I’m David Burstein, founder and President of European Beer Tours.  Like you, I share a passion for good beer, delicious food and adventurous travel. 

I've always enjoyed discovering new beers and meeting the people who brew them. But our trips are about more than just good beer. When you travel with us, you’ll experience real local flavor. From the quaint neighborhood hotels where we stay, to the charming, local restaurants where we dine, we design all of our trips with immersive travel in mind .

Why European Beer Tours?  

First and foremost, our staff is passionate about beer.  Most have worked in the beer industry either in breweries or as beer servers/guides,  are certified by the beer Cicerone Certification Program and many serve as beer judges in BJCP certified competitions.

Whether drinking Kolch in Cologne, Gueuze in Brussels, Helles in Munich or Sahti in Finland all of our trips explore the beer which is indigenous to the specific region or city.  Our trips include numerous brewery tours, many of which are given by the actual brewer. We also like to include one or two special events on each tour like a local beer festival. This allows our guests to sample beers from a vast array of breweries from many of the small, startup breweries and further promotes camaraderie within the group and the immersive philosophy.

The World’s Top 10 Beer Destinations for 2024

It’s safe to say that the craft beer boom has now reached nearly every corner of the globe. But with experimental and innovative releases coming from countless producers every year, determining which cities are worth a beer-inspired visit is no small feat — especially if you’ve already ticked off well-known suds hubs like Brussels and Munich or San Diego and Asheville.

This year’s list of the best beer destinations recognizes cities with up-and-coming craft scenes, many of which have exploded in recent years. Additionally, it celebrates historic and iconic beer cities with new and improved attractions set to welcome visitors for the first time.

From strolling through the streets of the “Paris of South America” to motorbike brewery tours in Vietnam, here are the 10 best beer destinations for 2024.

10. Johannesburg, South Africa

Defined by decades of mass production, craft brewing in South Africa is still relatively nascent, with the first craft outfit, Mitchell’s Brewery, opening in Knysna in 1983. Come 2008, the number of craft operations across the country had grown to 20, but now that number is well over 200, with many residing in Johannesburg, South Africa’s third-largest city.

One of Joburg’s most popular destinations for beer drinkers is Mad Giant Brewery , which sprung up as a garage operation in 2014. Since then, the brewery has expanded significantly, moving into its current downtown residence in August 2016. Head to the taproom for crisp, low-ABV brews marked by notes of tropical fruits and citrus.

9. Athens, Greece

Beer production in Athens dates back to 3300 B.C. And while the modern era has been mostly defined by mass-produced lagers from companies like AB-InBev and the Heineken Company, finding quality craft beer is getting easier and easier, much as it is to encounter a world-class cocktail .

Production on the current site of Athineo Microbrewery , in the Rouf neighborhood, stretches back to 1965, when Athenian Brewery, now owned by Heineken, started brewing Amstel. By 2015, that production had shifted to other parts of the country, and Athenian reimagined the space as Athineos, a microbrewery, museum, and laboratory. While not “craft” in the independently owned sense of the term often favored stateside, the brewery places an emphasis on small, experimental batches, with many made using 100 percent Greek barley. After a refreshment, don’t leave without checking out the space’s museum, which outlines the history of beer production from ancient Babylonia to present day.

Next up, and just a short walk from the Acropolis, is Strange Brew . The bottleshop and taproom features 10 handles charged with proprietary pours (brewed “nomadically” at multiple facilities around the country), as well as a rotating selection of local guest beers. Strange Brew’s flagship, the Jasmine IPA, is a must-try, offering aromatic tropical fruits and relaxing jasmine notes.

If sampling as many local beers as possible is a priority, fire up Untapp’d and check in to Barley Cargo . The beer hall, decorated with beer-stacked open crates, serves over 350 styles from over 140 Greek microbreweries, as well as dozens of international producers. If hunger strikes, a convenient tasting menu has been designed to pair perfectly with a beer in hand.

8. Buenos Aires, Argentina

Beloved for its wide stretching boulevards, regal cultural institutions, and world-class architecture, Buenos Aires is well deserving of its nickname, the “Paris of South America.” And while Argentina may be better known for wine, the country has a craft beer scene that’s blossomed impressively over the past two decades. In 2010, there were roughly 70 breweries scattered across the country. Now, there are thousands and the industry is expected to continue growing by nearly 10 percent year-over-year until 2028.

Among the sea of large-scale domestic producers that line the shelves of beer retailers in the city, visitors can also indulge in craft offerings at the city’s numerous breweries, microbreweries, and tasting rooms. At Bierlife , which occupies a rustic, colonial-era former home in San Telmo — the city’s oldest neighborhood — guests can choose from 50-plus taps, then enjoy their pours in the bar’s shaded biergarten.

Over in the Colegiales neighborhood, Strange Brewing dishes out dozens of experimental brews, ranging from sour ales with strawberry and coconut, to Argentine interpretations of New England IPAs, oatmeal stouts, and light lagers. For relaxation, don’t miss out on Tēdelūpulo , Argentina’s first beer spa, offering treatments like malt and hop oil massages as well as blind beer tastings.

7. Minneapolis, Minn., United States

The American Midwest is practically synonymous with beer production, led by cities like Milwaukee and Chicago. But tucked away in Minneapolis are over 40 craft breweries, representing approximately a quarter of Minnesota’s total producers, with each pushing to make brewing a more innovative and creative space.

Leading the charge is Modist Brewing and head brewer Kiegan Knee, who received a nod from VinePair last year for his experimental brewing techniques. In a custom-built brewhouse, Knee conceives beers from a singular desired flavor, leading to recipes like Pineapple Passionfruit Fruited Sours, Double Marshmallow & Vanilla Dark Lagers, and a number of hemp-based seltzers.

A short 10-minute drive leads to Fair State Brewing Cooperative , the first cooperatively owned brewery in Minnesota, and only the third to open in the United States. Founded by Evan Sallee, Niko Tonks, and Matt Hauck, guests are able to buy into Fair State’s Member-Owner Program , which allows for beer lovers to help design recipes, pick berries for brews, and volunteer to support the brewery. To date, the brewery has put forth creations such as Bonk City, a double IPA made with Columbus Cryo hops, and Biggie Jumbo, a double stout with rich chocolate notes.

If you’re not tied to a summer excursion, the annual April Minnesota Craft Beer Festival typically serves more than 400 brews from over 100 producers in the state. Get your tickets soon — in the past, every festival has sold out.

6. Queenstown, New Zealand

With over 200 breweries for just 5 million people, there’s no shortage of great beer in New Zealand. And with the highest concentration of bars and restaurants in the country — and quite a few breweries of its own — quality craft beer abounds in Queenstown, on the nation’s South Island.

Drinking with a view seldom comes close to the scenes found at Canyon Brewing , with an outdoor beer garden situated on the edge of — as the name suggests — a canyon. While savoring the sight, sip on a hazy IPA or the Farm Hand Saison, made with homegrown pilsner malt, honey, and foraged elderflower. The brewery’s restaurant defies culinary categorization, with dishes ranging from wood-fired edamame beans with Korean chili powder to beef rump steak with chimichurri butter.

For über-local brews, Cargo Brewery produces a collection of fresh-hop beers using the yields from an on-site hop farm, which are sold at the cellar door and at brewery events. Cargo Brewery also produces lagers, pilsners, IPAs, and ales, and this year plans to open a beer hall that will serve as an events space and production venue for beer, spirits, and non-alcoholic drinks.

To hit as many spots as possible without the hassle of planning, turn to Queenstown Beer Tours , hosted by Kiwi-born Lewis Benseman, who was raised in the city. The five-hour Craft Beer Brewery Tour includes three stops, an interactive brewery tour, and 13 tastings. For an additional culinary aspect, consider the Craft Beer Brewery and Food Tour; while the Private Brewers Day Out may be more your speed if you’re looking to sample some gin and sake as well.

5. Albuquerque, N.M., United States

Since Santa Fe Brewing opened its doors in 1988, craft brewing has taken off in New Mexico, with over 40 establishments now operational in Albuquerque. With its original location some 65 miles away, Santa Fe Brewing expanded to the city in 2015. Saddle up to its bar in Green Jeans Food Hall, the city’s original shipping-container marketplace, for hazy IPAs to Mexican-style lagers and even an Imperial Java Stout.

Bow & Arrow Brewing Co. , the first Native American, woman-owned brewery in the United States, delivers some of the best beer to be found in the city. Co-founded by Shyla Sheppard and Missy Begay, Bow & Arrow rotates its beer offerings seasonally. Typical selections include malt-forward, barrel-aged imperial stouts, and dry-hopped farmhouse ales that spend extended periods in cask. The quality on display at Bow & Arrow earned the brewery a nod from the James Beard Foundation in January 2024 as a semi-finalist for “Outstanding Bar.”

For history buffs, Canteen Brewhouse holds the distinction of Albuquerque’s longest continually operating brewery, while Gravity Bound Brewing Company leads on the sustainability front as the city’s most eco-friendly producer.

4. Charlotte, N.C., United States

Following the outbreak of Covid-19, Charlotte experienced an influx of new residents. According to CLT Alliance , a Charlotte-based business networking company, 113 people moved to the greater Charlotte area everyday from mid-2021 to mid-2022. And while the city plays younger sibling to Asheville and Raleigh, Charlotte’s craft beer scene is thriving, with over 70 breweries in the region.

NoDa Brewing Company , one of the city’s original craft outposts, opened in 2011 and has since expanded to a second location. Now it even has an outpost in the city’s airport. At the O.G. location , 12 year-round releases are featured alongside a collection of seasonal and limited-time brews. Over at NoDa Brewing Company, the newer of the two, 16 brews pour from the taps year-round joined by rotating seasonal selections. Since it’s North Carolina, sampling Cheerwine Ale — a wheat ale made with the state’s favorite soda brand — is a must.

For a more experimental experience, stop in for a pint at Pilot Brewing Company, a small-batch nano-brewery with no flagship beers and no core ranges. The team instead prefers to rotate selections as often as possible, currently offering 14 proprietary and two “co-Pilot” beers; two non-alcoholic brews; four ciders; and two hard seltzers. Pilot Brewing Company was also named the 1023 North Carolina Brewery of the Year at the NC Brewers Cup Competition.

3. Hanoi, Vietnam

Beer production in Vietnam dates back to the 19th century, and the nation now consistently ranks in the top 10 beer-consuming countries worldwide. While labels like Saigon Beer and Hanoi Beer occupy most of the market, a vibrant craft scene is flourishing in Hanoi, mostly led by Furbrew .

Opened in 2016, it was the city’s first independent craft brewery, originally located in The 100 Garden, a beer garden located in the Tây Ho District. Since then, Furbrew’s expanded to a 1,000-liter brewhouse, with selections spanning some 20 taplines, and cans and bottles also on offer. For a wider selection, return to The 100 Garden, which supplements Furbrew beers with a selection of other Vietnamese brews flowing through 31 taps.

At Standing Bar, located on Truc Bach Lake in the city’s Old Quarter, 19 taps rotate brews from across Vietnam alongside a food menu that changes daily. Hop in the car and head 15 minutes north to enjoy one of 20 beers on tap at Turtle Lake Brewing Company, while listening to live music along Tay Ho lake.

It wouldn’t be a trip to Vietnam without a ride on the back of a motorbike. The Hanoi Beer Tour combines that experience with a five-hour guided tour, complete with food and a history and culture lesson on Hanoi.

No matter what, drinking bia hoi is a must in the city. While not “craft,” the daily-brewed and briefly matured brew is the backbone of beer consumption in the city, delivered to suppliers daily and typically served in a frosted glass with large chunks of ice.

2. Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada

British Columbia’s booming beer scene boasts some 250 craft breweries — most of which opened their doors in the last 10 years, with approximately 70 calling Vancouver home.

The highest concentration of breweries and brewpubs can be found on the east side of the city, affectionately nicknamed “Yeast Van.” The industrial area, which runs from Powell Street to Commercial Drive, contains around 15 breweries, the first of which — Storm Brewing — opened in the 1990s. At Parallel 49 Brewing, Yeast Vancouver’s largest brewery, enjoy the plethora of urban street art while sipping one of the more than 10 brews offered. Fancy visiting as many breweries as possible in the area? Join the Yeast Vancouver Ale Trail on a four-day exploration through the city’s beer scene.

Outside of Yeast Vancouver, no visit to the city is complete without a trip to Steamworks Brewing, the only steam-operated brewery in Canada. If you’re traveling with others who don’t share the same affinity for beer, hit up the Vancouver Urban Winery which shares a space with the Belgard Kitchen , a restaurant spotlighting Canadian ingredients alongside a selection of wine, cocktails, and, of course, draft beer.

1. London, England, United Kingdom

With its trademark pub culture, London seems like an obvious beer destination, but the city has never allowed itself to get comfortable, and continually pushes the boundaries of what it means to brew great beer. And with over 100 commercial breweries operating in the city — and more pubs than anyone could check out in one visit — there’s certainly no shortage of suds.

To break from the beaten tourist path, head to southeast London for a galavant down the Bermondsey Beer Mile. The stretch of road (that’s actually closer to two miles long) is rife with breweries, bars, and bottle shops, all nestled in former railway arches. Expect anything from traditional English ales — at Southwark Brewing , they’re served straight out of the cask — to stouts, IPAs, and even some honey-based brews. Need a break from beer? Kanpai, the U.K.’s first sake brewery and taproom, is located along the strip and serves 10 sakes on tap alongside a collection of Kanpai collaboration beers. Pro tip: Saturdays are the best day to visit the “mile,” as most of the breweries and pubs open at the same time.

Starting this year, stout drinkers will no longer have to venture up to Dublin for an “official” pint of Guinness. Set to open late 2024 in Covent Garden, Guinness at Old Brewer’s Yard is bringing production back to a part of the city where brewing dates back to 1722. Diageo, the brand’s parent company, plans for the microbrewery to focus on limited-edition beers while offering visitors a guided tour of the premises. Additionally, the 50,000-square-foot operation is set to become the southern U.K. hub for “Learning for Life Bartending and Hospitality,” Diageo’s training program. Eventually, 100 London-based students will graduate from the program annually.

While the English capital’s summer weather is notoriously unreliable, the London Beer Festival is a guaranteed August fixture, giving guests the chance to sample over 800 beers from more than 100 breweries. Located on Tobacco Dock in Wapping, approximately 16,000 drinkers flock to the festival each year for brews, cocktails, spirits, wine, and vibrant live music. Remember to pack that umbrella, just in case!

Welcome to The Beer Travel Guide! People often ask us where to drink craft beer when they visit various cities, so we decided to make a site that could hopefully help everyone looking for local craft when they travel.

You’ll find our detailed brewery hop recommendations for various American cities here. You’ll also find lists of breweries for a number of cities, lists which include valuable research like whether they serve food and what their hours of operation are. That way, you can make your own hop! If you don’t see the city you want to explore on there, contact us and let us know!

We also have pieces about beer festivals we’ve attended, wrapping up the experience and shouting out our favorite beers that were served. You can read our coverage of festivals we’ve covered in the past two years, including the Firestone Walker Invitational , Great American Beer Fest , Carnival of Caffeination , Sour Friends Fest , Extreme Beer Fest , and many more!

We’ve recently launched a TikTok account, posting daily funny and/or informative videos about craft beer. Please give us a follow there.

We have a list of every beer we’ve tried this year– we’ve already crossed 650 beers for the year, so see what we’ve had and what we recommend!

Beer festivals not only offer attendees the chance to sample numerous brews (sometimes even rare and one-off pours), but also allow beer fans to get to know their favorite brewmasters, sample paired foods, and learn all about beer and brewing.

To find the best fests, we asked a panel of beer experts to nominate their top picks, then readers voted for their favorites. Here are the 10 best beer festivals in the United States. 

No. 10: Great Taste of the Midwest - Madison, Wisconsin

One of the longest-running beer events in North America, this craft beer festival brings around 200 of the Midwest’s finest craft brewers to Madison each year. Attendees can taste some 1,400 beers, attend beer-centric seminars, and sample foods from local vendors — all while strolling through a beautiful park overlooking Lake Monona.

No. 9: Lumberjack Day by 3 Sons Brewing Co. - Dania Beach, Florida

3 Sons Brewing Co. hosts the super-fun Lumberjack Day, a 5-hour craft beer drinking festival that features 50 of the world's best breweries. You'll need to get an advance VIP pass or general admission ticket to be part of the fun, but in return, you'll get unlimited pours, enjoy digital art, food trucks, and even ax throwing and chainsaw sculpting events.

No. 8: Historic New Castle Belgian Beer Festival - New Castle, Delaware

This new festival showcases both the charms of Delaware's historic New Castle as well as newly imported Belgian beers. Started in 2022, the festival features 30 different Belgian beers being served for the first time in Delaware. The event is held in beautiful Battery Park, set on the banks of the Delaware River.

No. 7: Fresh Hop Ale Festival - Yakima, Washington

The Fresh Hop Ale Festival pays reverence to the Yakima Valley's abundant hops (which account for 75% of U.S. hop acreage), and at the same time supports the Yakima County-based arts and science organizations. This is an immensely popular festival, with over 70 breweries, wineries, and cideries taking part. You can camp out at this week-long extravaganza, and for many, getting to sample a fresh hop brew can be life-changing.

No. 6: Tailspin Ale Fest - Louisville, Kentucky

Tailspin Ale Fest in Louisville is all about beer and planes — and it's a great way to warm up in the dead of winter. Beer enthusiasts and flight fanatics gather amid a display of World War II-era aircraft at Bowman Field to sample 250-plus craft beers from more than 50 breweries. Attendees also enjoy live music and the best of Louisville food trucks.

No. 5: Brave Brews Festival - Auburn, New York

Brave Brews Festival in Auburn, New York, celebrates women and non-binary individuals in the craft beer industry, inspired by the Pink Boots Collaboration Brew Day, an annual ritual at Prison City that kicks off and honors Women's History Month. Not only can you sample some of the top crafts created by women and non-binary individuals in the New York beer industry, you'll be able to check out Prison City's fantastic Fire & Ice Festival, where tons of ice gets carved into sculptures, drink luges, and courtyard games. If you like your beer festivals big, head for Knoxville, where XUL Beer Company invites some of the top-tier brewers from around the country for the new Kill The Lights fest. Started in 2022, this event brings more than 60 different breweries to one spot, with tents set up in the parking lot and warehouse. XUL also provides music, food, and all the beery cheer necessary to make this one of the premier events for serious beer geeks seeking to sip the best of the best.

No. 3: Great American Beer Festival - Denver, Colorado

For more than 40 years, Denver has hosted the Great American Beer Festival, bringing together hundreds of breweries for beer education, awareness of beer trends, networking, research, the chance to sample from the largest annual U.S. beer selection, and pure fun. The festival is also a competition, with medals being awarded in more than 90 categories.

The Key Tip To Ensure The Most Enjoyable Beer Tasting Experience

One of the best parts about the American craft beer boom of the 21st century has been seeing beer tastings start to get taken seriously in a way historically reserved only for wine tastings. Once dismissively relegated to a massive, all-inclusive category called "beer," now even average consumers understand that there can be a world of difference between a pilsner, an ale, and a bock. 

And just like a California merlot can be a very different experience from a French one, variations in ingredients and brewing techniques mean that two beers of the same style can have very different flavor notes depending on the producer. Beers can be hoppy, malty, fruity, bitter, nutty, chocolatey, and so much more. This newfound widespread acknowledgement means that beer tasting has taken off as an activity, both in breweries themselves and in the form of flights. But if you want to give beer the same respect people give wine, there are some beer tasting best practices to follow — and a big one is tasting your samples in the right order.

If you order a beer flight, you'll probably notice that they come arranged from lightest to darkest most of the time. Well, that doesn't just look nice, it's the actual order you should follow in tasting them. While both light and dark beers can cover a wide variety of flavors, dark beers do tend to be more intense. And if you taste them first, you risk overwhelming the lighter beers you sample afterwards.

Taste lighter and lower ABV beers first

Although not all dark beers will hit as hard as an imperial stout, for example, the color of your beer is a good indicator of how strong the flavor is, because a beer's hue is tied to how roasted the malt or grain is. Like any heat application with food, longer roasting of the malt brings out deeper, more complex flavors through the Maillard reaction, giving dark beers strong, full notes that are usually toasty, malty, and sweet. 

And similar to what occurs with food and alcohol pairings, our taste perceptions change based on what we are drinking together, so a crisper, cleaner light beer may taste watery and bland if you sip it after a dark beer, even if it would be flavorful on its own. That doesn't mean lighter beers aren't as satisfying, just that their more delicate flavors need to be treated that way. The two other factors to consider when determining sampling order also relate to how strong a beer tastes: alcohol by volume (ABV) and hoppiness. 

If you are mostly tasting beer that's in the same color range, these two measures are the best way to determine which beers will overwhelm the others. ABV is usually listed on the menus these days, but outside of more obviously hop-heavy varieties such as IPAs (which come in many styles) , you may need to ask about hoppiness before you taste. Every type of beer deserves to be given a chance to shine, so make sure you don't ignore their potency when it's time to sample them.

So much has changed about craft beer in the decade since I began covering it. Breweries are installing kitchens and serving cocktails, non-alcoholic beer is a thing that nobody is laughing at anymore, and most everybody’s tastes have shifted and changed, then shifted and changed some more. But there are a few iconic craft beers that I and many others have always enjoyed and which can be found with relative ease in many parts of the U.S. In addition, these beers are consistent, provide tons of flavor and have brought years of drinking enjoyment.

The Treebeard of beers, Sierra Nevada Pale Ale was available at the very dawn of the new age of craft beer. Emerging from the dark age of weak industrialized lagers, it illuminated a different path that many craft brewers would follow in the coming years. The beer that put Cascade hops on the map remains a tasty brew with good balance of hop bitterness, citrus, pine and malt. This beer paved the way and is still going strong coming up on half a century later, and if that isn’t worth toasting, I’m not sure what is.

When this beer was first released, people would wonder if the sediment that can appear in the bottom of bottles was a sign there was something wrong with it, and brewery staff would have to educate people that it was just because it is unfiltered. Those misgivings aside, the beer went on to become the most award-winning wheat beer in history and help bring true Belgian-style beers to the American masses. It remains light, refreshing and a summer drink that always disappears fast from my refrigerator.

Brooklyn Lager

Type: Amber lager

Released: 1988

Released in 1988, this beer is almost as old as I am and positively ancient in craft beer years, where popular beers seem to rise and fall within the space of a few months. But not only does this beer have tremendous staying power, it is the brew that sent me down the craft beer rabbit hole and was featured at my wedding in 2014. More importantly for other drinkers, this modern take on a pre-Prohibition style lager is smooth, crisp and full of character with grapefruit, flower and pine notes.

It’s hard to believe that there was a time when canned beer was associated with poor quality. The Oskar Blues Brewery changed that with the release of Dale’s Pale Ale in a can nearly two decades ago. While some craft breweries had canned beer previously, Dale’s was the canned craft beer that stuck and broke the dominance bottles had previously held on craft. Malt- and pine-forward by today’s standards, Dale’s is perfect for those who miss, or want to experience for the first time, the complex flavors that helped make craft beer a dominant force in American drinking.

Sip of Sunshine

Released 2014

Contract brewed at Two Roads Brewing Co. in Stratford by Vermont brewery Lawson’s Finest Liquids, this beer used to be like a secret handshake in Connecticut. If you knew the owner of a liquor store and were lucky, they might have a four-pack of it available. These days, its availability has increased in Connecticut and several other states. It is probably the hardest beer to find on this list, but it’s also a favorite. Bright and tropical, this precursor to the haze bombs lives up to its sunshine inspired name while still hitting with more than enough bitterness to let you know you’re drinking an IPA.

The arrival of fall means the return of football season, and has football fans everywhere clamoring for weekends spent cheering on their favorite teams. Here are some of the best gathering spots on Cape Cod to enjoy food, fun and football this autumn.

Cape Cod Coffee in Mashpee has more than just a passion for great coffee. On Sundays, the restaurant's heated outdoor pavilion with firepits makes it the perfect spot to catch football action. Large screen TVs are strategically placed for optimal viewing by small or large groups, and  you can nosh on half priced appetizers like nachos and wings with the purchase of a pitcher of beer. If you feel adventurous, their craft cocktails are as creative as they come, including the seasonally charming Apple Spice Margarita and Apple Pie Mule.

Bobby Byrnes Pub (locations in Mashpee and Hyannis ) prides itself as an eating, drinking and talking establishment, all of which are synonymous with game day fun. The pub has 12 beers on tap, with Shipyard Pumpkinhead and Sam Adams Octoberfest headlining the fall lineup. Score big with such appetizers as their signature gigantic pretzel, crispy potato skins and fish tacos.

With locations in Falmouth , Mashpee , Centerville and West Yarmouth , the Ninety Nine Restaurant (99) is a game day staple across the Cape. Full size appetizers like gold fever wings and mac & cheese bites are only $6.99 at the bar on Football Frenzy days, and giveaways are also part of the Sunday festivities. The new fall menu recently debuted, and the pork carnitas burger is the star attraction.

Dino’s Sports Bar in Mashpee lives up to its name, offering just about anything a hungry and thirsty football fan could want. There are no bad seats in the house at Dino's to catch a game, with multiple big screens set up all around the sports pub. Patrons swear by the fresh made pizza, calzones, steak tips and wings. Don't miss the Game Day Special - a large cheese pizza and a pitcher of beer for $25.99. The Quahog Republic Dive Bar in Falmouth is buzzing with energy on football Sundays, as radio station Pixy 103 broadcasts live from this laid-back bar and restaurant. There are 14 beers on tap, but you may want to opt instead for their popular Johnny Quahog Bloody Mary - sundried tomato infused vodka, poblano peppers, and garlic garnished with bacon and green olives. Their self-proclaimed "monsta" lobster roll and bar pies are favorites for football fans, and an adjacent game room with arcade games, darts and shuffleboard is a great way to entertain the kids or enjoy halftime. Over in Hyannis, the Ten Pin Eatery offers multiple big screen TVs to enjoy the game, both at the bar or as you bowl; you can even step your game up by reserving their VIP Lounge if you want extra privacy. Wing choices include Buffalo, BBQ, Parmesan Garlic and Teriyaki Ginger. The Bomb Shelter Pub is attached to the Wellfleet Bookstore and Restaurant , which affords amazing waterfront views near Mayo Beach. Head upstairs to the Bookstore Restaurant after the whistle blows for the freshest oysters and locally sourced dishes.

Gannon’s Tavern in Hyannis offers an extensive menu of drinks, with more than 20 different whiskeys and tequilas, eight different beers on tap and more than a dozen wines by the glass and bottle.  The flatbreads are a staple at Gannon’s and their Sunday Funday bar special is buy one, get one free pizza. The Sea Dog Brew Pub in South Yarmouth offers half priced apps and 50 cent wings & tenders during all NFL games (in-house), and their brewpub pretzel sticks, loaded nachos and fried pickles are sure to make your game viewing experience more enjoyable. The Sea Dog specializes in craft beers, with 10 beers on draft and more than a dozen choices by can or bottle. Also be sure to check out their Game Day Platters to go, including the Tackle Platter (loaded with steak & cheese egg rolls, mac & cheese bites, pretzel sticks and mozzarella sticks). Nearby in West Yarmouth, Scally’s Irish Ale House is another great spot to watch your favorite team and enjoy dozens of international and local beer choices, a variety of Irish whiskies and signature craft cocktails.
