I have been waiting for what seems like forever to see this band live . I discovered them a few weeks before their Hoxton show but didn't realise it was on until the day after. The gig was amazing and they certainly didn't disappoint. Their playing is so accurate and while some of their music can be complicated with constantly changing time signatures it never seems to get in the way of a very exciting accessible music. The guitar sound is superlative,the vocals beautiful,airy and melodic and their new drummer is a fine replacement for their original drummer Komaki. They came out after the show and signed stuff and talked to us and were very friendly and down to earth. In my opinion one of the greatest bands around today. p.s. Delta Sleep were good too!

There show in shepherds bush on Friday was nuts, Tricot absolutely blew away my expectations. It's a rare treat to see a band play so flawlessly whilst maintaining the level of on stage energy these girls show. Delta sleep are another favourite band of mine and my only complaint is that they couldn't play for longer! Couldn't ask for a better pairing of bands to see in one night.

Amazing band. Tons of energy. Even though their English isn't great, they made a lot of effort to speak to and connect with the crowd. Hirohiro came down and played half a song in the crowd, Ikkyu crowdsurfed mid-song. HIGHLY recommended.

Insane energy and highly interactive with the audience despite the language barrier ! I'd Recommend to everyone if you like any tricot songs. Best performance I've seen so far !

tricot Announce European Tour and New Album

Alternative rock band tricot will return to Europe for an eighteen-date tour next spring, and they will release a new double-disc album on December 15th.

Alternative rock band tricot have announced they will be returning to Europe next spring.

The European leg of the band's WALKING x WALKING TOUR 2021-2022 will run from March 30th to April 22nd. The tour comprises eighteen shows across nine countries, beginning with nine dates around Britain. Then, tricot will work their way across mainland Europe as far east as Slovakia before the tour finale in Barcelona.

Elsewhere, tricot will release a new double-disc album on December 15th. All three editions of Jodeki will contain twenty-four tracks, half of which will be instrumentals. These will include recent singles INAI and Summer Night Town .

Japanese rock band tricot announce fifth UK tour in November 2023

Japanese rock band tricot have announced a tour of the United Kingdom in November 2023. This is the UK leg of tricot’s Zang-Neng Tour, which commenced in Japan in January and February this year to mark the release of the band’s latest album, ‘Fudeki’. The album title ‘Fudeki’ means “useless” in Japanese, which is the opposite of their previous album title, ‘Jodeki’ (“excellent”). The tour name Zang-Neng is a reading of the Japanese phrase meaning “that’s too bad”, a title chosen by vocalist Ikkyu Nakajima as an extension to the album title ‘Fudeki’.

During tricot’s tour of Europe and the UK last fall, they performed 20 shows in 10 countries, with sold-out shows in London, Manchester, Paris, Belgium and Germany. What kind of performances can we expect when tricot return to the UK for 13 dates, a year after their previous tour? Alternative rock band tricot will be returning to Europe for a tour in the spring of 2022. The band announced this alongside the announcement of a new album, titled Jodeki , to be released on 15 December. The album will be consisting of 2 discs filled with 24 tracks, including BAKURO and Inai .

The upcoming European tour is part of the WALKING x WALKING TOUR 2021-2022 , starting with a tour through Japan in December, January and February. In March, tricot will start touring through the United Kingdom, then hop over the pond and perform in 9 other European countries with the tour finale set in Spain. Tickets are available for (most) shows.

tricot announce new album 'Jodeki', WALKING x WALKING Japan, Europe, UK tour

tricot are looking forward to good things in the coming months.

The Japanese 'Daihatsumei' rock act unveiled that they will be releasing their first full-length album in 14 months, titled Jodeki , this coming 15 December (Wednesday). tricot are scheduled to drop 'WALKING' off their next record on 20 October (Wednesday).

The 24-track album includes 'INAI' , 'BAKURO' , and 'Dogs and Ducks' . According to a press release, twelve of the tracks will be instrumentals and that the CD + DVD and CD + Blu-ray sets come with footage from their tricot BAKURO headlining concert from last June.

In support of their upcoming offering, tricot will also be embarking on the WALKING x WALKING TOUR 2021-2022 around Japan and across nine countries in Europe and the United Kingdom.

“ tricot ” is a Japanese alternative rock band that was formed in the historical and cultural city of Kyoto on Sep 1, 2010.

The band develops an unusual and distinctive sound that consists of harmonization of pop and emotional vocals with a complex rhythm. The members are not familiar with math rock and such harmonization is not created on purpose.

“tricot” has been to many places around the world and successfully held a total of 109 shows overseas through 3 Asia tours, 2 Europe tours including a supporting act for Pixies in the UK, US tours and UK tours. Their concert events are often sold-out and tricot is active throughout the world as musicians.

Tricot celebrate their ongoing uk and europe tour with the release of new song "aquarium".

‘Aquarium” Digital Jacket Cover

Four-member rock band tricot, who are currently touring 20 towns in 10 countries on their UK/European tour, have released new song ‘Aquarium’.

‘Aquarium’ is a straight-ahead, bright and poppy song with a twist, built on the foundation of tricot’s characteristic unusual time signatures. It is a song about ditching the presumptions around what love and relationships are supposed to be. Curiosity, guilt and other emotions do not necessarily need to have negative connotations, and this idea is expressed through a positive musical arrangement. The lyrics are filled with metaphors and declarations, with lines that roughly translate as “It takes an ugly shape, for real”, “The world is in reverse, and I can’t be trapped by other people’s assumptions”, and “I will unbuckle my armor and hesitate no more” – somewhat unusual phrases that ride an energetic J-rock sound.

A lyric video for ‘Aquarium’ has also been released on tricot’s YouTube channel. Meanwhile, the song has already received airplay on radio stations in the UK such as Good Music Radio and KFM Radio, along with other stations in Germany and the US, creating a strong welcome for the band in each country.

This is tricot’s first overseas tour since their successful shows in the UK in 2018. Performances in London and Amsterdam sold out ahead of the tour, while shows in Belgium and some other places were upgraded to larger venues after tickets sold out.

Fans who attended the concerts on the tour so far have posted excited comments online in various languages, such as “That was the best show of the year”, “It was a technical and incredible performance” and “tricot’s music can’t be beat”.

tricot Announces North American Tour

Back in March, tricot released their new album, “A N D.”  The band has previously played some dates in Europe, but now they’ve set their sights on North America. tricot recently announced a 14 date tour of the United States and Canada. Titled “YATTOKOSA”, the tour starts off in Philadelphia on October 12 and ends on October 29 in Los Angeles. It will then start in Japan in November and continue into next year. Cheapest destinations to see Taylor Swift concerts from 'Eras Tour' abroad

Are you a Florida Swiftie with “Eras Tour” FOMO?

It’s definitely too late to find a ticket to Taylor Swift’s October concerts in Miami for less than $2,000. 

But you can see an “Eras Tour” show in Warsaw, Poland, on Aug. 1, 2024, for about $500 cheaper than the cheapest concert ticket for a Miami show in October (including a roundtrip plane ticket to Poland, from Miami ).

Travel website Islands.com just released a study on the cheapest overseas destinations for seeing Miss Americana on the European leg of her tour. 

To calculate the cheapest overseas shows on Taylor Swift’s “Eras Tour” this summer, Islands.com aggregated data on each city to find the average most affordable concert tickets, the average cost for two days of spending on hotel rooms, meals, drinks and transportation in each city and each city's safety score.

Here’s the Islands.com list of the cheapest shows on the next leg of Taylor Swift’s tour and how much the cheapest plane tickets from Florida to the cheapest European concert are.

Does “The Eras Tour” come to Europe?

Yes! After a wildly successful first run of “The Eras Tour” in the U.S. in 2023, Taylor Swift extended her tour to an international one and will start performing in Europe this summer before returning for more U.S. shows in the fall.

Here’s Islands.com’s list of the Top 10 cheapest places to see Taylor Swift in Europe this summer, including two days’ worth of hotel, food, drink and transportation costs for each city:

• Warsaw, Poland: $443 cheapest concert ticket price, $712 total lowest average cost
• Gelsenkirchen, Germany: $387 cheapest concert ticket price, $749 total lowest average cost
• Hamburg, Germany: $411 cheapest concert ticket price, $903 total lowest average cost
• Stockholm, Sweden: $406 cheapest concert ticket price, $935 total lowest average cost
• Paris, France: $313 cheapest concert ticket price, $971 total lowest average cost
• Munich, Germany: $472 cheapest concert ticket price, $1,000 total lowest average cost
• Lisbon, Portugal: $507 cheapest concert ticket price, $1,028 total lowest average cost
• Lyon, France: $582 cheapest concert ticket price, $1,047 total lowest average cost
• Cardiff, UK: $679 cheapest concert ticket price, $1,061 total lowest average cost
• Vienna , Austria: $496 cheapest concert ticket price, $1,089 total lowest average cost

Does Taylor Swift perform in Poland?

Yes! Taylor Swift will be performing for three nights in Warsaw, from Thursday, Aug. 1, through Saturday, Aug. 3.

The cheapest ticket to see Taylor Swift perform in Warsaw, Poland in August is about $1,500 cheaper than the cheapest ticket to catch one of her Miami shows in October.

As of April, via Google Flights, you can buy a roundtrip plane ticket from Miami to Warsaw (with two layovers) for around $800 .

Add that $800 plane ticket to the around $500 it will cost for a concert ticket and the extra $200 to $300 you’ll spend in two days of visiting Warsaw, and the grand total comes out to a maximum of around $1,600, which is still $400 cheaper than the cheapest ticket to a Miami show.
