Travel consultant makes all the difference

Extremely helpful and diligent travel consultant - Ben Rawson. Phoned back when he said he would. Had information available quickly and efficiently. Was polite and in no sense pushy. Communicated very well.

I recently returned from a trip to Sri Lanka and the Maldives with Imagine Holidays.Sri Lanka was good the Maldives was very disappointing. We were a group of 12 the four married couples went to a five star island the four women were sent to a four star island,no compensation was given. We were sent to the OBLUX/Experience where there is no snorkelling, the beach is lined with broken coral and broken shells. The overwater villas are not over a lagoon but over the ocean where there is a strong current.I did not pay all that money to swim in a pool.I have travelled a lot with groups but have never experienced a group where the women were so disadvantaged. Dear Pam, Thank you for taking the time to reach out to us and for your time on the phone last week, and I would like to extend my sincerest apologies for the less-than-ideal experience you encountered during your recent trip to Sri Lanka and the Maldives with Imagine Holidays. We appreciate your feedback and take your concerns very seriously. Firstly, I want to assure you that the allocation of separate hotels for the group was solely based on availability and not in any way related to the marital status of the guests. We regret any inconvenience this may have caused and understand the importance of group cohesion during travel. I am genuinely sorry to hear about the subpar accommodation and the challenges you faced at OBLUX/Experience in the Maldives. Please know that your feedback has been forwarded to our Operations team for a thorough investigation. We are committed to addressing these issues to ensure they are rectified for future travelers. To express our sincere apologies for the inconvenience you experienced, and as we previously discussed, I have issued you with a $500 voucher, which I hope you can use towards your future travels with Imagine Holidays. We value your patronage and hope to have the opportunity to provide you with an exceptional travel experience in the future. Thank you for bringing these matters to our attention. We are dedicated to continually improving our services, and your feedback is invaluable in helping us achieve this goal. Looking forward to serving you better in the future. Warm regards, Harrison Senior Customer Support Executive

All my enquiries were treated clearly and respectfully to me. My personal contact was Daniel and went the extra mile to be helpful We are quite elderly and sometimes had to ask again for explanation.. it was no trouble to him to repeat things for us… could not fault him.

What made the experience great was the kindness and patience of Justin!!

What made the experience great was the help I received when ringing (often!) to clarify the process of finalising our cruise details , which was new to me. One young man stood out because of the lengths he went to make sure I had everything correct and also that I was aware of the final steps I needed to take in order to make sure everything was complete and I needed to do no more. His name was Justin . He did not rush me and even finished off the last part of our booking for us and emailed it through. Patient, pleasant and efficient. Who could ask for more?

Date of experience : 28 July 2023

Hello Anne, Thank you for taking the time to leave such a wonderful review about the experience you had with one of our Agents. We're extremely happy to hear that Justin provided you with outstanding service and that he made the experience great! Excellent travel agent.

Scott was more than helpful, helping us plan our trip to Japan, able to assist us with our request to leave from Melbourne instead of Sydney. His follow up was excellent.

Date of experience : 22 June 2023

Traveller's information Lacking

Previous travel (whether short or long trips) agent has provided list of what is required in relation to Visa's; Innoculations; etc. Trip just booked - told to check ourselves. Not impressed.

Date of experience : 17 July 2023

Good Afternoon Robyn, Thank you for sharing your feedback and review with us. Your input is valuable, and we sincerely appreciate you taking the time to do so. As a package holiday provider, it's important to clarify that our consultants are not qualified or able to offer advice on specific visa requirements or vaccinations needed for your travel. Nevertheless, we are more than willing to direct you to reliable sources where you can find such information, as we always strive to assist our customers to the best of our abilities. I have reached out to you directly with some further resources you may find useful in confirming those specific details for your travel. Thank you once again for your valuable feedback, Robyn. I am positive that you will have an incredible time during your holiday in Africa next year! Kindest Regards, Harrison Customer Support Supervisor

Alexis and Customer support team

Alexis and Customer support team, Imagine Holidays Bkg reference HPL-17912 Brett and Jean Odgers from 8 to 20 September 2023 along coastal Queensland from Canberra and return. We compliment you all with heartfelt thanks. The arrangements proceeded smoothly without any difficulties. Our expectations were exceeded. We're in our 80s: our only caution was that our Port Douglas accommodation was a little hazardous for us. Villa San Michele is absolutely charming, central and comfortable and truly boutique; however, parking was difficult and negotiating the stairs in the narrow spaces was a bit daunting: there were numerous signs warning 'slippery when wet'. Our experience was altogether fabulous, Cairns especially and ample opportunities to explore the Daintree. Many thanks, Jean and Brett

Date of experience : 08 September 2023

Dear Jean and Brett, Thank you ever so much for taking the time to share your wonderful feedback with us. We're absolutely delighted to hear that your recent holiday experience with us exceeded your expectations. Your kind words about Villa San Michele and its charm are truly appreciated, and we're thrilled to know that you found it central and comfortable. However, we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have faced with the parking situation and the narrow staircases. Your safety and comfort are of paramount importance to us, and we will certainly take your valuable feedback into consideration to improve the overall experience for our guests, particularly those who may have mobility concerns. It's heartening to know that you had a fabulous time exploring Cairns and the Daintree. Our team is dedicated to curating memorable journeys for our cherished guests, and it's reviews like yours that inspire us to continue providing exceptional experiences. Once again, thank you for choosing Imagine Holidays, and we hope to have the privilege of welcoming you back in the near future for another remarkable adventure. Warm regards, Harrison Senior Customer Support Executive

Initially we had to give up our plans as Ben told us all Balcony Cabins were sold except two which were $1000 each dearer and this was too expensive however a couple of days later Ben rang with great news that a Balcony cabin had become available, and albeit being at the stairs, we were happy we could get a Balcony cabin and booked. Booking was quick & easy and Confirmation Invoice came quickly.

Good afternoon, Kathy, Thank you for the lovely 5-star review. It is great to hear a balcony cabin became available and Ben was able to assist you in getting booked . I hope you have a great time cruising on the Pacific Explorer next year. Kindest regards, Alexis Customer Support Executive

It was great to deal with todd for our Cunard queen Victoria cruise in March 2024. Todd was very professional and helpful and did the deals for 6 of us, they were also very happy with Todd. This is a very exciting time looking forward to a special holiday.

Good morning, Denise, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. It is greatly appreciated. I am pleased to hear Todd was able to look after you and assist you in the booking process. It looks like you have booked an amazing Cunard cruise, and I do hope you enjoy your time. Kindest regards, Alexis Customer Support Executive

Terrible experience

Kangaroo Island Murray River Cruise. I filled out countless paperwork advising I was vegetarian however, every evening at dinner all other guests were offered a choice of two meals and I had to ask what I was having. One night I was served essentially a can of chickpeas with chopped capsicum covered in tomato paste and referred to as "Tagine" At the buffet I was offered a choice of either rice or potato wedges! the very last night of my trip I was asked what I could recommend for the chef to make. Many a night was a bread roll for dinner and if I didn't eat eggs for breakfast I would have starved. Final insult: I paid the single premium and was disgusted that on the last day of our trip we were taken off the boat and transported to the airport at 9am for a 5pm flight. All that money to sit in an airport all day is disgraceful!

Date of experience : 20 September 2023

Good Morning Amanda, Thank you for taking the time to provide us with your comments and review. We appreciate all of our passenger feedback as the best opportunity to improve the service we provide. I have followed up further with my Operations team and they have confirmed for me that our travel partners were very aware of your specific dietary requirements, being a vegetarian. I am very sorry to hear that the meals they provided were of such a poor quality, and this is feedback I have passed onto those same travel partners who looked after you in South Australia. I have also taken a look at the time of the transfer at the end of your holiday, and I would like to apologise for the difficulty you experienced being left at Adelaide airport. The advice we received from Sealink - the service providing you with your transfer - was that it would be departing the Port of Mannum at 9:30am, and arriving at Adelaide airport at approximately midday. As your flight was scheduled to depart at 4:30pm - and allowing for two hours for check-in and clearing security - there was unfortunately no window to provide a tour or activity to fill the time you were required to spend waiting. Thank you again for taking the time to provide us with your feedback and comments, and I can assure you they have been brought to the attention of the right people. Kindest Regards, Harrison Senior Customer Support Executive

My friends and I have a booked a trip in 2025 which looks like an amazing trip. However we cannot get travel insurance until February 2024. We have paid a sizable deposit. I feel Imagine should cover us with our deposits in view of the fact we cannot get insurance until February 2024

Good Afternoon Gail, Thank you for your time on the phone earlier today, and for letting us know about your current insurance situation. As we discussed, in the case that your holiday package is not able to go ahead - for example, Princess cancel the cruise sailing - your investment is 100% protected. This usually takes the form of either a new departure date or a future holiday credit. It is only when you specifically are unable to travel that the deposit is non-refundable. Thank you again for your time Gail, and I am sure you will have a fantastic time on your holiday in 2025! Kind Regards, Harrison Customer Support Supervisor

Nathan did a great job

Nathan did a great job. He was very patient and answered my questions well. He then very efficiently organised our holiday and got back to me promptly even though he was very busy with other clients. Thank you Nathan

Great booking experience, excellent pricing.

Received an email regarding a Cunard cruise March 2024. Having only recently completed a 19 day European cruise with Cunard I was keen to get my next booking with Cunard underway. The e-mail referred to exactly the cruise I had been following for the past two weeks. The agent, Kim, whom took my call came back to me within 30 minutes with complete details. (Yes I knew all about this cruise and had these details in front of me from my own enquiries). Her attention to detail covered everything and with little hesitation I booked the cruise. After more than 50 years of travelling this is one of the few times I have used a third party to make a booking with and have to say how impressed I am to date. So why book through a third party? The offer was just that good, and well below anything I could get going direct. Have passed your company name on to other regular travellers I know.

Date of experience : 14 July 2023

Good Morning Brian, Thank you very much for your positive review! We do our best to provide a fantastic booking expereince for all of our guests, and it's great to hear that we have succeeded. I will be sure to pass your kind words onto Kim, and if there is anything else myself or my Customer Support team can do for you please just let us know! Kind Regards, Harrison Customer Support Supervisor

The main attraction, however, is the nightly Penguin Parade and the chance to see the world’s largest colony of Little Penguins return from the sea to their burrows in the sand dunes.

Jump on the ferry at Brisbane’s Holt Street Wharf, and 75 minutes later you’ll be swimming among rainbow-colored fish, whizzing down a sand dune, bathing in a blue lagoon, and hand-feeding wild dolphins. Highlights include the Champagne Pools, where ocean waves crash over the volcanic rock to create a sparkling effect; Dolphin Lake, named because it’s the shape of a dolphin; and the breakwater at Tangalooma, formed of several shipwrecks and an excellent snorkeling spot.</p>
