Refund Policy

Please note that the refund process may take 2 - 4 weeks due to banking procedures. If the refund is made to the credit card account OR to Bank account, the bank charges would be debited from the refund amount.

Cancellation Policy

Policy Regarding Cancellation / No Show / Early Departure In case of cancellation of tour/travel services due to any avoidable/unavoidable reasons we must be informed in writing. Cancellation charges would be effective from the date we receive letter in writing and cancellation charges would be as follows:

30 days prior to arrival - 10% of the tour cost. 15 days to 29 days prior to arrival - 30% of the tour cost. 07 days to 14 days prior to arrival - 40 % of the tour cost. 02 days to 06 days prior to arrival - 50% of the tour cost. Less than 48 hours or no show - NO REFUND.

In case of peak season - weekends or weekdays (Holi, Diwali, X'Mas & New Year) hotel bookings separate cancellation policy is applicable (which would be advised as and when required).

In case you cancel the trip after commencement refund would be restricted to a limited amount that too would depend on the amount that we would be able to recover from the hoteliers we patronize. For unused hotel accommodation, chartered transportation and missed meals etc. we do not bear any responsibility to refund.

Gir Safari Booking

Gir National Park is one of the major attractions of Gujarat for tourists visiting the state. In order to explore the park, visitors need to do the Gir Safari Booking well in advance.

Located about 43 km from Somnath and 60 km from Junagadh, Gir National Park is known for being the only place with the largest population of Asiatic lions making it a major tourist attraction. This majestic land is spread over an area of  1412 sq km. The exquisite fauna also includes a huge population of wild boar, sambar deer, spotted deer, nilgai, and other carnivorous creatures, including hyenas, wild cats, foxes, and leopards. You will find roughly 300 species wandering in the wilds of Gir National Park .

Safari Booking Procedure

The online Sasan Gir National Park Safari Booking is managed by the state forest department deployed at Gir. The bookings are made considering the rules and regulations of India’s forest department. The entry permits for jeep safari are available online. However, it is always advisable to get the permit well in advance to avoid rush or unavailability. The following information is necessary during the time of booking:

• The full name, age, and sex (as per your ID proof) of every visitor are mandatory.
• Your exact Safari Date and Shift Timing (Early Morning/ Morning/ Afternoon).
• Every traveler’s Identity Card Number (Voter Id, Aadhar Card, Pan Card, Driving license, etc.).
• Pay the full Entry Permit Fee beforehand.

Kindly note that the bookings are non-transferable.

Safari Timing and Prices

For Sasan Gir Safari booking, the entry fee for Indian residents is Rs.800-1000 for up to 6 persons. The extra child fee is Rs. 100 usually and Rs. 125 for festivals/Saturday/Sunday. For NRIs, the entry fee for 6 people on normal days is Rs. 5600-7000. The extra child fee is Rs. 1400 usually and Rs. 1750 for festivals/Saturday/Sunday.

The other charges include the jeep rates which is Rs.1700 per jeep. Hiring a professional camera will cost you a further Rs.200 for Indians and Rs. 1400 for foreigners. Additionally hiring a guide will cost you another Rs.400-700.

To have an unforgettable experience, visit Gir National Park from December to March. The forest opens at 6:45 AM and closes at 9:45 AM. The safari functions from 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM. The forest opens from 3:00 pm – 6:00 pm.

The best way to explore Gir National Park is through an open Jeep Safari ride. The Gir Jungle Trail Safari is one of the zones which is operated by the forest department deployed at Sasan Gir in three shifts. The jeep operates in two shifts which are in the morning and evening respectively. The morning jeep safari timing is from 06:45 AM to 09:45 AM and 08:30 AM to 11:30 Am and the evening slot is from 03:00 to 06:00 PM. You will find Asiatic lions, leopards, and various other wild species, rich flora, and fauna in this region.

Interpretation Zone

To reduce human interference in the main area, an interpretation zone is available at Devalia. Spread over 412 hectares of the fenced area, it represents Gir National Park in a different light. It is inclusive of all flora and fauna and the major wildlife present in the main sanctuary area. This was done to provide tourists with an opportunity to witness wildlife in its natural habitat. This interpretation zone has sambars, chinkaras, wild boars, blue bulls, and spotted deer. A safari in this zone is a treat for wildlife enthusiasts.

Other than Africa, Gir National Park is the only place in the world that houses an Asiatic lion. These majestic lions of Gir measuring 2.75 meters have big tail tassels, bushy elbow tufts, and distinctive belly folds. Gir houses around other 40 mammal species and 425 bird species. The other exquisite mammals include Asiatic wild ass, hyenas, foxes, pygmy woodpeckers, brown fish owls, black bucks, etc. The flora is also quite diverse at Gir National Park. Gir National Park The Heart of Nature

Gir National Park and wildlife sanctuary is situated in Gujarat, Western India. Nice property in Ekta Nagar. Have ample of space to play for kids. There is big garden with play area and swimming pool. This is Pure Veg Property. Food is good. Jain food is also very good. Rooms are neat and clean. We stayed in a room with private garden. There is also outdoor seating in every cottages. In night there is very good lightings. Easy to go to statue of Unity from this resort.

We stayed at this property 1 night, very near to the bus services which take you to the statue of unity. The room nice was small but decent. Breakfast was decent. play area and swimming pool were thoroughly enjoyed by my daughter. They helped us search my husband earphones. Overall wonderful experience

How To Reach Gir Jungle Safari, Sasan

By Road :-  It is around 56 km from Junagadh and approximately 13 km from Sasan village. If you are travelling outside Gujarat, then the two most common bases for visiting are Rajkot (160 km) and Ahmedabad (375 km). The reception centre is located both at Devalia Safari Park and Sinh Sadan Campus, Sasan.

By Rail :-  The nearest railway station is at Sasan village, approximately 13 km from the park. One can travel by train to Junagadh from Rajkot or Ahmedabad and then take a local train to Sasan or make a 55 km road trip. Regular bus and taxi service are also readily available.

By Air :-  The nearest airport is Rajkot which is around 160 km away. Other options are airports at Diu and Ahmedabad.

Gir Entry Fees

There are certain charges you need to pay if you wish to explore the Gir National Park. For Indian visitors, the entry fee is Rs 75 whereas for foreign visitors, it is Rs 100. The vehicle fee for safari is Rs 35, photography fee is Rs 100 and fee for 4 hours of guide service is Rs 50. If tickets to Gir and safari booking are done online, then one has to pay additional payment gateway charges. If one is putting up in famed luxurious resorts like Vanvaso resort, Asiatic Lion lodge, Club Mahindra resort, charges may go up to INR 5000 per jeep safari with 6 persons in a jeep.

Gir Timetable

The safari timings at Gir may be categorized into morning safari timing and evening safari timing. Morning safari timings again can be categorized into early morning safari timing and mid day safari timing. Early morning safari starts at 6am and continues till 9am while midday safari starts from 9.00am and continues up till 12.00 noon. It is best to avail the morning safari time as during that time the chances of spotting the wild animals remains pretty high. Evening safari starts from 3pm and continues till 6pm.

The park has a monsoon break and during that time the park is closed and no safari is allowed though the Devaliya Safari zone remains open year round. The monsoon break starts from mid June to mid October. Each Wednesday of each week the Devaliya safari park is closed and no safari is allowed.

ABOUT ASIATIC LIONS

• Felis leo Bengalensis were founded by Edward Turner Bennett in 1829.
• Felis leo goojratensis written by Walter Smee in 1833. This description was submitted in a meeting of zoological society London. It is based on two skins of maneless from Gujarat.
• Leo asiaticus submitted an essay by Sir William Jardine, 7th Baronet in 1834 for Indian lions.
• Felis leo indicus written by Henri Marie Ducrotay de Blainville in 1843. This report basically were showing the difference between Asiatic lions and other species of lions.

Now a days, the breed of Asiatic lion is also known by his scientific name is Panther leo leo. It was kept in the 2017 because of closeness to morphological and molecular genetic matching with Barbary Lion. Presently Gir Forest have become great home town of Asiatic lions where flourishing 650+ lions while the mission was started to conserved the asiatic lions that time only 20 lions were left in the India. This mission was started with Nawab of Junahgarh and britishiers around 1884 after that first lions census made in 1934 by 287 population of lions.

Some birds are seen very rarely because Gir National Park is a dry deciduous forest therefore the visitors can't see migrating birds all the year. Migrating birds can be seen during winter season which provide them comfort zone to survive. If we talk about local birds of Gir Jungle, it also provides us a very unique view because lots of birds we will not look in our life. such as Vultures (Crested Serpent Eagle, Bonelli’s Eagle, Changeable Hawk-Eagle, Red-Headed Falcon, Imperial Eagle) they are flourishing in 6 breeds, Brown Fish Owl, Rock eagle-owl, Black-Headed Oriole, Pitta Brachyura etc. Along with these birds, lasser false vampire are also seen here. This vampire was looked first time in the 2008. Now it is considered in the list of Gir local birds. Apart from vampire, Alexandrine Parakeet is also counted in the list of local bird that were spotted first time in the 2011.
