battle music muffles and transitions into the losing theme. However, if your last Mii falls, but they or another Mii is about to be revived due to a relationship skill, the music will continue playing and the battle will continue.

What Is Relationship?
How to increase relationship, what is the maximum relationship level, miitopia related articles.
It has a variety of effects, all depending on the level of relationship between two Mii's.
Relationship Levels and Effects
Relationships with fellow Mii's are very helpful in battle and as such, knowing ways to increase your relationship levels will be crucial. These relationship levels also apply to your Horse which can be a good partner in your adventures to come!
Here are some of the ways that we have confirmed on how to increase your relationship levels.
Outings and Jolly Jaunts
These are performed if you have an Outing Ticket and provides the good increase in Relationship levels. To use them, while in an Inn, pick a Mii that is currently roomed with another Mii to have them go on an outing. After that outing, the relationship level will automatically increase.
If the outing also goes very well, there will be a bonus on the increase in relationship levels.
These are basically amped up Outings with a very high chance of increasing your Relationship level by at least one. However, they can also fail and result into a much lower increase in relationship levels so be careful when using them!
Having two Mii's in one room while in the Inn also have the effect of granting a small increase in relationship levels. The effect is higher when you're roomed with your Horse.
Also, while roomed together, there will be chances of Mii's talking to each other as marked by a speech bubble on top of the Mii's. This usually triggers a random event (training, talking, or a Mii giving a gift to another). This will also trigger a further increase in relationship levels.
Support Skills
Supporting one another will also result in Mii's improving their relationship levels. Healing a Mii's HP, warning them of an incoming attack, taking revenge when they get hurt - all of these skills that show teamwork between your Mii's will improve their relationship levels.
This ability in itself is very useful since it restores your MP. However, it also increases your relationship levels with your horse!
The maximium relationship level for Miitopia on the Switch is level 99! By maxing out your relationship with your party members, you become powerful by unlocking all of the assist skills available in the game.
How to Reach the Maximum Relationship Level?
We recommend that you should always place your Miis in the same room together, and gather as many outing tickets as possible by winning them using game tickets, or via letters from people you saved in Miitopia.
We also recommend you avoid using skills that may cause resentment and quarrels between your Miis, since it will hinder you from leveling up your relationship level. Resentment and Quarrels: How to Fix

Miitopia for Nintendo Switch: Tips and tricks
- Make friends
- Choosing jobs
Miitopia is the most recent addition to Nintendo's list of ports from the Nintendo 3DS onto the Nintendo Switch. A classic JRPG, it sees you carry out the typical task of saving the world, but with a twist — YOU get to decide who the cast is! Every person in the game is a Mii, so you can decide whether you want to team up with friends or even celebrities to defeat the Dark Lord.
If you, like many, are looking to do this in the most efficient way possible, be sure to check out these handy tips and tricks!
Explore the land of Miitopia!
Sometimes, paths in different areas in Miitopia can branch off. These paths can vary in difficulty, feature chests that contain gold, amongst other things. If you so desire, you can enter any given area as many times as you want. When journeying across the land, make sure you leave no stone uncovered. You may even come across a hidden chest that contains just the weapon you're looking for!
Make sure you eat!
Each time you leave an area, you get the opportunity to rest your weary bones at an inn. Here you regain any lost Hit Points (HP), Magic Points (MP), and can purchase more clothing, weapons, and snacks for your team. One of the most important aspects of the game is ensuring that all of your Miis are adequately fed. Not only does this keep them happy, but it also allows for you to give them stat boosts!
Miis have stats for HP, MP, Attack, Magic, Defence, and Speed. Different foods will buff different stats, which is indicated by a yellow highlight over that stat. Your Miis, just like humans in the real world, all have opinions about different kinds of food. Miis can be content with, like, love, dislike, or hate foods, affecting how their stats are boosted. The more your Mii likes a certain food, the more that stat will go up! Make sure you give your Miis foods that they like while keeping their jobs in mind. A mage, for example, would benefit more from foods that boost MP or Magic. And if you're indecisive, you can press the X button to serve food to your Miis at random!
Grind away to get more food!
If you're low on food, go on the grind! Your primary source of food comes from defeating enemies. On occasion, you'll encounter NPCs that give you some food along your journey. You can also find food in chests around the world or through the Roulette game at the Arcade. If you have the Thief job, you can even steal some snacks from enemies during battle.
Maintain your relationships!
As with any band of travelers, the relationships between your Miis will develop over time. At the inn, you can place Miis in rooms together, which increases this relationship. Your Miis can even form a bond with your party's horse if you place a Mii in the horse stall! Even during battle, Miis can increase their bond if they assist each other by giving each other snacks (either HP Bananas or MP Candies) or checking up on them after they get hurt.

However, like friends often do, Miis can quarrel! Similar to the "Affection" stat that raises to improve relationships, a "Resentment" stat raises when two Miis' relationship is negatively affected. This prevents them from using their relationship perks in battle and can even impair their battling skills if they're too focused on hating each other. Ensure that any quarreling Miis sleep in the same room at the inn to work out their differences.
Players who wish to improve their Miis' relationships even further can use Outing Tickets or Jolly Jaunt Tickets to send two Miis sharing a room at the inn off on an outing or vacation. Depending on the quality of the tickets, their relationship can improve quite a lot!
Play in the arcade!
At the inn, there's an arcade where you can play one of two games: Roulette and Rock, Paper, Scissors. The Roulette allows for you to receive four items from a pool of several: a snack, a weapon, armor, some experience points (EXP), or Jolly Jaunt Tickets. Each time you arrive at an inn, the odds of receiving one of the four randomly selected items will change. If you see an item with a really high chance of being selected, spend an Arcade Ticket to play! But don't be afraid to hold off until you see something good. Make sure you check the Roulette to see if any good armor or weapons are on offer before you give your Miis money to take to the store. If you receive a second piece of armor or a weapon by mistake, you can always sell it.
The other game at the arcade is Rock, Paper, Scissors. Here players compete against a robot in the classic triangular game. It costs one Arcade Ticket to play, and the player will receive 500 G if they win. Players can choose to up the stake and wager their winnings for double their money. Winning twice in a row will grant you 1000 G, three times in a row nets you 2000 G, and so on. However, be careful! If you lose after wagering your winnings, you will walk away with nothing at all. Sometimes it's good to learn to quit while you're ahead!
Make that money!
Money, or rather, G , makes the world go 'round. If you don't know how to earn more money, you can always grind. You can go through areas you previously ventured through or find money in chests. Money can even be found buried underground in random events! Sometimes NPCs can ask you to go on quests, so you can try and complete some jobs for the rewards. Certain enemies can also give you lots of cash, like Gold Snurps. You'll find them from time to time on the overworld. Defeating them will grant you a big fat cash reward, which you can use to buy new weapons and armor!
Choose jobs that play to your strengths!
Each Mii in your party can have one of six personalities: Kind, Energetic, Laid-back, Cool, Stubborn, Air-headed, and Cautious. Each personality comes with its own set of quirks which can give them certain boosts in battle. Kind Miis can give other party members a snack if they need one, and Stubborn Miis can attack enemies twice if they aren't satisfied with their performance the first time around. Make sure the jobs you choose for your Miis best suit their personalities, using our Miitopia Personality Guide!
Make use of the Safe Spot!
Now and again, an enemy may use an attack that deeply affects your Mii's emotions. Sometimes they will start crying so hard that they miss any enemies they try to hit or are too petrified to move a muscle. Cases like these call for the Safe Spot, a little corner within the battlefield where your Miis can compose themselves. The Safe Spot can cure any status ailment (outside of a fainted Mii, of course) and will replenish your HP and MP as well. If your Miis are running low on HP or MP, you can place them in the Safe Spot to rest up a bit!
Sprinkle your Miis until they feel better!
Forget modern medicine; Sprinkles are in! During battle or out in the field, you can use Sprinkles on your Miis, depending on what they need. There are HP Sprinkles, MP Sprinkles, and Life Sprinkles for when your Miis faint during battle. You only have a set number of Sprinkles per area, as they're re-filled every time you visit an inn. If you're fighting a tough enemy and you need some healing, try the Safe Spot! As you defeat more enemies and free more faces, your capacity for Sprinkles will increase. All the more motivation to go out and explore and defeat those pesky enemies!
Save the kingdom!
While Miitopia isn't exactly the "Dark Souls of JRPGs," it's always nice to go in prepared. As long as you pay attention to your Miis' needs and treat them the way you would your friends, you'll be alright. It is one of the best Nintendo Switch games , after all. Now go out there and defeat that pesky Dark Lord so that peace can be brought back to Miitopia!
Save the world, one face at a time
If you want all the gameplay of a JRPG without the tedious and confusing story, this is the game for you. Players can build their own cast of characters and embark on a journey to save the world, all while building bonds with their party members.

Mii Characters become more effective in combat if they're well acclimated with their teammates. They can get closer to each other through various means, with the most common way of increasing friendship between characters being alloing them to sleep with a teammate at an Inn. Friendship increasing is symbolized by a filling heart meter. When this meter fills completely, the two Miis' relationship will level up, and depending on the level of their friendship, they will gain access to new Assist Skills between each other.
There are many ways to fill this heart meter and thus build friendship:
- Having two Mii Characters sleep at an Inn together after fighting at least one battle before sleeping. (as mentioned above)
- Viewing one of many Inn Events . (Not all Inn Events will result in increased friendship)
- Experiencing some Map Events.
- Going on Vacation with Jolly Jaunt Tickets from the Roulette Minigame .
- As a result from certain status effects .
Note: All Assist Skills all don't always activate. Assist Skills with an asterisk next to them (*) have a chance of activating multiple times if a Mii Character has that Assist Skill unlocked across more than one teammate.

Jolly Jaunt Tickets: The player can only get these tickets here at the Roulette. Comes in Budget, Fancy, and Luxury. When given to a Mii, that Mii and his/her roommate will gain relationship EXP depending on the ticket rank. If given to a Mii that has no roommate, is roomed with an ally bearing a quarrel with them (and in reciprocating ...
Jolly Jaunt Tickets: Yellow Equipment (Clothing or Weapons) HP Banana x10: Save Your Game Tickets Later for Better Prizes. Roulette prizes and EXP are random, but the higher your level, the more valuable the prizes become. It is then recommended to save your Game Tickets until you reach the later parts of the game to win better prizes.
Jolly Jaunt Tickets (Budget, Fancy, or Luxury)**** Gray Prize: 1 HP Banana or MP Candy *Any weapons or clothing you earn from the Roulette can be given to any party member. You can also choose to sell this piece of equipment, which will give you the same amount of money that it would cost if you were to buy it with Gold instead. This is a very ...
The "Jolly Jaunts" are the Cruises you can go on with Miis. If you pick a Mii and they CAN'T go on a cruise, it means one of a few things: They have to go with another Mii, so they can't go if they're in a room by themselves. If they're in a room with another Mii, but they're Quarreling (the crooked blue arrow) they won't get along well enough ...
Jolly Jaunt Tickets: 2, 4, or 6: 2 relationship EXP is given from a Budget ticket, 4 from a Fancy ticket, or 6 from a Luxury ticket Outings: Varies: Depend on the outing scenario, Nintendo Switch version only ... In the Nintendo Switch version only, using Outing Tickets will reduce the meter.
If the chosen player's roommate is ill or currently in a quarrel ...
General Stuff- Mii's don't miss out on XP after battles if they are fainted. Roulette Wheels with mostly Gold segments can be great for farming money. "Ragged" clothes are useless and have no defensive capabilities, avoid unless you're going for 100%. Unwanted Jolly Jaunt tickets can be sold by giving them to Mii's who are alone in the Inn.
Jolly Jaunt tickets looks bronze, but is arguably the second best, EXP is blue, and Weapons is the only sensible one. I literally only use the jolly jaunt tickets for the exp. 36K subscribers in the Miitopia community. Jolly Jaunt Tickets from this minigame can also be sold, but only if the player tries to send a lone Mii or quarreling Miis on vacation using Jolly Jaunt tickets. It is not recommended to use the Rock, Paper, Scissors Minigame as a reliable way of earning a lot of Gold since there is a high chance the player will lose the game against the ...

Jolly Jaunt Tickets 6 (Luxury) 4 (Fancy) 2 (Budget) For more specific ways, the following is some of the sources of relationship EXP: Rooming two Mii characters together. A successful evasion following a Warning. A Mii showing Concern to an ally that suffered a hit.
I don't think the devs tested the ticket outcomes properly (also can I just say I wish you could sell them? Kinda lame the game doesn't let you sell Outing Tickets yet it lets you sell Jolly Jaunt Tickets).
Outing/Jolly Jaunt Ticket: Increase: Medium to High: These are performed if you have an Outing Ticket and provides the good increase in Relationship levels. To use them, while in an Inn, pick a Mii that is currently roomed with another Mii to have them go on an outing. After that outing, the relationship level will automatically increase.

Assist Skills with an asterisk next to them (*) have a chance of activating multiple times if a Mii Character has that Assist Skill unlocked across more than one teammate.
Outings and Outing Tickets are added in. Basically the Jolly Jaunt Tickets 2.0 except it allows the player take their Mii characters to places like chilling in a cafe, watching a movie, playing by the beach, etc. when they can bond with each other and increase their relationship.
Capps Creek is actually a very nice place to take the family. The Jolly Mill area has been renovated into a park setting, the lawns are manicured, and it is a wonderful spot for picnicking. The mill dam creates a man-made waterfall and a pretty set of riffles. Upstream from the mill a half mile or so, you'll find the springs.

I like both, but I prefer the Outings. You get a unique and wholesome cutscene whenever you go on an Outing, while the Jolly Jaunts really only tell you what happens instead of showing you. You can also save Outing tickets for later, but you cannot save Jolly Jaunt tickets for later. Also, I am running out of poll ideas again.
