Me and a friend are flying to Mexico on 30th April, we were wondering if it’d be better to book excursions with our holiday reps (Tui) or book with hotel reps or people selling trips outside the hotel.
I think I read somewhere about you could book excursions with Riu itself and they’re cheaper for the same tour. It’s my first time in Riu a hotel so I’ve never been aware of this option.
Any help would be appreciated.
We have been there many times and returning 4/28. The reps are higher. Talk to one of the bell hop's or the guy at the check in. They can get you a better deal. Bring your big yeti for drinks at the pool bar. See you at the pool bar!

I’m due to travel in a couple of weeks and will be staying at the grand riviera princess resort, I visited Mexico last year and remember some of the excursions tui reps were offering but they were quite pricey from what I remember. Looking to visit xel ha and unsure on wether I should book it in advance through their website now or if i should wait until we’re there and book through a rep just because of the weather situation and don’t want to end up going on a rainy day if I can help it. Does anyone have a picture of a price list from the tui reps from this season or anyone remember any prices?? Looking to go to coco bingo again too but just unsure on wether it’s worth us going there on our own or with the bar crawl with the tui reps. Thanks!
We went on our own to CB’s this time. We didn’t want to do the full crawl as our hotel was only a 5-10 minute walk from there. We had a CB rep that was at the hotel for about 1 hour daily. You might want to ask at the lobby if there’s someone from Coco’s about and buy directly.
As for other excursions, depends on whether you want transfers etc. I haven’t been to those parks as I prefer smaller, private tours to places rather than lots of people. There’s nothing to stop you booking it online once you’re there over the Wi-fi and asking the hotel if they can print the voucher for you.

I don’t. I was in Mexico in Feb but not at a hotel on TUI’s list. Sorry! You could try looking at the excursion prices online vs the park ticket prices online and then comparing against that when you get there.
Thanks for your reply. Can I ask what you paid for your entrance to cb going on your own? I’m aware there are different entrance packages aswell such as vip etc. Last time when we did the bar crawl we just had general entrance which was quite crowded but I think the atmosphere was still great.
Will have a look into booking prices then, just a bit sceptical about the weather with it being November. Thanks
Hi.I'm traveling soon to Mexico too. I think better is wait until you get there. Tui reps might have better offers. Website is bit to expensive. All over 100£. And there you pay in usd$ and Mexican pesos.

Go to Plaza Caracol at KM 8.5 of the Hotel Zone. You will find a few people selling tours. If you are flexible it will be even cheaper, like booking for the next day.
