Two final stages of Tour of Scandinavia in Denmark
Tour of Scandinavia (formerly Ladies Tour of Norway) was scaled up to a six-day stage race before last year and expanded with stages in both Denmark and Sweden in addition to Norway. The “grand depart” of the 2022 edition was at Kongens Nytorv in Copenhagen with fantastic surroundings and ended with a folk festival in the “home town” Halden. The cross-border cooperation will continue in 2023, and we are very happy to be able to present this year’s race starting in Norway and ending in Denmark.
You will find descriptions of each stage in the menu.

Giro d'Italia stage 5 Live - Will Jonathan Milan win again?
Tour of scandinavia 2023 route.
Everything you need to know about all five routes across Norway and Denmark
The 2023 Tour of Scandinavia route was reduced to five stages this year, but despite the loss of one stage, the peloton will compete across 574km from Mysen, Norway, to Haderslev, Denmark.
The route will include the mountaintop finish to Norefjell Ski & Spa on stage 2 and a brand-new time trial in Herning on stage 5.
Join Cyclingnews' coverage of the 2023 Tour of Scandinavia with race reports, results, photo galleries, news and race analysis.
Stage 1: Mysen to Halden, 124.6km
Stage 2: vikersund to norefjell, 150.5km, stage 3: kongsberg to larvik, 139.9km, stage 4: herning to herning, 16.5km, stage 5: middelfart to haderslev, 143.9km.
This year's race begins with a flat-ish 124.6km stage from Mysen to Halden. It includes one intermediate sprint at the start of the race in Askim, two categorised climbs at Momarken and then upon entering the final circuit at Friedriksten Fortress. The peloton then races two laps of a local circuit before the finish in Halden.
The second day of racing offers the longest day of the event along hilly terrain with a hilltop finish. The 150.5km stage begins in Vikersund with two intermediate sprints at Vikersund and Noresund. The peloton then races toward the final ascent, which includes the day's main QOM, followed by the last climb to Norefjell Ski & Spa.
Stage 3 looks like one of the most challenging routes, with a 130.9km race from Kongsberg to Larvik. It is consistently up and down, with two categorised ascents at Vindfjell and Eidanger, with an intermediate sprint in between. The race then ends with a short but sharp climb in the last 1.4km into Larvik.
The peloton will transfer to Denmark for the final two stages beginning with the stage 4 time trial in Herning. It is the first time the event has offered a time trial. The 16.4km route is expected to favour the strongest time trial riders, but there is a technical part in the center of Herning that will give the riders some extra challenges.
The Tour of Scandinavia will conclude with a 143.9km race from Middelfart to Haderslev. The route will include two final ascents at Birkemose golf club and Hejlsminde. There are also two final intermediate sprints at Kolding and Christiansfeld. The peloton will then race onto the finishing circuits in for three final laps around Haderslev.

The best time for cyce touring in Scandinavia is May to the middle / end of September. Temperatures in the area are usually around +15 - + 25C in the summer and usually nice weather delights the bikers. HOWEVER: the weather can also be unstable and change quickly from warm, wonderful summer weather to cold wind and rain, so it is recommended to bring an outfit for both warm and cold weather.

ROAD CONDITIONS FOR CYCLING IN SCANDINAVIA:
Scandinavia has some of the best cycle routes in the world, with thousands of kilometers of safe, clearly signposted paths and terrain that varies from easy to challenging. Signed tours assure the best scenery and are mostly on picturesque roads with little traffic & partially on roads with more traffic, over short hills and along fjords (in Norway). Notice that the Nordic countries are right-hand side nations.
Norway in particular is an interesting place to cycle as you can use the local ferries to cross the fjords. This breaks up your journey and you can enjoy lunch and snacks on these ferries as you cross. 2024 Wells Fargo Championship prop bet picks and PGA Tour predictions
T he 2024 Wells Fargo Championship gives players 1 last chance to refine their game before the 2nd major of the year, the PGA Championship. The 1st round from Quail Hollow Club in Charlotte, N.C., begins on Thursday morning, with the tournament wrapping up on Sunday.
Below, we search for the best value prop bets among the 2024 Wells Fargo Championship odds and make our PGA Tour picks and predictions .
Xander Schauffele isn't the betting favorite, but he is the 2nd-highest-ranked player in the latest Golfweek/Sagarin rankings, behind only Scottie Scheffler, who is not in the field as he awaits the birth of his first child. Ludvig Aberg is also not playing after withdrawing Monday due to a knee injury. Rory McIlroy is No. 3 in the Golfweek/Sagarin rankings, followed by Aberg, Patrick Cantlay and Viktor Hovland .
Quail Hollow is a major-like test for players, having hosted the PGA Championship as recently as 2017 when Justin Thomas won. It's a par 71 and 7,558 yards, and recently underwent renovations following last year's tournament. Wyndham Clark won this event in 2023 with a tournament-record score of 19-under 265.

Wells Fargo Championship – Top-5 picks
Odds provided by BetMGM Sportsbook ; access USA TODAY Sports Scores and Sports Betting Odds hub for a full list. Lines last updated Tuesday at 7:36 p.m. ET.
Wyndham Clark (+275)
This number is shorter now that Aberg is no longer in the field, but it's still worth playing at +275. Clark could very well go back-to-back and win this week, but a safer play is for him to finish in the top 5 for the 5th time this season.
Cameron Young (+500)
Young is still seeking that elusive 1st win on the PGA Tour and though this course is a good fit for him to get it done in a limited field, beating all of the top players (except Scheffler and Aberg) is a tall task. Instead, consider playing him for a top-5 at +500.
Wells Fargo Championship – Top-10 picks
Max homa (+200).
Homa won this event in 2019 and finished 8th last year, proving to be a great fit for Quail Hollow. He also has 2 top-10s in his last 5 starts this season, so his recent form is very good, too.
Tommy Fleetwood (+225)
While this could be the week Fleetwood breaks through with a win on American soil, I love his chances for a top 10. He finished 5th here last year and 14th in 2021, and is coming off 3rd- and 7th-place finishes in his last 3 starts on the PGA Tour.
Will Zalatoris (+300)
Zalatoris excels in major-like settings, which Quail Hollow and the Wells Fargo Championship present. He and Sahith Theegala surprisingly missed the cut at the Zurich Classic as a 2-man team, but now that Zalatoris will be back to playing his own game, I like his outlook this week. He's a great ball striker and plenty long enough to take on the challenge of Quail Hollow.
Wells Fargo Championship – Top-20 picks
Harris english (+160).
English came in 3rd here last year and already has 6 top-21 finishes this season. In a limited field of just 69 players, he has an even better chance to crack the top 20 again despite the star power teeing it up in Charlotte.
Brian Harman (+130)
Harman is once again flying somewhat under the radar with +4500 pre-tournament outright odds. At +130 for a top-20 finish, he's a great value. In his last 5 starts at Quail Hollow, his best finishes were 18th, 24th and 13th, the last of which was at the 2017 PGA Championship.
Nick Taylor (+350)
There are only 10 players with worse odds to finish in the top 20 than Taylor this week. Needless to say, that feels wrong considering he already won a signature event this year and has 2 wins since last June.
Other T20 contenders ( in order from longest odds to shortest ):
- Cam Davis (+280)
- Akshay Bhatia (+130)
Wells Fargo Championship – Matchups
Suggested play is golfer in bold .
Tommy Fleetwood (-110) vs. Sahith Theegala (-110)
I already discussed what makes Fleetwood a good bet this week, and while Theegala is also playing well right now, Fleetwood's course history gives him an edge.
Wells Fargo Championship – Top Scandinavian
Alex noren (+100).
Aberg is out of the mix now so Aberg's odds shorten to +100 to beat Viktor Hovland , the only other Scandinavian in the field. Noren is fresh off a near-win at the CJ Cup Byron Nelson where he finished 3rd, while Hovland hasn't played since blowing up in the 2nd round of the Masters nearly a month ago.
Wells Fargo Championship – Top Asian
Hideki matsuyama (+275).
Matsuyama hasn't played since the Masters but before that T-38 finish, he went 1st, T-12, T-6 and T-7 in his previous 4 starts. Yet he's still being a bit underrated this week after a long-ish layoff.
Wells Fargo Championship – First-round leader
Alex noren (+4000, +320 for top-10).
Noren was just 1 shot off the 1st-round lead last week in Texas and now ranks 3rd on tour in 1st-round scoring average. Keep riding the train and take him to either lead or finish in the top 10 after Round 1 this week.
