Enter Shen who has done a super job. 1 email later, everything was back on track. Hopefully the temperature will be on our side and the car turns out to be a sweet ride for our tour of Iceland. • DenverLarry 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Great tour to see the southern coast of Iceland We took the 2 day southern coast trip with waterfalls, black sand beach, glacier lagoon and touring the ice cave, and are really glad we did. We never would have been to see all of it without the tour, especially since the roads would have been a little tough to drive on due to weather. Our guide, Walter, was very personable and enjoyable to talk to. It is also nice that the bus stops every hour or so to stretch the legs and see the sights. He kept us entertained even when just driving through the flat land areas. The only complaint would be with the bus itself. I am 6' tall and did not have any extra legroom on the bus. • 54alianab 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Raya and Ella are amazing! I purchased an 8-day tour with Guide to Iceland and I really recommend this company if you are planning a trip to Iceland and are not planning to rent a car. They take care of everything for you and their flexibility and cancellation/refund policy is incredible. I wanted to specifically call out Raya and Ella from the support team. Ella helped me book everything for the trip and make changes when my Mom’s itinerary changed. But Raya was also super helpful when my Mom’s flight was delayed by a day and we had to revamp the whole itinerary. Raya stayed on the phone with me for over an hour and went above and beyond to make sure my Mom and I had a great trip and booked all the tours we wanted despite the delay. When I travel to Europe, I will make sure to use Guide to Europe for booking my tours! Thank you! Read more Written 28 March 2024
  • X6023GZlaurentd 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Best partner for our road-trip ! The best partner for a road trip in Iceland. We booked an 8-day road trip with them. They sent us a travel diary with reservations in accommodation which was all very comfortable and of really good quality (Comfort room chosen), the rental vehicle was in very good condition and their partner was accommodating ( Automatic 4x4 vehicle). The road trip went very well with only one activity that was canceled due to weather (snowmobiling on glacier), independent of their fault and they managed to help us by finding a solution and above all by responding within 2 hours by email. This did not spoil our trip and allowed us to take more time in the points of interest. Iceland is magnificent when you are well accompanied! Thanks to guide to Iceland, we were not disappointed! We are French to reassure others 😉 Read more Written 12 March 2024
  • SunSeekerJess 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Great customer service I booked two tours via Guide to Iceland, booking was easy, confirmation sent straight through and all the details I needed were available. Unfortunately, the tour provider emailed me directly and cancelled my tour with less than 24 hours notice and couldn't refund because I'd booked through a 3rd party. I forwarded the cancellation emails on late one evening and by 9am I had a reply letting me know a full refund had been issued. Cannot fault the service received from Guide to Iceland at all, they've been great and super responsive to queries/emails. I wouldn't hesitate to use them again to book any trips! We had four different tour guides and everyone was great and went the extra mile to make sure we had a great experience .We were lucky with the weather. Great communication! • katiehS5499GB 0 contributions 4.0 of 5 bubbles Great guides! We booked both the lava tunnel tour and Epic South Coast Day Tour from Reykjavik to Jokulsarlon Glacier Lagoon tour and both had amazing guides that we loved! Understand that this company books you tours through other companies so we had a tour guide from the lava tunnel site itself and a bus tour through Bustrips Iceland so look for info from those people when looking for specifics on your tour like pick up times. We liked the tours where we met on location the best, but the one where we were picked up was also nice. We received communication the night before about where to go to get picked up and what time to be there and everything worked very smoothly. Read more Written 8 March 2024
  • _rkaa2017 0 contributions 5.0 of 5 bubbles Valet car rental We booked a car from Valet car rental via Guide to Iceland. The only positive thing about the car was low price. The guy who was delivering the car to the airport was half an hour late, there was no direct contact for him, he didn't let us know. There wasn't specified where to wait, so we weren't sure. We had to call Guide to Iceland - they were very prompt and helpful - that was great. We got the car, the guy from the rental just gave us keys and told us to call when returning the car. It was raining and There was zero windshield liquid. The inside of the car was not very clean, the cruise control didn't work. When we were returning the car the guy's phone was disconnected and we had to call Guide to Iceland again - their communication was great. But before everything was sorted out we had to leave the car in the parking lot with the keys to make our flight. Beware Valet car rental. Read more Written 27 February 2024

  • helenn2019 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles CAUTION - DONT BOOK WITH GUIDE TO ICELAND. We never we got picked up - won't refund. Into the Glacier Langjokull & Hraunfossar Waterfalls tour. When did we go? - We DIDN'T!! We were at our bus stop pick up in Reykjavik at 8.15am, 15 mins early. We asked every bus that stopped if it was our pick up only to be told no. We waited until 9.20am in sub zero temperatures. We phoned 3 different numbers only to get a recorded message in Icelandic then got hung up on. Like the previous reviewer we are being given the run around. We paid $513 in November, this was going to be one of our highlights. Extremely disappointed . Read more Written 9 February 2024
  • Sahra E 0 contributions 1.0 of 5 bubbles Mission “ we get you there””. Oh no they don’t… There mission is “we get you there”….. what a joke… The didn’t even pick us up!! We were at the bus stop at 8.15 ( 15 mins earlier than our pick up”. Despite providing photographic evidence of being there, 10 days later they are telling me I failed to board the bus!! They have taken £385 of my money and refusing to reimburse me. Honestly?? If I’m at a bus stop excited about the tour , why on earth would I not board the bus??I’m livid. I have written the about 20 emails now and keep sending my evidence and they are still refusing to provide their GPS evidence that a bus stopped, changing their story about others boarding and the are nothing but thieves. BEWARE Of using GUIDE TO ICELAND!!!! Read more Written 7 February 2024
