Luke Combs

The tour will also make stops in Albany, N.Y.; Charleston, S.C.; Oklahoma City and more. Joining Combs are openers Jordan Davis , Mitchell Tenpenny , Morgan Wade and Lainey Wilson .

In announcing the tour, Combs is cognizant of the increasing prices people are paying for everything from groceries to gas, and he is adamant about keeping his concert ticket prices affordable.

“I know that the price of everything has been going up these last couple years and there’s nothing I can do about that, but the one thing I could do is set the price of my tickets,” Combs said via a statement. “So, what I wanted to do was keep the ticket prices the same as they were before the pandemic. I really really hope you guys will come out and check us out. Can’t wait to see you on the road!”

Combs added via a statement, “I’ve been working on this album on and off for two and a half years now. It was sort of a crazy process through what COVID brought, and what that meant for our touring life last year. It made me have to put a pause on this album for a second, but I’m just really stoked that it’s finally coming out. Working with Chip Matthews and Jonathan Singleton as a producer has been really great and I think that the fans are going to love these songs. I’m just excited to get them out and see what they think.”

Prior to his tour, Combs will make a headlining performance to close out the Stagecoach festival in Indio, Calif., on May 1, and will also headline festivals including New Orleans JazzFest and BottleRock in Napa Valley, Calif. in May. He also has sold-out stadium shows set for Denver’s Empower Field at Mile High (May 21), Atlanta’s Mercedes-Benz Stadium (July 30) and Seattle’s Lumen Field (June 4).

See Luke Combs’ Setlist From Opening Night of His World Tour

Luke Combs had the crowd at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, in the palm of his hand on Saturday (March 25). It was opening night of his World Tour, and the "Going, Going, Gone" singer did what he does best: Kept it simple and let the music speak for itself.

Buy Luke Combs Tickets Here

After several openers —  Riley Green , Lainey Wilson , Flatland Cavalry and Brent Cobb  — Combs captivated the audience song after song. He opened the show with roaring rendition of "Lovin' on You" that got the sold-out stadium crowd on their feet, singing along. He kept the energy up with "Hannah Ford Road" and "Cold as You" before gently coaxing the audience into his more sentimental songs.

Combs gave his band their time in the spotlight, too, as he introduced them to the crowd. He stepped back and allowed them to take center stage as they covered a few recognizable choruses: "Dust on the Bottle" (David Lee Murphy), "Meet in the Middle" (Diamond Rio) and "When I Was Your Man" (Bruno Mars).

The North Carolina native also took a moment to himself. He told the audience he likes to perform one song solo at each show, and after grabbing his guitar, Combs delivered his non-drinking drinking song "Joe."

He gave some backstory prior to performing "Houston, We Got a Problem." He revealed that his first tour stop after signing a record deal was in Texas. He had just met now-wife Nicole, whom he described as "the woman who would eventually change my life." Both the state and his newfound love inspired him to write the song as soon as he returned to Nashville.

After hitting everyone in the feels with the songs inspired by his bride, Combs began revving up the engine again. He finished out his set with "Beer Never Broke My Heart," but as everyone knows, there's always an encore — and he still hadn't played one of his biggest songs.

The audience shouted in delight when the opening guitar riff of "The Kind of Love We Make" rang out from the stage. Combs returned to give the fans what they wanted, diving headfirst into his rendition of "Brand New Man." He brought Wilson, Green and Cobb out to join him before closing out the show.

Just one day before the tour launched, the "Doin' This" singer released a new album titled Gettin' Old . Despite its newness, the crowd had clearly done their homework: With each song, you could hear thousands of people singing back every lyric, word for word.

Combs' World Tour will pick up again on Saturday, April 1, in Indianapolis, Ind. The trek will continue through Oct. 19, with Combs and his crew jetting off to New Zealand, Australia and Europe during the second half.

Luke Combs conquers Denver with sold-out stadium show

luke combs tour 2022 setlist

  • Reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year Luke Combs kicked off his "Stadium Series" in Denver.
  • Combs performed for more than 50,000 fans inside Empower Field at Mile High.
  • A trio of fast-rising artists - Morgan Wade, Zach Bryan and Cody Johnson - opened the show.

DENVER, Colorado — Luke Combs climbed to the peak of country music's mountaintop this weekend — embracing the view with an ear-to-ear grin and drink in his hand.

Combs performed Saturday for a sold-out crowd of roughly 53,000 inside Empower Field at Mile High, the first N.F.L. stadium headlined by the "Forever After All" singer since he barnstormed country music five years ago with his remarkable rise from Nashville underdog to reigning CMA Entertainer of the Year.

And, as he soaked in the chilly view from 5,280 feet a day after snow covered seats inside the stadium, Combs admitted he "never, never, never, never thought in a million years" that this would happen to him.

"Today [is] the most surreal thing that has ever happened to me. It's really hard to imagine or to even process in my own head what the hell is actually going on right now. [It's] insane to me," Combs said from the towering Mile High stage.

He added, "Seven years ago, I had never been on an airplane ... I'd never lived more than an hour-and-a-half away from my parents. And here I am, three quarters away, across the United States with 53,000 people in a football stadium, playing songs that I wrote in my living room with my friends."

But as he held center stage for the two-hour show, Combs proved why he and his growing collection of hits sound best with a stadium-sized crowd singing along. The 32-year-old North Carolina native and his seven-piece band thundered through the songs that got him there: "Hurricane," "She Got The Best Of Me," "Beautiful, Crazy," "Cold As You," his latest country radio No. 1 "Doin' This" ... and the list goes on.

He shotgunned a beer during drinkin' tune "1, 2 Many," dedicated "Forever After All" to his pregnant wife Nicole and encouraged the dreamers sitting two rows from the top of the stadium — as he once did as a 21-year-old at a Kenny Chesney and Tim McGraw concert — before delivering "What Memories Are Made Of."

And no, Combs didn't cut corners on opening talent for his Mile High debut, either.

Country music fans may not find a better slate of fast-rising entertainers on a one-night stage this year: Morgan Wade, a newcomer schooled in singing truth-telling anthems with her unvarnished drawl; Zach Bryan, a troubadour and Navy veteran who climbed from DIY roots to release this week a mammoth 34-song major label debut album; and Cody Johnson, a neotraditional Texan who’s dominating country radio.

“Mile High, I’ll be honest, this is the biggest crowd I’ve ever played for,” Bryan said as he popped open a Budweiser tallboy. “It means the world.”

After nearly two dozen songs — including rollicking covers of Garth Brooks and Alan Jackson — Combs inched toward closing his set with cornerstone hit "When It Rains It Pours" before returning for a three song encore: Big-voiced ballad "Better Together," David Lee Murphy cover "Dust On The Bottle" with Johnson and fist-pumping crowd favorite "Beer Never Broke My Heart."

Tossing his red cup into the audience, he soaked in the view once more before kicking into a beefy chant of "Long. Neck. Ice. Cold. Beer."

"Denver, have we had fun tonight?" Combs said, closing his show. "I love y'all. I owe my whole ... life to every single one of y'all in here."

Luke Combs cheekily teases tour setlist

Luke Combs has teased his upcoming tour’s setlist — and it only has one song on it: “Fast Car.”

The country star took to Instagram recently to jokingly share a glimpse of the list of songs fans can expect.

“We just finished our run-through of the set. Feeling really good. Tour starts next week, which is unreal to me,” Luke said in the video after rehearsals. “So thought I’d give you guys a little sneak peek of one of the nights, not both nights, one of the nights of the set so you know what to expect for Fridays.”

Luke then showed the setlist sheet, which listed “Fast Car” from one to 25, alluding to the potentiality of his cover of Tracy Chapman ‘s hit being performed 25 times.

“Pause it if you need, check it out, tell me what you think. See y’all next week,” Luke continued with a straight face, not missing a beat of his prank.

“HAHAHAHAHAAHAHAHAH I AM DEAD…. DEAD PAN AT ITS FINEST,” fellow country singer and Sony Music Nashville labelmate Nate Smith commented.

“Ok but how can you skip Fast Car?” Dan + Shay ‘s Dan Smyers also said in the comments.

Luke’s upcoming Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old Tour kicks off April 12 and April 13 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. For tickets and a full list of dates, visit lukecombs.com .

Luke Combs Teases Live Version of Unreleased Song, Fans Ready to Cry

L uke Combs is gearing up for his highly anticipated Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old tour. And despite rumors that the setlist is just “Fast Car” 25 times in a row, fans are excited to hear the country artist’s biggest hits, along with some fresh material. The “Beautiful Crazy” singer has been sharing snippets of unreleased tunes with his social media followers for the past few months. And now it looks like concertgoers will get to finally get to hear one tune in its entirety.

Luke Combs Is Excited to Play This Song

The three-time GRAMMY nominee introduced a touching new track, “The Man He Sees in Me,” back in January. On Wednesday (April 3,) Combs shared a video of himself rehearsing the song to his Instagram account.

“Looking forward to playing ‘The Man He Sees in Me’ for y’all on tour!” the North Carolina native wrote in the caption.

Fans Are ‘Ready to Cry’

Now 34, Combs headed in a more mature direction with his 2023 album Gettin’ Old . He and wife Nicole Hocking welcomed a second son , Beau, in August 2023. Their older son, Tex, was born in June 2022.

The wisdom of fatherhood has mostly replaced the typical country music mainstays – girls, bars and small-town life – and fans have made it clear they are prepared to grow with Combs.

“If I’m crying in the pit, mind ya business,” one Instagram user commented.

Another fan added, “Bring tissues to concert got it.”

Get Tickets to the Growin’ Up and Gettin’ Old Tour

Combs’ fifth tour kicks off April 12 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He’ll visit just about every major U.S. city, ending Aug. 10 in Houston, Texas.

The “Hurricane” singer will play two nights in each city. However, don’t expect to see the same show twice. Combs has indicated that each concert will consist of separate set lists, separate opening acts, and unique setups.

Additionally, Combs is bringing back his “Bootleggers Tailgate Party” for the latest tour. These events will take place each weekend ahead of Combs’ Saturday show, starting at 3 p.m.

It’s been a big year for Combs. His cover of Tracy Chapman’s timeless 1988 hit “Fast Car” snagged Song of the Year at the 2023 Country Music Association awards. Combs’ version also topped the Country Airplay chart, making Chapman the first Black woman to do so.
