ICON Vehicle Dynamics 2005-2023 Toyota Tacoma suspension systems are designed with maximum performance and the serious driver in mind. Throughout the development of these systems ICON engineers’ primary focus is to increase wheel travel and damping ability, which translates into outstanding vehicle control and ride quality both on and off-road. This Stage 8 system goes a step further in delivering ICON performance to the Tacoma with the addition of rear suspension components that include an ICON RXT multi-rate leaf spring and a unique RXT-specific 2.5 Aluminum Series shock.

The Stage 9 system includes vehicle-specific tuned 2.5 Series Extended Travel coilover shocks featuring a remote reservoir with CDCV for exceptional cooling properties and ICON-engineered coil springs for superior vehicle “feel” through the range of travel. These coilovers are also height adjustable from 0-3.5” for 2005-2015 models or 0-2.75" for 2016-2023 models, allowing the use of larger, more aggressive wheel and tire combinations. Used in conjunction with the included ICON upper control arm, these extended travel coilovers add increased droop travel to the front suspension. The included ICON tubular upper control arm kit is designed to improve the overall performance of the Toyota Tacoma with corrected front-end geometry, built in additional caster, and improved suspension component clearance. To increase the ride quality of the truck and gain additional droop travel, the ICON RXT multi-rate leaf springs are added to the rear. Designed with an additional leaf (included with kit) that can be exchanged or added to the pack to yield an additional 10-20% spring rate, this leaf spring is perfect for drivers seeking improved rear ride quality in an “unloaded” vehicle as well as those that are have outfitted their trucks with a significant amount of weight in the form of a bed rack, roof top tent, spare tires, parts, or other additions. To compliment this increase in rear wheel travel the Stage 9 system includes a unique 2.5 Aluminum Series remote reservoir shock with CDCV that features a side-mount eyelet that making it shorter in collapsed length, longer at extension, and still fits in the factory mounting location. A large ten-inch remote reservoir was added to aid in heat dissipation and resist shock fade during spirited driving. The included ICON CDC Valves are externally adjustable valves that restricts oil flow into the reservoir which creates 10 levels of compression damping force ranges.

This system features tubular front upper control arms with ICON's patented Delta Joint . The Delta Joint is a heavy-duty high angle ball joint that combines the durability of a ball joint with the performance characteristics of a traditional uniball. While the industry standard uniball does a great job of allowing the control arms of a vehicle to articulate with little bind, they do have an inherent weakness that leaves more to be desired when used in a daily driven application - exposure to the elements. The Delta Joint features a zinc plated housing providing the first layer of corrosion resistance, while a tough grease seal keeps potentially harmful elements out of the inner workings of the joint. Metal on metal construction and a greaseable design increase the longevity of the Delta Joint while at the same time allowing for noise-free operation. What makes the Delta Joint unique is that it brings the best of both worlds to ICON upper control arms with features that make it more robust than a uniball, and at the same time capable of greater angularity than a typical ball joint.

ICON 2005+ Toyota Tacoma CDCV Coilovers 700LB # 58735C-700

This ICON Vehicle Dynamics # 58735C-700 Coilover System is designed to fit the 2005 - 2021 Toyota Tacoma 6-lug trucks. This lift will only fit the 4x4 and PreRunner Tacoma trucks equipped with 6-lug wheels. If your Tacoma has 5-lug wheels this coilover will not work. Please note, because this coilover features ICON's Extended Travel design it is strongly recommended that you also run aftermarket upper control arms designed for use with this type of coilover. ICON does not recommend use of the Extended Travel coilovers with factory upper control arms.

ICON Vehicle Dynamics Extended Travel Coilovers # 58735C-700 feature a 2.5" body nitrogen-charged race style shock that delivers a great ride both on and off the road. This item will only fit 2005, 2006, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 and 2021 model year Toyota Tacoma 4x4 and PreRunner 6-lug models. This kit will not fit 5-lug models! Although it is possible to achieve up to 3" of lift over stock height we do not recommended going over 2" due to the reduction in ride quality that can be caused by the increased spring length and too much spring preload. If you plan on running the ICON coilovers at 2"+ inches of lift ICON offers a Tubular Steel Upper Control Arm that will allow proper alignment at higher lift heights and provide an increase in rebound suspension travel. Additional rebound suspension travel will help improve the ride and handling both on and off-road.

CDCV Features: The ICON CDC Valve is an externally adjustable valve that restricts oil flow into the reservoir creating 10 levels of compression damping force ranges. Controlling the amount of oil flow externally allows optimizing of ride quality for varying terrains. With the addition of an ICON CDC Valve a different tune is required on the working piston to get the ride quality range of adjustment to softer than standard at the “S” setting and much firmer than standard at the “H” setting. The ICON CDC Valve piston is custom tuned per application with different valve stacks because not all shocks or applications are equal. Adding on the CDC Valve is not a one size fits all if you want optimum performance. The CDCV external knob allows for 10 levels of adjustment. Each detent from S-H is a noticeable difference in ride. When engineering this feature into each shock application, the main shock piston is re-calibrated such that setting “4” is equivalent to the non CDCV version. This allows for both a softer and firmer ride than the same application without this option. The ICON CDC Valve brings a new thinking to the table with an upgrade option that offers true ride quality diversity.

700 LB Spring Rate Information: The coil spring s installed on these coilovers are uprated from what ICON normally provides. The 700 LB rate spring is designed for a Tacoma equipped with significant additional weight over stock. Roof top tent, heavy duty skid plates and sliders, heavy front bumper with winch... etc. If your Tacoma is relatively stock in terms of weight this coilover is NOT a good match. If your Tacoma has LOTS of add-ons the additional spring rate may be very beneficial. If you aren't sure if this spring rate is correct for your truck please contact us before placing an order.

King 2.5 Extended Travel Coilovers

The front of Tacoma's use A-Arms with a large motion ratio so large shocks are required to provide off-road capability. King 2.5 coilovers provide the diameter necessary to make the damping force required to prevent your Tacoma from being too bouncy. The remote reservoirs decrease the operating pressure for a smoother ride and longer life span. The extended travel allows for lift heights up to 2.5" without the suspension overextending. King 2.5 Remote Reservoir Rear Shocks

Toyota Tacoma's carrying heavy loads or seeing serious off-road use should use a large diameter 2.5 shocks for greater durability and tunability. 

Compression Adjusters

Compression adjusters are useful when changing weight (light DD, heavy weekend warrior), changing terrain (tight handling on-road, soft off-road), and for ultimate control over your ride quality (handling vs harshness). Low-speed compression damping adjustment controls handling vs harshness on washboard and gravel roads. High-speed compression controls damping on speed bumps, potholes, and whoops. Fox 2.0's are available with low-speed Compression (LSC) adjustment. Fox 2.5's are available with separate high and low-speed compression adjustments (DSC). 

R4T (Deaver) Add-A-Leaf

Our R4T AAL provides a 1.5" lift to the rear of your 05+ Tacoma at stock weight in the rear. This is the perfect lift for a daily driver with no weight in the rear.

Icon Add-A-Leaf

Icon Add-A-Leaf rear springs provide up to a 1.5 lift to the rear of your 05+ Toyota Tacoma at a stock weight in the rear. For maximum lift use all three leaves and leave the stock overload. For slightly less lift the factory overload leaf can be removed.

Icon RXT Leaf Pack

The Icon RXT rear leaf pack offers better ride quality, off-road performance, and more travel than the mini-pack. The Icon Tacoma RXT leaf pack is user-configurable to three lift heights & spring rates so it can be customized to suit your needs while providing up to 12" of travel.   Lift height compared to stock: + 2.625” (unloaded) lift height over stock with 600 lbs in bed: + 1.125”.

Deaver Leaf Pack

The Deaver leaf pack offers great ride quality and great weight capacity. Deaver has been around for so long so it has been tested and proven to be one of the best.  Stage 1: +2" w/ 0-300lbs. Stage 2: +2" w/ 400-600lbs. Stage 3: +2" w/ 700-1000lbs.
