A Fun Party Boat Experience in Siesta Key, FL!

I have a big family, with 8 young kids. Joe and Dave did an excellent job of customizing the outing for us. Their knowledge of the area, their perfect portion of attentiveness made for a wonderful memorable outing. We had a great time using the slide, the lily pad, sitting on shore and exploring the water way. I highly recommend.

We had an awesome time on the boat cruise! There were 6 of us and we enjoyed the slide, jumping off the back of the boat, seeing all of the gorgeous houses, listening to music, etc. It was a very memorable experience for our family. Captain Joe was great and really customized the trip for us. Cosmo (the puppy) was the added bonus and super cute! I highly recommend this trip!

My group went out for a 4 hour adventure on Monday June 13, 2022 and it was honestly the highlight of our trip! We will definitely do it again on any future trip to Siesta Key! The kids loved the slide off the back of the boat and everyone enjoyed seeing all of the nice houses and just hanging out in the water. You should for sure book this trip...you will not be disappointed!!!

The entire day was special...My family had a wonderful time and Captain Joe was so easy and fun and made the trip even better....his daughter was a big help and we fell in love with his dog cosmo. My kids (age 7 and 9 had the time of their lives. They loved when the boat docked and they could go down the slide and play with all of the beach toys that Capt. Joe kept throwing in the water. We all loved the day.

The trip with Siesta Funship was hands down amazing. I was able to book two days prior for my sisters bachelorette party. Joe was more than accommodating and made the trip unforgettable. I would highly recommend to anyone down in Siesta or the Sarasota area to book this trip you will not regret. Please say hi to his little puppy Cosmo as well :)

Such a fun time! Loved our time on Siesta funboat. The captain was very personable & made sure to take us to the fun stops & show us all around siesta key. Def would do this again! We spent yesterday on Siesta Funship. It was amazing! The weather was great and Capt. Joe was a great guide. We saw all the beautiful houses on the water, stopped at Lido key to play in the water and on the toys provided by the Funship. On our way home we saw a manta ray and a mother dolphin and her calf! Of course having Cosmo the puppy on board made everyone’s day. We would definitely do this again!

What a fun day with siesta funship! We did the 4 hour tour and had a wonderful time with moms and daughters! Everyone enjoyed the slide (all ages) and all of the water floats provided!! We had a great experience on the Siesta funship with Capt. Joe! We took our 3 girls, 6 year old (twins) and our 4 year old. It was perfect for the kids. Embark on a two hour fun filled sight seeing adventure through the back waters of Siesta Key. Our Tiki Boats are all unique and comfortable. Some are equipped with twin Surfboard bars designed by local artists and others are designed specifically for sandbar adventures. Children on our tours are given an explorers map and a scavenger hunt checklist of the area’s exotic wildlife. The journey begins with exotic birdwatching along the banks of the winding Phillippi Creek. From there we enter the Intercostal Waterway bound for our secret dolphin watching spot we call “The Cove”. Along the way we will travel around beautiful wildlife sanctuaries and under the historic Siesta Dr. Bridge. There’s always a lot to see once we enter the waters of Little Sarasota Bay. About half way through our tour we hop off at “Sea Urchin Island Sand Bar” where you’ll be amazed in all the sea life found under waters surface. Last but not least we arrive to “KoKō Island” An uninhabited mysterious place of great imagination and wonder. Here families can explore the island and get a real sense of what the barrier islands were like 300 years ago. Join LeBarge and a Sarasota Bay Explorers-trained marine biologist on this two-hour cruise and learn about the lifestyle and behavior of our local population of over 160 bottlenose dolphins, as well as manatees (in season). The guide explains their hunting techniques, physical adaptations, and social hierarchy, plus you learn of the effects brought on by humankind and what is being done to protect this magnificent mammal.

Sarasota Bay is the ideal location to observe these intelligent marine mammals. All of our marine biologists are guides with our sister company, Sarasota Bay Explorers, located at Mote Marine Laboratory, to ensure that you receive the latest, most accurate information regarding these marine mammals.

We must meet a minimum passenger count to run the cruise. Reservations are highly recommended. We take reservations for regularly scheduled cruises no more than 3 weeks in advance. All scheduled cruises are subject to change.

Know Before You Go

• Bayfront parking lots and garages are owned, operated, and monitored by the City of Sarasota. Please pay attention to all posted signs and ordinances and allow time for parking upon arrival.
• Times to remember: CHECK-IN begins 1 hour prior to departure time and BOARDING begins 30 minutes prior to departure.
• To ensure we leave on time and keep on schedule all passengers must be on board 5 minutes prior to scheduled departure time OR YOU WILL MISS THE BOAT.

Can you handle large groups?

Yes, we can add a second boat to accommodate groups up to 12. Contact us for details.

What does Private Tour mean?

It’s just you and your guests we don’t mix groups.

Can we bring our own cooler and adult beverages?

Yes, we just ask no red wine or anything that will stain carpet or seats.

What should we bring?

We recommend water shoes, polarized sunglasses, non spray sunscreen, towels, food and drinks.

I have a group of 7 can we just pay for an extra person?

No, the Coast Guard has limited private charters like our to six people max.

I have a group of 7 but one is a child under 3 does he/she count?

Yes, the Coast Guard considers even a one month old child as one passenger, and two five year olds are two passengers. Sorry, it’s not our rule.

Dustin and Seth were laid back, patient instructors. They were both easy to talk to, very friendly and went out of their way to make sure we all had a great experience. Jack started out at Siesta Key, but the weather and wind weren’t ideal for water sports. The next day, they set up another lesson in a beautiful, peaceful spot in Sarasota Bay. At one point , dolphins were playing in the water of Sarasota Bay as he was efoiling nearby. Our son loved foiling. He quickly learned to stand up and surf with instruction from the guys. After watching him surf, I definitely think this is an experience that teens and adults would equally love. We highly recommend setting up a lesson with Dustin and Seth! They carefully picked a nice location for e-foiling, with relatively calm waters. They had one tent setup for themselves, but were kind enough to set up a second tent for my young kids (ages 6 and under) as we didn't think to pack that for our vacation to the beach (future families with young kids, definitely bring your own tent if you think you need that! The e-foiling itself was awesome! I felt like I was surfing on calm water; the battery-powered motor allowed me to speed up despite the calmness of the water.
