Great tour; had a wonderful night; would recommend and would definitely go back again

Zero stars! We booked our trip in January, and it's April. We have been waiting for our tour guide to pick us up for an hour. No one answers the phone, no one emailed me back, no one has called. Their website claim "best of", but I am thinking worst might fit. Now that I have left a bad review, is anyone going to call?

I am so thankful I found Oahu Private Tours. The best part of Oahu Private Tours is the fact they are small and give personal attention from start to finish. They made a change at the end of the tour that made the whole vacation very special for my wife. After booking on-line for the "private adventure tour" we were contacted by the owner Jason. He confirmed what we had booked, snorkeling and a hike to a waterfall, and gave us additional information on what to expect. I contacted Jason a day later letting him know we had already spent a day snorkeling and was wandering if we could do something else. Without hesitation he mentioned a couple other ideals and made the changes. We were picked up (on time) at our hotel by Arielle, our tour guide. She was awesome! We asked if we could swing by a coffee shop due to waking up late. She took us to a local coffee shop and not one of the "big chain stores". On the drive to the hike to the water fall Arielle took the time to find out a little about all four of us and gave us a little history of the island. The hike to the water fall was beautiful. We did not see one other person on our hike in. At the water fall there was only a couple other people. We spent some time swimming and taking pictures.  Then she had us climb along the side of the water fall to a second level. No one was at this water fall.  It was our own little provide oasis. For lunch Arielle took us to another little local place that was amazing. Not a place any large group tour could go to. During lunch my wife mentioned we had come to the island with friends 15 years ago. They took us to a place that had tide pools. It was one of the best memories she had of the island. We knew the general location but not how to get there. Arielle contacted Jason and ask if he knew of the pools. Jason seems to know ever inch if the island and gave her exact location through a text. It was not the easiest place to get to, but Ariel did it. It brought back memories for me and my wife that we are forever grateful for. I can not thank Jason, Arielle and Oahu Private Tours enough for going above a beyond any other tour we have ever been on.

We are so thrilled with our day and guide Justin! He was so accommodating, knowledgeable, welcoming, and personable. He picked us up in a very new and sparkling clean minivan that was large and comfortable. He first took us to get Portuguese donuts at a food truck and they were wonderful. Then he took us to a coffee farm as we all mentioned we liked coffee. We then went to snorkel at Shark's cove and he provided the mask and snorkel. He was kind enough to hold on to our valuables while we snorkeled and gave us instructions on where to go. When we got out of the water he handed us our towels which was so kind of him (little things go a long way). Afterwards we went on a small walk to Waimea Falls which was beautiful and he took lots of photos for us. While on the walk he was extremely knowledgeable about the plants and former Hawaiian royalty. Then we got to go to Waimea Bay. Finally, he took us to a food truck lot where there were several different types of food trucks and we ate there. He was kind enough to extend our tour an hour as we had gotten stuck in traffic earlier. We are a quiet group but he was very interactive and kept talking to us which I appreciate. His amount of knowledge was impressive as he had answers to all our questions and informed us of things we were passing on the regular. He also was extremely kind to any service person (food truck workers/ ticket sellers /etc) we came into contact with which speaks a lot about his energy and personality. He always referred to us as friends and family which was so welcoming. Justin was undoubtedly the greatest guide we have ever had and we would recommend him to anyone coming to Oahu! Waimea Falls walk

If you do ONE thing on your Hawaiian vacation, make it Oahu Private Tours. Seriously, we did more unbelievable things in our eight hours together than I did during the other eight days I was here. I found OHP on Instagram, where I fell in love with their vibes. (If you haven't seen their 'gram, you should check it out, it's gorgeous and gives you a great idea of the types of experiences they offer). I had a day to kill on Oahu by myself and knew I wanted to "see the island," but wasn't really sure what that meant. I knew I didn't want to be one of 80 people on a giant tour bus, or even one of 12 people in a minibus, or heck, even one of 6 people in a van! I had one day and I wanted to do it my way. I appreciated that the team was very communicative leading up to my trip (answered emails promptly, checked in a few days before with more details, etc). The night before, my guide (Jason) asked me if we could start a bit early, 7am. I said sure, and I'm really glad I trusted his suggestion - the early start helped us get to attractions before small parking lots filled or before beaches got crowded, so the whole day it was like every place we visited was on a private island we had all to ourselves. Jason was friendly, easy going, and super fun. I was on the tour by myself, but there was never an awkward pause- it was like we were old friends from the moment he picked me up. He was incredibly flexible all day. For example, I hadn't had time for breakfast, so he took me to a cool local spot for coffee and hot malasadas (basically just extra crispy perfect donuts - mine was rolled in cinnamon sugar with filled with coconut cream). Over breakfast, we made a plan based on what I'd already done on the island and what I hoped to do, and set off for the North Shore. Our first stop was cliff jumping. The beach was gorgeous: completely empty, with gold sand, black rocks, and light green water. Jason led to the spot and gave me instructions. It was scary, but awesome! He was also a spectacular photographer, capturing amazing portraits, action shots, and enviable Instagram pics. We were going to head to a waterfall, but I was really enjoying floating in the water on the empty beach."You're lovin' the water? No problem, let's find more water!" And just like that, on a whim, our plans shifted. We hit a gorgeous beach with shallow water, and got to enjoy the sand and sun. I splashed around, enjoyed the rays, and relaxed before the next adventure. Next was snorkeling. Jason knew exactly how to get through the waves ("ready? we wait for this set to finish, then we go") and swim between the black and tan rocks out to the deep cove. It was full of fish and much less crowded than my last snorkeling destination. Our last stop was a highlight: swimming with TURTLES! Probably the most memorable thing I've ever done. It was incredible, swimming alongside these graceful, giant creatures in their natural habitat. Finally, the day ended with a stop at an AMAZING local taco stand. The whole day was incredible. I hope you get to experience OHP, I can't recommend it highly enough!

We had a super laid back and amazing tour today with a great guide Kenny! We started off with warm Hawaiian/Portuguese Custard Donuts and then a local coffee plantation stop to pick up some coffee. Afterwards, we were off to the North Shore to see a couple awesome beaches including the Pipeline. He took us to an ancient temple site with a great view and then off to a hike to a waterfall with a small spot for canonballs. We then concluded our day at a good ramen joint. Kenny recently completed his Bachelor's degree and was a wealth of information. To me, as a small business owner, his hospitality and ownership mentality was evident and inspiring. You can tell that he truly loves his job and people as well. We could not have enjoyed our day more! Memories were made and it was magical. After a couple days in Waikiki it was nice to get out into the countryside. Mahalo!

We did two tours with Justin, had a great time and learned a lot about Oahu. First we did the south side of the island, and then the north side of the is. and. We learned about the history of Oahu, and talked about the future of Oahu. Talked about the different birds that live on Oahu. The tour provided transportation, towels, and snorkel equipment (but we did bring our own towels and snorkel equipment). We ate some really good local food and had some Hawaiian coffee. One highlight was a hidden lava tube that we climbed through and had a great view. I think this lava tube was kind of a secret destination, because there were a lot of people in the area, but we were alone for this view. Both days we went past the end time as Justin wasn't a clock watcher, so we appreciated that. I would recommend OPT if you're visiting Oahu.

I researched and found OPT on Tripadvisor. We booked our North Shore tour with Jason before arriving on the island. He was wonderful with communicating via email and phone. There were 7 of us and their van fits 6 people. Jason had his tour guide bring his wife's personal van so we can all be together. A private tour with Oahu Private Tours is so much better than a bus tour where you're stuck with so many other people and on a schedule. OPT tailors the tour to your group, your likes and dislikes and if you're enjoying the activity you can stay longer (and vice versa). Jason is a rare, one of a kind business owner who doesn't just care about making money. He cares very much about his customers and their satisfaction!! He runs a top of the line private tour company and I'm sure that's why he is the #1 private tour company on tripadvisor. You can't go wrong booking your tour with Oahu Private Tours!

My husband and I took the Circle Island Tour with KC as our guide. We had a great day - stopping at places we were interested in, following KC's lead on places we should see, and moving at the pace that was right for us. KC was very knowledgeable regarding the island and all of our stops. She had great suggestions for lunch and snacks too. Great way to explore the island!

We had a fantastic day on the Circle Island tour. We requested to stay away from the big crowds and spent more time near the North Shore. It was such a great way to see the island for the first time. Our guide Nikki was fantastic! She showed us spots that I know we would have never gotten to see otherwise. She was so patient when I basically had a panic attack at the beginning of our snorkel experience....I did get over it and had a wonderful time! Even saw a sea turtle! I highly recommend!

Our day with Jason was awesome. Despite a rough morning, he was positive and engaging. It was like spending your day with an old friend. Our family of four booked Jason for the circle island private tour. Jason came across instantly as super friendly. He took the time at the start to get to know us all, including our interests, what we most wanted to see and what we wanted to get out of the day. He tailored the conversation and facts about Hawaii and Oahu to our personal interests (for us and the kids it was movies, famous Hawaiians, living in Hawaii). Jason is very knowledgeable, friendly, great with our young kids and very engaging. He showed us so many amazing places around Oahu, told of the history behind them, and gave the kids time to play on the beach, allowing us to make memories from visiting those places, rather than just snap a picture and leave. Our circle island tour with Jason was undoubtedly the highlight of our week in Honolulu. With a group of 6 people and ages ranging from grandparents to two young children aged 7 and 9, we were a little unsure what we could do to accommodate everyone. Jason’s relaxed, charismatic manner immediately put us at ease, and he took the time to understand each of us, what our interests are, and what we most wanted to see and do on the tour. His in depth knowledge of cultural, geographical and historical events added to the experience. Not once did we feel rushed throughout the day, regardless of the full agenda, nor did we ever feel like tourists or need to queue. Every food suggestion was spot on and the way he involved our boys in the tour throughout the day was truly incredible, loads of laughs, not one child whinge. 2 day tour with Jason in Aug 2019

This review is a little late...but better late than never. Our family of 5 ( with teenagers ages 14 16 and 19 ) spent 2 days with Jason in early August and we could not have had a better experience! Jason was engaging and entertaining right from the start. He showed us the beauty of Oahu, and we got to swim at waterfalls and at hidden beautiful beach areas. It was spectacular and it exceeded expectations! Jason was a wealth of knowledge about Hawaii's history and culture, and we got to experience great local food ( loved the Poke bowls) If you are in Oahu, I can only hope you have a chance to see it with Jason as your guide. It was the first time visiting Hawaii for me and my wife, so we wanted to do a tour that would take us around the island to show us all the hidden nooks and gems Oahu has to offer. Came to Oahu on honeymoon with my wife and we booked Oahu Private Tours for a North Shore Hybrid Tour. We had an issue in the morning where we changed hotels last minute and Jason was super accommodating and met us at our new hotel without any complaints. Right away as we met, he was super welcoming and I could quickly tell this was going to be a great day. As Jason, my wife, and I are all near the same age, we bonded quickly. Jason took us to get food at an amazing food truck, then took us snorkeling on a super secluded beach to find sea turtles. We got up in close to a group of 5 turtles, so close that a few turtles came by and thought my swim trunks were food. It was truly amazing, and they are such docile creatures. This was one of the highlights of our 10 day honeymoon. What really impressed me about Jason was his knowledge of all things Hawaii. Any questions we asked him, whether it was history or current events, the depth and clarity of his answers was truly refreshing. Many times on tours you get a guide which is reciting a script, but Jason is truly passionate about what he does and everything he speaks about. We spent more of the day exploring and discussing Hawaiian culture, and I had hoped to book him for more time, but of course due to his popularity he was completely booked up. Knowing he was booked, he spent a lot of time texting me places to go and see based on my interests. That was truly generous and awesome. Trust me, you will have no regrets booking a tour with OPT. Next time I'm back in Oahu, I will be sure to book him for at least 2 days.

Pearl Harbor is a bucket list experience for many travelers visiting Oahu. And while it is possible to see on your own, going with a guide can provide so much more insight into the events of the attack and the significance it had on WWII. 

This full-day Private Tour of Pearl Harbor includes transportation and admission to ALL the Pearl Harbor Museums, including the USS Arizona Memorial, USS Bowfin submarine, USS Missouri battleship, and Pearl Harbor Aviation Museum. But in addition to visiting Pearl Harbor, you’ll also drive by some iconic Honolulu sites on your way back to the hotel, like the ‘Iolani Palace, King Kamehameha I Statue, and the Punchbowl National Cemetery.

If you want the cultural experience of a luau but the scenic beauty of a boat tour, then this Cultural Catamaran Tour is for you. As you set sail on a custom-built double-hulled canoe, you’ll get to hear Hawaiian stories, history, and ukulele music while singing while you sail along Oahu’s stunning Kona (leeward) coastline.

You’ll have the opportunity to participate in a few fun activities, like taro pounding and hula dancing. We did this tour last year and can say that it was way more insightful and educational compared to a luau! This might be one of the most memorable private tours on Oahu that we’ve done.

Although the boat can only take 6 people, these trips are normally offered as small group tours.  If you prefer to enjoy the entire experience privately, boats can also be chartered just for your group (although they are still limited to 6 guests).

They offer four different sailing times – one in the morning, two in the afternoon, and one for sunset. The sunset cruise is wonderful, especially considering it includes dinner, music, and a sunset ‘oli (chant). Morning and afternoon are nice too but only include refreshments and pupus.

If you only have a limited amount of time on Oahu, then a Private Circle Island Tour is one of the best ways to see as much as possible. For a non-stop day of action and adventure, book this fully custom Private Adventure Tour of Oahu for your entire group. You get to decide how you want to spend the day, whether it’s snorkeling, hiking, cliff jumping, paddleboarding, kayaking, etc.!

Jason Nau organized a private day tour for our extended family of 12 to see and experience the North Shore. Amazing experience. Jason is the best tour guide I have ever had. He went above and beyond to make our experience truly memorable. Had a Great time on the private tour. The guide JP was very knowledgeable about the island and was really accommodating to what we wanted to do through out the day.

We were lucky to have Dave as our guide and he gave us the best day of our holiday. We had rented a car last week but we wanted a locals view and some hidden gems to sample and he didn’t disappoint! My husband and I and our 7 yr old son thoroughly enjoyed Dave’s knowledge and passion of this beautiful island and we were lucky to have found a number of places we hadn’t yet experienced. We felt like Dave was family by the end of the day. We will do this tour again once we return.

I booked a last minute tour with Custom Island after we had spent a few days in Waikiki. It’s a fun place to visit but I got the sense we were missing on a lot of things to see on the rest of Oahu and we didn’t have a rental car.

This was the best day and way to see the island for sure. We saw so much. Turtles, whales, shrimp, shave ice, nuts, temples, dinosaurs and amazing views. We had enough time as we wanted anywhere and he gave us lots of tips and ideas as well.

It was a fabulous trip with Tiho. Even though many places were closed on Christmas day, he customized the trip very nicely based on our tastes and was extremely polite and understanding. He was extremely punctual and a thorough professional. I highly recommend this company and Tiho for tours of Oahu.

Theresa was our guide for a private tour of Pearl Harbor and the Missouri. I chose a private tour because of my two kiddos and she did not disappoint! Theresa was amazing, she even got in the line at the book store for me when I mentioned I wasn't sure if we'd have time to get books for sister. My girls like her so much that my oldest huged her at the end....my oldest does not hug anyone!! Theresa gave us several other recommendations of places to go including a beach on the North Shore where my girls got to see TURTLES 🐢, which were at the top of the "must list" for Hawaii. We will be using her on any future trips!

We are grandparents traveling with a 5 year old. Yesterday Conner treated us to a fantastic day on the North Shore. We hit all of the highlights, Turtle Beach, Sunset Beach, Shrimp truck, Matsumoto Shave Ice plus Dole and Macadamia plantations. Conner set our itinerary perfectly including the timing. He was kind and very knowledgeable. Lots of shopping and great stories about Hawaii. We highly recommend!

I loved my island tour with Blue Hawaii Tours! Our guide Jenny was full of interesting information about the island and we were able to see a lot of the island in the full day tour. From honolulu up the coast line of the windward side, north shore, and mountainous areas. Food truck stop at the north shore. Jenny was adaptable to the groups interests whether it be beach or waterfalls or malasadas to poke and garlic shrimp, there is something for everyone on this tour. Highly recommend!

Travis Kelce Says He Had a 'Blast’ with Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper at Taylor Swift's Paris Concert

"They're amazing," Kelce said of the couple during the latest episode of his 'New Heights' podcast

Travis Kelce is getting candid about his time at girlfriend Taylor Swift ’s Paris concert.

The Kansas City Chiefs player, 34, who attended Swift’s Eras Tour in the French capital over the weekend alongside Gigi Hadid and Bradley Cooper , shared that the trio had fun while watching the “Fortnight” singer perform.

"I got to see Gigi and Bradley. Bradley Cooper, man,” Kelce recalled on the latest episode of his New Heights podcast. “We were all in the suite having a blast.”

“They're amazing,” he added.

In footage shared by fans during the show, Kelce, Hadid, 29, and Cooper, 49, could be seen singing and dancing to Swift's track "Blank Space" from their box.

Travis' brother Jason Kelce then asked if he and Cooper, 49, who grew up in Philadelphia, talked about his former team the Philadelphia Eagles .

“Of course. Bradley Cooper is a huge Eagles fan,” he shared.

The NFL tight end also revealed that the Maestro actor recently saw their mother Donna Kelce , who had attended an event for Cooper’s new restaurant.

“He was opening a restaurant in, I believe, in New York. I forget where exactly it is, but shout out to B.C, and, they were doing a fun presentation or a fun event for the ladies,” he said. “And mom pulled up and so did Miss Cooper, Bradley's mom and a bunch of familiar faces as well.” 

Travis then returned to discussing the Eras Tour stop, describing it as “an all around lovely night,” to which Jason, 36, replied, “I bet.”

“You're now up to five concerts that you've seen. You've been to Kansas City, Argentina, Australia, Singapore, and now Paris. How does Paris compare to all of these other wonderful shows?,” Jason asked his brother.

Showering praise on Swift's Paris concert, Travis replied, "Dude, that was — I mean, I don't know if they're just getting better or if I just keep forgetting how they are.”

“I'll tell you what. Kansas City showed out,” he gushed. “Argentina was unbelievable. Australia, they partied with the best of them, and they celebrated with the best of them. Those three were unbelievable. Singapore was so unique and so fun. And then Paris was just — it was on a whole another level, man.”

“And, I'm just I'm happy for everybody that's in the tour that's performing from the dancers to the band and obviously Taylor,” he continued. “It just looks like they're having so much fun up there, and they're absolutely killing it. And they're putting on a show that you know, you won't get anywhere else.”

"I had a blast at Tay's show," he added. "Her new rendition of the Eras Tour, I suggest everybody go see it. It's absolutely unbelievable. I enjoyed every bit of it." Travis also noted that he didn't get to "explore Paris too much" because "I didn't get out there in time," but added, "We'll do that some other time."
