Ikoninen laulaja-lauluntekijä Nick Cave palaa Suomeen tulevana kesänä. Maailman rakastetuimpiin ja arvostetuimpiin artisteihin lukeutuva monilahjakkuus esiintyy soolokonsertissa Helsingin Musiikkitalolla tiistaina 25. kesäkuuta. Konsertissa on luvassa klassikkohittejä neljä vuosikymmentä kattavan uran varrelta basisti Colin Greenwoodin säestämänä. Lipunmyynti käynnistyy Musiikkitalon verkkosivuilla perjantaina 12. huhtikuuta klo 10.

Muusikkona, kirjailijana, näyttelijänä ja kuvataiteilijana ansioitunut Nick Cave kohosi kansainväliseen suursuosioon vuonna 1984 Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds -yhtyeen From Her To Eternity -debyytin saattelemana. Näkemyksellisesti tummasävyisen rockin ja post-punkin rajapinnalla operoivan musiikintekijän monitahoiset sanoitukset ja tunteisiin pureutuvat kappaleet puhuttelevat kuulijoita jo useammassa sukupolvessa. Ainutlaatuisen karismaattisena live-esiintyjänä mainetta kerännyt australialaisartisti on julkaissut menestyksekkään uransa aikana luotsaamansa Bad Seedsin kanssa yhteensä 17 studioalbumia, joille on luvassa jatkoa elokuussa ilmestyvän Wild God -albumin julkaisun myötä.

Yhdessä Radioheadin basistina sekä kirjoittajana ja valokuvaajana tunnetun Colin Greenwoodin kanssa toteuttu soolokiertue on kerännyt ylistäviä arvioita Yhdysvalloissa. Harvinaislaatuinen kiertue nähdään Helsingin lisäksi tällä kertaa Australiassa sekä valikoiduissa Euroopan-maissa.

Loppuunmyydyille saleille kautta maailman esiintyvä Nick Cave hurmasi suomalaisyleisön edellisen kerran vuoden 2022 Flow-festivaalilla unohtamatta hetkessä loppuunmyytyjä Conversations with Nick Cave -konsertteja vuonna 2019.

Lippujen käyttäminen kilpailu- tai arvontapalkintoina on kielletty ilman tapahtumajärjestäjän lupaa.

NIMETYT LIPUT Konsertissa on nimetyt liput. Kaikki saman tilauksen liput nimetään ostajan mukaan eli lippuihin tulostuu ostajan nimi. Koko seurueen on saavuttava konserttiin yhtä aikaa ostajan kanssa. Sisäänpääsyn yhteydessä lipussa lukevan nimen tulee täsmätä kuvallisen henkilöllisyystodistuksen kanssa.

Tämä tarkoittaa: kun ostat lippuja, jokaiseen lippuun tulostuu sinun nimesi. Kaikkien seurueesi jäsenten (max 6 lippua/ asiakas) tulee saapua tapahtumaan samaan aikaan kanssasi. Tapahtumajärjestäjällä ja tapahtumapaikalla on oikeus tarkistaa henkilöllisyytesi sisäänpääsyn yhteydessä.

LIPPUJEN OSTAMINEN LAHJAKSI Mikäli saavut itse tapahtumaan lahjansaajan seurassa, voit ostaa liput omalla nimelläsi. Jos et ole saapumassa tapahtumaan lahjansaajan kanssa, tulee rekisteröinnin yhteydessä rekisteröityä lahjansaajan etunimellä ja sukunimellä, jotta lippuun tulostuu hänen nimi.

LIPPUJEN OSTAMINEN KULTTUURIEDUILLA Musiikkitalon verkkokaupassa liput voi maksaa Smartumilla ja E-passilla. Musiikkitalon myyntipisteellä Smartumin ja E-passin lisäksi käytössä on Edenred.

Mikäli ostat lippusi verkkokaupan kautta, huomioithan, että ostoskorissa voi olla vain 1 lippu, jotta järjestelmä tarjoaa Smartumia maksutavaksi. Tämä sen takia, että kulttuuriedut ovat henkilökohtaisia.

LIPPUJEN TOIMITUS Estääksemme luvatonta lippujen jälleenmyyntiä, tässä tapahtumassa on käytössä viivästetty lippujen toimitus. Sähköiset lippusi ovat ladattavissa vasta lähempänä tapahtumaa, 11.6.2024 alkaen. Saat ladattua pdf-liput klikkaamalla oston yhteydessä sähköpostiisi toimitetun tilausvahvistuksen ”Liput” – painiketta.

NIMENVAIHTO LIPPUUN Kunhan henkilö, jonka nimi on printattu lippuun, on mukana, koko seurue pääsee sisään. Jos olet estynyt osallistumasta tapahtumaan, voit vaihtaa nimen lippuun yhden kerran Musiikkitalon lipunmyynnin asiakaspalvelun kautta. Nimen vaihtaminen on mahdollista 22.4. alkaen. Lippua ei saa myydä alkuperäistä hintaa kalliimmalla eteenpäin. Lippusi mitätöidään välittömästi mikäli myyt tai yrität myydä lippusi alkuperäistä hintaa kalliimmalla hinnalla.

AVUSTAJAKÄYTÄNNÖT Avustaja pääsee ilmaiseksi tapahtumaan avustettavan seurassa. Avustajan tarve tulee todistaa tapahtuman ovella esim. EU:n vammaiskorttia näyttämällä.

Pyörätuoliliput: Voit ostaa lippusi Musiikkitalon verkkokaupan kautta. Pyörätuolilippuun sisältyy avustajan paikka. Avustajalle ei tulostu omaa lippua, vaan hän pääsee tapahtumaan yhdessä pyörätuolilipun omistajan kanssa. Huomioithan, että pyörätuolilippuja on myynnissä rajoitettu määrä. Verkkokaupassa ei ole mahdollista valita samaan tilaukseen sekä pyörätuolilippua että peruslippua. Jos siis seurueessasi joku tarvitsee peruslipun ja joku toinen pyörätuolilipun, tulee nämä liput ostaa kahdessa eri tilauksessa.

Muut avustajaa tarvitsevat: Avustajalle tulee varata oma lippu, voit ostaa lippusi ja ilmaisen avustajalipun Musiikkitalon myyntipisteestä. Verkkokaupan kautta ei saa ostettua ilmaista avustajalippua, voit kuitenkin ostaa verkkokaupan kautta kaksi perushintaista lippua ja hakea Musiikkitalolta hyvitystä avustajanlipusta seuraavasti:

LIPUNMYYNNIN KÄYTTÖEHDOT: 1. Liput ovat pdf-lippuja, jotka toimitetaan vasta lähempänä tapahtumaa. 2. Saat ladattua pdf-lippusi 11.6.2024 alkaen klikkaamalla oston yhteydessä sähköpostiisi toimitetun tilausvahvistuksen “Liput”-painiketta. 3. Saapuessasi ryhmässä, pitää lippujen ostajan (eli kenen nimi lukee lipuissa) olla läsnä, jotta koko ryhmä pääsee konserttiin sisälle. Koko ryhmän tulee saapua konserttiin yhtä aikaa. 4. Jotta lipuilla pääsee konserttialueelle sisään, lippujen ostajalla tulee olla lipun lisäksi mukanaan kaikki seuraavat asiat: i) Kuvallinen henkilötodistus (ajokortti, passi, virallinen henkilökortti) ii) Tilausvahvistussähköposti 5. Ostamasi lippu muodostaa henkilökohtaisen lisenssin, joka on kaikissa tilanteissa promoottorin omistama ja peruutettavissa. 6. Konserttijärjestäjä myy liput suoraan sinulle, kuluttaja-asiakkaalle. Kaikki liput, jotka on ostettu luvattomasti yritysten toimesta tai lippujen myyntiehtoja rikkomalla mitätöidään. Hyväksymällä nämä ehdot vahvistat, että olet kuluttaja-asiakas. 7. Jos olet estynyt osallistumasta tapahtumaan, voit vaihtaa nimen lippuun yhden kerran Musiikkitalon lipunmyynnin asiakaspalvelun kautta. Nimen vaihtaminen on mahdollista 22.4. alkaen. Ohjeita lipun ostamiseen: 1. Klikkaa lippukauppaan 2. Linkkiin avautuu odotushuone 20 minuuttia ennen myynnin alkamista. Odotushuoneesta siirrytään jonotustilaan satunnaisessa järjestyksessä. Odota sulkematta sivua. 3. Jonotustila aktivoituu samalla sivulla automaattisesti klo 10. Ostajat siirretään jonosta lipun ostoon jonotusjärjestyksessä. Älä päivitä sivua tai sulje ikkunaa. 4. Valitse lippujen määrä (ostorajoitus 6 / asiakas) ja mahdollinen hintakategoria. Järjestelmä valitsee sinulle parhaat vapaana olevat paikat kyseisessä hintakategoriassa ja ilmoittaa, mikäli lippuja löytyy. Mikäli lippuja ei löydy, voit kokeilla toista hintakategoriaa. 5. Täytä tietosi. Voit halutessasi luoda samalla myös asiakastilin. Konsertissa on nimetyt liput ja kaikki saman tilauksen liput nimetään ostajan mukaan. Tällöin koko seurueen on saavuttava konserttiin samaan aikaan. Lippujen ostajan henkilöllisyys tarkastetaan ovella. 6. Valitse maksutapa, hyväksy käyttöehdot ja siirry maksamaan Seuraava-painikkeesta. Mikäli haluat maksaa kulttuurieduilla (verkossa E-passi tai Smartum), voit ostaa vain yhden lipun kerrallaan. 7. Viimeistele tilaus maksamalla ostos valitsemallasi maksutavalla. 8. Maksamisen jälkeen saat sähköpostiisi tilausvahvistuksen. Luvattoman jälleenmyynnin estämiseksi liput muodostuvat tilausvahvistuksessa olevan linkin taakse vasta lähempänä konserttia alkaen 11.6.

Lippusi paikkamerkinnästä näet reitin paikallesi. Ovinumero kertoo, mistä ovesta sinun tulee saapua saliin, ja katsomot on merkitty kirjaimin. Pyörätuolipaikat ovat sisäänkäyntien tasolla. Eikä huolta, jos salimme ei ole sinulle ennestään tuttu: henkilökuntamme ohjaa sinut oikeaan katsomoon.

Huomioithan, että Konserttisalin portaat ovat jyrkät ja sali syvä. Mikäli portaiden käveleminen tuottaa vaikeuksia, suosittelemme valitsemaan paikat mahdollisimman läheltä ovia 2–7. Portaita on eniten paikoille, jotka sijaitsevat lähimpänä lavaa.

Ulkovaatteet ja suuret kantamukset on jätettävä naulakkoon. Naulakkomaksu on 2 euroa. Maksaa voi käteisellä tai kortilla. Naulakon voi maksaa myös etukäteen lipunoston yhteydessä.

Myöhästyminen

Myöhästyneet pääsevät sisään useimmiten seuraavilla taputuksilla tai viimeistään väliajalla.

Itse konserttia ei pääsääntöisesti saa kuvata, mutta ennen konserttia, taputuksilla ja konsertin jälkeen kuvaaminen on sallittua. Konserttijärjestäjällä saattaa olla omia, tarkempia ohjeistuksia.

Pukeutuminen

Musiikkitalossa ei ole yhtikäs mitään pukeutumisohjeistusta, olet tervetullut juuri sellaisena kuin olet. Vältä kuitenkin voimakasta hajusteiden käyttöä, jotta myös astmaatikot ja hajusteyliherkät voivat nauttia konsertista. Musiikkitalon konserttisalien lattiat ovat herkkiä naarmuuntumiselle, tästä syystä konserttisaleihin ei saa tulla nastakengillä.

Esteettömyys

Musiikkitalo on esteetön ja kynnyksetön. 

Konserttisalissa esteettömät paikat ja pyörätuolipaikat sijaitsevat permannon ylätasanteella lähellä sisäänkäyntejä. Valtaosaan tapahtumista on saatavissa maksuttomia avustajapaikkoja. 

Konserttisalissa muille kun esteettömille paikoille on paljon portaita. Mikäli portaiden käveleminen tuottaa vaikeuksia, suosittelemme valitsemaan paikat mahdollisimman läheltä ovia 2–7. 

Jokaisessa kerroksessa on esteetön wc. Opasteemme ja porraskaiteemme ovat kohomerkittyjä, ja lattioissa kulkevat ohjauslistat. Induktiosilmukat ovat käytössä kaikissa saleissa. Opaskoirat ovat tervetulleita taloon.

Nicholas Edward “Nick” Cave (Born 22 September 1957) is musician, singer-songwriter, published author and actor from Victoria, Australia. Cave is known for his intense and dark lyrical content.

Cave grew up in a small country town in Australia, and attended a boarding school in Melbourne. He studied Fine Art and claims painting was his first passion, before he dropped out of art school to pursue his musical ambitions. Cave’s father died in a car crash when he was 19, an event that he has stated caused “a vacuum” in his life.

After initially forming the moderately Goth punk band The Birthday Party with school friends, Cave, who had garnered a reputation for his outlandish live performance with the band, went on to form Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, taking some members of the now disbanded old group with him.

It was with the Bad Seeds that Cave was propelled into stardom, with the bands experimentation with various rock and punk genres, mixed with Cave’s gothic styling’s and brooding emotional tone, contributing to their growing success and fan base.

Following on from the band’s debut album release in 1984 “From Her To Eternity”, the Bad Seeds garnered critical acclaim for practically all 10 of the studio albums they released up till 1997, when Cave decided to put the band on hiatus due to his drug and alcohol addictions.

The band returned triumphantly in 2001 with “No More Shall We Part” and have never looked back since, releasing a further four albums since, such as the well received garage rock outing, “Dig Lazarus Dig!!!”

Nick Cave is also no stranger to the movie business, having made cameo-acting appearances in the motion pictures “Wings of Desire” and “Jonny Suede” alongside Brad Pitt. He has also written the soundtrack for various movies, such as “The Assassination of Jesse James” and “Lawless”, the latter of which he co-wrote the screenplay for. His published writings vary from gothic novels such “Ant the Ass saw the Angel”, released in 1989, to rock biographies and lyric books.

Cave has received multiple awards during his career, such as the MTV Europe Music Award for Best Male, and a MOJO award for Song of the Year in 2011, the same year in which he was inducted to the ARIA Hall of Fame.

So finally we get to see Nick Cave and my continued love hate relationship with the Royal Albert Hall. Spectacular interior, people dancing as if little cameos in their own boxes, people standing up in the gods looking down, the domed ceiling with the acoustic dishes hanging down, set against still por acoustics, the snare drum bouncing off the rear.

Given that the other half was third in the queue at the RAH when they first went on sale the seats secured were not as good as I had hoped for, but at least NC sat at the grand piano facing us, but when he left the piano stool and confronted the audience, the powerful side light beamed straight into our eyes. The RAH has crap lighting.

For the first time ever i had the ability to purchase a recording og the gig directly after, which during a 3 and a half hour trip to London and back a couple of days later proved worthwhile listening.

This was, and rather appropriately, a gig aimed at the location, ballads, laments, love songs with Cave proving to be probably the greatest living post modern crooner in the business. Gone was the violent/disturbing/searing Bad Seed’s approach, a request for Stagger Lee, and I would have liked to hear it too, was rather brutally dismissed by Cave, (‘you might as well fuck off now’), although he did apologise immediately. No it was not going to be one of those gigs, a more suitable location would be required for that side of his and the full Bad Seed’s persona.

Unlike the weak bladdered, in constant need of a drink fellow audience members (another big grip for the RAH) who kept on getting up and down, passing by so we all had to shift (although swivel seats helped) with little regard to all those they were disturbing. And to the two pratts behind us who constantly chatted through numbers until those around started to complain to their faces. The guy next to me got up and started to go over the seat to get at them, thought he was going to deck them, Cave’s relationship with the audience could not have been better (the fuck off now was really a joke). He got down in with them, bought three up on stage for a group hug and even had a basic duet with one big guy who obviously knew every word. Cave was also generous in his thanks to the audience leaving the stage finally on after the second encore with a rendition of Push the Sky Away which was joined in by the audience in hushed tones.

Then there was a 20minute queue to gather our pre ordered cd, a real production line was noticeable in entrance gate vestibule 9 with what looked like an optical cable running inside to the mixing desk. Even Tamsin Grieg the actress from the memorable Episodes comedy series, who was sitting just along from us had to queue. Once the cds were cut, then the queue moved quickly as they were placed into covers already printed for the tour.

Next Berlin a couple of days later.

9/10 (too many ballads) otherwise 10/10. (and for us, must see him somewhere less formal, Koko again please.

There are few musicians who can sincerely claim to have had as much impact on alternative music as Nick Cave. The veteran frontman began plying his trade with The Birthday Party in the late 70s and today still remains one of the most respected men in rock. With a career spanning 30 years, and 22 albums, witnessing a Nick Cave show is truly like watching a master at work. One of the most striking elements of Cave’s music is his lyrics. Often with great modern songwriters such as Morrissey or Alex Turner, it is said that their lyrics could be poetry recited to music. That's not the case here; Nick Cave is a master of writing lyrics as lyrics should be. They immediately strike you, but as you continue to listen they develop into something greater: whether it's a devil or a joke there's always something going on in those words, always something poking its head out from in-between the lines. Another thing that makes Cave so exciting as an artist is his versatility, often reinvigorating classical song-writing structures by making them his own: whether it’s the gorgeous piano-ballads on "The Boatman's Call" or the pent-up punk of songs such as Grinderman's "No Pussy Blues."

Characterized by Cave’s deep and melodic style of singing; he writes brilliantly stark, apocalyptic odes to love and human nature, so often accompanied by a deliciously post-modern twist of his hip and his signature deprecating humor. However Cave has not built his legacy on lyrics alone, having worked side-by-side with the likes of Warren Ellis and Roland S Howard, Cave’s songs are set to astounding soundtracks and examples of superb musicianship.

Today, many people claim that the concept of a “frontman” is dead. Admittedly, there are some who have tried to revive the idea. But while at times the often Butlins-esque showmanship of these coiffed pretenders may satisfy, you haven't seen how a true frontman does it until you've seen the Black Duke strut his stuff all over your apprehensively pre-conceived sense of dignity. From climbing into a crowd and demanding that some "hatted motherf***er" make a request, before performing a perfect rendition of a decade-old B-side (as well as his greatest hits,) to screaming every word of the hormone-fueled, sounds-like-a-Tarantino-wet-dream death-blues of “Stagger Lee” into the eyes of an adoring female fan: there's never a dull moment. If this all sounds a little too niche, not to fear, Cave understands his audiences and the out-and-out entertainer, whether it’s at a festival or a theater, never ceases to entertain. Watching Nick Cave is watching a man who has come through everything that being an artist can throw at you, with his sense-of-humor and passion for performance still in check. His shows are little individual masterpieces, never the same and always exciting. He crafts his songs in front of you, etching out the nuances of every grandiose ballad, anthemic rock song or terrifying piece of social commentary. If you haven’t seen him already, do so: if you have, see him again.

I have never seen NC before last night, but was somewhat familiar with his music and band and enjoyed what I knew, so I was looking forward to the concert. It was a great venue (the Mann, Philadelphia) so almost any show there is awesome. Nick came out with thunderous vocals and music. The first song was a thumping, moody piece, and that gave way to many loud, brash and unmusical songs. There was a lot of noise and all of the band members seemed to be trying real hard, almost to compete with one another rather than play as a unified band. I thought the second song (I don’t know its title) would have been a good closer or penultimate choice rather than putting something so inaccessible in the beginning. In fact, most of the playlist seemed to be out of order without a lot of flow to the show. He does have a few melodic numbers which he executed quite well. And I think the audio was too loud for that venue - when we moved up the hill the acoustics were better. The crowd seemed enthusiastic to applaud to each song but few were dancing to anything (as none seemed really dance-able) which when I see I interpret as people having a great time. Most were just sitting in their seats watching the at times bombastic songs unfold. His set wasn’t particularly long and I didn’t stay to see if he played a 2nd encore (I doubt he did). Many people seemed to be leaving without lingering to find out either. I spoke with one concert-goer who was down in front and she said it was great. I am sure her ears are reminding her today of the decibels.

Australian goth rock icon Nick Cave and his wonderful Bad Seeds have been a staple appearance at most UK festivals for the past few years following the release of 'Push The Sky Away'. This is perhaps due to the ethereal, mesmerising stage show filled with classic alt-rock hits that continue to draw older, devoted fans to the show as well as newer converts to his music.

It has influenced a large amount of contemporaries so it is hard to miss the mention of Nick Cave on the alternative circuit. The man himself is quite a reserved performer, not particularly performing in the iconic manner that one may expect yet instead staying very grounded and concentrating on recreating the likes of 'Jubilee Street' to the highest quality.

Stage chatter is also kept to a minimal as the whole band are fixed in their zones and concentrate on packing in as many of the classics that they can within the allotted time. There are big cheers for 'The Mercy Seat' yet the whole show in general is something of amazement and the audience leave well and truly satisfied by the great man.

The show was very good although there were sometimes uninteresting questions being asked about ‘other’ people who of course may have been important to him but if you have Nick Cave on the stage you should try to catch as much as you can from this wonderful artist. He is brilliant, funny and - surprisingly to me - a very open person who does not have any taboos and can talk about anything. It’s amazing how easily he can find the right beautiful words to describe the most complicated emotions and states of mind.

Looking forward to going to the exhibition in Copenhagen.

A destacar el sonido y el cuidado por el detalle, además de la dinámica brutal de la que hacen gala. La banda es capaz de poner los pelos de punta con la alternancia entre pasajes de gran delicadeza y otros de potencia pura. Una auténtica maravilla.

Nick’s performance was more accurately an experience. He built a relationship with the audience that was at times funny, compassionate, moving. At one point, after playing “Into My Arms,” he spoke with an audience member about the loss of a loved one that moved me to tears. I go to many concerts and there have been great ones, but rarely am I sobbing with deep emotions. He was gracious, generous, honest. Few like him.

Magical, surealistic and absolutely amazing proformance from Nick Cave and his fellow artists last night. I am still high on the experience. He got me eating right out of his hand. It wasn't just a concert, it was an interacting hypnotic travel through sound and emotion. Watched the whole show on stage. I will never forget this concert.

Great artist and musician, conversation with Nick Cave , not the greatest show to be fair. I just really went for the music , he sang about 10 numbers , so at over £90 per ticket (that's what I paid ) so about £9 per song. I've been to better . Sorry wasn't worth the expense

Nick Cave will embark on a rare North American solo tour this fall, with Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood accompanying him on bass.

Cave’s 18-date solo jaunt kicks off Sept. 19 in Asheville and hits theaters throughout the U.S. and Canada — including stops at Brooklyn’s Kings Theatre, New York City’s Beacon Theatre and Nashville’s Ryman Auditorium — before concluding with a two-night stand at Los Angeles’ Orpheum Theater on Oct. 27 and 28. The jaunt marks Cave’s first solo trek since his pre-Covid tour of Europe in Jan. 2020; since then, he’s either toured with his Bad Seeds or alongside longtime collaborator Warren Ellis.

Greenwood previously performed alongside Cave and Warren Ellis during that duo’s Australian tour in late 2022.

Nick Cave Sets 2023 Tour Dates: Ticket Presale Code & On-Sale Info

This week, Nick Cave announced 2023 tour dates.

Nineteen shows are planned at North American theatres and auditoriums in September and October. For these new concerts, Cave will be joined by Radiohead band member Colin Greenwood on bass. The last time Nick performed without the Bad Seeds was in 2019 during his Conversations with Nick Cave tour.

When do Nick Cave 2023 tour tickets go on sale and what is the presale code?

The general public on-sale begins as early as March 31. Presales for Artist begin March 27. Spotify, Ticketmaster, and local venues / radio presales will follow. Keep in mind, each date is different and details are subject to change.

Nick Cave Announced A North American Solo Tour (Featuring One Radiohead Member) For This Fall

Nick Cave has been through a lot, especially after the tragic death of his son Jethro Lazenby last year. However, he revealed that performing helps him with his grief . “I was helped hugely by my audience,” he said, “and when I play now, I feel like that’s giving something back.”

So the singer is hitting the road this fall on a newly announced North American solo tour. It’ll kick off in September in Asheville, North Carolina. The run include two New York stops, as well as two Los Angeles stops. Noteworthy is that Radiohead’s Colin Greenwood will accompany Cave on bass.

Earlier this year, Cave also revealed that he’s been working on a new Bad Seeds album , so it looks like he has a lot on his plate for 2023.

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds announce their first headline tour of the UK and Europe since 2017, with 27 shows across 17 countries this Autumn. This will include two dates at 3Arena Dublin on 12 th and 13 th November 2024. Tickets for the extra date announced today (13 th November) will go on sale this Friday 19 th April at 10am from Ticketmaster.ie and NICKCAVE.COM.

The band are widely regarded as one of the greatest live acts in the world today, and these shows promise to be some of the most hotly anticipated of 2024.

Kicking off on 24th September in Oberhausen, Germany the tour will end in Paris on 17th November. The tour will follow the release of their 18th studio album ‘ Wild God ’ on 30th August. The new album was announced recently alongside the release of the title track.

“ I never think about how a record is going to go live, it never, ever occurs to me. The lyric writing process is way too hard to take ideas like that into consideration.  But, when I listen to ‘Wild God’ now, I think we can really do something epic with these songs live. We’re really excited about that – the record just feels like it was made for the stage .”

The band will play new material along with songs from their extensive catalogue.

Support in Dublin will be from special guests Black Country, New Road .

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds live line up

Releasing on 30 th August, the first taste of the band’s 18th studio album is title track ‘ Wild God ’, out now LISTEN .

“ I hope the album has the effect [on listeners] that it’s had on me,” Cave says. “It bursts out of the speaker, and I get swept up with it. It’s a complicated record, but it’s also deeply and joyously infectious. There is never a masterplan when we make a record. The records rather reflect back the emotional state of the writers and musicians who played them. Listening to this, I don’t know, it seems we’re happy .”

Across ten tracks, the band dance between convention and experimentation, taking left-turns and detours that heighten the rich imagery and emotion in Cave’s soul-stirring narratives. It is the sound of a group emboldened by reconnection and taking flight. There are moments that touch fondly upon the Bad Seeds’ past but they are fleeting, and serve only to imbue the relentless and restless forward motion of the band.

Produced by Cave and Warren Ellis, and mixed by David Fridmann, Cave began writing the album on New Year’s Day 2023. With sessions at Miraval in Provence and Soundtree in London, the Bad Seeds added their unique alchemy, with additional performances from Colin Greenwood (bass) and Luis Almau (nylon string guitar, acoustic guitar).

Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds najavljuju svoju prvu turneju po Velikoj Britaniji I Europi od 2017. s 27 nastupa u 17 zemalja ove jeseni. Bend se naširoko smatra jednim od najvećih izvođača uživo stoga će najavljeni nastupi biti jedni od najiščekivanijih u 2024. godini.

Turneja počinje 24. rujna u Oberhausenu u Njemačkoj I završava u Parizu 17. studenog, a datumi uključuju i 6 nastupa diljem Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva. Turneja će uslijediti nakon izdavanja njihovog 18. studijskog albuma “Wild God” 30. kolovoza. Novi album najavljen je prošlog tjedna uz objavu naslovne pjesme.

“Nikad ne razmišljam o tome kako će ploča izaći uživo, to mi nikad, nikada ne pada na pamet. Proces pisanja stihova previse je težak da bi se takve ideje uzele u obzir. Ali, kada slušam “Wild God” mislim da stvarno možemo napraviti nešto epsko s ovim pjesmama uživo. Stvarno smo uzbuđeni zbog toga- ploča jednostavno izgleda kao stvorena za pozornicu.” – izjavio je Nick.

Bend će svirati novi material zajedno sa pjesmama svog velikog kataloga.

Album koji će biti objavljen 30. Kolovoza ima naslovnu pjesmu “Wild God” koju možete poslušati ovdje:  LISTEN

“Nadam se da će album imati učinak na slušatelje kakav je imao na mene”- kaže Cave.

“Grune iz zvučnika i ja sam potopljen s njim. To je komplicirana ploča, ali je također duboko I radosno zarazna. Nikada nema masterplana kada snimamo. Ploče zapravo odražavaju emocionalno stanje pisca I glazbenika koji su ih svirali. Slušajući ovo, ne znam, čini se da smo sretni.”

Kroz deset pjesama bend pleše između konvencije I eksperimentiranja, skrećući ulijevo I zaobilazeći smjerove koji povećavaju bogatstvo slika I emocija u Caveovim pričama koje dišu dušu. To je zvuk grupe ohrabrene ponovnim povezivanjem I poletom. Postoje trenuci koji se s nježnošću dotiču prošlosti Bad Seedsa, ali oni su prolazni I služe samo za prožimanje nemilosrdnog I nemirnog kretanja benda prema naprijed.

Producirali su ga Cave I Warren Ellis, a miksao David Fridman. Cave je počeo pisati album na Novu godinu 2023. sa sesijama u Miravalu u Provansi i Soundtreeju u Londonu, Bad Seedsi su dodali svoju jedinstvenu alkemiju uz dodatne nastupe Colina Greenwooda ( bas) i Luisa Almau ( gitara s najlonskim žicama, akustična gitara)

“Wild God” će biti objavljen u partnerstvu s Play It Again Sam streamingom, na CD-u te na standardnom I ograničenom izdanju vinila.
