Whiskey Myers will be bringing their eclectic, chart-topping Red Dirt and Southern Rock fusion to a variety of states across the US this year, with a range of headlining dates and festival appearances lined up for the fast-emerging band.
Fans of the Texas rockers are undoubtedly excited to see them take the stage at their inaugural country music extravaganza, Wiggy Thump , which takes place on April 15 in their home-state.
Judging by their 2023 setlist so far, they'll be performing an arsenal of hits from across their broad discography at Wiggy Thump and all the shows they have on the books this year.
Here you can find Whiskey Myers’ updated setlist as they embark on their 2023 concert tour.
Whiskey Myers generally get their live performances off to a blistering start with a high-octane rendition of ‘Gasoline’, which originally appeared on the group's 2019 self-titled album.
A number of other fan-favourites from that project have found their way onto Whiskey Myers’ 2023 setlist too, including ‘Bury My Bones’, ‘Die Rockin’’, ‘Glitter Ain't Gold’ and more.
Their most recent release, 2022's Tornillo , has also been enjoying a strong presence at Whiskey Myers’ live shows this year, with ‘John Wayne’, ‘Feet's’ and ‘The Wolf’ all making the cut.
Of course, with the Texan troubadours being the top-tier entertainers they are, you can count on them to always dust off their most popular anthems, from ‘Stone’ to ‘Frogman’ and everything in-between.

In addition to headlining their own sold-out shows from coast to coast at iconic venues such as Red Rocks Amphitheater and Ryman Auditorium, plus performing at marquee festivals Bonnaroo, Stagecoach, Download and more, the six-piece was also personally selected to open The Rolling Stones’ Chicago stadium show in 2019. Their latest self-produced album, Tornillo, available everywhere now via the band’s own Wiggy Thump Records, features the No. 17 most-played Americana song of 2022, “John Wayne,” and follows their fifth studio album, Whiskey Myers, which debuted at No. 1 on both the Country and Americana/Folk sales charts, at No. 2 on the Rock chart and No. 6 on the all-genre Billboard 200 chart (No. 3 among new releases). In total, Whiskey Myers have sold more than 1.5 million albums and amassed over 2 billion streams while earning six RIAA Gold & Platinum certifications as an independent band. Known for their high-energy live show and unique sound, the band praised by Esquire as “the real damn deal” has also earned synch success with features (and an on-screen appearance) in Paramount’s hit show “Yellowstone” as well as Netflix series “What/If,” Angelina Jolie film “Those Who Wish Me Dead” and CBS series “SEAL Team.” USA Today describes their sound as “a riff-heavy blend of Southern rock and gritty country that has earned comparisons to the Allman Brothers Band and Led Zeppelin,” with Rolling Stone noting “it’s the seminal combination of twang and crunchy rock & roll guitars that hits a perfect sweet spot.”

Whiskey Myers Extends 2023 Tour
by Cillea Houghton January 9, 2023, 5:20 pm
Whiskey Myers is expanding their 2023 tour.
Videos by American Songwriter
Ahead of the tour’s kick-off in February, the band has added 15 new dates to their self-titled trek, in addition to the previously announced shows. The new dates begin in May and carry through the end of July. The band visits several states across the south and midwest, including Nashville’s Ascend Amphitheater, The Blue Note in Columbia, Missouri, and the Starlight Theater in Kansas City before wrapping in Billings, Montana, on July 28, bringing the total to 23 cities.
The tour launches on February 16 at the Knoxville Civic Coliseum in Knoxville, Tennessee. Giovannie & The Hired Guns, Rival Sons, and the Weathered Souls are among the opening acts, with other artists expected to be announced.
Whiskey Myers’ latest album, Tornillo, was released in July 2022 and debuted at No. 10 on the Billboard Top Country Albums and Independent Albums charts. It also cracked the top 15 on the Top Rock Albums chart.
“I’ve always been good about keeping my blinders on,” frontman Cody Cannon previously shared with American Songwriter about feeling the pressure of fame. “I don’t pay attention to any of that shit. We’re thankful and it’s life-changing. But as far as all the noise, I kind of keep that out. We’ve always done our thing where we dance to the beat of our drum. We’ve always been good about that. That’s kind of the core of the band.”
“The pressure was on again,” added bandmate John Jeffers about Tornillo . “The pressure was on with the ‘White Album’ (‘Whiskey Myers’) because we’d come off of two (producer) Dave Cobb records. And all of a sudden, we flipped gears and said, ‘Screw it, we’ll produce it ourselves.’ There was pressure there and it worked out. For us to turn around and do it again, it was on us, so we had to bring it to the table.”
Tickets for the new shows go on sale to the public Friday (Jan .13) at 10 a.m. local time.

Whiskey Myers Are Back on the Road! Go Behind the Scenes of the Band's Opening Weekend
The country rockers kicked things back off in Knoxville last week and will play another two nights at Red Rocks in June before joining Eric Church on The Outsiders Revival Tour
On the road again… the Whiskey Myers 2023 Tour kicked off this week in Knoxville, Tallahassee, Augusta, and Savannah. We couldn't have asked for a better way to start the year!
Ahead of the opening run, we set up shop in Austin for a week to fine-tune the set list and make some updates to how we play our songs live. We always try to give the fans a new experience with every tour.
Some songs we don't usually play live have even found their way into the setlist, like "Dogwood," "Calm Before the Storm," "Feets," and CCR's "Fortunate Son."
Ol' Bill (Cody Tate) even covered "Sharp Dressed Man!"
We love having friends on the road with us — had a hell of a time with Rival Sons and The Weathered Souls on this opening run. Even got Brent Cobb to hop up there with us in Georgia!
A true band of brothers right here.
SOLD OUT is a great way to start a tour! We can't wait to see y'all on the road for the rest of the shows this year.

RANKED: Top 25 Whiskey Myers Songs Ahead Of The Release Of Their New Album, ‘Tornillo’
Whiskey Myers week rolls on…
Whiskey Myers’ long awaited upcoming album Tornillo is set to hit streaming platforms this Friday, and if the singles that have already been released are any indication, we’re in for something special.
It’s been close to three years since WM put out their self-titled project Whiskey Myers in 2019. In typical WM fashion, the most recent album featured a diverse collection of tunes ranging from country to full blown rock and roll, highlighted by songs like “Bury My Bones,” “Gasoline,” and “Rolling Stone,” and “Die Rockin” that have all received tens of millions of streams over the last few years.
Back in February, the East Texas rockers announced their next record Tornillo and dropped “John Wayne” as the lead single. Over the next few months, they released singles “Antioch,” “Whole World Gone Crazy,” and “The Wolf,” and now that we are just days away from having access to the full project, anticipation is at an all time high.
If you’re anything like me, and you’re a big Whiskey Myers fan, I’m sure you’ve found yourself throwing even more of their music in the rotation recently as the Tornillo release date nears. As the anticipation strengthens, I thought it’d be a good idea to dive back into WM’s deep catalog and rank my 25 favorite tunes prior to Tornillo.
Now, before people start freaking out about the omission of their favorite song or the order of the ones I’ve listed, it’s important to note that these guys don’t have a single bad song in the entire catalog, and on any given day, especially past the top five, this look could look completely different.
This is just what I’m feeling right now.
Without further ado…
25. “Rolling Stone” – Whiskey Myers (2019)
24. “Home” – Early Morning Shakes (2014)
23. “Different Mold” – Firewater (2011)
22. “Some of Your Love” – Mud (2016)
21. “Gasoline” – Whiskey Myers (2019)
20. “Ballad of a Southern Man” – Firewater (2011)
I know it’s their most popular song, and I understand why. But in a collection of music this great, “Ballad of a Southern Man” just doesn’t seem comparatively all that great to me.
19. “On the River” – Mud (2016)
18. “Bar Guitar and a Honky Tonk Crowd” – Firewater (2011)
17. “Houston County Sky” – Whiskey Myers (2019)
16. “Deep Down in the South” – Mud (2016)
15. “Colloquy” – Early Morning Shakes (2014)
14. “Die Rockin” – Whiskey Myers (2019)
13. “Early Morning Shakes” – Early Morning Shakes (2014)
12. “Guitar Picker” – Firewater (2011)
11. “Bitch” – Whiskey Myers (2019)
10. “Calm Before the Storm” – Firewater (2011)
9. “Lonely East TX Nights” (2008)
8. “Reckoning” – Early Morning Shakes (2014)
7. “Dogwood” – Early Morning Shakes (2014)
6. “Bury My Bones” – Whiskey Myers (2019)
5. “Frogman” – Mud (2016)
4. “Virginia” – Firewater (2011)
3. “Trailer We Call Home” – Mud (2016)
2. “Stone” – Mud (2016)
1. “Broken Window Serenade” – Firewater (2011)
The best song off of one of the best albums in country music. “Broken Window Serenade” is the best Whiskey Myers tune to date.
Honorable Mention – The rest of ‘em.
Whiskey Myers don’t miss…
Tornillo is out this Friday, get ready.

Thursday 1st December. The Dome. Whiskey Myers. It’s back to the Dome for the third time this year and we’re live on Live nation’s YouTube channel. It’s the old gang of Messrs Cade and Berry tonight and we’re looking forward to some good old fashioned Southern rock and roll.
We first saw Whiskey Myers in February supporting Cadillac Three and so were stoked to see them again for a headlining show. I won’t rehearse my previous post reviewing their support slot.
Opening the night with the title track from their 2014 album ‘Early Morning Shakes’ it sets the scene for the evening of no nonsense blistering rock with tracks evenly spread from their last three albums.
Lead singer Cody Cannon whose voice is somewhere between Ryan Bingham and John Fogerty is the perfect front man exuding the right amount of cool to the proceedings.
Tonight’s it’s a battle of guitars in a Fender v Gibson ‘axe off’. It’s Cody Tate on the Fender and John Jeffers on the Gibson. They trade licks and solos all night and while a close run thing Jeffers and his Gibson just edge it. With his flamboyant fret and slide work it’s a real treat.
What I like about Whisky Myers is that they have an authenticity. They are not as raucous as Left Lane Cruiser, not as polished as Blackberry Smoke and not as derivative as Cadillac Three but they take the best bits of all three.
Highlights tonight for me are ‘Hold On’ and ‘Wild Baby Shake me’ and the two hours literally flew by.
Keep on Southern rockin y’all

Whisky Myers are as country as they come and are absolute masters of their sound. Hailing from Texas the group have really begun to stamp their mark on the country scene with their most recent album ‘Early Morning Shakes’ coming into the country charts at number 10. Its on stage though, where this band really starts to shine.
Driven by the incredible voice of front man Cody Cannon, a voice that is splitting at the seams with passion and emotion, the band have no trouble entertaining audiences wherever they go. Handing ballads and rocky numbers with no trouble, the band entertain with their classic sound and brilliant musicianship. There is some quality guitar work on display with soulful solos sliding their way over the thick pocket groove laid down by the rhythm section. Led by Cody’s enigmatic presence and with a confidence and charisma about them, they own whatever stage they are on. If you are after classic country vibes, catchy songs and some great musicians definitely check out Whisky Myers – they are only going to get bigger!
As always, Whiskey Myers delivered an awesome and memorable performance at The National in Richmond, VA. It was a great atmosphere with a very nice and friendly crowd of fans. The opening act of Bishop Dunn was very good, I really enjoyed their performance as well. Easy parking and access the the show. All drinks were priced reasonably and had a wonderful selection of beers to choose from. Beer is my preference.I would, without question, go there again. And I also recommend this place and band to anyone wanting a great time to remember. Thank You so much!!
Great night and I always know the Ritz will be good as it's a great venue in Manchester any how the inbiciels were good for a support act could believe the covered motorhead ace of spades then whiskey Myers came on looking come fident and smashed it with sipping into there big back catalogue then moving into the new stuff but they had the crowd jumping me included love seeing them and every band I like live hope they come back soon but it was a top night with top music and a great atmosphere...
Great show from start to finish.
Door staff were very professional and courteous which was very reassuring given recent events.
Buffalo Summer kicked off proceedings with a lively set warming us all up nicely, well done lads.
As for the main event, wow just wow! So much energy, so tight musically, the 2 plus hours just flew by. Guitars, violin, drums, keyboard, harmonica, vocals, all tight and on point. If you only see one band this year, you'd better make damn sure it's Whiskey Myers.
I was at my first Whiskey Myes Show on 13.5.2019 in Munich.
Location was nice and cosy . Quite unusual Stage that the audience can access on two sides. Support band: The imbecidels was absolutely horrible! I understood they wanted to shock but they were just crap.
Whiskey Myers:
Fantastic musicians all the way through! Guitar duelling at its best! Awesome Voice!
Only sad thing was that Nobody from the band interacted with the People. Esp. Cody was a bit cocky at times...
Great show and great venue. The only complaint I have is that the mic was setup for the lead singer to be very close to it so when they really started rocking out and moving around you'd miss about half the lyrics. I know most all the songs anyway so it didn't bother me that much, but it was something I noticed. I'd say they are definitely worth going to see if you like their sound.
since I moved from Oklahoma I've been waiting to see you guys,I made it to the Wind City Shakes in Chicago this year at Burnham, Harbor.I was in shock to see you on the Nashville Stage and not on the Main stage,in Oklahoma i'd have a hard time getting a ticket to your concert smh,you guys were great.I'm excited to see you n Stoney in Peoria Saturday.
I discovered these guys a year ago. I was so excited to see them again a year later. Their songs are so real and sometimes painful. You can truly see their passion for displaying life thru music. Oh, and the cowbell that makes an appearance in every concert just seals the deal on becoming a lover of Whiskey Meyers.
It was my first ever concert,it was so much fun. It was in a small venue holding about 300.the opening band was awesome. Whiskey myers was amazing.the band played nonstop .even hungout with fiddle player and lead guitarist and the bass player for a few minutes after show .
