Scotty McCreery Announces 2023 Damn Strait Tour Dates

Scotty McCreery has just revealed his 2023 winter and spring tour plans. The Damn Strait Tour will take him through 22 cities across America, beginning next month in Oklahoma and ending next April in Maryland.

The tour is named after McCreery's hit song " Damn Strait, " the fourth most-played song on country radio in 2022. The new father has a lineup of Friday and Saturday night shows on tap, with a break scheduled in early April. He says he's loving all the at-home time with his family, but is excited to hit the road again soon, too.

Tickets for McCreery's 2023 Damn Strait Tour go on sale on Dec. 16. A pre-sale begins on Dec. 13. See all tour dates below.

The former American Idol winner has a few more dates for 2022, including three with Lee Brice. Then he'll take a month-long break before hitting the road. He and wife Gabi welcomed baby Avery in October. The little boy is the couple's first child.

Musically, "It Matters to Her" is the 29-year-old's new single. It's his third from his Same Truck album, with the previous two hitting No. 1 on airplay charts.

Since becoming a father, McCreery has kept fans updated with frequent pictures on social media. He also appeared on television this month, singing a Christmas song during the annual CMA Country Christmas celebration. The performance was pre-recorded in September.

Written by McCreery, Frank Rogers and Brent Anderson and produced by Rogers, Derek Wells, and Aaron Eshuis, “Cab in a Solo” offers the first taste of new music from McCreery since the release of his 2021 album  Same Truck . Stream “Cab in a Solo”  HERE .

Upon its release,  Taste of Country  declared “McCreery’s country roots shine.” With a hint of neotraditional country and dash of 90’s country nostalgia, the heartbreak track finds the happily married father in unfamiliar territory – lamenting a failed relationship.

“Cab in a Solo” follows the recent success of “It Matters to Her” the fastest climbing single of McCreery’s career. The singer/songwriter has earned five consecutive No. 1 hits in the last few years including RIAA Platinum-certified No. 1 “Damn Strait” and RIAA Gold-certified No. 1 “You Time , ” all found on  Same Truck :  The Deluxe Album.

Earlier this summer McCreery joined the  Brooks & Dunn REBOOT Tour 2023 . He is currently out on the road for his own headlining tour with 25+ dates through the fall.

About Anne Wilson:

One of Nashville’s most inspiring young trailblazers, Anne Wilson is a true “rebel” in modern music. The Lexington, Ky. native, known for her transcendent vocal and down-to-earth storytelling, recently released REBEL (The Beginning), a three-pack of songs fusing the heart of Contemporary Christian Music with the sound of Country, and allowing the emerging powerhouse to innovate as her career builds momentum. Co-produced by Jeff Pardo and Jonathan Smith, the project kicks off with two singles bridging Wilson’s sonic influences. The hurricane force encouragement of “Rain In The Rearview” stands as Wilson’s debut Country single, while the soaring ballad “Strong” will simultaneously aim to continue the success she has earned in Contemporary Christian. Taking the music world by storm, Wilson delivered her first public performance at 15, singing “What a Beautiful Name” at her brother’s funeral in a moving expression of faith which soon went viral. A few short years later, her 2021 debut single “My Jesus” became a PLATINUM-certified single and hit No.1 on Billboard ’s Christian Airplay chart. Since then, she has tallied more than 730M global streams, made her Grand Ole Opry debut and scored a GRAMMY nomination for her 2022 debut album My Jesus . She continues to thrill live audiences, performing over 250 shows in the first two years of her career, and is currently on her entirely sold-out headlining My Jesus Tour.

ABOUT GREYLAN JAMES:

From the moment his Papaw gifted him his first guitar at the age of five, one of Nashville’s most exciting young breakout Country stars Greylan James knew he was meant to be a musician. The Knoxville-raised singer/songwriter has been manifesting his vision of Country music stardom since his earliest days: from those cleats and cowboy hats he wore to school to playing every sort of live show imaginable from tailgates to patios and dive bars to funerals around his hometown. Since moving to Music City eight years ago, Greylan has become a “celebrated songwriter” ( Country Now ) earning cuts from some of Country music’s most notable artists including Kenny Chesney, Chris Young, Cole Swindell, Darius Rucker, Chris Janson, Bailey Zimmerman, Breland and more, most recently earning his first No. 1 with Jordan Davis’ smash hit “Next Thing You Know.” To date, Greylan’s songbook has amassed more than 650 million streams. And while Greylan has undoubtedly been incredibly successful penning hits for others in the writer’s room, he’s ready to strike out on his own with the recent release of his anticipated debut single “ Young Man ” (BMLG Records). Co-written alongside esteemed Nashville songwriters Jacob Davis and Josh Miller, and dedicated to Greylan’s late grandfather, the reflective song of notching wisdom from one’s elders is his most personal song yet. After joining Old Dominion on the road over the summer, Greylan heads out on Cole Swindell’s TWELVE TOUR this fall beginning October 12 in Fargo, ND. For a full list of tour dates and more, visit  GreylanJames.com .

About Noah Hicks: Raised on a chicken farm in Carrollton, GA, Noah Hicks brings an authenticity that’s as real as the dirt roads he grew up on. After making the move to Nashville, he quickly found his place among some of the city’s most respected writing circles. But it’s not just his ear for a good song that sets him apart; he prides himself on his energetic live shows and undeniable connection with fans. Sharing the stage with names like HARDY, Ernest, Justin Moore, and Parker McCollum, and making appearances at festivals like CMA Fest, Noah’s energy is felt far beyond Music Row. Since signing with RED Creative Group in 2020, he’s amassed over 60 million streams and collaborated with artists like Rhett Akins, Ashley Cooke, Travis Denning, and Jon Langston. Two of his standout tracks, “I Can Tell You’re Small Town” and “Dirt On It,” have proven Noah’s ability to authentically and naturally connect with fans. The former sparked an organic TikTok trend, with over 29K videos created and counting, while the latter has been embraced by NFL and MLB stadiums, organically finding its way into the ears of sports fans.

Scott McCreery- born Cooke "Scotty" McCreery, on October 9th 1993 is an American country music singer from North Carolina, America.

Scott started out in 2009 when he managed to win the singing contest 'Clayton Idol' held by WQDR-FM at the Clayton Harvest Festival in Clayton, North Carolina. Following this win Scott sang at numerous local shows with the radio station.

His success came about in 2011, after winning the popular talent show, USA's, 'American Idol'. Scott was the series' youngest male winner and second youngest winner overall. Scott McCreery had to have one of his parents live with him during the process of the show due to his young age. Following his success in the reality TV show, Scott went on to record and release his debut studio album, titled, Clear as Day, that same year. The album was highly successful and was impressively certified platinum in America.

Scott’s unique style meant his country vocals suited a number outlets. This was made evident through his debut album including the top 20 country songs, "I Love You This Big" and "The Trouble with Girls". Additionally his talents filtered through to him successfully releasing a public's favourite, Christmas album in 2012, titled, 'Christmas with Scotty McCreery', which has impressively been certified gold in the USA.

Success didn’t end there however, his first single from his third album titled, "See You Tonight", successfully reached the highly regarded, America's top 10 on Billboard's Country charts.

Live reviews

Scotty McCreery captured our attention during his stint on "American Idol." His singing and the songs he chose helped me enjoy the genre of country music more. So, when we saw that he was performing at Centennial Hall (University of Arizona), Tucson, we bought tickets for the show and were very excited.

First, we attend lectures at Centennial Hall so the issue regarding accoustics is not really a problem for the most part. However, with the presence of 3-4 guitars, keyboard and drums plus amps, the music was much louder than the performer...we saw Scotty's mouth moving and we knew sound was emanating from him BUT we could not hear the lyrics distinctly. I think if the music had been powered down a bit and/or the building had better accoustics, this would not have been an issue.

Enjoyed Scotty's personal footnotes which preceded some of the songs and it gave some insight to him as a person. He uses music/lyrics to express his feelings & emotions. Having said that, perhaps he is shy (as many performers are) and did not engage the audience (theater-goers in the front rows) much. Then I considered the possibility that he was "saving" himself for the audience members who had paid to visit him backstage. All in all, it was a high energy show with a group of wonderfully talented performers. It was good to see a grown up Scotty McCreery with 8-9 years of professional experience.

When I first heard that Scotty was gonna be in town I knew I had to buy a ticket before it sold out. He sang songs from his newest album and a couple from his older albums too. Also he sang a little bit of old country like Alan Jackson,Meryl Haggard,Alabama and Johnny Cash. He is such an amazing singer and did such an amazing job from beginning to end. The amount of talent on stage was so amazing. He switched from acoustic guitar to electric than back to acoustic. His band did Phenomenal too. They played instruments from fiddle to banjo to drums, electric guitar and keyboard and the list goes on.There wasn't a moment I didn't enjoy. I enjoyed it all. Also I got to meet Scotty in person and he is the nicest guy you'll ever meet. Who he is on tv and in interviews is who he is in real life. Talking with him was like talking with one of my best friends. I can't say enough nice things about him and his band. It definitely worth seeing him in concert. I highly recommend it. You'll be entertained from beginning to end then sad when it's over. It'll be a night you never forget

A fresh faced youngster to the country scene, Scotty McCreery has been causing waves since winning American Idol and scoring a #1 album with 'Clear as Day'. A fan base was ready and waiting following his TV show victory and his outings on the live scene have been praised more and more ever since.

Now with two albums worth of hit material, McCreery is one of complete ease onstage. I suppose the transition from having millions of eyes on you each week to a mere couple thousand in a venue is a nice change as Scotty is able to relax further into his performance. He also has a great live band and seems to thrive from the jam mentality of his music style.

He builds a great connection with the crowd as he tells them meanings behind his songwriting and his experiences as a reality star at such a young age. They warm to him almost instantly and cheer even louder for 'See You Tonight' and US smash 'I Love You This Big'. By his final bows there is an unspoken unanimous opinion that Scotty is destined for great things.

Bought the tickets as a Mother's Day gift for myself and took my two daughters. Scotty was great! My daughters were excited walking into the theater but by the time he finished his first song they said he is now their favorite. He walked down the aisle we were sitting by for one of his songs and touched my older daughters hand , so that would be her highlight. We loved how he would turn the lights up a bit and tell the audience a little bit about his journey to stardom. He played a song he had written but hasn't released yet which was great. Can't wait to hear it on the radio. Both of my girls said when he is on stage he looks like Jensen Ackles from Supernatural. I have to agree. I would highly recommend seeing Scotty in concert.

The Scotty McCrerry concert was AMAZING! It was our 3 daughters first concert experience and Scotty didn't disappoint us! I liked that he started almost on time (8 minutes after 8:00) and it was none stop entertainment! We hope he comes to Hawaii next year for another concert! Loved every minute of it! Wish it could've been a 3 hour show! ! ! !

Absolutely amazing! It was such a great time. My uncle and I went; I have seen Scotty, though, two times in the past so going a third time made me so happy! He never disappoints with his stage presence. Love him and I loved the Casino Ballroom. Five stars!

I thought that Scotty did a really, truly great job. I thought that him telling us about his cousin dying in the war, along with the fact he wrote a about him and his wife and son was admirable. It was great that he sang old and new songs for us too!

“Cab in a Solo” follows the recent success of “ It Matters to Her ” the fastest climbing single of McCreery’s career. The singer/songwriter has earned five consecutive No. 1 hits in the last few years including RIAA Platinum-certified No. 1 “ Damn Strait ” and RIAA Gold-certified No. 1 “ You Time, ” all found on  Same Truck :  The Deluxe Album.

About Good For Country

Over the past three years, UBank has hosted a family-friendly music event at their Lufkin location on South First Street. Thousands of fans have brought their lawn chairs and blankets to enjoy performances by entertainers such as  Drake White, Kameron Marlowe, Dave Finley, Chris Colston, and Chad Cooke Band.

The Good for Country Concert Series was born out of a post-covid need for in-person entertainment and hunger relief in the East Texas area. Through this platform , UBank has been able to donate roughly $30,000 to the East Texas Food Bank.

Going Big in 2023

UBank's 4th annual Good For Country Concert is swinging for the bleachers in 2023. The event will be moved from the bank's location to the George H. Henderson, Jr. Expo Center on the North Loop in Lufkin.

Why the move? Well, there just wouldn't be enough room in the bank's parking lot to accommodate the crowd that will show up for one of the hottest entertainers in country music. SCOTTY MCCREERY will be headlining this year's Good For Country Concert on Saturday, March 4.

Scotty McCreery

Scotty McCreery’s current album Same Truck contains his No. 1 RIAA Gold-certified singles “You Time” and “Damn Strait,” and his current single “It Matters to Her.” "Damn Strait" was one of the most played and downloaded songs of the past year.

He achieved new heights by earning three back-to-back No. 1 hits from his last album Seasons Change, the RIAA Gold-certified project which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard Country Album chart: the RIAA Double Platinum-certified “Five More Minutes,” the RIAA Platinum-certified “This Is It,” which stayed at the top of the charts for two weeks, and RIAA Gold-certified “In Between.”

McCreery rose to worldwide stardom after winning American Idol in 2012. He and his wife, Gabi, recently welcomed their first baby, Avery. This Lufkin concert will be a bit of a homecoming for a member of his band. Nacogdoches native, Spence Peppard, is the lead guitarist in Scotty McCreery's band.

The Tickets Are Only How Much!!??

Tickets for the 4th Annual Good For Country Concert go on sale on Friday, January 6 at 11 am. TICKETS ARE ONLY $10!!

UBank wants to fill the Expo Center to capacity because every ticket sold means more money for the East Texas Food Bank.  Every dollar of every ticket sold goes straight to the food bank and their efforts to feed the hungry in East Texas.

You can purchase your general admission tickets at this link . Ticket sales will only be available to Scotty McCreery Fan Club members until tickets go on sale to the public.

Travis Denning

Your $10 ticket gets you in to see Scotty McCreery, but he's not the only performer taking the stage.  Travis Denning will be in concert as well.

A native of Warner Robins, Georgia, singer/songwriter and Mercury Nashville recording artist Travis Denning celebrated his first number and gold-certified single in 2020 with "After A Few".

He recently  released his “clever kiss-off” (Billboard) and “wickedly fun good-riddance anthem” (PEOPLE) “ABBY”, which has already amassed over 17 million streams and the track reached the number one spot on Sirius XM’s Highway Hot 30.

Jackson Pigg

Also taking the stage at the Good For Country Concert will be local guest Jackson Pigg. Born and raised in Lufkin, Texas, Jackson Pigg is an up-and-coming country music singer/songwriter who is chasing his dreams. At the age of 16, he began playing shows around the East Texas area and has even bigger plans to share his talents across the country.

Don't miss out on this great night of music and family fun for a very affordable price.  Remember, 100% of the event proceeds go to the East Texas Food Bank.

Doors will open at 6:45 and the show starts at 7:30.

If you can't make it to the show but still want to support the ETFB, you can make a direct donation here .

Anne Wilson Joins Scotty McCreery’s Cab In A Solo Tour

PLATINUM-certified, GRAMMY-nominated artist and songwriter Anne Wilson will join Scotty McCreery’s Cab In A Solo Tour as direct support, marking her first-ever Country tour. The tour, promoted by Live Nation , will kick-off at Hobart Arena in Troy, Ohio on Jan. 26, 2024 and trek across the U.S. with stops in Atlanta, Philadelphia, Boston and more. Tickets go on sale this Friday, Oct. 13 at 10 a.m. local time at annewilsonofficial.com .

Anne Wilson Joins Scotty McCreery's Cab In A Solo Tour

The Cab In A Solo Tour announcement coincides with Wilson’s first Country single, “ Rain In The Rearview ,” which impacted Country radio yesterday (10/9) as the third most-added song this week. The track penned by Wilson, Matthew West, Jaren Johnston and Zach Kale has garnered praise from critics, with MusicRow noting “vocally she’s got the goods” and Billboard citing the “acoustic coda showcases Wilson’s ceiling-scraping vocal capabilities.”

Released as part of her bold new venture that fuses the Christian and Country genres, Holler noted that the new three-pack of songs, REBEL (The Beginning) , “clearly outlines Wilson’s new country-leaning mission statement,” as two of the songs simultaneously make waves at Christian radio (“Strong”) and Country radio (“Rain In The Rearview”).

Ahead of her tour with McCreery next year, Wilson is treating audiences across the country to her first-ever headlining My Jesus Tour, accompanied by special guest Josh Baldwin . The 20-stop tour, which commenced last month, has been met with overwhelming demand, selling out in every city, including Austin, Atlanta, Charlotte, Indianapolis and Chicago.
