LeMonde has been in business since July 1993, and our complete line is designed and manufactured in Seattle, Washington.

Our "Travel Memory Globe" pendants feature gleaming, highly polished continents contrasting with the Florentine finish of the seas, and rotates freely on an axis mounted into a golden bezel.

Now you can create your own unique and personalized work of art! Simply select the destinations you would like represented on your Travel Memory Globe, and a LeMonde craftsman will place your choice of gemstone at those locations. Click the "Play Video" button, on the left, to see how it is done.

Over the past twenty five years our clients have sent their globes back to us for additional gemstones commemorating their latest travels.

LeMonde has further individualized many pieces of our "World Collection" for customers with special requests for custom designed pieces. Some examples of customization are: diamond bezel; continents pavé'd; or engraving to commemorate an event.

Travel Memory Globes

Available in four sizes: LRP35 Large (35mm), MRP29 Medium (29mm), SRP25 Small (25mm), and MINI21 (21mm). Made in 14k or 18k yellow or white gold. All four size globes can have a diamond bezel in the Deluxe Line, if requested. The gram weights for globes are approximately as follows: 14K: LRP35 (37.8 gr.) MRP29 (24.5 gr.) SRP25 (14.8 gr.) MINI21 (10 gr.) 18K: LRP35 (45.1 gr.) MRP29 (29.2 gr.) SRP25 (17.6 gr.) MINI21 (11.9 gr.)

World Earrings

We have three type of earrings in 14k yellow gold. Our E/RD19 Drop earrings (12.3 gr.) and our E/RC19 Clip earrings (10.8 gr.) with Omega backs are both 19mm in size (½ globe) with one globe showing the Eastern hemisphere and the other the Western. Our E/RFD21 Full Drop earrings (22 gr.) are 21mm and are made in 14k gold. They can be made in 18k yellow or white gold at additional cost and they can have a diamond bezel as described in the Deluxe Line.

World Oval Pendants

Comes in three sizes: LOP Large (10.5 gr.), MOP Medium (6 gr.), and SOP Small (4 gr.). The SOP can be made into a charm for a charm bracelet, designated SOC. They are available in 14k yellow gold. These pendants can also be made in 18k gold, either yellow or white gold, at an additional cost.

World Oval Lockets

Lockets come in two sizes: LOL Large (13 gr.) and MOL Medium (9 gr.). They are available in 14k yellow gold. These lockets can also be made in 18k gold, either yellow or white gold, at an additional cost.

World Rings

Our women's rings come in three different styles: Our WRO (10.5 gr.) "Oval" version, the WRD (12 gr.) "Dome" version, and the WRF (10.5 gr.) "Flat" version. All three styles are produced in 14k all yellow gold or a combination of yellow and white gold at additional cost.

World Bracelet

Three sizes are available... 6 ½", 7 ½", or 9" in 14k gold. This bracelet can also be made in yellow and white gold combination. The most popular size is our 7 ¾" BRAC, which has approximately 45.8 gr. The World Bracelet can be found in our Deluxe Line.

Deluxe Line

We offer the Travel Memory Globe with a diamond bezel. The LRP35 bezel has approximately 1.10 ct in diamonds (40 stones) The MRP29 bezel has approximately .80 ct in diamonds (40 stones) The SRP25 bezel has approximately .50 ct in diamonds (34 stones) The MINI21 bezel has approximately .40 ct in diamonds (34 stones) Our E/RFD21 (Full Drop Earrings) have approximately .75 ct in diamonds (68 stones) total on both bezels. The 7 ½" World Bracelet has approximately 1.50 ct (78 stones). The MRP29 (Travel Memory Globe) with diamond bezel and all continents pavé has approximately 2.76 ct in diamonds (276 stones). The SRP25 (Travel Memory Globe) with diamond bezel and all continents pavé has approximately 2.5 ct in diamonds (215 stones).

Men's Jewelry

We have available our STT Tie Tack or STB Tie Bar made of 14k yellow gold (oval globe) (3.3 gr.) with sterling silver backs or bar. Our MCLG/S Cuff Links are made of 14k yellow globe (oval globe) (10.4 gr.) with sterling silver backs and our MCG/S Money Clip 14k yellow gold (oval globe) (5.5 gr.) with sterling silver clip. Our Men's ring, MRO, has one style; "Oval" (20.2 gr.), which is made in 14k yellow gold or combinations of yellow and white gold.

I fell in love with travel themed jewelry while searching for travel themed wedding rings for Laurence and I’s wedding. I have since acquired more travel jewelry pieces and love using jewelry as a way of expressing my passion for travel.

We’ve put together a list of a wide range of travel jewelry items in this article for those looking for a way to express their own love for travel, searching for a gift for a traveler, or just looking for inspiration about what types of travel themed jewelry are out there.

Our list contains dozens of items that span the range of jewelry types, budgets, and fashion tastes. Although many of the jewelry pieces are designed with women in mind, we’ve also included a number of unisex and men’s jewelry pieces.

Travel Inspired Jewelry: Best Jewelry for Travelers

As I said, I got a bit obsessed with travel inspired jewelry when searching for a design for our engagement/wedding rings (we purchased a customized version of these World Map rings ). After planning our wedding, I wrote a post on handmade travel themed wedding products , which included a few travel themed jewelry items. I wanted to expand on that to write a full article focused solely on travel jewelry, so here we go!

Just so you know, many of the items on this list we physically reviewed. Some were items we purchased or received as gifts, and others were given to us by artists for review. The other pieces are just ones I loved when searching for travel related jewelry online.

The majority of the items on our list are handmade or hand customized items, made by a single artist, family, or a small business. We love supporting these great individual artists and small businesses, and many of the jewelry pieces featured were inspired by the wanderlust and travels of the artists’ themselves!

But we have also included jewelry from national and international fine jewelry stores as well to provide a range of jewelry options. Prices of pieces on the list range from under $10 to over $500, with the vast majority of jewelry falling in the $25 to $75 range.

These whimsical handcrafted pendant necklaces are made from quality printed images covered by a clear domed glass cabochon that protects and magnifies the printed image underneath. Each pendant includes a matching 24″ necklace with a lobster-style clasp. Lots of designs with maps, quotes, and travel attractions available.

Jet World Pendant Necklace

Show off your wanderlust with this popular pendant necklace that features two pendants, one of a globe and one of a compass rose. Available in sterling silver, yellow gold, or rose gold. The chain is available in a number of different lengths so you can get the perfect fit.

World Map Necklace

This handmade world map necklace features multiple pieces joined together to create a world map design. Necklace and chain is made from sterling silver of 14K filled yellow or rose gold. Personalization possible.

Working Compass Necklace

This working compass necklace allow you to engrave the back of the compass with any sort of quote, text, or image of your choice. Compass is made from antique looking brass and comes on a brass chain. A leather case for the compass necklace can be added.

Saint Christopher Pendant Necklace

This sterling silver pendant with stainless steel chain depicts the Christian saint Saint Christopher who is known as the patron saint of travel. He is depicted with a staff and carrying Jesus as a baby on his shoulders.

Many Christians display a token of Saint Christopher to show devotion and to aid in safe travels, and my grandmother always kept one in her car. You can see more St. Christopher jewelry here .

Double-Sided World Map Locket

This world map locket is made of vintage brass and enamel. It is double sided and shows the western hemisphere on one side and the eastern hemisphere on the other. Locket is also available in silver.

Great guide to so much travel themed jewelry, who knew there were so many options! I am wondering if you have any suggestions for anklets for a trendy young woman who loves to travel?

I would suggest something fairly simply like a nice chain with a compass, compass rose, globe, or airplane charm. For an anklet, especially if gifting, I’d recommend something made of either a fairly strong metal that doesn’t tarnish easily or a strong cord material as anklets can get a lot of wear and tear and are often more exposed to dirt/moisture than other types of jewelry. Hi Richard, Yes, Laurence really loves the compass watch and has been wearing it everyday! The only downside is that it is difficult to tell the exact time as it just had the compass directions for 12, 3, 6, and 9, but the in between hours/minutes can be a bit trickier. But Laurence still loves wearing it. If you want a watch for both a cool accessory and to tell exact time, I would choose one of Carmen’s designs with numbers. You can also message Carmen as she may be able to do a compass design with numbers or have other suggestions; she is always adding new designs. ~ Jessica

I got the cuff links for my husband a couple of years ago because I thought they were so neat. I like the state outline idea, but I have to say that CT doesn’t have a very interesting state. Sort of makes me want to be from Texas:) The wristlet is something totally new to me – that is a great idea!

I LOVE fashionable, costume jewelry – they are fun and easy to wear. Throughout the years, I have collected boxes of travel jewelry. My MOST favorite ones are necklaces with pendants and bracelets.

I used to own quite a few chunky or statement rings, but since I got married I love wearing my wedding band/bridal set only.

Silver (a little tarnished, vintage kind) is my go-to metal for travel jewelry, followed by muted gold color. Rose gold is also my favorite – I mean, who doesn’t love variety?

Katharine McPhee on gummy bears, Kris Jenner, and what travel has taught her about perspective

We caught up with the singer, songwriter, and actress to talk about all things travel..

Singer, songwriter, and actress Katharine McPhee , who in 2006 was runner-up on the fifth season of “American Idol,” has toured the world extensively in the past nearly two decades. So when asked about where she would like to travel most, she replied — emphatically — “straight to my bed and home and not leave for a week.” But for now, she is on a national tour with her husband, composer and music producer/industry executive David Foster, that makes stops at the Providence Performing Arts Center on May 12, The Cabot in Beverly on May 14, and The Music Hall in Portsmouth, N.H., on May 15. “I haven’t really toured in this part of the country too much, so I am looking forward to it,” she said in a recent phone call. “I love being in different parts of the country and seeing how different the audiences are — and often being surprised.” McPhee, 40, said that while there are “challenging” aspects to being on tour with one’s spouse, she and Foster, 74, with whom she shares a 3-year-old son, Rennie, “get on great.” Having said that, she added that coming off of the “An Intimate Evening with David Foster & Katharine McPhee” tour, they both enjoy their “down time … enjoying basic things like cooking a meal and watching TV together.” McPhee, who attended the Boston Conservatory (now Boston Conservatory at Berklee) for three semesters and who in 2018 made her Broadway debut starring as Jenna in the musical “Waitress,” said that the current show features a variety of musical genres, a fair amount of storytelling, and even some occasional bickering. “It’s a pretty spontaneous evening,” she said. “And it’s a really good time.” We caught up with the Los Angeles native, who still calls LA home, to talk about all things travel.

If you could travel anywhere right now, where would you go? I travel so much these days that I would travel straight to my bed and home and not leave for a week.

Do you prefer booking trips through a travel agent or on your own? I prefer booking through a travel agent. It’s very overwhelming looking at flights.

Thoughts on an “unplugged” vacation? It’s a good idea in theory, I guess. But I’ve never tried it. I like to know what’s happening in the world and with my loved ones.

What has been your worst vacation experience? A couple years ago on Christmas Day, traveling to Hawaii with my husband, 10-month-old, my mom, and [a] friend, the flight was delayed — but they had already put everyone on the bus to go to a different terminal and then ended up not having an actual gate so they put us on this bus and went clear across to the other side to go to a terminal where we had to stand on the tarmac for more than an hour. It was very cold and there were no bathrooms, no food … not how we wanted to spend Christmas. But we were able to find some humor in it and laugh a bit. Oh, and then once we did get on a flight and finally got Rennie to sleep, David got up to get something out of the overhead compartment, and when he closed it, he woke up our son. He was awake for the rest of the flight.

What is your favorite childhood travel memory? Going skiing with my mom, dad, and sister. Skiing takes a lot of effort — especially with kids. But it’s such a gift to have something to do all together. Having a child now I appreciate it so much more. We would mostly go to Mammoth and make a real road trip out of it. I remember stopping in a town called Bishop and always going to the same bakery every time. Great memories.

Do you vacation to relax, to learn, or for the adventure of it all? Typically, I vacation to relax and see and experience some culture and eat great food.

What book do you plan on bringing with you to read on your next vacation? ”Elon Musk,” a biography written by Walter Isaacson. I’m a fan of his [Isaacson’s] storytelling in previous biographies.

If you could travel with one famous person/celebrity, who would it be? Kris Jenner. She seems like a blast.

What is the best gift to give a traveler? RIMOWA lightweight suitcases. They are the best.

What is your go-to snack for a flight or a road trip? Not specific for me. I like all the fun junk like gummy bears and chips.

What is the coolest souvenir you’ve picked up on a vacation? Any piece of jewelry I love because it reminds of me where I was.

What is your favorite app/website for travel? Abercrombie & Kent.

What has travel taught you? That your worries and life are so small in comparison to the whole world. Your life holds the same value as anyone else’s, so don’t sweat the small stuff. And you can also go somewhere and start over if you wanted.

What is your best travel tip? Pack light. Plan out your looks for each day.
