KSRTC’s latest budget tour takes you to some top forest spots in Kerala

With each budget tourism package of the Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) attracting a huge response, the public carrier is introducing more interesting schedules connecting new travel destinations. The latest in the list is a tour of Bhoothathankettu, Thattekkad, Pooyamkutty and Inchathotty from Kottayam depot. This trip would take travellers close to nature as it covers some of the major forest tourism destinations in Kerala.

According to the schedule announced by the Budget Tourism Cell of the KSRTC which operates the special tourist services, the first bus to these forest destinations will start at 7:30 am on April 16 from Kottayam KSRTC bus stand. Apart from enjoying the stunning greenery at Bhoothathankettu, travellers booking the journey can go on a one-hour boating trip at Thattekkad and cross the hanging bridge at Inchathotty, which is among the longest such structure in Kerala. After covering these spots, the bus is scheduled to arrive back at Kottayam bus stand by 8pm the same day.

I have full experience for describe Quick Cochin Munnar Thekkady Alleppy Kovalam 8 Days Tour and I have to say it was an amazing experience. The tour was well-planned and organized, allowing us to cover all the major attractions in these beautiful destinations in just 8 days. The tour started in Cochin, also known as the 'Queen of the Arabian Sea'. We were greeted by our friendly tour guide at the airport who gave us a warm welcome and briefed us about the itinerary for the next 8 days. We were then taken to our hotel in Cochin, which was located in a prime location with easy access to the popular tourist spots. The next day, we visited the famous Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace, which was built by the Portuguese in the 16th century. The intricate architecture and beautiful murals inside the palace were a treat to the eyes. We also visited the Jewish Synagogue, the oldest active synagogue in the Commonwealth of Nations. Next, we headed to Munnar, a picturesque hill station famous for its tea plantations. The scenic drive to Munnar was breathtaking, with stunning views of the Western Ghats. We visited the Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and the Tea Museum where we learned about the process of tea-making and got to taste different varieties of tea. Thekkady was our next stop, where we went for a thrilling jungle safari in the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. We were lucky enough to spot elephants, deer, and various species of birds. Thekkady is also famous for its spice plantations, and we got to see how different spices are grown and processed. Alleppey, also known as the 'Venice of the East', was one of the highlights of the tour. We stayed in a houseboat and cruised along the backwaters, enjoying the serene surroundings and delicious local food. It was a unique experience that I will never forget. The tour ended in Kovalam, a beautiful beach town famous for its white sandy beaches and clear blue waters. We spent our days relaxing on the beach and indulging in various water sports activities. Quick Cochin Munnar Thekkady Alleppy Kovalam 8 Days Tour was an unforgettable experience. The accommodations provided were comfortable, and the meals included in the tour were delicious. Exotic Kerala Tour (Coconut Holiday Of India)

Kerala is beautiful, very scenic and the people are generally very friendly. Other than in Cochin we really didn’t have a guide, just a driver. Our driver changed during the tour, in all we had three drivers. None of the drivers were very informative about what we were doing or gave us information about the sights. The itinerary varied considerably from the one we were given prior to the trip, although most of the major sites were visited, but not necessarily on the day specified. The highlight of the trip was the house boat on the backwaters. This was fabulous as was the food provided. Most of the other hotels were dated and could not be recommended.

Relaxing kerala tour ( Cochin Munnar Alleppy Cochin)

The Relaxing Kerala tour from Cochin to Munnar, Alleppy, and back to Cochin. It was an amazing tour that provided me with the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure. The tour started in Cochin, which provided a great introduction to the culture and history of Kerala. We had the opportunity to see and explore the main attractions of the city, such as the Chinese Fishing Nets, Dutch Palace, St. Francis Church, and the Jewish Synagogue. We also had the chance to visit the local spice markets and take a sunset cruise in the harbor. The tour then continued to Munnar, where we got to enjoy some of the most breathtaking views of the Western Ghats. We took a jeep safari to the top of the hills, which provided us with some amazing views of the surrounding tea plantations. We also went on a guided trek through the hills, where we got to explore some of the local wildlife and vegetation. After Munnar, we headed to Alleppy, where we had the chance to take a houseboat cruise on the backwaters. This was an incredibly relaxing experience, as we were able to take in the beautiful scenery and spot many birds and other forms of wildlife. Overall, I could not have asked for a better experience. The tour provided me with the perfect mix of relaxation and adventure, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a unique and memorable holiday experience. The best of Kerala in 9 days with idyllic houseboat and relax

That was our second time in India, we visited the south of the country focusing on Kerala. Thanks to this tour operator and their brilliant driver we saw beautiful places and experienced memorable moments. Houseboat in Allepay was beyond our expectations , the cruise was extremely relaxing and gave us an opportunity to observe birds and local villages. We even had an ayurvedic massage when the boat made a break. The nature of Kerala is fantastic and beautiful. We highly recommend this experience and this travel agent.

I had a great time in Kerala. I loved the scenery, the culture, and most of all, the people. Our driver, Mr. Sibu, was terrific. I'd love to come back to Kerala and have him as my driver again. The guides in Kochi and Munnar were also great—they were knowledgeable and flexible. We weren't too happy with the initial boat we were given for our Backwater tour, but the company quickly changed us to another boat, which was great. The hotels were all good and the staff were very helpful. All in all, it was a wonderful experience.

I have full experience for describe Quick Cochin Munnar Thekkady Alleppy Kovalam 8 Days Tour and I have to say it was an amazing experience. The tour was well-planned and organized, allowing us to cover all the major attractions in these beautiful destinations in just 8 days. The tour started in Cochin, also known as the 'Queen of the Arabian Sea'. We were greeted by our friendly tour guide at the airport who gave us a warm welcome and briefed us about the itinerary for the next 8 days. We were then taken to our hotel in Cochin, which was located in a prime location with easy access to the popular tourist spots. The next day, we visited the famous Mattancherry Palace, also known as the Dutch Palace, which was built by the Portuguese in the 16th century. The intricate architecture and beautiful murals inside the palace were a treat to the eyes. We also visited the Jewish Synagogue, the oldest active synagogue in the Commonwealth of Nations. Next, we headed to Munnar, a picturesque hill station famous for its tea plantations. The scenic drive to Munnar was breathtaking, with stunning views of the Western Ghats. We visited the Mattupetty Dam, Echo Point, and the Tea Museum where we learned about the process of tea-making and got to taste different varieties of tea. Thekkady was our next stop, where we went for a thrilling jungle safari in the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. We were lucky enough to spot elephants, deer, and various species of birds. Thekkady is also famous for its spice plantations, and we got to see how different spices are grown and processed. Alleppey, also known as the 'Venice of the East', was one of the highlights of the tour. We stayed in a houseboat and cruised along the backwaters, enjoying the serene surroundings and delicious local food. It was a unique experience that I will never forget. The tour ended in Kovalam, a beautiful beach town famous for its white sandy beaches and clear blue waters. We spent our days relaxing on the beach and indulging in various water sports activities. Quick Cochin Munnar Thekkady Alleppy Kovalam 8 Days Tour was an unforgettable experience. The accommodations provided were comfortable, and the meals included in the tour were delicious. The tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly, making the whole experience even more enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to explore the best of Kerala in a short amount of time.

Overall you provided good transport & Hotels . Excellent guides at Munnar Tea Plantations and other sites. Our only disappointed was a non English speaking driver who couldn’t arrange tea or toilet breaks unless we requested , However didn’t spoil a fantastic experience, thank you

All went smoothly, good srandard of accommodation and flexibility in the itinerary. Driver spoke reasonable English so we were able to communicate and he made some suggestions which were appreciated. Houseboat was relaxing, great crew and experience.

The Kerala State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) has rolled out open double decker buses for tourists who visit the capital city. The seats inside the bus are arranged in such a way that it is convenient for the tourists to get glimpses of the evening and night views of the city. As a launch offer, the fee for day and night trips is fixed at Rs 200 each. If you want to book both day and night trips, you need to pay only Rs 350. After the initial offer, Rs 250 will be charged for day and night trips each, and it would be ?400 for day and night trips together. The night service will be held connecting Padmanabhaswamy Temple, Secretariat, Legislative Assembly, Museum, Kanakakunnu Palace, Vellayambalam, Kovalam and Lulu Mall. Kerala is naturally blessed with greenery and exotic beauty. The backwaters, beaches, ecotourism spots, and hill stations have earned it a top place in the popular tourist places in the country. Kerala is a small state where you do not need much time to travel from one place to another. Most of these places are reachable by state RTC buses as well. You can easily make Kerala RTC online booking for any journey from one district to another and find another Kerala RTC bus for the local routes. Here you will see the ten most important places in Kerala that you visit by RTC buses. 

Thiruvananthapuram

Starting from the south, one of the most famous places in Kerala is the capital city. Apart from the various interesting places such as museums, palaces, and beaches, you can also visit the famous Sree Padmanabhaswamy Temple on Kerala RTC routes or by local buses. There is also a double-decker bus tour of Thiruvananthapuram operated by Kerala RTC. The cost of the tour is INR 250 per person. The bus passes through most of the major tourist places in the city.

Gavi is a small Pathanamthitta village with picturesque views, greenery, and a base for adventure seekers. People use this palace as a base camp for trekking, birdwatching, and wildlife watching. Boating on the Gavi Lake is another popular thing to do here. You can get an RTC bus from Thiruvananthapuram to Vandiperiyar and from there to Gavi. 

The coastal district of Alappuzha is right on the way of the KSRTC routes, so you can easily reach here. Most beaches in Alappuzha are near the highway, and so is one of the famous Ayurvedic centers. Alappuzha beach, Marari Beach, Thumpoly Beach, Punnapra Beach, Thottappally Beach, etc., are other beaches. You can also enjoy a houseboat tour at Vembanad Lake. 

Famous for the backwaters, Kumarakom is one of the must-visit places in Kerala. There are plenty of buses to this place from Kottayam, Ernakulam, Alappuzha, Thiruvananthapuram, etc. You can make Kerala RTC online booking to these places and then catch a local bus to reach Kumarakom. The buses will reach the Kerala RTC bus depot. You can get auto rickshaws from there to reach your destinations. 

The famous hill station Munnar does not need an introduction. There are plenty of buses available to Munnar from many parts of Kerala, especially from Kottayam, Ernakulam, Kothamangalam, etc. When you travel by a Kerala RTC bus, you can enjoy the scenic route rather than concentrate on driving. Munnar Hill viewpoint, Mattupetty dam, and other interesting places are also on the bus route. 

The Queen of the Arabian Sea used to be a Portuguese colony, then a Dutch colony, and finally a British colony. This has made it an important place in Kerala that has several monuments left by them. You can reach Mattancherry, Fort Kochi, and other parts of Kochi by local RTC buses from Ernakulam. Kerala RTC online booking will be available only to the main city. You need to catch the local bus to Fort Kochi to reach Mattancherry. 

Athirapally waterfalls

Athirapally, waterfalls, the famous waterfalls that have been a part of major movies, are reachable by an RTC bus. You can reach Thrissur from neighboring states and then catch the local bus from there or from Chalakudy to the waterfalls. Any bus from Thrissur towards Ernakulam, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Thiruvananthapuram, etc will pass through CHalakudy, from where you will get local buses more frequently. 

Vadakkunnathan Temple

Vadakkunnathan Temple is a centuries-old temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. The architecture of the temple is famous, and so is the small museum of art inside the temple that displays murals. The temple ground is where the famous Thrissur Pooram, with 30 decked-up elephants, happens annually. The temple is in the city and is reachable by Kerala RTC bus, local or interstate. 

Kozhikode is a coastal city and the largest urban area of Kerala. Kerala RTC buses from all parts of Kerala and Karnataka reach here. You can easily make a Kerala RTC online ticket booking to reach here. Once you get to the city depot, you can catch an auto rickshaw to go around the famous places. Kappad Beach, where Vasco Da Gama arrived, Kozhikode beach, Beypore beach etc are some of the must-visit places. It would help if You also had a Kozhikode biryani and halwa to get the local taste. 

This is a medieval fort made in the 16th century in Kasargod, the last district of Kerala. This was a military station of Tipu Sultan. Today, only the ruins of the fort exist, but it gives some of the best picturesque views of the Arabian Sea. The fort has also been the location of a song in Bombay’s movie. The fort is 15 km away from Kasargod. You may catch a local bus, cab, or auto rickshaw to reach there. Kerala RTC buses are available to Kasargod from most other districts and Karnataka.
