Manchester City is heading back to the United States.

Pep Guardiola’s side will play four preseason matches in the U.S. this summer , returning stateside after touring Asia in the summer of 2023.

“Our 2022 pre-season visit to the United States was hugely successful, including our sell-out fixture at Lambeau Field, Green Bay and the club’s presence, fan base and status continues to grow significantly within the region,” said Peter Laundy, senior vice president of partnerships at City Football Group.

This summer City will take part in the Soccer Champions Tour, which also includes Real Madrid, Barcelona, Chelsea, and AC Milan.

2024 USA Tour tickets now on sale

We’re heading to the USA again this summer where we’ll face Manchester United and Liverpool as part of our preparations for the 2024/25 season.

First up, we'll play Manchester United at SoFi Stadium, Los Angeles, on July 27. This will be the second time we’ll have faced each other on American soil, with the same fixture last July selling out the 80,000-capacity MetLife Stadium in New Jersey.  

In another high-profile game, we’ll travel to Philadelphia where we’ll play Liverpool at Lincoln Financial Field on July 31. This will be the first time we’ll have played each other in the US.

Our sporting Director, Edu, said: “Our plans for pre-season are taking great shape. Playing against two strong teams in great stadiums in front of so many of our supporters will provide Mikel and the squad with a strong test and great experience ahead of the new season.

Manchester City announce summer tour in U.S.

Manchester City will return to the United States this summer, the Premier League leaders announced on Friday.

New York will host one of City's preseason matches, with further cities and opponents to be announced.

City will play in the International Champions Cup for a second year running after also participating in the U.S. edition of the competition last season.

Among the games they played a year go was the first ever Manchester derby outside England against United in Houston. City also faced Real Madrid in Los Angeles and Tottenham Hotspur in Nashville.

Benjamin Mendy, who is currently recovering from a cruciate knee ligament injury, was in New York to make the announcement.

Speaking at a fan event of the top of the Rockefeller Center, Mendy said: "It's been amazing to come to New York City to announce the tour and give some local fans a real surprise!

"The soccer fans in the United States are so passionate about the game and it's always a pleasure to visit here.

"When I go back to Manchester and tell the players about my trip I know they will be really excited to come here in the summer. We can't wait to play in front of our U.S. fans again."

Earlier, City boss Pep Guardiola said midfielder Jack Harrison, newly signed from NYCFC, was likely to be given a chance during the tour after completing his loan at Middlesbrough.

"He's going on loan and we are going to see at the end of the season," Guardiola said. "In preseason a lot of players will be here with those at the World Cup, and I don't know who will be available.

"After that we'll decide -- I have a little idea who will join us here and in the States, but we'll see."

At your chosen time, we'll meet at the Etihad Campus and start our tour of the Manchester City Stadium.

The first 1 hour 10 minutes of our visit will be spent taking a tour accompanied by an official stadium guide . One of the places we'll visit will be the press room where Pep Guardiola talks to the media. This tour, which is one of the best immersive experiences in the Premier League, also includes a visit to the warm-up area , the tunnel leading to the pitch and the home team's changing room , where a unique audiovisual montage awaits.

In addition, we'll get to watch the main achievements in the history of Manchester City FC  on a 360-degree screen . We'll see the team's proudest moments on a huge scale as if we're in a cinema. This modern device will also show us the incredible goals scored by  Sergio Agüero, David Silva, Raheem Sterling, Yaya Touré and some of the other legends who've worn the Manchester City FC shirt.

After the guided tour of the stadium, you'll take a 20-minute self-guided visit so you can explore the different exhibitions in the stadium.

THE MUSIC MAN National Tour Will Launch January 2026

The production will launch in January 2026. Tour dates will be announced at a later date.

BroadwayWorld has learned that a production of Meredith Willson 's The Music Man will tour across the United States beginning January 2026. The new production will be produced by Big League Productions.

Big League Productions is currently touring The Cher Show, and will also tour The Addams Family in 2025. Other recent national tours include Little Women and A Christmas Story: The Musical.

In a statement exclusively to BroadwayWorld, Executive Producer Daniel Sher said "2026 marks the 250th birthday of the USA and we are thrilled to bring this slice of classic Americana coast to coast starting in January of 2026. Boasting a traditional theatrically robust production, the show’s creative team will revisit the material with modern eyes in realizing a lush Mid-West landscape fully in bloom."

Booking is by Tracey McFarland at Broadway & Beyond Theatricals (BBT).

The Music Man was most recently revived on Broadway for the 2021/2022 season starring Hugh Jackman and Sutton Foster . The production played 358 regular and 46 preview performances

Meredith Willson 's six-time, Tony Award-winning musical comedy has been entertaining audiences since 1957. The Music Man follows fast-talking traveling salesman, Harold Hill, as he cons the people of River City, Iowa, into buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band that he vows to organize – this, despite the fact that he doesn't know a trombone from a treble clef. His plans to skip town with the cash are foiled when he falls for Marian, the librarian, who transforms him into a respectable citizen by curtain's fall.

En ballottage défavorable, les Spurs (5 e ) qui comptent quatre points de retard sur Aston Villa (4 e ), doivent tabler sur deux faux pas des Villans, opposés à Liverpool lundi (21h00), pour pouvoir disputer la C1 l'an prochain.

Enfin Luton, troisième promu cette saison, est également en sursis. Les Hatters, défaits à West Ham (3-1), comptent toujours trois points de retard sur Nottingham Forest, premier non-relégable, qui s'est incliné à domicile en fin d'après-midi face à Chelsea (3-2). Les Londoniens, très en forme en ce moment, restent 7 e mais sont revenus à la hauteur de Newcastle, tenu en échec par Brighton (1-1) et qui ne conserve qu'à la différence de buts sa sixième place qualificative pour la phase de groupe de la prochaine Ligue Europa.

Forest, qui pouvait mathématiquement assurer son maintien la saison prochaine, a mené 2-1 mais Raheem Sterling puis Nicolas Jackson ont offert en deux minutes la victoire aux Blues.

A une journée de la fin de la saison, la Premier League est le seul grand championnat européen à n'avoir toujours pas livré son verdict.

La dernière journée de Bundesliga sera décisive entre l'Union Berlin, Mayence et Cologne, pour connaître l'identité du second relégué (avec Darmstadt) et du barragiste. Les Berlinois recevront Fribourg, Mayence se rendra à Wolsfburg et Cologne ira à Heidenheim. Le « Effzeh » (FC prononcé à l'allemande) est parvenu au meilleur moment de la saison à inverser un retard à la mi-temps (2-1) pour remporter trois points absolument essentiels dans la course au maintien.

Leipzig tenu en échec

L'affaire avait pourtant très mal commencé pour le club rhénan, mené 2 à 0 avant la 20e minute. Mais la réduction du score par Florian Kainz juste avant la pause a redonné espoir aux supporters de Cologne. L'égalisation est venue de Steffen Tigges à la 87e minute, et le but de la victoire dans le temps additionnel par Damion Downs, entré en jeu à la 74e minute.

En haut du classement, Leipzig (64 pts) n'a pu faire mieux qu'un match nul sur sa pelouse contre le Werder Brême (1-1) et peut se retrouver sous la pression de Dortmund (60 pts) en cas de victoire du BVB à Mayence.

Espagne : les remplaçants du Real Madrid se baladent à Grenade

Trois jours après sa qualification in extremis pour la finale de la Ligue des champions contre le Bayern Munich, le Real Madrid, déjà assuré d'être champion d'Espagne, a humilié samedi Grenade (4-0), officiellement relégué en deuxième division. Avec un onze largement remanié, le géant espagnol, sacré dès le week-end dernier pour la 36e fois de son histoire à quatre journées de la fin de la saison, n'a laissé aucune chance au club andalou, 19e de Liga et condamné à la descente avant même le début de la rencontre.

Sans ses attaquants stars Vinicius Junior, Jude Bellingham et Rodrygo, ce sont les habituels remplaçants qui ont fait la différence pour le Real, porté par un joli doublé de l'international marocain Brahim Diaz (49 e , 59 e ) et deux buts du latéral espagnol Fran Garcia (38 e ) et de l'espoir turc Arda Guler (45 e +2).

Villarreal renverse Séville

Dans le choc de cette 35 e journée, Villarreal s'est offert une remontada à la madrilène en renversant le Séville FC (3-2) avec deux buts tardifs du Colombien Yerson Mosquera (84 e ) et du Norvégien Alexander Sorloth (90 e +7), auteur d'un doublé répondant à celui de l'attaquant marocain Youssef En-Nesyri.

Italie : Milan se promène face à Cagliari

L'AC Milan a conforté sa deuxième place en dominant Cagliari (5-1) à San Siro, samedi lors de la 36 e journée du championnat d'Italie. Les Milanais de Stefano Pioli restaient sur quatre matches sans victoire en championnat (3 nuls et 1 défaite). Certains ultras (la Curva Sud) de l'équipe lombarde ont une nouvelle fois fait la grève des encouragements afin de protester contre la direction du club.

Samedi, ils ont marqué par leur capitaine Ismaël Bennacer (36 e ), Christian Pulisic (59 e , 87 e ), Tijjani Reijnders (74 e ) et Rafael Leao (83 e ). L'attaquant français Olivier Giroud a été remplacé à la pause par le Suisse Noah Okafor. Bologne fait un pas vers la Ligue des champions

De son côté, Bologne, grande surprise de la saison, a pris provisoirement la troisième place et fait un pas de plus vers la Ligue des champions en allant s'imposer sur le terrain du champion en titre Naples (2-0). L'équipe de Thiago Motta a marqué par son attaquant suisse Dan Ndoye (9 e ) et son défenseur autrichien Stefan Posch (12 e ), les deux fois de la tête. L'attaquant napolitain Matteo Politano a ensuite manqué un penalty, sifflé pour une faute de Remo Freuler sur Victor Osimhen (21 e ).

Huitième provisoire et virtuel dernier qualifié pour une coupe européenne la saison prochaine, Naples ne devance que d'un point la Fiorentina (9 e ), qui compte deux matches en moins, dont le prochain lundi face à Monza. Et l'affiche Fiorentina-Naples de la 37 e journée s'annonce déjà décisive.

Childish Gambino Has Unveiled A Bunch Of Dates For ‘The New World Tour’ In 2024 And 2025

Today is a big one for Donald Glover fans: He just released Atavista , a new Childish Gambino album, and now he’s announced tour dates, too.

The New World Tour kicks off in August in North America before going to Europe, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand between then and early 2025. Willow will open the North American shows while Amaarae will support for the international dates.

The general on-sale for tickets starts May 17 at 10 a.m. local time. Fans can also sign up for early access via the artist pre-sale, and there’s an exclusive American Express pre-sale as well for North American, Australian, and select UK dates. The start times of those pre-sales vary by market, so find more information about tickets via the tour website .
